I used to be a NaMon shipper. My ghost ship since My Dear Loser, although Chimon was paired with Pluem back then, wishing that in the future, it would be NaMon. Perhaps it's because of their closeness that gave them undeniable chemistry, hence making them shippable. And I know that I am not the only one who thinks of it. As a fujoshi, it was also kind of frustrating seeing them together in almost every series but never actually ended up together. So, I was really dying of having them in BL series as lovers.

Nevertheless, witnessing how OhmNanon slowly breaks apart (though I don't exactly know why), I realize that perhaps it is truly better for Nanon and Chimon to remain as ghost ship.

They have such a precious friendship and bond. As far as I know, it almost seems like they grew up together. Starting from Senior Secret Love way back in 2016. Seven years have passed, and though a lot has changed, their friendship remains stronger. And right now, I couldn't ask for more.

Yes, it might be fun seeing them as lovers in a series. It will fulfill my fujoshi's heart's dream. However, there will always be a consequence to every action. The moment the ghost ship becomes real, it would be difficult to turn our heads away the moment they decide to fulfill their own dreams. I mean, their ship will always haunt them wherever they go. Their closeness will always be interpreted as something romantic, which can also burn out their good relationship. For instance, OhmNanon...

It really saddens me how awkwardly them become to each other. Ohm's issue is unacceptable. They said it's one of the reasons why they drifted apart, and I could understand it. Yet, they were part 2000 trio (Nanon, Chimon, Ohm). They could scold Ohm for the terrible things he did. As friends, they should guide him to the right way... anyway, this is an outsider's perspective, so I really don't know what happens in between them. What I only know is that they act not the same way as they used to be... And it's painful to watch.

Though I ship boys together as lovers, I value more the the friendship they will build along the way. And the hardest part as a shipper is seeing them growing apart because they no longer want to be boxed inside that ship. It's perhaps because it's too tiring to interact with one another without being interpreted romantically...

So, yeah... I'm glad that Nanon and Chimon are not paired up in a BL series. They will not be pressured to do all the fanservice and, at the same time, preserve their precious friendship.

On the other hand, I adore all the ships that, despite the tiring world of being shipped, they just brush off all the malicious issues and stay as friends. Occasionally, they can do the fanservice. But, they also know their limitations.

That's one of the reasons why I love TayNew so much. We've been through a lot. Hahahaha. There was even a time when we all thought that the ship would sink all the way to the bottom of the sea. Nevertheless, it was fixed and is now sailing again. They can bicker all the way they want, as long as they will always be friends.

...Chimon will have a new BL series with Perth. It's a surprising tandem. Both have always been good actors. I am looking forward to their series😍

Nimhnave Karls

(she/they), half-foot, mercenary

Nimh uses her sweet appearance to deceive her marks, and takes out people in the lawless dungeons. She will often rob people blind and kill them after sharing a meal with them around the fire. Finally, a guild decided to put a full hit on her, so she hid in the dungeon with a small group of outcasts. The fact that her last contract was from the Canaries to kill a deserter definitely has nothing to do with it. She’s also Namon’s de facto babysitter when his moms aren’t around.

Liy

(she/her), orc, den mother, actual mother

Liy fell in love with a Gnomish magical researcher by the name of Belia and left her tribe after falling pregnant. Liy protects Belia and their son, Namon, while living relatively comfortably in the dungeon. She is the one to accept Nimhnave and Doric into the group.

Namon

(he/him), gnome/orc, baby, adorable

Namon is Liy and Belia’s infant son. He’s half-orc and half-gnome, so they aren’t quite sure how he’ll age. Currently, he’s about a year old and can sit up on his own. He is very clever, though he doesn’t speak.

Doric the Duplicitous

(he/him), elf, illusionist, draft dodger

Doric is the son of a prestigious elven family and, as a prodigious illusionist, was selected by the Canaries. However, Doric is not an establishment man, and instead headed underground into a dungeon, confident in his magical prowess. However, a quick death to a slime and a revival by Belia the gnome set his confidence back. Since then, he’s travelled with the family.

Belia

(she/her), gnome, scholar and elementalist, mother

Belia is a Gnomish scholar researching magical microbiomes in the dungeon. She is particularly fascinated with the biology and ecology of dungeon cleaners. She fell in love with an orc guard named Liy, and they set out together into the dungeon (though she makes sure they can see the in-laws). She cannot say no to her baby boy. She uses elementals for magic, but avoids making them use their innate magic for violence, instead choosing creative workarounds. Her favorite elemental is a light elemental named Ogilvy.

So I said I’d be scrapping the pre-established characters for the fusion project, but I still wanted to draw the concept going around in my head for their new fusion, and I really liked how it turned out, and I just wanted to show it

I’m making a whole page with these two (albeit very slowly), so I didn’t need to make this a separate thing, but I’m impatient and wanted to show off this design I made this morning because I actually like how it turned out

As said in the notes, still unnamed character was only there so that you’d know who the two characters being fused look like. Though I haven’t actually worked on redesigning “unnamed” yet (god he needs a name), though that’s what I’m currently working on, so the design may be obsolete. I was just designing the fusion based on what I remembered his last design being

I think he may look too similar to unnamed, but whatevs, I kind of like how he turned out. And maybe I also think that because he looks autumn colored, and it’s October

I probably could have made the nose triangular facing down instead of up, would have worked better as a fusion methinks. Also probably could have made the ears shorter, but with the side bits I didn’t know how else to show he has them

He was also supposed to have both grey and yellow in his eyes (Sylvan has grey eyes), but the grey blended too much with the skin tone, so I just stuck with yellow. Think it helps the autumn theme though

I gave him the orange-ish hair because as I mentioned in the tags of the post where I asked what to name the unnamed smoke elf, his natural hair is actually red and wavy, his hair just looks black and oily due to severe neglect, and I wanted the fusion to reflect that. The image in my hair was strawberry blonde, but he ended up being ginger instead. Ah well, I still like it

But one thing I really liked was adding the black fade at the end of his hair. I don’t know why, I just think the fade works well

The thing around his neck is supposed to be a fusion of Sylvan’s cape and unnamed’s tied down coveralls that he’s supposed to have, though I suppose logically I don’t understand how that works into a cape. Ah well, it was just a concept, the proper outfit can be decided later once I finalize unnamed’s new design

I also gave him a beauty mark since I thought at the time that could be a way to combine Sylvan’s freckles with unnamed’s non-freckles, but I also realize I could have just given him freckles regardless. But ah well, I think another thing was not having enough room for freckles on the design

Now a few other things about the fusion design. For some reason, in my head I imagine the fusion himself to be a bit younger in appearance than either fusee, though I’m not sure why

And also, the first thing I thought of for their fusion was Sylvan’s werewolf form coming into play, and basically in their fusion, its werewolf form would be made entirely of smoke with glowing (probably yellow) eyes, and with pointier and longer ears than Sylvan. It’d also be frequently bearing a large smile and would be much faster than Sylvan, and probably more enthusiastic in fighting and less restricted. Also, it can dissipate into smoke and then reappear elsewhere. I just think the idea’s cool

But yeah, I just wanted to share this

His fellow Templars would very much like him not to investigate odd psionic disturbances by himself or breaking those psi chips alone and undoing brainwashing even if he is more than capable of it, being a former experimental Priest and all.
