Hey AKIMI let me just REMIND YOU that Tobirama was Kagami's teacher and it is DISGUSTING that you ship them! And kakanaru! And kakahina! And kakasaku! AND ANY TEACHER/STUDENT SHIP YOU MAY HAVE!! Listen, filth, adults should not go around DATING CHILDREN!! Get this through your thick skull you idiot! You dumbass!! I can't believe I was ever considered friends with you. Publish this, I'll be watching. You can argue with me, you can call me out, but you can't delete this! Publish this. Publish it.
Hi Starry! I am assuming itā€™s you since youā€™re the only one I know whoā€™s bitter enough to do this. And on anon? Iā€™m kind of surprised! If youā€™re so passionate about this, you shouldnā€™t be on anon. You should come right out and let people know who you are! Come on, donā€™t be ashamed. Not sure I want to give you the satisfaction of having your username posted on here so you can have some glory. Maybe Iā€™ll just keep you anonymous. *Dirty Little Secret plays in the bg*Ā Ā
Iā€™m glad youā€™re still stalking my blog! Itā€™s funny youā€™re assuming my ships since youā€™re wrong on most of them. I donā€™t know where you got the idea of who I shipped, but Iā€™m glad that you donā€™t even bother to read my tags! If you notice, most ships I reblog are tagged withĀ ā€œnmsā€ which meansĀ ā€œnot my shipā€. Itā€™s this super cool invention called anĀ ā€œinitialismā€. And by power of deduction and critical thinking, that means I donā€™t ship those particular characters. I use that tag for 99% of the ships I reblog. I reblog the post because I like the art style and want to support the artist, especially with the newĀ ā€œbest stuff firstā€ policy. Yikes! Tumblr had a boo-boo with that update.Ā
Iā€™m just getting to the Itachi Pursuit Arc, so I donā€™t know much about Tobirama or Kagami. I didnā€™t know they were teacher and student, and thatā€™s surprising to me since I DO know Tobirama hates the Uchiha. And I donā€™t ship Kaka//Naru, itā€™s one of my no-go ships. And Kaka//Saku? My least favorite. All my mutuals (almost all lol) ship it, though, and I respect them and love them still. But KakaHina? Oh yes, that is my ship. My lovely, lovely ship. I was actually going to draw a special KakaHina picture just for you and tag you in it, but I didnā€™t want to be too petty.Ā
I donā€™t ship children and adults together. I donā€™t even really like student/teacher relationships in media. You want to know why? Because a lot of my teachers in school were abusers. A lot of them manipulated students. A lot of the ones I liked and trusted and had classes with used their underage students and harmed them. I hate how itā€™s portrayed in media as somethingĀ ā€œoh so wrong but oh so rightā€ because it teaches kids and adults that itā€™s okay when itā€™s not. But hereā€™s a thing: I ship 18+ year old Hinata with characters. Not 12 year old Hinata. Not 15 year old Hinata. 18 year old Hinata. That may seem weird to you but age gaps arenā€™t too big of a deal for me when someoneā€™s over 18 because there are huge age gaps in my family. My parents are 10 years apart. My aunt is like 20 years younger than her husband. My brother is 23 years older than me. If people donā€™t jive with age gaps like that, then thatā€™s fine. I donā€™t mind. My irl friends think itā€™s a little strange but they love and respect me (and are on the look out for a sugar daddy for me lmao).Ā
I agree, adults shouldnā€™t date children. Itā€™s wrong and gross. Thatā€™s why I ship adult characters together. Isnā€™t it so cool that Hinata actually AGES in the show? She actually doesnā€™t STAY 12 years old?! Who knew she wasnā€™t the 6 year old vampire Claudia from The Vampire Chronicles all along! Thank God thereā€™s such a thing as the passing of time. I know I wouldnā€™t want to be 12 forever. I hope you donā€™t either.Ā
Iā€™m sorry you feel so hateful and felt the need to stalk me after you blocked me on Tumblr. Iā€™m sorry you feel the need to send me an anon message calling me filth and a dumbass (actually thatā€™s the first time thatā€™s happened lol, I feel like I accomplished something!). But I put up with your ships even when I didnā€™t like them or agree with them. I put up with your fanfictions and fanart of characters I donā€™t see together. I was kind about it, I was encouraging, I was gentle, I was compassionate, and I kept my mouth shut. Iā€™m sorry that you felt the need to abandon ship (no pun intended) when you discovered my ship. (Which, by the way, since I know you saw my header since youā€™re stalking me, youā€™ll see the screen cap is from when theyā€™re planning Narutoā€™s wedding. Naruto gets married at 19. That means Hinata is 19 in that photo. A lot of my friends and FAMILY got married at 19. One of my friends got married at 19 to a 26 year old.)Ā
Also since youā€™re stalking me, that TobiKaga pic was posted 3 days ago. That either means you waited 3 days to concoct this beautiful hate message, trying to find the perfect words (great use ofĀ ā€œidiotā€ and repetition ofĀ ā€œpublish thisā€) OR you stalked my blog back in 3 days worth of queued posts just to find something to be angry about. I donā€™t know whatā€™s funnier.Ā
If youā€™d sent this 2 days ago, I probably wouldā€™ve been really upset. I wouldā€™ve wanted to delete my blog and go into hiding for a thousand years. But Iā€™m feeling good and youā€™ve inspired me. I think I am finally going to go through with all the KakaHina content Iā€™ve been waiting to make. Thanks! I appreciate the supportive shove.Ā
Though I do have to admit, you did get one thing right. I do have a thick skull. I can be so dense and scatterbrained sometimes. My theater teacher told me,Ā ā€œYouā€™d lose your head if it wasnā€™t screwed on.ā€ Itā€™s true. But right now it looks like youā€™ve lost your head. Hopefully you can find it soon, along with that great dollop of kindness and maturity you kept telling me you had.Ā
And IĀ ā€œcanā€™t delete thisā€ message? Uhhhā€¦ yeah I can. Itā€™s called theĀ ā€œdelete button.ā€ It looks like this
Tumblr media
At least it does in Japanese.Ā
Hey! While Iā€™m at it, let me tell you about my other ships!! So in RWBY I ship 18 year old Blake Belladonna with her best friendā€™s uncle, Qrow Branwen; her best friendā€™s DAD, Taiyang Xiao Long; her mortal enemy, Roman Torchwick; and her headmaster, Ozpin who is literally thousands of years old! I also think Hinata would be so cute with any of the other jounin in NARUTO! Genma? Raidou? Hayate? Why not! Heck, why not ship her with Jiraiya or Yamato. I could even do a time travel fic where she ends up with one of the Uchiha or Senju. I love AUs!Ā
ā€œI canā€™t believe I was ever considered friends with youā€. LMAO. I love that you think that 1) this is an insult, and 2) this is the first time Iā€™ve heard that.Ā šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ As if these past 4 years have been anything other than people leaving me. But honestly? BIG MOOD. Same gurl, same. And Iā€™m glad youā€™ve kept your sense of humor through this traumatic event. God bless the comedians. But Iā€™M STILL LAUGHING THAT YOU THINK I SHIP KAKA//NARU OR KAKA//SAKU. LMAAAOOOOO. NO HATE TO THOSE WHO DO BUT Iā€™M SO CONFUSED BECAUSE ?? WHERE. ON. MY. BLOG. DID. YOU. SEE. THAT??? Kaka//Saku is a blocked tag of mine. The ONE (1) thing I have on my blog flagged as K//S is a Kakashi fanart where the OP mentioned K//S in their caption. I have a gut ache from laughing.Ā
Gosh, your message is great. I love it. Iā€™m thinking about making it a screenshot and setting it as my new header. Iā€™m gonna put heart filters and sparkles on it. Maybe a face of an angry dog on it too for good measure. Priceless. Thank you for this gem. I was gonna go to bed on a sour note after some trouble figuring out work stuff, but this really boosted my mood.Ā
You always know what to say to make me feel better aww ;)Ā
Well sweet dreams! I hope you read all of this! It was so much fun to write it. Iā€™d hate for you to miss any part of it. (Donā€™t be that guy who starts an argument and then never reads the personā€™s response because theyĀ ā€œdonā€™t careā€. Thatā€™s just rude. Bad manners. Kind of like going into peopleā€™s inboxes and sending hate. Tsk tsk, who would ever do that? Oh ā€¦ wait ā€¦)Ā
Also I found a song for you!Ā
youtube
xoxoxĀ šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’– Thanks for the message, nonny! Means so much youā€™re thinking about me!
OMG I JUST REALIZED. My tag for you wasĀ ā€œsplendidā€. In Japanese,Ā ā€œsplendidā€ is ē«‹ę“¾ (rippa). I guess you RIPPAā€™d me a new one with this message!! Hahahaha.

Manga the Week of 2/3/21
SEAN: February! The most depressing month of the year! Letā€™s cheer ourselves up with some new titles!
Airship has two digital-first light novels: Classroom of the Elite 7.5 and The Saintā€™s Magic Power Is Omnipotent 3.
J-Novel Club has LOTS of stuff. Letā€™s start with print, as we get two new omnibuses. Banner of the Stars 1-3 is the light novel series, while How A Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom 1-2 is a collection of the manga.
ASH: The Banner of the Stars omnibus looks nice.
SEAN: Also in print: Ascendance of a Bookworm 7 (the final volume of the 2nd arc), By the Grace of the Gods 2, and In Another World with My Smartphone 14.
ASH: Hooray for more Bookworm!
SEAN: Digitally, J-Novel Club has two debuts. The Great Cleric (Seija Musou ā€“ Salaryman, Isekai de Ikinokoru Tame ni Ayumu Michi), whose manga adaptation Kodansha is already putting out here, is the first. A reincarnated Salaryman decides to try to live to a nice old age by being a healer. Little does he knowā€¦
The other debut is Sheā€™s the Cutestā€¦ But Weā€™re Just Friends! (Ore no Onna Tomodachi ga Saikou ni Kawaii), a relatively recent series. A guy finds that the hottest girl in the school shares the same gaming hobbies he does. They quickly become best friendsā€¦ so why does everyone think theyā€™re dating? This looks cute and fun.
Also out digitally: Animeta! 5, An Archdemonā€™s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride 4 (manga version), Banner of the Stars 5, I Shall Survive Using Potions! 4 (manga version), Invaders of the Rokujouma!? 35, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen 10, and The Worldā€™s Least Interesting Magic Swordsman 5.
MICHELLE: Animeta! is pretty fun.
ASH: Iā€™ve been enjoying the series, too.
SEAN: No debuts in print for Kodansha, but we do get Edenā€™s Zero 10, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Trinity in Tempest 2, and Witch Hat Atelier 7.
ANNA: Always happy for more Witch Hat Atelier.
ASH: Yes, indeed!
MELINDA: I realize itā€™s probably a very different slime, but after playing a lot of Genshin Impact, is it weird that Iā€™m suddenly interested in that dudeā€™s reincarnation?
The digital debut is My Dearest Self With Malice Aforethought (Shinā€™ai naru Boku e Satsui o Komete), a dark title from Young Magazine. Virgin Eiji wakes up one day to find a girlfriend in his bed, his friend saying he got in a fight, and no memory of the last three days. Whatā€™s going on?
Also digital: Chihayafuru 24, Otherworldly Munchkin: Letā€™s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP! 3, Our Fake Marriage 5, and The Invincible Reincarnated Ponkotsu 3.
MICHELLE: I canā€™t let a mention of Chihayafuru go by without saying ā€œYay!ā€.
ANNA: Wooo!!!
SEAN: Believe it or not, we now move to Viz. The debut is The Kingā€™s Beast (Ou no Kemono), the latest Rei Touma series, and set in the same universe as Dawn of the Arcana. The world isnā€™t great: those who are half-beast, half-human are discriminated against. So our heroine serves under the king disguised as a man. This runs in Cheese!.
MICHELLE: I really liked Dawn of the Arcana and The Water Dragonā€™s Bride, so I expect I will like this, too!
ANNA: I like both of those series, and I enjoy it when a heroine has to disguise herself as a man, so I have high hopes for this.
ASH: Ditto what you both said! Iā€™m looking forward to giving this manga a try.
MELINDA: I admit Iā€™m a little tapped out on ā€œheroine disguises herself as a manā€ when itā€™s not actually about a trans person, but Iā€™ll give it a shot.
SEAN: Shonen! Blue Exorcist 25, Boruto 10, Chainsaw Man 3, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba 20, Dr. STONE 15, JoJoā€™s Bizarre Adventure: Part 4ā€“Diamond Is Unbreakable 8, Jujutsu Kaisen 8, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War 18, Naruto: Shikamaruā€™s Story (a light novel), the 5th and final volume of Samurai 8, Seraph of the End 20, and We Never Learn 14.
ASH: I somehow missed reading the second volume of Chainsaw Man, so Iā€™ll need to fix that. Also need to play some catch up with JoJo, too.
SEAN: Shoujo! Far fewer titles here. Shortcake Cake 11 and Yona of the Dawn 28. (Then again, Yona should count as 4 normal shoujo titles.)
MICHELLE: Iā€™m happy about both of these.
ANNA: Me too!
ASH: Yay, Yona!
SEAN: Yen Press has two debuts. Sasaki and Miyano runs in Gene Pixiv, is based off a webcomic, and sounds sort of like the BL version of Horimiya.
MICHELLE: Thatā€™s intriguing!
ASH: Ooooh, when you describe it like that, I may need to check it out!
MELINDA: Sounds like this could be great!
SEAN: The Vampire and His Pleasant Companions (Kyuuketsuki to Yukai na Nakama-tachi) is a title that runs in Bessatsu Hana to Yume. A BL title based off of a novel, with art by the creator of Baby & Me, for those who recall that old Viz series. This is nothing like Baby & Me, but has lots of hot men, hot vampires, and hot vampire men.
MICHELLE: I was just reading about this mangaka yesterday because Kodansha announced their March debits and one of them is Ragawa-senseiā€™s Those Snow White Notes (Mashiro no Oto). Must be her time to shine.
ANNA: I have to admit, Iā€™m intrigued by all these combinations of hotness.
MELINDA: There are some things that never get old. And by ā€œsome thingsā€ I mean ā€œhot vampiresā€.
SEAN: Also out next week: Bungo Stray Dogs 17, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody 10 (manga version), Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side: Sword Oratoria 14 (manga version), and Sword Art Online Progressive Barcarolle of Froth 2 (also a manga version, though the LN doesnā€™t have the subtitle).
Chilled to the bone this winter? Heat up with some manga. What are you buying?

Manga the Week of 9/2/20
SEAN: Itā€™s always September, somewhere in Manga Land! What do we have for you this first week of the month?
Cross Infinite World has a 2nd volume of Beast Blood.
Denpa snuck out a release last week, though apparently the print comes a bit later. The Girl with the Sanpaku Eyes (Sanpakugan-chan wa Tsutaetai) is a Gangan Pixiv manga about a girl with ā€œmean eyesā€ and her travails. Our own Kate Dacey reviewed it here.
ASH: Thanks for the review, Kate! Iā€™ve been curious about this one.
MELINDA: I have, too!
SEAN: No debuts for J-Novel Club this week, but a whooooole lotta other stuff. In print, we get An Archdemonā€™s Dilemma 7, the first Ascendance of a Bookworm manga (I guess thatā€™s a debut), Infinite Dendrogram 8, My Next Life As a Villainess 3 and Sexiled 2.
ASH: Iā€™ve been enjoying the Bookworm novels, so maybe I should give the manga a try, too. As for the second volume of Settled, Iā€™m really looking forward to getting my hands on it.
SEAN: Digitally, thereā€™s By the Grace of the Gods 4, Full Metal Panic! 8, The Greatest Magicmasterā€™s Retirement Plan 6, Kokoro Connect 10, The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar 12, The Unwanted Undead Adventurer 6, and A Very Fairy Apartment 4.
Kodansha has some print for us. Knight of the Ice 3, L*DK 15, Living-Room Matsunaga-san 4, The Quintessential Quintuplets 10, Saint Young Men 3, To Your Eternity 12, and Waiting for Spring 13.
MICHELLE: Iā€™ll be reading several of those, and am especially eager for more Knight of the Ice.
ASH: Oh! Itā€™s a good Kodansha week for me, too!
MELINDA: I need to catch up with both Knight of the Ice and Saint Young Men.
ANNA: Glad for the reminder about Knight of the Ice, Iā€™m already behind!
SEAN: Thereā€™s also digital. The debut is That Time I Got Reincarnated (Again!) as a Workaholic Slime (Tensei Shite Mo Shashiku Datta Kudan), another spinoff of that popular series. This one is only 2 volumes long.
And we get All-Rounder Meguru 16, Cells at Work: Bacteria 3, My Bossā€™s Kitten 6, Smile Down the Runway 13, Stellar Witch LIPā˜†S 2, To Be Next to You 9, and Yuri Is My Job! 6. (The last will have print later, I imagine.)
MICHELLE: Iā€™ve been getting caught up on To Be Next to You and liking it a lot.
SEAN: Seven Seas debuts Cube Arts, a ā€œgamer invited to beta test a game that is more than it seemsā€ story. It ran in Shinchochaā€™s Comic Bunch.
Digitally there is a light novel debut: ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!. A much requested yuri light novel title, this apparently starts off very dark (expect slavery), but has good buzz.
ASH: Hmmm, a yuri light novel could be intriguing.
SEAN: Seven Seas also has, in print, Makeup is Not (Just) Magic: A Manga Guide to Cosmetics and Skin Care, as well as the 3rd Arifureta: I Heart Isekai and My Monster Secret 21.
ASH: Iā€™d actually like to give Makeup is Not (Just) Magic a read.
SEAN: Square Enix gives us a 2nd volume of My Dress-Up Darling.
ASH: Whoops, I havenā€™t actually read the first volume yet, so Iā€™ve already fallen behind.
MELINDA: Oops, same!
SEAN: Tokyopop debuts Ossan Idol! (Ossan (36) ga Idol ni naru Hanashi), an adaptation of a novel that runs in Comic Pash!. A Middle-Aged Man, bullied most of his life, turns his life around and gets buff, cool and handsomeā€¦ but is unaware of this. Now heā€™s been scouted. This looks pretty fun.
Vertical has two debuts. The first we saw a digital release of earlier, but now the Weathering With You manga gets a print release.
MELINDA: I didnā€™t read this in digital, but I enjoyed the movie and I tend to like manga adaptations of Shinkaiā€™s work, so I really should check it out.
SEAN: The other one, With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun (Inu to Neko Docchi mo Katteru to Mainichi Tanoshii) is definitely for animal lovers. Expect ā€œindieā€ art styles, too.
MICHELLE: Definitely checking this one out.
MELINDA: Okay, want.
SEAN: The rest is Viz, mostly. No debuts, but lots to look at. For shoujo stuff, we get Daytime Shooting Star 8, Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits 6, Love Me Love Me Not 4, Not Your Idol 2 (not a final volume, but the series is on hiatus in Japan after this), Skip Beat! 44, and Snow White with the Red Hair 9.
MICHELLE: I intend to read every single one of these, sooner or later. I didnā€™t realize that about Not Your Idol, though. That kind of stinks.
ASH: Itā€™s a good shoujo week! I thought the first volume of Not Your Idol was excellent, so at this point I plan on reading the rest whenever it may be released.
MELINDA: Yes, same for me. Apparently my role in this weekā€™s column is to point to whatever Ash says and repeat, ā€œsame.ā€
ANNA: It is a great week for shoujo! Iā€™m sort of glad I didnā€™t read the first vol of Not Your Idol if it is on hiatus. Iā€™m also especially happy to see a new volume of Skip Beat!
SEAN: On the shonen end, we get Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba 16, Dr. STONE 13, Dragon Ball Super 10, Haikyu!! 40, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War 16, One Piece: Aceā€™s Story 2 (final volume, and also a novel), and SPY x FAMILY 2.
MICHELLE: My love for Haikyu!! is pretty well documented at this point, so I will instead squee about how cute and great SPY x FAMILY is.
ASH: Likewise! Those are the two series from this batch which are getting most of my love this week.
ANNA: Nice, I need to read more SPY x FAMILY
SEAN: Lastly, Yen On had one August title skitter all the way into September: the 9th So Iā€™m a Spider, So What? novel.
Which of these make the best titles to hide in your textbook while class is going on?
