[ad_1] GG News Bureau Jabalpur, 28th Oct. An FIR has been lodged against Narendra Singh Tomar, the director of Hal Agri Farmer Producer Company Limited, for fraudulently profiting at the expense of farmers. This action follows directives from Collector Deepak Saxena after an investigation revealed that the company failed to return 3,162 quintals of substandard chickpeas, valued at ₹1,68,69,270, acquired at the minimum support price during the Rabi marketing year 2023-24. The case came to light after several farmers filed complaints regarding non-payment for their chickpeas. In response, Collector Saxena formed a five-member investigation team led by Assistant Director of Agriculture Ravi Amravanshi. The team included District Marketing Officer Hirendra Singh, District Manager of the Warehousing Corporation S.R. Nimoda, Junior Supply Officer Kundan Singh Rajput, and Junior Supply Officer Ms. Abha Sharma. The investigation revealed that despite receiving 3,162 quintals of chickpeas from 110 farmers at the minimum support price, Hal Agri Farmer Producer Company did not return the substandard produce. Priyanka Pathariya, the then-manager of the Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation’s Bhedaghat branch, had instructed the company to return the non-FPO chickpeas, which had been stored at Mayank Warehouse No. 3 in village Badaiyakhera, Charghawan. On the first day of the investigation, when summoned, director Narendra Singh Tomar did not attend but instead sent a representative, Dushyant Tripathi. Tomar finally appeared on October 25, but he failed to present any purchase or return registers related to the chickpeas. Instead, he provided the investigation team with 43 printed receipts for chickpea returns, which were handwritten with the names, villages, and quantities of the chickpeas acquired, but did not include farmers’ mobile numbers. The team deemed these receipts suspicious and unreliable. Upon physical verification of Mayank Warehouse No. 3, the investigation team found no chickpeas stored there, despite the claims. The investigation revealed that Hal Agri Farmer Producer Company was guilty of misappropriating the chickpeas worth ₹1,68,69,270, failing to return them to the farmers, and committing fraud for unjust enrichment. As a result, an FIR was registered late on Friday night at Charghawan police station against the director of Hal Agri Farmer Producer Company Limited. The FIR was filed by Assistant Director of Agriculture Ravi Amravanshi on behalf of the investigation team. Vidisha, Gwalior Became Hot Seats Of Elections.
MP Lok Sabha Election 2024: Madhya Pradesh. Voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections is on May 7. Before this, BJP and Congress have put in their full strength. To win, all methods - price, punishment, discrimination - are being adopted. Voting is taking place on 9 seats of Madhya Pradesh in the third phase. The contest on 9 out of 9 seats will be worth watching. There are many seats which have been held by the BJP for years. There are some seats where the Congress side is strong. Voters will register their final decision in EVMs on May 7. Before this, let us know the condition of 9 seats of Madhya Pradesh and which candidate is contesting from which seat.
Betul Lok Sabha Seat
BJP's victory on this seat has continued since 1996. BJP has given another chance to Durgadas Uike. Congress has fielded Ramu Tekam against him. Both the candidates were face to face in the 2019 elections also. Durga Das Uike had defeated Ramu Tekam by a margin of about 4 lakh votes. The last time the Congress candidate won this seat was in 1991. After this, BJP's Vijay Khandelwal, Hemant Khandelwal and Jyoti Dhurve became MPs from this seat. Durgadas Uike was victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Voting on this seat was in the second phase but after the death of the BSP candidate, voting is being held in the third phase. This seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes. In 2019, there were more than 17 lakh voters in this seat. There are 8 assembly constituencies under this seat. In the last assembly elections, 6 of these were won by BJP and 2 by Congress.
Morena Lok Sabha Seat - Rajneeti Samachar
From Morena Lok Sabha seat, BJP has fielded Shivmangal Singh Tomar and Congress has fielded Satyapal Singh Sikarwar (Neetu). Narendra Singh Tomar had won from this seat in 2019. He is currently the speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Shivmangal Singh Tomar is said to be close to Narendra Singh Tomar. Whereas Satyapal Singh Sikarwar of Congress has been a former leader of BJP. He was expelled due to anti-party activity. BJP's lotus has been blooming on this seat since 1996. The last time Congress's Barelal Jatav had won from this seat was in 1991. This time the contest between Shivmangal Singh Tomar and Satyapal Singh Sikarwar will be worth watching. There are 8 assembly constituencies within this seat. Of these, in the last assembly elections, 5 were won by Congress and 3 by BJP.
Bhind Lok Sabha Seat
This time Congress has made Phool Singh Baraiya its candidate from Bhind. Whereas BJP has fielded Sandhya Rai. This seat is considered a stronghold of BJP. The last time Congress won here was in 1984. BJP candidates have been winning this seat since 1996. Sandhya Rai had also won the 2019 elections from this seat. He then got 54.93 percent votes. Before him, Congress has given Bhander MLA Phool Singh Baraiya a chance to contest the elections. There are 8 assembly constituencies in Bhind. In the last assembly elections, 4 seats were won by Congress and 4 by BJP.
Gwalior Lok Sabha Seat
In Gwalior, there is a contest between Bharat Singh Kushwaha of BJP and Praveen Pathak of Congress. Congress had last won this seat in 2004. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Narendra Singh Tomar have been MPs from this seat. In 2019, Vivek Shejwalkar was elected MP from here. Bharat Singh Kushwaha is a veteran leader of BJP and Congress has fielded Praveen Pathak against him. Praveen Pathak had contested the last assembly elections from Gwalior Rural and lost by a very less number of votes. There are 8 assembly constituencies in Gwalior seat. Of these, 4 seats are with BJP and 4 with Congress.
Guna Lok Sabha Seat: Indian Politics News In Hindi
BJP has fielded Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia as its candidate for Guna Lok Sabha seat, which is the seat of the Scindia family. Scindia is contesting elections for the first time on BJP ticket. This seat was won for the first time in 1952 by VG Deshpande of Hindu Mahasabha. After this, Congress won this seat for some years. In 1967, Vijaya Raje Scindia stood as an independent candidate from this seat and also won. After this, Madhavrao Scindia won this seat once on BJP, once on Independent and once on Congress ticket. After this, Vijaya Raje Scindia remained MP from this seat for four consecutive terms. After him Madhavrao Scindia and Jyotiraditya Scindia won on Congress ticket.
Congress has made Yadvendra Singh Yadav its candidate. Yadvendra Singh Yadav left BJP and joined Congress. The reason for Yadvendra Singh Yadav leaving BJP was Jyotiraditya Scindia's entry in BJP. Yadvendra Singh Yadav's father had contested the 2002 by-election against Jyotiraditya Scindia on BJP ticket. In this way, after 22 years, his son will contest elections against Scindia on Congress ticket. There are 8 assembly seats in Guna, out of which 6 are with BJP and 2 with Congress.
Sagar Lok Sabha Seat
This time BJP's Lata Wankhede and Congress's Chandra Bhushan Singh Bundela alias Guddu Raja Bundela are face to face from Sagar Lok Sabha seat. This seat is with BJP since 1996. Virendra Khatik has been MP from this seat 4 times. The 2019 Lok Sabha election was won by Rajbahadur Singh of BJP. This time BJP has fielded a woman candidate in her place. Before the assembly elections, Guddu Raja Bundela had left BSP and joined Congress. He has considerable influence in the politics of Bundelkhand. There are 8 assembly seats in Sagar, out of which the BJP has won all of them, only one seat went to the Congress.
Vidisha Lok Sabha Seat
Vidisha is the hottest seat in this Lok Sabha elections. From here, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is contesting again after 20 years. This seat is the stronghold of BJP. Congress has won from here only twice. First time in 1980 and second time in 1984. Veteran leaders like former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Sushma Swaraj have been MPs from Vidisha. Shivraj Singh Chauhan contested the 1991 by-election for the first time. After that he kept winning continuously till 2004. BJP has once again fielded him in 2024. In front of him, Congress has made Pratap Bhanu Sharma its candidate. BJP has been winning every election from here with record votes. There are 8 seats in Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency. Of these, except Silwani, BJP had won all of them.
Bhopal Lok Sabha Seat
Congress has never seen victory on Bhopal Lok Sabha seat since 1984. BJP has been winning here since 1989. It is not wrong to call it the stronghold of BJP. This time the contest is between Alok Sharma of BJP and Arun Srivastava of Congress. Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has been an MP from this seat. BJP had changed candidates in both 2014 and 2019 elections. In 2019, the contest was between Digvijay Singh and Sadhvi Pragya. Pragya got 61.54 percent votes and Digvijay Singh got 35.63 percent votes. There are 8 assembly constituencies in this seat. Of these, 6 are with BJP and two (Bhopal North, Bhopal Central) are with Congress.
Rajgarh Lok Sabha Seat
The contest on this seat will be worth watching in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections. After tasting defeat from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat in 2019, Congress has fielded Digvijay Singh from Rajgarh this time. Congress and BJP keep coming and going on this seat. Mostly Congress has won this seat. BJP has made Rodmal Nagar its candidate. The 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections were won by Rodmal Nagar. This time also the party has expressed confidence in him. There are 8 assembly constituencies under this seat. In the 2023 assembly elections, Congress could win only 2 seats, 6 went to BJP.

2024 On Mind, BJP Brainstorms Over Chief Minister Choices For 3 States
The BJP will choose its Chief Ministers for three heartland states — Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh — with an eye on the 2024 Lok Sabha election, party sources have said, adding that new faces may be chosen in all three states.
The BJP won the Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, results of which were declared on Sunday. The party’s central leadership has been holding discussions on the Chief Minister probables in the three states.
Tumblr media
A four-and-a-half hour meeting was held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence yesterday, during which the frontrunners in the three states were considered. The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda.
This marathon meeting followed a series of meetings held by Mr Shah and Mr Nadda with the BJP’s in-charges of these states to gather feedback about state leaders.
The BJP’s central leadership is likely to appoint observers for the three states soon. These observers will oversee meetings of newly elected MLAs in the three states to elect their leaders in the Assembly.
In Madhya Pradesh, incumbent Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a contender for the top post, along with Union ministers Prahlad Patel, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Narendra Singh Tomar, and senior state leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Several names are doing the rounds for the Rajasthan top post too. While former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been elected as an MLA, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Arjun Ram Meghwal, state party president C P Joshi, and prominent leaders Diya Kumari and Mahant Balaknath are being seen as probables.
Former Chief Minister Raman Singh is among the contenders in Chhattisgarh. State BJP president Arun Kumar Sao, leader of opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and former IAS officer O P Chaudhary are also being seen as contenders for the Chief Minister post.
It must, however, be kept in mind that the BJP leadership is known to spring a surprise with its choices.

A Milestone Event for Gender-Inclusive Agriculture
In a significant step towards promoting gender equality and resilience in agricultural practices, President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the international research conference titled "From research to impact: Towards just and resilient agri-food systems" on October 9, 2023, at the NASC Complex in Pusa, New Delhi. This four-day conference is jointly hosted by the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The collaboration between these two institutions aims to harness national and international research to empower women to assume leadership roles and drive the transformation of agriculture and food systems on a global scale.   Notable Speakers on Gender-Inclusive Agriculture Among the distinguished speakers at the conference are Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, India's G20 Sherpa Shri Amitabh Kant, and CGIAR interim Executive Managing Director Professor Andrew Campbell.
Fostering Women-Led Development
Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), highlighted the conference's significance in the wake of the recent G20 Summit, which resoundingly endorsed women-led development. Dr. Pathak emphasized the importance of recognizing and promoting leadership and decision-making roles for women concerning climate change, food security, and nutrition.
Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice
Dr. Nicoline de Haan, Director of the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform, emphasized that the conference is designed to facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge knowledge and bridge the gap between research and practice. Its overarching goal is to cultivate gender-equal and socially inclusive, resilient food systems. Dr. de Haan stated that gender inequality in agri-food systems remains a significant global challenge, further exacerbated by crises like COVID-19 and climate change.   Tackling Gender Inequality in Agriculture Women frequently experience greater food insecurity and suffer more severe impacts from external shocks like floods and droughts. The conference aims to combine research, evidence, and practical insights to guide policymakers and investors toward solutions that promote global gender equality and women's empowerment.
A Global Network of Researchers Unites
The CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research are collaboratively assembling a global network of gender researchers, and they are actively bringing them together with other experts, practitioners, and policymakers. Together, their shared mission revolves around evaluating the current landscape of agricultural gender research and formulating innovative solutions to foster more equitable, just, and resilient agri-food systems.   A Diverse Program The event is set to feature an extensive program, including over 140 oral presentations, 85 posters, 25 high-level plenary and keynote speakers, and 60 parallel sessions. In addition, both international exhibitors and Indian women entrepreneurs will be present to showcase their work and innovations. Furthermore, the gathering will see participation from diverse delegates, representing a wide array of research institutes, national agricultural research and extension systems, non-government organizations, civil society organizations, funding partners, policy-making bodies, as well as the private sector.
Forging a Path to Gender Equity in Agriculture
ICAR, in close collaboration with CGIAR and various research partners, persistently plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of India's 126 million smallholder farmers. As a CGIAR Impact Platform, GENDER actively seeks to broker knowledge, fostering the co-creation of agricultural solutions that benefit women and contribute to the establishment of equitable, resilient, and prosperous societies. This partnership with ICAR, recognized as one of the world's largest national agricultural research and extension systems, presents CGIAR and its research partners with an invaluable opportunity to seamlessly collaborate, connect with on-the-ground demand, and collectively strive to achieve substantial impact.
Leveraging Expertise for Positive Outcomes
ICAR, with its 113 institutes and 76 agricultural universities spread across India, will be instrumental in identifying evidence-based priorities and innovations to translate G20 commitments on women's leadership in climate action, food security, and nutrition into tangible benefits for women and men farmers, as well as entire communities. CGIAR will contribute to this process by providing world-class expertise, evidence, and proven solutions.   Sources: THX News & Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Read the full article
