I had a very fun idea of Hermes in a more 'official' god form after watching tremendous amounts of Epic the Musical animatics, so here he is!!!

I feel like I should've done more with him, but oh well, I love him very much <333

Also, the speech bubble is a reference to an idea I have in my head ;w; of Grumbot and the others showing up to one of the God meetings that happen sometimes and storming in by accident.

While writing chapter 3 I've had the oportunity to describe Yellow Life Hermes's appearance change, and I could not wait to draw it <333 Look at my boy!!!!! <3333

Empires Hermes / NGAU Hermes ramble

So, I've been thinking for a long time about this.

Empires season 2 Hermes is a demi-god, son of Joel the God of Lore (and lightning) and Mythical J. Sausage, champion of Santa Perla. He was *named after* the Greek god Hermes, god of merchants, thieves, travellers, and messenger of the gods.

So Empires Hermes is *not* the same as the Greek god, despite the obvious and intended similarities (especially on Joel's part, he's very much like Zeus in that season in terms of aesthetic and powers).

So what would Empires Hermes (I will be calling him just Hermes for the rest of this post) 's Domain be?

He has lightning powers from his papa Joel, that is canon (seen in Sausage's last Empires video). But Joel also has lightning powers and he's primarily the god of *Lore*. So I propose to you:

Hermes, the demi-god of Literature and Written History, including letters and mail since those have been great factors in understanding historical events.

Biographies, Novels, Letters to loved ones, Writen Declarations of War, all would fall under his domain. And I very personally love that!! <3

I've thought many times about what his own Empire would be like and in my au and in my mind it would be covered with libraries akin to the Library of Alexandria, Cartographers and Librarians roaming the halls and working together to record every event, every misfortune, every victory, every trade route. With gold and marble statues of great figures and the sun softly beaming down at a pleasant temperature.

That's what I see for my Hermes, and I thought it'd be a good time to share it with you all as well. <3
