Clear Kayaks Coastal Tours in Naples
Naples, Florida, offers an incredible coastal landscape that beckons adventurers from across the globe. Its crystal-clear waters, thriving marine life, and vibrant mangroves make it an ideal destination for kayaking enthusiasts. Recently, clear kayak tours have become one of the most exciting ways to explore this beautiful environment, giving you a window into the underwater world as you paddle along. With clear kayak rentals from local providers like Mike’s Coastal Expeditions, you can immerse yourself in this unique experience.
Why Choose Clear Kayak Tours?
Clear kayak tours offer a distinct advantage over traditional kayaking. The transparent design of the kayak allows you to see everything beneath the surface, creating a magical connection with the water and marine life. As you glide through Naples’ serene waters, you can spot fish, sea turtles, manatees, and even dolphins swimming directly below you. The clear kayaks are made from durable polycarbonate materials, ensuring both visibility and safety as you navigate the waters.
This immersive experience is perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to explore the ocean in a new and exciting way. It also offers a unique opportunity for photographers, as the clear kayak acts as both a vehicle and a lens, allowing for stunning underwater shots without the need for a snorkel or diving gear.
Explore Naples’ Coastal Beauty
Naples is renowned for its diverse waterways, and clear kayak tours offer the perfect way to explore them. Here are some must-visit destinations where clear kayaks offer the best views:
Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve: This protected reserve is home to a thriving ecosystem of mangroves, fish, and birds. Paddling through the calm waters in a clear kayak gives you a unique perspective of the interconnectedness of these habitats. You can witness schools of fish weaving through the mangrove roots, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a manatee gliding beneath your kayak.
Clam Pass Park: Known for its scenic beauty, Clam Pass Park offers a mixture of beach, bay, and mangrove environments. The gentle waters and rich marine life make this an ideal location for clear kayak tours. The transparent kayaks allow you to see the gentle ripples of fish just below the surface, adding an extra layer of wonder to your paddle.
Gordon River: For those looking for a more relaxed experience, the Gordon River offers peaceful paddling with the added benefit of spotting a variety of wildlife. The river’s calm flow is perfect for clear kayaks, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely tour while observing the aquatic life below.
Estero Bay: Located just north of Naples, Estero Bay is a vibrant body of water where you can paddle through mangroves, estuaries, and coastal areas. Clear kayak rentals here allow you to explore one of Florida's first aquatic preserves, where dolphins and manatees are frequent visitors.
Mike’s Coastal Expeditions: Your Gateway to Clear Kayak Adventures

Whether you're navigating the peaceful mangrove tunnels or exploring the open waters, their staff ensures a safe and enjoyable experience.
Their clear kayak rentals also come equipped with all the necessary safety gear, including life jackets and paddles, so you can focus on the adventure ahead. Additionally, their transparent kayaks are regularly inspected to ensure they provide optimal visibility and comfort during your trip.
Tips for a Perfect Clear Kayak Tour
Here are a few tips to ensure you make the most of your clear kayak adventure:
Book in Advance: Clear kayak tours are increasingly popular, so booking your rental or tour with Mike’s Coastal Expeditions ahead of time ensures you get the dates and times you want.
Time Your Paddle: Early morning or late afternoon tours often offer the best visibility. The water is typically calmer during these times, and you’re more likely to see marine life.
Bring a Camera: The transparent kayak offers unparalleled photo opportunities, so don’t forget to bring a waterproof camera or phone in a protective case to capture the beauty beneath the surface.
Stay Hydrated and Protected: The Florida sun can be intense, so make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and consider wearing a hat and sunglasses for added protection.
Conclusion
Exploring the coastal beauty of Naples through clear kayak tours provides a unique and mesmerizing experience that connects you with the water like never before. With clear kayak rentals and tours offered by Mike’s Coastal Expeditions, you can discover Naples’ stunning underwater world while enjoying the serene, natural environment that Southwest Florida is known for. Week 4: Snorkeling and Venezia
Ciao again!
This past week featured a fun field trip for Intro to Marine Bio and my first big week adventure! For the first field trip, we explored different habitats in Ieranto Bay, a marine conservation area only accessible through kayaking or by hiking down. We took the hiking route, taking in the picturesque landscape as we went.
Around 45 minutes later we got down to the bay and split into three groups to rotate through the day’s activities. My group had free time first; I spent the hour at the beach, swimming and enjoying the lovely clear water. Kayaking came next. Although we couldn’t cross the entire bay due to strong winds, we kayaked to another section, going in and out of a few caves and observing different marine habitats. I loved exploring the caves, especially one where it was so low you had to use your hands instead of the paddle to navigate! Lastly, our professor guided us in snorkeling, pointing out several key organisms and marine structures we had discussed in class. This might’ve been my favorite part as I loved diving down to look at everything up close (I even swam through an underwater tunnel lined with bright orange corals!)
(views of the bay during the hike down)
(four of us representing UMich in Ieranto Bay with the water and cliff in the background)
Over the weekend, I visited Venice and a few of the surrounding islands with some friends. I can honestly say it was the most unique place I’ve been so far. Wandering around and getting lost was so fun as there was something neat around every corner. We stayed the night in Naples Friday as we had a very early train Saturday morning (yay 4 am wake up). The train ride went smoothly and 5 hours later we emerged in The Floating City.
(Pictures of the colorful Venetian houses lining the edges of canals)
We took in the sights and wandered around for the afternoon before getting dinner (the pasta was delicious) and gelato (also delicious). Sunday morning, a few of us got up bright and early to see St. Mark’s basilica before the rush (slept in until 5am this time). My jaw was practically on the floor from admiring the intricate ceiling mosaics and it was worth every second of sacrificed sleep. Even today, creating artwork like it would be an impressive feat, let alone in the 11th century when the Church was constructed.
(Part of the outside of St. Mark's Basilica featuring ornate mosaics and paintings)
After some morning sightseeing, we booked a boat tour for 20 euros each to take us to Murano and Burano, two smaller islands known for their glass and lace making, respectively. Our stop in Murano also included a live glass blowing demonstration! I am now the proud owner of a hand-made Venetian glass bead bracelet and an adorable glass snail (name is still pending). Burano was very quaint with canals lined with vibrant houses and filled with cafes and small shops highlighting their handmade lace.
(First picture of a glass blowing presentation on Murano, the other two pictures of the canals of Burano. Yes, the tower in the third pic is leaning, it's not a crooked picture!)
Once back on the main island, we did a little shopping, ate some more yummy pasta, and took in the sights again before heading back to the main bus station to board our overnight bus, beginning our trek back to Sorrento. I lucked out and had both seats to myself on the bus, allowing me to get some much needed shut eye as I had my physics midterm that same morning!
I am already missing the charming streets and enchanting canals of Venice, but I have an exciting week and another weekend adventure ahead to keep me busy!
Arrivederci,

Summer vacation ideas while there's still time: Here are 6 smart spots to consider
There’s still plenty of time this summer to make topnotch travel getaway plans. Sure, a road trip to the mountains or a week at the beach is ideal for a well-deserved summer vacation — but if you’re looking for some suggestions that are an airplane away, read on. Fox News Digital spoke to several travel experts to find out how to pursue your wanderlust, whether it’s a solo trip, a couple’s escape, a friends’ getaway or a special family vacation.INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS YOU CAN TRAVEL TO THIS SUMMER FOR THE ULTIMATE VACATIONCheck out these six intriguing options, each with plenty to offer.Whether you want to explore your (or a friend’s or family member’s) Irish heritage, play golf or immerse yourself in the food and drink scene, the Emerald Isle is a place to consider. It offers a unique blend of bustling cities such as Dublin and Belfast, charming coastal cities like Cork and Galway, and rolling countryside towns throughout the spectacular island. Getting there is a cinch, as there are direct flights from Midwest and East Coast airports — making it easy for the young and the young at heart. TRAVELING TO PARIS? 6 THINGS TO DO ASIDE FROM WATCHING THE OLYMPICS While in Ireland, be sure to visit the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, which offers a “brewery experience” while sharing tales of “Ireland’s famous beer” with tastings and a rooftop bar, according to its website; and consider a visit to the whiskey distilleries of Jameson, Teeling and Pearse Lyons. Afterward, consider the centrally located Grafton Hotel for a peaceful night’s rest. The summer months are considered the best time to travel to Ireland, according to Intrepid Travel, an agency based in Canada. While you might enjoy nice weather, summer is also peak season — so you can expect crowds at popular destinations. WORLD TRAVELERS GAVE UP EVERYTHING TO SEE 92 COUNTRIES AND COUNTING: ‘WHY NOT?’If you want to avoid the crowds, look into traveling during the “shoulder” season in autumn, according to Tourism Ireland.Another destination to consider as a summer escape is Catalina Island, which is about 50 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. It’s roughly an hour’s ferry ride. Offering something for almost every type of traveler, the versatile destination has fine dining and luxury hotels. Visitors can also camp within the island’s wild terrain.Other highlights are water activities like swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or paddleboarding.ARE YOU PLANNING A TRIP TO CALIFORNIA? HERE’S A GUIDE TO ATTRACTIONS TO ADD TO YOUR VISITWhile on land, consider touring the Wrigley Memorial and Botanic Gardens, plus savor the natural beauty of more than 100 hiking trails on the island. “Catalina Island provides a Mediterranean-style escape closer to the West Coast and is a good alternative to Capri, Italy,” said Christie Hudson, travel expert at Expedia in Seattle. “Both destinations offer breathtaking coastal views, clear waters ideal for snorkeling and a relaxed island atmosphere.”Yet the price difference is huge. FROM FLORIDA TO CALIFORNIA: THE MOST POPULAR VACATIONS IN AMERICA TO BOOK RIGHT NOWA flight from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles is $310 compared to a flight from Austin to Naples, Italy — which averages $1,870, said Hudson. If you dream of a splurge-worthy dream trip to Italy but don’t want to face the crowds this summer — consider an alternate Italian trip. Zicasso CEO Brian Tan, based in Mountain View, California, said that while Italy remains a high-demand destination for Zicasso travelers, the travel company is seeing a rise in slightly lesser-known regions, such as the Dolomites in northern Italy. DOG MOM SPENDS $900 TAKING HER PUP ON MONTH-LONG EUROPEAN VACATION ACROSS ITALY: ‘GREAT COMPANION’”It’s off-the-beaten path from the usual Rome/Florence/Venice crowds, has cooler temperatures, amazing mountain vistas, lush valleys, memorable drives, and charming towns, including Cortina D’Ampezzo, host of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games,” said Tan. Furthermore, a region like the Dolomites can be paired easily with traditionally popular major gateway cities like Rome, he said. Copenhagen is likely the most visited city in Denmark. This Scandinavian country offers endless opportunities for culture, history and foodie experiences, plus coastal benefits. “Denmark is a surprisingly good place for a beach holiday in peak summer, with over 4,500 miles of coastline and uncrowded, white, sandy beaches,” said Daniel Burnham, senior flight expert with Going.com. “Within the past 10 days we’ve seen nonstop fares to Copenhagen from $375 nonstop out of Boston, New York, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles for travel from July-November 2024,” he also said. TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY? IT COULD BE ILLEGAL TO BRING ALONG THESE MEDICATIONS, ACCORDING TO A PHARMACISTIn addition, a Denmark trip can be a launching point for seeing other European countries,c such as Finland, Norway, Sweden or the United Kingdom. If you’re a Caribbean enthusiast but don’t want the same “been there, done that” island experience, it might be time to consider Saint Vincent — where the “Pirates of the Caribbean” was filmed. “There’s a new Sandals there now, and it’s a sweet property,” said Kelley Connor, a travel adviser with AAA Club Alliance in Marlton, New Jersey. For more Lifestyle articles, visit www.foxnews.com/lifestyle”It’s the first all-inclusive [offering] on the island, located on 50 lush acres with a beautiful beach and surrounded by mountains and rainforest.”Saint Vincent is south of St. Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean. “Right now, it’s pure and undisturbed, providing a relaxing vacation that offers the best of all beach vacations without the hordes of tourists,” Connor said. “The rainforest is filled with tropical birds and cascading waterfalls, and the snorkeling and scuba diving is sublime, due to the exotic beauty beneath the quiet turquoise waters.”Gulf Shores, Alabama is gaining popularity among travelers who are seeking a blend of pristine beaches, outdoor activities and southern hospitality, according to Booking.com information shared with Fox News Digital. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTERIt’s a quintessential beach escape — with 32 miles of white, sandy beaches perfect for swimming, sunbathing and water sports. Florida's Coastal Charms: 5 Must-See Beautiful Destinations
With its endless stretches of sun-kissed beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant culture, Florida has long been a sought-after destination for travelers seeking coastal beauty and relaxation. The Sunshine State offers a diverse array of coastal destinations, each with its own unique charm and allure. From the tranquil shores of the Gulf Coast to the lively Atlantic Ocean coastline, Florida has something for every beach lover. Whether you're interested in history, wildlife, or simply enjoying the sun, there are plenty of beautiful places to visit in Florida that promise an unforgettable experience. In this article, we will explore five must-see beautiful coastal destinations in Florida, inviting you to embark on a journey of sun, sand, and serenity.
Naples: Paradise on the Gulf Coast
Located on the southwestern coast of Florida, Naples is often referred to as the "Crown Jewel" of the Gulf Coast, and for good reason. This sophisticated and upscale destination boasts miles of pristine white sandy beaches that stretch along the Gulf of Mexico. The clear turquoise waters invite visitors to take a dip, swim, or simply bask in the warmth of the Florida sun.
One of the highlights of Naples is the Naples Pier, a historic landmark that extends 1,000 feet into the Gulf. It's a popular spot for fishing, sightseeing, or catching a breathtaking sunset. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky ignites with hues of orange, pink, and purple, creating a picture-perfect moment you won't soon forget.
In addition to its natural beauty, Naples offers a thriving arts scene, upscale shopping, and gourmet dining. Explore the Naples Botanical Garden, where lush tropical plants and colorful blooms transport you to a botanical wonderland. For art enthusiasts, the Artis—Naples cultural complex features a museum, performing arts center, and stunning sculptures throughout the grounds.
Key West: A Tropical Paradise
Key West, the southernmost point of the continental United States, is a tropical paradise known for its vibrant culture, historical significance, and laid-back atmosphere. This island gem is connected to the mainland by the iconic Overseas Highway, a scenic drive that takes you through the Florida Keys.
One of the must-visit attractions in Key West is Duval Street, a lively thoroughfare lined with bars, restaurants, shops, and galleries. As you stroll down Duval Street, you'll encounter street performers, live music, and the famous Sloppy Joe's Bar, where you can savor a refreshing Key Lime Pie Martini. Visit https://whatshappeningfla.com/
Key West also boasts an abundance of water activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. Take a boat tour to explore the colorful coral reefs and marine life in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island. For history enthusiasts, the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum offers a glimpse into the life of the famous author, complete with the company of six-toed cats.
Sanibel Island: A Shelling Paradise
If you're a beachcomber at heart, Sanibel Island is the place to be. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, this barrier island is renowned for its pristine beaches and an abundance of seashells. Collecting shells along the shoreline is a cherished pastime here, and you'll find an astonishing variety of shells in all shapes and sizes.
One of the best spots for shelling is the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, where you can explore miles of unspoiled coastline and encounter diverse bird species and other wildlife. The refuge also offers kayaking and hiking opportunities, making it a nature lover's paradise.
Sanibel Island is known for its commitment to preserving the environment, and many of its accommodations are eco-friendly. The island's laid-back atmosphere, charming cottages, and locally-owned restaurants create a serene and idyllic getaway for those seeking tranquility amidst nature's beauty.
Miami Beach: The Art Deco Gem
For those seeking a more cosmopolitan coastal experience, Miami Beach is an urban oasis that blends beachfront luxury with vibrant nightlife and cultural richness. This world-famous destination is located on a barrier island just across Biscayne Bay from the city of Miami.
Miami Beach's Art Deco Historic District is a must-see attraction. The district boasts over 800 beautifully preserved Art Deco buildings, many of which house boutique hotels, restaurants, and bars. Take a stroll along Ocean Drive, where neon lights and pastel-colored facades transport you to the glamour of the 1930s.
Of course, Miami Beach is also famous for its sandy shores. South Beach, in particular, is known for its lively atmosphere, with beachgoers enjoying the sun, swimming, and beach volleyball. The Miami Beach Boardwalk offers a scenic path for walking, running, or biking along the coastline.
Beyond the beach, Miami Beach is a cultural hub with a thriving arts scene. The Bass Museum of Art and the New World Symphony provide opportunities for artistic enrichment, while Lincoln Road Mall offers high-end shopping and dining options.
St. Augustine: Historic Coastal Beauty
Tucked away on the northeastern coast of Florida, St. Augustine holds the distinction of being the oldest city in the United States. Founded by Spanish explorers in 1565, it exudes a captivating blend of history and coastal beauty.
One of the most iconic landmarks in St. Augustine is the Castillo de San Marcos, a 17th-century Spanish fort constructed from coquina, a local limestone. Visitors can explore the fort's ramparts, dungeons, and historic exhibits while enjoying panoramic views of Matanzas Bay.
St. Augustine's historic district is a charming area filled with cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and quaint shops. Stroll along St. George Street to experience its unique charm, and don't forget to visit the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, where legend has it that Ponce de León searched for the elusive fountain.
The beaches of St. Augustine offer a more relaxed and serene coastal experience compared to some of Florida's more bustling destinations. Anastasia State Park is a local favorite, with its pristine shoreline, sand dunes, and opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and fishing.
In Conclusion
Florida's coastal charms are as diverse as they are beautiful. From the sophistication of Naples to the tropical allure of Key West, the shell-strewn shores of Sanibel Island to the Art Deco elegance of Miami Beach, and the historic beauty of St. Augustine, the Sunshine State offers something for every type of traveler. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, culture, or history, Florida's coastal destinations invite you to explore and experience their unique beauty. So, pack your sunscreen and flip-flops, and embark on a journey to discover the coastal treasures of Florida.

Proven Shelling Tips That Work!
Many people enjoy shelling at the beach as a favorite pastime. Shelling doesn't usually take long or require much practice. Several helpful tips can help you make your camping trips more fruitful and enjoyable.
Even seasoned veterans should consider these shelling guidelines, regardless of their experience level.
Here are some proven Sea Shelling Naples strategies to help you have an enjoyable and successful shelling trip.
● Pick a Reliable Shelling Location
Shelling is one of the most important considerations you'll have to make. No matter where you go, the quality and quantity of shells you collect will be significantly influenced by your choice of location. There are also a variety of shells that can be found around the world. To be clear, it's not enough to know that shelling is a good idea; you need to know precisely how to go about it. After all, where are the best places to go clamming?
The quality of a beach's shelling depends on various factors, including its location, the form of the island, and the direction of the ocean current.
● Avoid the Sun's Radiation.
It is essential not only to look for the best shells, but also to take care of yourself.
The most crucial approach to protecting yourself from the sun is to wear suitable clothing, which can be accomplished in various ways. If you're being particularly cautious, a long-sleeved t-shirt and shorts or long pants are the best options here.
Pick the Right Moment to Act
If you want to be as successful as possible, you'll need to know the optimal moments to the shell.
According to most people, Sea Shelling Naples is best done in the early morning, low tide, and night. There are more shells on the beach in the early morning, and the high visibility of that time of day makes it simpler to find them. The ability to stay out of the sun is also an advantage if you're looking for plenty of shells and want to spend a long time on the beach. Low tide means you have a wider variety of shells to pick from.
● You can take a Shelling Tour.
A shelling tour is an excellent introduction to the sport for those who have never done it before. You don't have to do them all by yourself; you can do them with a few close friends or family members if you'd prefer. There are many ways to learn about Sea Shelling Naples, and this one, in particular, is magnificent. You may also discover valuable information to aid you in your shelling endeavors. If you're serious about testing out real money, it's something to keep in mind.

Wednesday, October 6 -Lipari
Today we are in the middle of the Aeolian Islands, just off the north coast of Sicily. Our original plan had been to hike up to the second crater on the island Vulcano, just to the south of the island of Lipari, but it was cancelled, so we took a tour of "Lipari Island with Pizza Making Demonstration" instead and it turned out wonderfully.
Although it had rained again overnight and during the early morning, but by the time we got to shore from our tender it was clearing. We had a small group and a small bus, which allowed us to stop frequently to get out and enjoy panoramic views. There are seven Aeolian Islands, and they are all volcanic. Currently only Stromboli and Vulcano are active, with the latter mostly venting steam and sulfur, while the former spouts molten lava from the top most days and nights. The others haven't done much since about 11 AD, so the locals aren't worried but I don't know if I would trust it. The pan photo shows all seven islands, but the resolution and the haze make it hard to see the westernmost island and Stromboli, the eastern and northernmost.
After we had gone about three-quarters of the way around the island, we stopped at our restaurant. The chef first made pizza dough by hand, and then showed us the finished product made the day before. According to him, after the dough is mixed and kneaded, it should sit at room temperature for about 2 hours, then be refrigerated overnight and then brought back to room temperature by sitting out for a couple of hours before using. Of course he did the tossing thing to get the pizza round - I don't think my ceiling at home is high enough! He quickly made up a pizza, and baked it for about 5 minutes in their wood-fired oven, and we each got a taste
In a normal non- Covid world we each could have made our own, but instead we simply instructed the chef what to put on our pizza. Since they had us go up in groups of 4, we assumed we would need to come to an agreement on what to have on our pizza, as we would be sharing. But instead we each had an entire pizza to ourselves, and they weren't small. I made mine Napoli style, with anchovies. Back at our table we also had bread and olives and a lot of jugs of white and red wine. It was a very unhurried lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We finished off our tour by coming back to the main town after another photo stop, and Russ and I went rogue for a moment and got a hand-crafted magnet in a little art store close to the port. Other folks were so slow to get back to the tender that it gave us a bit of time. Pretty soon we will be out of the "bubble" and able to wander freely. I think the local merchants are suffering a bit from the cruise ship regulations, but since this is not a stop for most lines, this island is less affected and relies on more regular tourism.
As a matter of fact, we found the island quite fun, since there's a local bus and it's easy to take a ferry or a tour to the other islands, or kayak around, and we would seriously consider coming back here for a week at some time, probably in early spring. The main access is by a short ferry from Milazzo on the north Sicilian coast, but there are also ferries from Palermo, and in high season, even from Naples. It seems more to cater to outdoor activities and less to luxury shopping, like some Italian towns.
We had a little bad news as we left Lipari. It seems like the weather is not quite done with us, even if today turned out mostly nice. The forecast is for high swells, and since our next two ports were anchorages, the tender would be unsafe. So, we're off to dock in Naples for the last two nights. Disappointing not to anchor off Amalfi, but understandable. There are only 106 of us on board - they can't afford to lose one of us between the boat and the tender! They are going to have to rework a lot of the tours, though, as they were all planned from Sorrento or Amalfi. And we won't be swimming off the back of the ship in the port of Naples, either. We did get to do it today and also kayak from the ship.
Most pictures are self-explanatory, except for the shot of the Greek necropolis, there on the hillside. This little island has been inhabited for a very long time, too.

Highlights of the lower Sunshine State in a Chevy Bolt EV
The 2020 Chevy Bolt EV is the perfect vehicle to explore the great state of Florida while keeping sustainability at the forefront of your travels. (Photos by Mark Elias for Chevrolet)
At a time when the world is trending towards renewable energy and sustainability, individuals are making positive changes in their daily lives—from what car they drive to where they source their food and even where they go on vacation. Southern Florida has a great deal to offer by way of sustainability and even more in the way of fun.
Electric vehicles, simply put, are the future. The industry has experienced immense growth over the past few years, which will only continue in this new decade. The Chevrolet Bolt EV is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle and the 2020 offers fresh features that rival others on the market. With an impressive EPA-estimated 259-mile range on one battery charge, the Bolt EV is an excellent choice for road-tripping.

Naples
Start your journey in Naples, which is known for its high-end shopping, sophisticated dining options and white sand beaches. The Hyatt House Naples overlooks the Gordon River and is just a short jaunt away from the shops and restaurants of downtown Naples. Its spacious rooms and resort-like amenities provide an optimal getaway for travelers.
Range anxiety, or the fear of your car’s battery running out of juice before you reach your destination or a charging point, is a concern, especially for drivers new to electric vehicles. Luckily, Chevy has an app for that. The myChevrolet mobile app, which seamlessly connects your phone to the car’s infotainment screen, has all of the features you’d expect—ability to start and turn off the car remotely, lock and unlock doors, see diagnostic info on the car and access roadside assistance—plus Energy Assist, which helps plan your route most efficiently according to where charging stations are located. Naples has several around town for your convenience.

While in Naples, don’t miss out on the Naples Botanical Garden, the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary or the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. When you head to the beach, the large cargo storage in the back of the Bolt can hold all of your gear and then some. Catch some rays at Naples Beach, Lowdermilk Park or Clam Pass Park and feel free to wade, fish and kayak in the crystal clear waters.
Nearby, you’ll find Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. What better way to see this expansive wetland than in an electric vehicle that produces zero direct emissions? Preserving the Everglades and protecting it from air pollution pays this national treasure the respect it deserves. You’ll also be grateful the Bolt EV has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot when you’re out exploring wilds of Southern Florida.

Babcock Ranch
If you’ve ever wondered if it’s possible to run a whole city on solar power alone, the answer is yes. Located 40 minutes northeast of Fort Myers, Babcock Ranch is the first solar-powered town in the country. It has been built from the ground up with sustainability in mind every step of the way. At approximately 17,000 acres, the property is larger than Manhattan Island. About 80 percent of the land will remain undeveloped, preserved as open space, nature reserves or for agricultural use. Babcock Ranch has partnered with Florida Power & Light to implement 440 acres of solar panels just north of the main town.
The developed portion features a series of unique neighborhoods full of beautiful homes that meet or exceed Florida Green Building standards. Every home comes equipped with a charger suitable for an electric vehicle and residents are flocking there finding a community that shares their lifestyle.

The entirety of Babcock Ranch is powered by a photovoltaic solar energy field with 343,000 panels laid out over an area equaling 200 football fields.
Table & Tap has a vast menu of delicious dishes, including farm fresh deviled eggs as a shareable starter.
For a visitor to Babcock Ranch, besides popping into the model homes on display, recreation opportunities abound. First stop at Curry Creek Outfitters and rent yourself a canoe or kayak to take out onto the lake or a bicycle to explore the town or bike-friendly trails. The extensive network of walking, biking and hiking trails expand every day and will ultimately extend more than 50 miles once completed. Another way to see Lake Babcock is to take an electric boat tour offered twice every afternoon or to get out there with a fishing rod and some bait.
Founder’s Square, the downtown area of Babcock Ranch hosts musical acts in the band shell and frequent festivals, such as the upcoming Fitness Festival, pet-friendly Bark in the Park and the Babcock Ranch Art Show. Also, get your juice on at Recharge Juice Co. and sample the ice cream and sorbet flavors at Square Scoops Coffee & Creamery.
Farm-to-table dining at Table & Tap is essential for visitors to experience. A variety of microgreens, herbs, spices and vegetables are grown at the ranch and incorporated into dishes, as well as flavored honeys harvested on site. The menu has dishes to please herbivores, carnivores and everyone in between with fresh, unique takes on classics made with fine, local ingredients.
Electric vehicle charges can be found throughout Babcock Ranch. (Photo by Kimberly Dijkstra)
The parking lots downtown have multiple EV chargers for use by patrons. Like other Chevy vehicles, the Bolt EV has safety at the forefront with high-definition surround view cameras, plus it’s so quiet they implemented the new AVAS pedestrian alert system which chirps at pedestrians who may not have heard it coming.
Nearby Fort Myers has an artsy historic downtown full of galleries, quirky shops and eateries. Catch a show at the Arcade Theater, an old Vaudeville venue that now showcases productions by the Florida Repertory Theater, then treat yourself to a dainty delight at Le Macarons French Pastries. Just down the road is the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, a historic home purchased by Thomas Edison in 1885, later adjacent to Henry Ford’s winter retreat and now open to the public as a museum and botanic garden.

Miami
The vibrant city of Miami is a two-hour drive away, through the vast expanse of the Everglades down a highway called Alligator Alley (Interstate 75). Don’t count on seeing alligators cross this wide toll road—for that try the Tamiami Trail (U.S. Highway 41) and dip down one of the side roads and take a wildlife tour. Airboat tours are an option, but for an environmentally friendly excursion, take the Shark Valley Tram Tour and observe one of the most incredible ecosystems in the world up close.
Speaking from experience, the Chevy Bolt EV is an ideal car to cross the state of Florida in, due in part to its smart energy-saving features. Regen-on-Demand is triggered by a paddle on the steering wheel, which enables you to slow down without using the brake pedal, thereby converting energy into electricity that is transferred back to the battery. Similarly, using the one-pedal driving mode, slowing down and coming to a complete stop is as simple as lifting your foot off the accelerator. It sounds peculiar at best and scary at worst, but it’s actually completely intuitive and you naturally get used to it after a few minutes. This method also transfers energy back into the battery that is ordinarily lost when you brake.
At Malibu Farm’s pizza-making classes, students make dough from scratch, select toppings, and watch their creations go into the wood-fired oven. (Photo by Kimberly Dijkstra)
As you near Miami, you’ll see the hard-to-miss guitar-shaped silhouette of the Hard Rock Café grow on the horizon and soon the turquoise Atlantic Ocean will come into view. The open-air restaurant Malibu Farm Miami Beach sits right on the water offering stunning views to accompany your meal. Offering the fresh, farm-to-table flavors of Southern California, the restaurant has an international reputation for sourcing local, organic ingredients and being as sustainable as possible. Located inside Nobu Hotel, founder chef Helene Henderson has perfected a vibe of laid-back luxury.
Malibu Farm offers pizza-making classes for adults on Thursday and children on Saturdays, and private classes can be booked on weekdays. Chef de Cuisine Alex Kuzin hosted a recent class for members of the media and gave students a hand-on pizza-making experience. He explained the surprisingly long history of pizza, which dates back to ancient Mesopotamia before being perfected in Napoli, or Naples, Italy, then shared the ingredients of Malibu Farm pizza dough—kosher salt, extra virgin olive oil, yeast, agave syrup, water, high-gluten 00 and the secret ingredient: multi-grain flour made from sesame, sunflower and flax seeds which add texture and a depth of flavor.
Pizza tastes even better when you’ve made it with your own hands. (Photo by Kimberly Dijkstra)
Aspiring home pizza-makers will get a lot out of the class, besides getting their hands dirty and a tasty meal. Each step of the way, Kuzin explains the whys and hows behind each choice, such as why the wet ingredients are added to the dry ingredients and how to eliminate air pockets from your dough, so students understand how to replicate the process at home. The final result is a beautiful wood-fired pizza topped with flavorful sauce, shredded mozzarella and sliced veggies cooked to perfection.
Chasing sustainability on your next vacation is easier than ever. Travel with Long Island Weekly on a road trip through southern Florida—Naples, Babcock Ranch and Miami—in a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV. Highlights of the lower Sunshine State in a Chevy Bolt EV At a time when the world is trending towards renewable energy and sustainability, individuals are making positive changes in their daily lives—from what car they drive to where they source their food and even where they go on vacation.

Tales from my life Kayaking Memories Recollection in Naples
Kayaking in Naples, Florida shall be termed as an out of the ordinary experience. The calm waters, the views and the rich flora and fauna makes sure there is something for every paddler. During the course of my life, I have been lucky enough to kayak in this coastal paradise, always returning with beautiful experiences from each trip. I would thus, like to record some of my favourite kayaking experiences in Naples and share a few personal stories.
Rookery bay Reserve, in its beauty
Among the first things I remember is the most treasured as well, to paddle on the mangrove tunnels of Rookery Bay Reserve. It was such a quiet morning that the sun of the golden colour was already printed on the water surface. As I maneuverer within the slim passages, I almost felt as had shallow waters swirling around me like mother nature’s hands. The sound of the birds singing and the rustling of the trees was music that took me away from the normal grind of life.
By the time I reached the mid-point of my journey, a pod of dolphins was frolicking in the waters next to me. It was a once in a lifetime experience seeing these beautiful animals so close. I had to stop paddling to just appreciate the sight, thankful that such wonders of nature exist.
Big Hickory Island Sunset - Family Kayaking
One other activity I would appreciate doing is during the guided kayak tour indulging in the sunset around big hickory Island. The activity had been scheduled to commence in the afternoon, and our few numbers integrated the familia, easing along the water surface of Estero Bay. Our instructor embellished the purpose of the tour with historical events and geographical aspects of the region which was quite nice as no one got bored during the ride.
The transition of day into dusk was stunning, the horizon ablaze with brilliant orange, pink, and purple hues. They were equally miraculous even the water surfaced. It was at this point that I understood the coastal beauty of Naples. To make matters even more breathtaking, a group of pelicans flew above me in a beautiful sunset sky—a scene, I think, from a postcard.
A Day of Adventure with Clear Kayaks
One of the additions on this kayaking adventure in Naples was trying out of clear kayaks for the first time. These offered the advantage of being able to see the underwater world in vivid strokes as one paddled. I had signed up for a trip that ventured into the shallow water surrounding Keewaydin Island.
Through the clear bottom, I saw schools of brightly colored fishes, sting rays in flight, and even a swimming sea turtle. It was as if I was weightlessly hovering over the water, suspended over a whole new world of wonders. This voyage raised my respect for the fragile oceanic creatures which inhabited the waters of Naples.
Birdwatching in Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park
Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in sailboat, how helpful it is for an amateur birdwatcher. With binoculars and a waterproof camera, I headed out two hours before the sun rose to explore the local birds of the park.
As I paddled along the coast, I noticed ospreys resting on branches and herons standing in the water. The most thrilling part of the day was watching a bald eagle dive for a fish, which is not something you see every day. Such close proximity to mother nature was heavenly and so calming.
Lessons learned from Kayaking experience in Naples
Each one of these experiences was a learning opportunity for me. It was the theme and practical aspect of utilizing nature, it was the prospect of seeing things differently, it was the relaxation that one gets from simply doing nothing when inside a kayak and many more. This whole Trip of Kayaking in Naples was an upsurge and uplift of one's personality.
In case you are deciding on the next family trip – a kayaking trip in Naples – I would suggest especially getting engaged in the exploration of the land and water biospheres. There is a certain enchantment in store for you irrespective of whether this is your first attempt at paddling or your last. And who knows? Maybe your upcoming trip will turn out as exciting as some of the stories I have to share with you.
Kayaking is not only a sport. This is a sport that provides opportunities for finding oneself in nature, making unforgettable moments. Similar to that, Naples, which is characterized by its unforgettable clear water and numerous flora and fauna, is ideal for people looking for fun and inspiration, as well as those in need of a respite.

Week 7: Kayaking (gone awry), Hiking, and Pompeii
Ciao! Apologies for the late post, this past week was busy and one of the more stressful ones I’ve had (ironically, perfectly highlighting my point from last time). My solo adventure in Florence was a blast, and I would highly recommend everyone doing a solo adventure to two when traveling. While I have so much fun traveling with friends, it was freeing just being able to meander around at my own pace, stop into various shops, and go to around 10 museums (I love museums) without worrying about anyone else.
(Top left picture of a painted cathedral ceiling found in one of the many museums visited, top right is a view of the Duomo down a narrow street, bottom picture of the Florentine skyline with mountains in the background at sunset)
The hostel I stayed at was quiet, felt very safe, and was in a great location. I took the bus back to Naples as it was cheaper than the train (5 euros total!) and I didn’t mind the longer travel time on Sunday as I had my last physics midterm the next day to study for. We were a bit delayed coming back into Naples, but other than that it was a surprising, but welcome smooth trip! Monday morning I took my exam in the morning and had a slow day, working a bit on a job application for the fall and typing up some emails I had been putting off (who wants to write emails when the Mediterranean Sea is out your window??).
Tuesday started off with more of the same until I had class in the afternoon and an excursion that evening. CIS Abroad took us on a paddleboarding tour along the coast of Sorrento to a hidden beach to watch the sunset. Sounds great right? Definitely something you’d want pictures of. Fortunately, the tour guides provided us with sealable, clear bags for our phones so they wouldn’t get wet but we could still capture the moment. Unfortunately for me, my bag had a hole in it which I failed to realize until halfway through, when I went to take a pic of the town and all I got was the apple logo flashing on and off.
(Pictures from kayaking, the left one is of me kayaking, taken by a friend who didn't have a hole in her bag. The right picture is a sunset view from the cove we paddled into)
(Last picture on my phone before it went into a coma, at least is was a decent one :)
Once I got back to my apartment, I dutifully put my phone in rice and hoped for the best. The next day, I had class in the morning then hiked Mount Vesuvius with two of my friends (luckily the tickets were on their phones, not mine) in the afternoon. The hike ended up being easier than I thought and the view from the top was phenomenal. We hiked around the crater as far as we could go, as part of it is closed to everyone except geologists. It was strange knowing the volcano is overdue to erupt as the top is closed and just looks rocky, not like the dramatic videos of boiling, spewing lava. As I learned the next day in my archeology class, the closed top actually makes it much more explosive (think shaking a coke bottle with the lid on). Fun fact about me, I used to be utterly convinced I was going to be a paleontologist when I grow up and went through a hard core geology phase alongside the paleontology, so the little kid in me was ecstatic to be on a volcano and be surrounded by the volcanic rocks and minerals (yes, I can still identify more than I’d care to admit).
(My and a friend at the crater of Vesuvius)
Once I got back from the hike, I worked up the courage to try turning my phone on. Nothing happened. I tried for several hours and eventually got it to connect to my computer to put it in “recovery” mode, but still had no luck getting it to actually work, even after trying to factory reset it. After fighting it for a while and getting nowhere, I called it a night as I had 6 hours of back to back classes the next day. Friday morning I finally had time to take it into an electronics store where they took it to the back and simply told me to come back in a few hours. Without much other choice, I left it there and trusted them as, thanks to dual authentication of practically everything nowadays, I had no way of signing into any of my accounts without a phone number. If I couldn’t get it fixed, I was going to have to buy a burner phone until I could get back to the states. Thankfully the shop was able to repair it and my phone is now good to go (minus a functioning FaceID or phone speaker but I’ll gladly take the loss). I knew it would work out one way or another, but it was still very stressful not having a working phone, especially when I couldn’t even access my bank account or wolverine access without the verification code texted to me.
Relieved to have a working phone, I rushed to the train station as I had a field to get to in Pompeii! Though it was scorching hot, it was fascinating to see some of the highlights and learn some of the nuances. My Archeology professor is very knowledgeable as she used to work at one of the excavations sites in Pompeii! Walking around the city was so surreal because I had realized just how well-preserved it truly is. Reading about it and seeing pictures pales in comparison to seeing it with your own eyes. Some of the wall murals still had vivid color, intricate mosaics were still intact, and signs still hung outside of businesses. It blew my mind that everything I was seeing was over 2000 years old, yet many aspects were very similar to our cities now.
(Pictures from Pompeii, top left showing the gladiators old training center, top right showing some (original!) paintings inside a home, and the bottom picture showing Mount Vesuvius in the background with part of what's been excavated next to high ground with building still to be uncovered)
Overall, it was a decent week. Florence was captivating, I had a blast kayaking (despite my phone issues), and I got to explore both Pompeii and the volcano that destroyed the city. Time is truly racing by, but I still have a lot left to experience!
Arrivederci!

Where to vacation in Florida
Where to vacation in Florida
While Northern countries are known from a cold winter, weather in the state of Florida, in the USA, is an exception as it maintains a fair temperature all year round. During winter, lowest temperature is 10°C on average, and maximum can reach up to 22°C, approximately. That being said, this is one of the reasons 60.7 million people visited the state in the first six months of 2017. It is true not only a good weather brings travelers to this area; also, a variety of attractions are spread throughout its 65 square miles area. Just to make your life easier when deciding where to vacation in Florida, we divided the state in four areas (Central, West, South and North Florida) with main cities as destinations with additional nearby attractions, a mini guide to help you to travel through the American sunshine state.
Before we start, check it out the distance between the main cities and you will realize it is possible to add one or more places to your visit. In some of them, we have already give this possibility, but if choosing just one you will sure have plenty of things to do, as you will notice each itinerary have 4 main cities but uncountable destinations.

Orlando: Parks, Sun and Space in Central Florida
Orlando needs no introduction as it is home of the most famous theme park complex, Walt Disney World, but their parks are not the only ones available, as Orlando is also home of Universal complex and Sea World. Together, they offer 7 different parks and additional water parks options. It is almost impossible to check all parks in just one trip as most of them require two or more days to explore each. Four theme parks are part of Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom is where, literally, the magic happens. Here is the place that Disney’s characters are brought to a life and the famous magic castle is located. It is the most visited park in Orlando and where the phrase “where the dreams come true” was created. Epcot focuses on bringing the nations together, a highlight to cultural diversity is what you will see here. For movie lovers, Hollywood Studios is where movies become a reality and you become a character to enjoy it. As the name already states, Animal Kingdom brings nature to its brightest. Each one has its own characteristics and attractions, it is highly recommended to plan ahead where to go and which attractions are a must go to you. Whichever park you go, make sure to check out the Fastpass as it offers some benefits what will help you save time while having fun.
After knowing about Walt Disney World theme parks, don’t forget to check Universal complex with Universal Studios Park, where movies are also the main theme and, Island of Adventure with the Harry Potter theme as the main attraction. Sea World explains itself showing the life under the water. A good planning is essential when deciding to explore the parks, make sure to allow enough time to see the attractions and don’t visit two parks on the same day, you will not be able to do it.
Almost 50 miles away from Orlando is where you will get closer to the space. NASA have the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral and travelers can visit this working space facility discovering the US Space Program. Before you go, make sure to buy the tickets in advance and download the Kennedy Space Center Official Guide App, free at App Store and Google Play. For a break in between busy fun days, a visit to Cocoa Beach can be a great idea. Only 60 miles from Orlando and yet a different atmosphere is presented, the beach lifestyle is everywhere in Cocoa and after a day by the sun, a walk by its riverside wraps up a relaxing day.
Why Orlando? Go if you are looking for a fun vacation time among family and/or friends. Be prepared for long days in an excited environment, chances are high that you will walk a lot and wearing comfortable clothes is mandatory. Bring your better self and get ready to have one of the best times of your life.
Miami: City, Water and Nature in South Florida
Miami is a cosmopolitan city in South Florida where art deco, Latin culture and crystal-clear water beaches get along really well composing one of the highlights of this destination. South Beach is often featured in TV shows and are worth spending a day on its sands, don’t forget to snap a classic picture from lifeguards stands, so popular in Miami. Head for North Beach in case you are looking for a quieter day, or when in doubt try both and let us know which one you prefer best.
In Southern Miami is located the Art Deco Historic District, go to get a glimpse on this architectural style that makes the city so special. If you are into art, Wynwood Walls bring the colorful street art, which is nowadays often stamping Miami in advertisements. Also, famous for its nightlife and Latin culture, don’t skip a visit to a Cuban restaurant in Little Havana or a visit to any nightclub available in the city, you will not regret it.
Going a little bit North Miami, Fort Lauderdale is another beach destination in the East Coast of Florida. It gets the atmosphere of a city with a boulevard and an entertainment district, but still maintaining the beach vibe in its riverfront. It makes this city a great getaway just 30 miles from Miami. In the opposite direction, 42 miles South of Miami, another Florida expects you, nature filled with swamps and activities is what you will find in Everglades National Park located in Homestead. Here it is possible to see the wildlife of amphibians, mammals and reptiles in a different environment, but considered common animals in a swamp area. If hiking is among your favourites things to do when travelling, adding a stop in Homestead will be a great surprise.
Now it is time to take the road and discover the Florida Keys area. Only 159 miles separate Miami from Key West and, despite being a destination worth visiting, the route to Key West is breathtaking, being a trip itself. Overseas Highway is a 113 miles long road passing through Florida Keys, archipelagos in South Florida, and ending on Key West, the southernmost point in USA, and only 90 miles away from Cuba. The charming city was once called home by Ernest Hemingway and is where key lime pie was created, both are must dos while visiting the city. Allow sometime to discover the city and enjoy the beauty of this tiny place on South of Florida. On your way to Key West, don’t forget to make some stops to see the beauty of cities like Islamorada and Key Largo, where fishing and diving, respectively, are a big deal.
Why Miami? Go for Miami if beach is what you are looking for on your next vacation, but if you like the city atmosphere. It is a good destination to discover the combination of city, beaches and nature, not necessarily in this order. Adding Key West will not disappoint.
Tampa: Relax, Fun and Beaches in West Florida
Tampa is already a known destination for travelers who have researched about Orlando as Busch Gardens theme parks are an attraction people add to their trip to Disney. They are also the owners of Sea World and Aquatica in Orlando and, in Tampa they offer two more theme parks options: Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. While the first is a paradise of adventure in roller coasters, the Adventure Island is an outdoor water park. At Busch Gardens you will find adventure in its rides, but it is also possible to add more fun with its upgrades, like doing a tour in a safari. Make sure to check the dates as Adventure Island closes during cold months, opening usually from March to October. In order to save some money, a deal is offered if visiting both parks. If travelling with kids, visiting Big Cat Rescue can be a fun experience discovering more about the wildlife of big cats.
Beaches are also a big deal in this part of the state and in the West Side of Florida, water from Gulf of Mexico are waiting for you. Only 45 minutes from Tampa is Clearwater Beach and all its small beach town charm. Continuing 40 minutes down South, you will arrive in St. Petersburg which due to its location holds the title of “most consecutive days with sunshine” and, after a day at the beach it is worth visiting the interesting Salvador Dali Museum. Sarasota is the next stop after 39 miles, being home of Siesta Key, one of the top beaches in the USA, where white sands mix with clear waters. Additional activities include a stop at the Ringling complex, a famous travelling circus company founded by Ringling Brothers, during your visit make sure to ckheck the brother’s mansion called CA’D’AZAN.
It is also a good idea to drive from Tampa to Miami stopping at the destinations above, and adding at least two more options: Naples and Fort Myers. Watersports lovers will like to know that Fort Myers is a popular place for kayaking and parasailing. Naples brings the sophisticated atmosphere to this trip offering shopping in its Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South along with beach lifestyle. This road trip idea is a 430 miles route, but involves the beach attraction of the sunshine state, where the sun is the star.
Why Tampa? If looking for a place in the sun, this is the trip for you. Ideal for groups in which sun and fun are the ideal combination of a successful trip. Good destination for kids at all ages.
Jacksonville: History, City and Beach in North Florida
Compared to any popular destination in Florida, Jacksonville can be an affordable surprise. While still a big city, beaches like Neptune and Atlantic are a must stop for travellers not only for the water and sand, but also for shopping areas. For adventure with kids, Adventure Landing can be a great option for entertainment offering water and in land options. Water is a big deal for Jacksonville as it offers 20 miles of beaches, 40 miles of canals and the St. Johns River all in its area. Nature enthusiasts will like to know that the city has the largest urban park system in the USA, and here are some options to go for: Treaty Oak Park, Tree Hill and Cary State Forest. A must-do while visiting Jacksonville is walking around its Riverwalk area, where downtown meets St. John River.
Beach destinations continue in this area of Florida and two of them are worth your attention. It is true St Augustine can be a beach destination, but the most important fact about this city is that St Augustine (40 miles away from Jacksonville) is the oldest occupied European-establishment settlement in the USA. An historic aspect is encountered in this town and visiting the National Historic Landmark District will present buildings and landmarks where history was made. Daytona Beach (95 miles away from Jacksonville) is the next big deal around Jacksonville and even though a popular beach destination, Daytona International Speedway is home of the Daytona 500 NASCAR race. If interested, visit during February is when the race happens.
youtube
Two road trips from Jacksonville are interesting: Orlando and Tallahassee. Orlando is already familiar to you, but the capital of Florida, Tallahassee (165 miles west of Jacksonville), is still away from most traveler’s bucket list. A visit to this city will present the college atmosphere and history in a cosmopolitan city. Tallahassee is home of Florida State University and Florida A&M University and, it is where historical plantations farms are located. As the case of Pebble Hill and Goodwood Museum & Gardens where you will feel in a movie set, but actually will be stepping into American history.
Why Jacksonville? If it is your second time in there and you are looking for a relaxed way of spending your vacation. This is an area to discover a new Florida while still enjoying the sun in beautiful beaches.
