On your “I’m gonna answer these two together :)” post, totally agree that Longlegs is kind of in the father role. But that makes me think that Lee’s family was selected specifically for Longlegs to live there. I mean, other families were given the same choice, but Lee’s was the only one to have the father role empty.

Lee’s would have been the only one where Longlegs would have had to act as the killer if her mother refused to help. Idk, it just seems like it was more intentional than her just being the 7th that happened to agree to help. That makes me feel like Lee’s family was never supposed to be killed like the others.

Other thing that made me think there was more build up to the story: both Carrie-Ann and Lee’s mother talked about bleeding a lot when their daughters were born. Maybe there were some devil workings behind that. Or maybe that combined with the birthdays to be why they were chosen. I wonder if the other mothers had the same experience when the daughters were born?

Ruth and Lee being chosen specifically to live makes sense. They’re much more vulnerable than the other families. Ruth has no family or friends to fall back on, and would be much more likely to beg for their lives. They’re estranged enough from the community for Longlegs to be able to live there, but religious and respectable so they’re deaths would still be shocking if she said no. Since they keep fuckin up one of my favorite horror franchises, here’s MY plot to a reboot/sequel to Jeepers Creepers:

3 black, young adults drive through Florida to visit friends at a beach house for spring break. On their way, they decide to stop by to check on their sick grandmother who they haven’t seen in years, Jezelle. Although she seems happy to see her family, she fears that her loved ones could be in danger of The Creeper, who had mysteriously vanished from the Taggart’s farm a day before the end of it’s hibernation.

In this film, we finally get the origin story of The Creeper. Clearly from the plot, this takes place immediately after the second one. I want the guy who originally plays The Creeper to return (idk who tf that was in that Reborn shit). Ain’t finna be no trash ass special effects, NUNNADET! It’s gon be original af like the first one, a bit funny like the second one, edge of your seat, scary af. It’ll definitely make up for the last 2.

Oh oh oh!!! My favorite thing is industry jokes that I don’t understand. Like, Moya once told me about the animation joke about flash, and even though I don’t get it I love it so much. My brother told me a joke about electricians having messy benches he heard on a podcast and it makes me smile like a jackal. My dad did one of those “you know what they say about bankers and insurance agents” and I was on the edge of my seat like NO I DONT WHAT IS IT WHAT DO THEY SAY.

T/N: When you don’t get he wants to give you a hug, he actually says “It’s a hug! If I say it in Japanese, it’s ‘Hoyo’!”. Which, well, I could have translated like that... But the reason to go for the Japanese word is to make sure the player - who is assumed to be Japanese, thus there being a chance they understand “hoyo” better than “hug” - understands. But most people who’re reading this are probably not Japanese, so I instead just went for a synonym.

Also, Tsubaki, honey, you may be stronger because you’re a vampire, but I could pick you up, and I could easily carry you around piggyback style, don’t test me lmao. But I love how that and SUMO WRESTLING are options. Like, imagine, you’re on a date with a guy, and he opens his arms, whose thoughts would go to sumo wrestling?! ashdajkldjdkl

As for the lots of onomatopoeia, went with the best I could find (both in terms of “what is the Japanese onomatopoeia referring to?” and “the heck is that in English onomatopoeia?”). Original are “teketsun, teketsun, teketsuntsun” (-> *Trot trot pinch* part), “Gyuiiii~~~n!! Gyuingyuin! Gyuiiiiii~~~~!!!” (-> “Neeoooow” part), “shaka, zunzunzun, zuncha, shakashaka…… ” (-> *shake shake* part).
