Having one of Spencer's "final" moments with Trina be him reminiscing about Nik as a father and having his "final" moment with Nik be him telling Nik that he has a life with Trina now, just to disappear Nik before he and Trina have any interaction over Spencer's "death" is crazy. Making them both have an overwhelming sense of guilt over not protecting Spencer in the aftermath of his "death", just to not have them interact is CRAZY.

C&D's storytelling logic is impossible to follow because they never had any, it was just vibes (bad vibes at that).

Weren't the Cassadines this family of cunning, "three steps ahead of you", rich, crazy masterminds? Nikolas rolled into town all up in Ava's face like he had this grand plan but then did fuck all except make off with the baby – knowing how dangerous his mother was.

So you have all this money and all this machismo, but what did you and your useless resources accomplish but getting Spencer killed?

You could have done so many things, planned and executed something truly worthy of your name, like a good old-fashioned Cassadine – but we couldn't even get that.

I'm always happy to see Nikolas back. He's not Tyler (RIP my dark prince) but I'm loving the scenes with Ava and can't wait to see them go after Esme. They're so hot when they're scheming together.

Victor is dead. Nikolas is in jail. Spencer is presumed dead. Valentin is back in his villain bag but it feels like they're about to exit him. Charlotte isn't anywhere to be seen (though she should be because it would be nice to see Jake confide in her about his family drama)The Cassadine family is cooked.😩

It looks like Nik ain’t rescue Spencer so how are they gonna write him back in????

The real answer is that the Two Stooges absolutely did not decide who has Spencer when they wrote him going overboard or how they planned to bring him back. They were infamously shortsighted storytellers.

But to play along, Nik came back hours after Laura and Trina returned, and Nik, as the Head of the Cassadines, has resources and people for days.

It's absolutely possible that he's pulled a Victor and is stashing Spencer somewhere until he recuperates. It's as weird that Cyrus knew as it is that Nik knew to pop back up now since word is still getting around. I'm kind of partial to it being Nik just because I think Trina outmanuvering him gaslighting her about Spencer could be very classically gothic and fun.

Either way, looking forward to the inevitable Trina and Nik interaction. If Trina is Spencer's sun, then Nik is his moon. Their dynamic (whatever it is) should be very important.
