Nalu AU where the Eclipse Gate worked exactly the way it was supposed to.

Anna Heartfillia travelled through the portal with the dragon slayers in the year X777, meeting Layla and all her Celestial Spirits on the other side. Layla insisted Anna raised the dragon slayers on the sprawling Heartfillia property, in the woods surrounding the estate.

She would take her daughter, Lucy, with her to visit Anna and the children, bringing gifts at Christmas and birthdays, taking sweets and cakes throughout the summer months so the children could play while she sought advice from her wise ancestor.

Lucy was frightened but enamoured by these strange, powerful children; and looked forward to visiting them with her mother. Especially the little fire dragon who had more energy than the others combined, and who would smile wider than anyone when she would take little baskets of treats for them.

She was never to go alone though, the woods are dangerous, and easy to get lost in. One night though, after an argument with her father, she snuck out and ran, as far as she could, into the dark, cold winter's night. She got lost in the woods, turned about by thick rows of identical black tree trunks, and soon she couldn't even see the stars.

She sat down on the dirty, cold ground and cried and cried. Alone, lost, terrified. Until she saw a golden flicker in the night, a flame that stood out against the inpenetrable darkness, and grew closer and closer. Natsu found her, with his unwavering bubbly spirit. "Are ya lost Lucy? C'mon don't cry! I'll take you home! I knew I smelt something funny out there."

He did take her home, and their friendship grew. Soon she just had to call from her window, no matter what time, and she'd see a little flame outside in the grounds. He'd take her on adventures, show her birds' nests, fishing spots, a strange egg he found that hatched into a little flying blue cat, and hollowed out trees they could just about fit in together.

As they grew older, her wanderlust never stopped, and they'd venture out further, into towns and villages, where there was always some issue that required both his magic power and her intelligence to solve. They'd pour over Sorcerer Weeklys together, and one guild kept appearing. Fairy Tail.

After her mother died in X790, Jude drew into his work further, neglecting Lucy unless he needed her to appear in a lavish ballgown in front of esteemed business guests. She saw Natsu less and less, until one winter's night, a year later, her mother's keys around her hip, everything she cared about in a little pink backpack; she called out to him, frightened it had been so long and he wouldn't respond. Then, she saw that little glowing flame and all her worries disappeared. She asked him to run away with her, their hearts set on one place. Magnolia. Fairy Tail.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think the FT ships don't need to have the same children as their Edolas counterparts? We already saw it with Edo!Jerza having Irene, while official art shows Earthland!Jerza with a son.

Nothing wrong with the Edolas kids ofc, I just think it would be cute if the Earthland pairings had the opposite set of genders (e.g., Nalu with a son, Gruvia with a daughter) and the kids in both dimensions even got to meet or interact somehow? Their parents proudly showing them off to their counterparts, like they did themselves back in the day.

Cause I’ve been rewatching Fairy Tail and also checking out 100 Year Quest and it’s been taking me back to when I was in middle obsessing over them. Btw this is in no particular order.

1. When Lucy was taken hostage by the royal guards, the guild had to tie Natsu to a pillar to prevent him from going after her and causing chaos

2. Some dude mistaking Wendy as Natsu and Lucy’s daughter, then Natsu proceeding to ask Lucy what there kids would look like 🤣🤣

3. That entire ep where Lucy thought Natsu was going to confess his feelings to her (turns out he just needed her help to dig a hole 💀)

4. Natsu becoming E.N.D. because Lucy “died” 😭💔

5. When captured my Phantom Lord, Lucy jumped off a high building trusting/knowing that Natsu will be there to catch her (he did)

6. Virgo giving them matching celestial outfits ✨

7. Natsu stealing the town’s rainbow sakura tree and putting it in front of Lucy’s apartment so she could see it when she was stuck in bed sick 🥰

8. Lucy rewriting E.N.D. to save Natsu (risking her own life in the process)

9. Literally anytime Natsu gives Lucy his scarf (he hates it when people touch his scarf but she’s always the exception)

10. Natsu running to catch Lucy as she fell from the sky after the Infinity Clock was destroyed

11. Natsu showing Lucy the stars in the Dragon Cry movie

12. Asuka asking Natsu and Lucy to kiss each other (she’s a shipper like us 😂) and Natsu actually willing to go through with it.

Bonus: Edo Natsu and Lucy literally being married and they have a daughter together!! 😭💞 (Natsu, your freaking counterpart is beating you, step up your game!!)

I recently reread the Fairy Tail manga...

Well, what can I say, from the very beginning of this anime / manga, I liked a couple of Natsu/Lucy and I were scared of their long-term relationship for a while 

My fanatical desire for their relationship lived in my heart for a long time, until I realized a simple truth 

They will be 100% together, I am no longer afraid of such a long development of relations, because it is already clear and understandable that everything will be fine with them

I'll explain:

In all my long (25 years) life, I have not seen so many hints from the author about their relationship

(How do I want to see so many hints about Kogami and Akane from the Psycho Passport🥲)

How many times did Lucy calm Natsu down, how many times did Natsu rush into battle, seeing that Lucy was in danger

You can say no, he was eager to fight for the guild and for his friends, yes you are absolutely right 

But look at it from the other side, Mashima supports NaLu's day, he painted NaLu's daughter, can this not be considered a wild hint at their canon?

I believe that at the end of all 100-year quests and the continuation of these 100-year quests, Natsu will finally understand that it's time to take the relationship to a new level (to the level of Edolas, otherwise, knowing Natsu, he will transfer them to a completely different, unknown level) 

So why am I doing this, just recently I was in a misunderstanding and even in a panic that they are not being made a couple, but after looking at several sites and blogs, I am convinced for the first time that they are canon and will be canon

A few facts:

• The author made bold allusions to their relationship several times throughout the manga (how many screenshots do I have on my phone, God)

• The author drew his daughter NaLu and adheres to their day, celebrating it annually with fans

• NaLu is officially canon in Edolas!

(After a while I expect it in the original world)

• Plus another chapter from the 100-year quest, which shows alternative characters from the original, where Lucy and Natsu have an interesting relationship, if you understand what I mean 😏

I know that we Fairy Tail fans have seen the heartbreaking scene where Future Lucy comes in to warn her friends about the future during the tournament games season

But now I'm thinking about the next gen team accidentally traveling back in time to their parents' younger years before they were all born due to a mission gone wrong.

(If this fanfic exists, can someone send me a link, please?)

Like, imagine if Nalu's daughter Nasha and her team, who was the son of Gruvia, the son of Jerza, the daughter and son of Gajevy, and the daughter of miraxus all time traveled to the past and they're in their teen years trying to get their parents help to go back to their time.

During that duration of time, these kids get to know their parents and start revealing a few things about the future to not just them but some of their guild mates as well.

Like how young Romeo looks and how wendy and him are a very awesome duo in the future, and how cute Asuka looks in their parents' time and how young she looks despite them literally growing up knowing Asuka as an older sister figure similar to Wendy and how powerful Asuka becomes in the future.

I also genuinely want to see all the parents reaction to their kids being on the same team together. I have no doubt in my mind that Natsu and Gray would be on a whole other level of helicopter dads as soon as they see their kids and Erza just being such a proud mother.

I can also genuinely see Nasha having both her father's competitive spirit, his devotion, loyalty, and temper, but also her mother's intelligence and creativity and looking like a mix of both her parents. Gruvia's son, i can see being the distant quiet distant mysterious one with a major crush on Nasha. Jerza's son takes after both his parents but is more like erza when it comes to Nasha being unstable and reckless. Miraxus's daughter, i can see being completely like both of her parents when they were waaay younger and was probably the most sassiest, aggressive, and yet iconic people you'll ever meet. Gajevy's children, i can see both having that punk rock yet soft grunge aesthetic. I can also see Gajevy's kids being the most smartest people in the group, but due to their appearance, you would never expect it. Gajevy's son, i can see having his dad's attitude but also having his mother's brains and love for a good book. Gajevy's daughter, i can see having her mom's upbeat attitude and personality, but her dad's Rockstar spirit. She would also be a literal rockstar, playing guitar and singing like gajeel taught her. The only difference is the guild actually likes her singing

Oh god, I'm so in love with this rn. I want it so bad! Please tell me there is a fanfic like this out there! I need to know! I also want to know how makarov, Gildarts, and the rest of the guild react to the children and the mini spoilers about the future. SOMEONE GIVE ME THIS!!!!

(I still don't like gruvia, but I do like their kid. And I post this because I want to)
