Summary: it’s your first nameday as Aemonds wife and he has a surprise for you

You looked at yourself in the mirror of your dressing table, you were dressed still in your night gown, your long hair fallen into messy but wavy locks that poured over your shoulders .

But today wasn’t any normal day in your life…it was your nameday. Notably the first one you spent away from Winterfell and your family, but marriage had made the Targaryen and Hightowers your family now…you were still adjusting to it all.

You were shocked to wake up and find yourself alone in bed, Aemond not beside you , you were confused at his absence- perhaps he just went for a routine dragon ride, but on your nameday it seemed odd. As betrothed children his letters wishing you well on your nameday would always arrive on time…so he had not forgotten….or did he simply cease celebrating nameday?

But Aemond was not a simple man…as you spent more time with him you learnt more about him, the more you fell in love with him, he was so complicated.

Your fingers found their way to the wolf sigil pin that lay at the foot of the mirror. A gift your father gave you as a child, in truth you missed home but not as greatly as you first imagined. You missed your father and occasionally your brother and the winter ambiance of Winterfell.

You were interrupted by the sound of your door opening, you looked in the reflection to see Aemond standing there looking uncharacteristically nervous. You smiled “Aemond…” you said as you let the pin drop to its original place.

He smiled lightly back and approached you with his hands behind his back. Not taking your eyes off him you inhaled slowly, even in this nervous state he was still so incredibly desirable.

One of his hands rested in your shoulder, moving up to your chin- propping your head up to meet his face as he leant down and just before he kissed you he spoke softly “Happy Nameday my dear wife.”

This kiss was glorious, he knelt down and looked at you in the mirror, his sharp jawline hovering over your shoulder - his eye wide studying your expression as you sat in anticipation.

“I have something for you…” he said slowly.

“Oh?” You asked. You did not expect anything from him so you were now extremely curious.

He leant up slightly and whispered in your ear “Close your eyes..”

his hot breath against your skin made your eyes flutter shut, now at his mercy your smile was small yet wondering what on earth Aemond Targaryen was up to.

You heard Aemond fidgeting with some sort of box, within seconds you felt a cool metal chain against your chest.

He leant over and looked at you in the mirror “Open your eyes my love.” He whispered before taking a gentle nip at your ear lobe.

You opened your eyes and smiled at Aemond, before noticing the necklace he had just fastened you.

A long silver chIn lay around your neck, the pendant was a medium sized silver snowflake with a delicate sapphire edged in the middle of it. You gasped at its beauty , your hand holding the pendant to your eyes and smiled “Oh Aemond….it’s beautiful..” you turned around and saw an expression of happiness mixed with a little worry.

“You really like it?” There was a twinge of fear in his tone,

You answered his question with an adoring kiss , he wrapped his arms around you as you showered his face with kisses, carefully kissing his scar - which he secretly loved.

Your hands cradled his face “I love it Aemond…and I love you thank you.” You kissed his lips again.

You could feel the tension he had built up dissolve, unlocked by your adoring affection.

His hands remained wrapped around you as you shuffled in your seat

“I was afraid when I woke alone…” you said as your finger gently brushed his chin

Aemond inhaled sharply “I was…a little hesitant in giving you your gift…I was afraid you would not like it …”

“Oh Aemond…” you kissed the edge of his nose “It’s perfect …as you are to me.”

He did not know how to register that compliment, perfect was a word he was not use to hearing - the back of your fingers gently stroked his scar underneath the eye patch.

“I shall wear this every day. “ you said smiling .

He exhaled resting his forehead against your neck, you stroked his long lucious silver hair , kissing the side of his head- the relief he must have felt was overwhelming - unconditional love was a mystery he was slowly learning how to unwrap.

“What shall you like to do today? “ he asked bringing his head back up “Dragon ride? A day in the gardens?”

You smirked slightly and got to your feet, Aemond remained kneeling at your side.

You held out your hand “I want to spend the day with you…in our bed…wearing only this necklace.”

The grin that grew on Aemonds face made you feel incredibly weak at the knees ,his eye widened in desire as he gently took your hand and obliged in your desire. It would be a nameday you would never forget.

It's Tad's Nameday!

He got himself some /pizza!

Four years ago today, I rolled Tad Kouris, a character who was inspired from an unexpected RP session that attempted to explore Amon's origins and family.

I didn't know that Tad would become my Azem at the time, nor all the trouble he'd drag Amon into in terms of getting him into the Tower in the First! I just knew I had -that spark- from him as an OC, and that he deserved to be an alt in game!

I actually have a story in my head about him that I've never gotten around to writing. I really should one day!

But for now, he's got pizza for his Nameday! 🍕
