Success Story of Anshum Gill
You learn from failure than from success, I have had my share of rejection in interviews, but I did not let any prior missed opportunities bring me down instead I learned where I went wrong and tried to correct that.I got placed with “Hughes Systique”
On the day of the drive, I felt confident and knew it was my day, I had studied everything that was taught to me over the past three years, and I believed in myself. The drive started with the aptitude test, which was soon followed by the results of the aptitude.
Being shortlisted only made me more confident in my abilities. When the time came for the interviews, I did not do any last-minute preparations as we do before our exams. I went in there answered all the questions confidently with a positive attitude, which resonated with them and enabled me to have this great opportunity that I have today.
I am able to thank The NorthCap University for the impact it had on my life because of the constant support of my parents and peers and the guidance of the faculty and SPA I would not be here.

A Glimpse of My Journey with NCU
Visualise a situation where in one day you are suddenly thrown out of your comfort zone into an unknown world - a place far away from the warmth of home and care of parents, a place with a different language and culture, and of course amidst a sea of new faces. This may sound like a bad dream, but it was precisely my situation in the year 2011 when I decided to join NCU (previously ITM University) to pursue my BBA.LLB (Hons). Though I did not face many difficulties in terms of academics, initially it was very difficult to adapt to the new environment.
As As a result, I came back home to my native place Bhubaneswar after a week, fully convinced that I would not return. After a lot of persuasion from my parents and well-wishers, I went back to NCU and today, when I look back, I feel that the decision of coming back was the turning point of my career.
For the next five years, NCU was my home away from home. what was once a place full of unknown faces eventually became my extended family. The best part of my journey at NCU, in addition to academics, was the value addition in terms of personality development. The well carved academic curriculum along with practical exposures in terms of internships, moot courts, field visits, etc. proved to be the perfect blend required to transform individuals into professionals. The University always ensured that we are at par with premier law schools in terms of exposure and opportunities. The infrastructure of NCU is one of the best in the NCR region and the ragging-free campus comprises a heterogeneous mix of students from different parts of the country.
To conclude with an honest confession, it was the continuous guidance and support I received from the faculty members at NCU Law School that helped me in realizing my true potential and achieving my goal of joining judicial service. Even today when I go through various phases of training before assuming office, I realize the importance of discipline and moral values which I have imbibed for my alma mater.

Holistic Development of students in the ECE department at NCU
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today- Malcolam X”.
The value of holistic education is unparalleled in today's time. This is exactly what pursuing ECE at The NorthCap University (Formerly ITM) provided us with. Well, NCU Gurgaon is the correct stepping stone for success. The overall development happens when you are guided by true individuals for the right track. In ECE department, the development of the students is enhanced at a good pace. Faculty’s rich experience, knowledge and pedagogy are is immensely helpful in grasping the courses. We could walk in anytime and are always meet with a patient ear to solve all our queries.
By evaluating the students’ potential through various fields like extempore, competitions, project making, project demonstration and so on. Studying in a Semi-IT field, it is expected that a student must be skill-oriented . Thus, faculty focuses on skills area primarily which includes programming, aptitude, analytical skills and many more. Development not only means that one should be good in academics or orating skills whereas the students in the ECE department also focuses on developing their moral values and as well as discipline skills. To bring a bright character one should be evaluating himself or herself in every aspect. To make the students aware of the external world specially in industries, many industrialists visit the campus for enlightening students on the current technologies or several industrial visits are being held so that a student will come to know on which level he or she is currently thinking.
Sharing your ideas with experienced people will help you to expand your knowledge horizon. So, the students are allowed to showcase their ideas and give a new start to their projects by conducting several competitions. The young minds are given ample opportunities for a great start to their ideas and are invited to work upon live projects as well.
Around the pre-final year, the students who require extra courses with proper training are also being held on the campus in which the campus invites the professionals and allow them to teach the students. Now as we are advancing in the field of digitalization, it is mandatory to have good hands-on experience with the latest software like MATLAB, CADENCE, etc. So, it is a boon for students to have a well-equipped state of art labs in the department.
Periodically guest lectures, workshops, seminars are being arranged for the students so that they can get training on the latest technologies. Generally, the courses are subject-oriented only but, in our department, we have project-oriented courses also which help the students to enhance their practical and as well as theoretical skills. While many talks of student-industry synergy, we actually realized the true essence through multiple field visits, leadership guest talks, professional societies, clubs and internships.
Interests ranging from co-curricular to extra-curricular are given an outlet of expression through various fests, international societies and competitions. This serves a dual purpose for us exploring the interests as well as learning to manage and lead. Thus, the ECE department focuses to develop the all-round personality of its students.

My Journey at NCU: Towards a Meaningful Life
It is often said that the foundation of a building requires maximum investment and minimum compromise with quality. Today, while I enjoy the fruits of achieving big in my profession, I feel proud to recollect the time when my career’s foundation was being laid at NCU. Law as a career was never an option for me until I came across a bunch of students formally dressed up in a Lawyer’s attire having a group discussion on a contemporary issue.
The professionalism showcased by my young fellow mates at that point was such that the very next day I started enquiring about the procedure of migrating from the programme in which I was admitted initially, to the School of Law. Within a week, the quality investments towards time management, knowledge, professionalism, discipline, career building and skill polishing were already in place for us. One of the most innovative endeavors taken by the law faculty at The NorthCap University was to regularly execute out of classroom learning techniques.
As a student, I found this approach quite intellectual and rewarding. Almost every week, Guest Lectures, Moot Courts, Competitions and Seminars were organized, where we had the flavour of not just organizing events but also participating in the same. I bagged five confirmed job opportunities along with the maximum CTC ever received by any NCU alumni, thereby, proving that the foundation of my careercouldn’t have been better if the formula of maximum investment and minimum compromise with quality hadn’t been followed sodiligently by my alma mater.
