hi hi hi!!
Name your favourite artists who inspire you! Your arts are so cute
Other ship aside Armin/Annie?
Do you plan to draw more Aruani?
oh hiiii !!! 😊
1.
This is very difficult aaaaaa :_) obviously all the aruani related artists that I follow inspire me a lot, maybe we have very different art styles but I love seeing their art and they encourage me to embrace and enjoy the fandom as I am still a bit self-conscious about that "nerdy" part of myself.
I am kinda shy to mention specific people but let's see...... @nobluesea, @annawayne, @lidatan, @brbarou, @phyroblue, @ghostieking, @pepperjackets, @catfein ... aaand I have to mention @kalruani who I think is my fav aruani artist but I don't think they're on tumblr...... 👉👈 I don't wanna make anybody feel bad if I forget them, so if I follow you, consider yourself part of the list PLEASE :_)
some other non tumblr related people:
Ana Galvañ • Sara Soler • Gabriel Picolo • Bryan Lee O'Malley • alessandro barbucci • Núria Tamarit • Miguel Gallardo (RIP) • Maria Herreros • Laura Brouwers • Gretel Lusky • KAZLAND • Cristina Daura • So Lazo • Dakota Cates • Ingrid Arbiol • Paw Salcés • Xulia Vicente • Beatriz Fletes • LUCIA CUÑAT ORTEL • Paco Roca • Fran Riolobos • Ian • Sha'an d'Anthes • Lucy Zhang • David Ramírez • Julia Kaye • Alex Norris • AND some friends that are also great artists: [RAMUNE] - Alba Flores - Natalia Lucas - Joaquín Guirao
I'm forgetting people for sure aaaaaaaaa I tried my best.........
The alternative / punk / fanzine / local scene inspires me a lot, shows like Adventure Time, videogames like NITW or Omori with great art, and MUSIC!
2.
at this moment tbh I am super aruani focused... but I've shipped a lot through my life haha when I was a child I was obsessed with TK + Kari (digimon) and I usually shipped my fav character from anything, which usually was the misfit / weird / nerd one (I still do btw) 😅 Some ships that I also like at this moment could be zutara, bubbline, tomgreg from succession (in a fun way tbh), OBVIOUSLY tayley from paramore but they are real people so..... HAHA idk if you ask me what do I think of some specific ship I'll tell you my take!
3.
YES!! 🥰
thank you for asking!

El Fonoll, The Medieval Village In Spain Where Clothes Are Banned
Nestled in the Catalan mountains, this small naturist community was created in 1998 by an entrepreneurial couple on the ruins of a deserted town. Despite the strict rules, it attracts people from all over the world. ‘I will die in El Fonoll, naked but happy,’ says owner Emili Vives

There are many options to enjoy the summer. There are those who dislike to innovate and instead opt for an all-inclusive vacation at some beachfront resort. And then there are those who seek lesser-known and more alternative havens of peace. El Fonoll, a restored medieval village in the province of Tarragona, in Spain’s northeastern region of Catalonia, falls squarely within the latter category. Whether as a family, as a couple or alone, wearing clothes is prohibited here. The village, founded in the 14th century, has been converted into a community for those who want to experience harmony with the natural environment. There are campsites, hotels, rural homes, restaurants and many activities on hand, but there are also strict rules: taking photos is prohibited (unless you have consent); complete nudity is required (weather permitting), and respect must be shown for all ideologies. The list of rules goes on, on posters that are plastered everywhere. El Fonoll is a place where you cannot pretend to be what you are not.
It was in 1998 that this previously abandoned location became habitable again. The entrepreneurs Emili Vives and Núria Espinal, a married couple, built the naturist village from the ruins of the abandoned village — the last resident walked away in the 1950s. In a few years, it became a fresh-looking town with houses and everything necessary for living. “What brings me the most satisfaction is that, when I bought this, there was not a single tile left standing. There was nowhere to go. It was completely razed and abandoned,” explains Vives about how the village re-emerged from its ashes like “a Phoenix.” In a telephone conversation with EL PAÍS, the businessman gave details about the restoration process and the lifestyle of this peaceful community: “It took us eight years to have the entire exterior finished. It came out looking real pretty.” Although, he also confesses: “We don’t want any more tourists. We are fine the way we are now.” In 1998, they settled on the outskirts of town in a motorhome, and with the help of their children, they began to build what is today a refuge for naturists. “This meant I had to move into a motorhome in the winter, it was cold as hell,” he recalls.
Despite building the foundations of the community with very few difficulties, Vives did not have an easy time of it. He spent 150 million pesetas (about $980,000) out of his own pocket to recondition the spot. And as if that were not enough, he says, he has had judicial problems for more than a decade. His detractors call him “enlightened” and say he has executed building work without a license. He feels persecuted by the authorities, but has found solace in the streets of El Fonoll. The village even has its own currency. The community facilities are his, and the rules that he himself dictates must be complied with.
Basically, apart from the more than 30 rules to follow, the only major requirement in this corner of the world is to be a naturist. At least behind closed doors. “Naturism is a philosophy that seeks to live in harmony with nature. It is like a tree with many branches. It could be defined as a Buddhism of environmentalism. It’s a way of being. It’s not about being without clothes, which is also part of this type of tourism.” It could be viewed as a religion to which each of the visitors who set foot in El Fonoll pray, and whose 15 commandments — which can be read on their website — are inflexible. Although, as it is self-styled as a democratic community, suggestions can always be deposited in a public box. “I believe that this is a space of freedom, respect and good vibes. What we don’t let in is preachers or people who want to brainwash us. It is a space of respect for any ideology. Here, our only values are those of naturism,” the businessman states emphatically.

El Fonoll has 120 beds divided between apartments, cabins and a hostel. In addition, there is a campsite for motorhomes, which can also be used for long stays. To access El Fonoll and use the town’s facilities, you must purchase the access voucher: €7.50 for the day/night voucher (to which you must add the price of the accommodation). And for their most frequent visitors, they offer an annual rate of €51.
Among mountains of pine, elm and ash trees, “the lifestyle here is quite simple. My life, in fact, is quite austere. I try to eat everything I can get from my organic garden,” Vives confesses, always preaching that “simplicity is at the origin of happiness.” Peaceful coexistence is almost mandatory in this place. Both Vives and his volunteers organize activities from Monday to Sunday. There are walks and events to celebrate life. “We do cultural activities. We have a small cinema, a restaurant, a multipurpose nightclub that we also use for massage or yoga courses or workshops or whatever else we do around here,” says the owner. “On Sundays, there is paella for everyone.”
Probably, one of the most important rules, and at the same time, the most difficult to comply with, is: “In order to film or take photographs on the estate, authorization is required from the management and the people involved.” Privacy is one of the most precious assets of the El Fonoll community, which is sometimes endangered by the use of smartphones by visitors. Sometimes, the attempts of its owners to keep the village away from today’s world are threatened by technology. Even so, they assume that photographs have never been a problem for them: “They are prohibited. It is one of the rules that can be read on the sign at the entrance to the village. It is a matter of respect,” explains Vives. “When we make paella and we want to take a group photo because 70-80 people are together, we take it and that’s it.” He jokes: “I suggest to people who don’t want to be recognized in the picture, to turn their faces away.”

The visitors who come to El Fonoll are very diverse. “The people who come are those who have left their comfort zone. There are people of all kinds. But above all, they are very interesting people to meet and engage with. In short, we don’t get chusma (rabble) and people like that, fortunately.” Many foreigners make their way here: “The people who come the most are Dutch, Belgian, French, English and German. But people come from all over the world.” A curious case in point: “It is very interesting. A lot of people come from Iceland, even though we never advertise. We only have the one website.”
“From a financial point of view, I think this whole thing has been a failure,” said Vives in a 2010 interview with this newspaper. “I will die in El Fonoll, naked but happy.” Asked how he feels after 14 years, he confirms that he has no regrets: “As the militant that I assure you I am, I have always tried to disseminate and promote and explain and defend what naturism is all about, and I don’t I regret a thing.”

6Technological Advancements in Medical fields that will Revolutionize the Future
Our modern life is more comfortable because of technology. f we want our daily life to be more comfortable, then technological advancements are most important. In recent years, technological advancements in the medical field give us hope to live without anxiety. Today we will discuss five technological advancements in medical fields that will revolutionize the future.
GENETIC EDITING
Treatments for genetically based diseases
When Chinese scientist He Jianku announced in November that he had manipulated twins’ DNA to not develop AIDS, all alarms went off. The situation imagined by many science fiction authors had materialized. Technology always advances at more speed than social debate and legislation. The use in human embryos of the genetic editing technique used by He, known as CRISPR/Cas9 or simply CRISPR, is heavily regulated. It allows DNA fragments to be cut and pasted at will and has been available since 2012. Besides, as it is cheap and straightforward, it is used in any laboratory that needs it, representing a breakthrough.
CRISPR technology’s main limitation is the lack of control over process errors, leading to unwanted genetic variations. According to Lluís Montoliu, a researcher at the CSIC’s National Centre for Biotechnology, “cutting can be controlled very well in the DNA sequence, but the same cannot yet be done with the repair.”
Drug development
Despite these limitations, this technique has already revolutionized biomedical research. It will continue to do so in the future, particularly in drug development and the treatment of diseases caused by genetic alterations. It is estimated that a single mutation causes about 10,000 diseases, so the technique’s potential is enormous. “All genetically based diseases are likely to be treated with CRISPR -says Montoliu-, although there are cases in which it can be easier or more difficult.”
Genetic editing allows, for example, to enhance a research technique known as knockout screening. By altering a gene, you can check what effects it causes, which can be used to identify targets for new drugs. Another thing that can be done is to solve resistance problems with certain medications. Gene silence allows us to see what genetic conditions cells are most sensitive to treatment so that compounds can be designed that act on the proteins produced thanks to the genes involved in resistance. This could improve, for example, chemotherapy in cases of pancreatic cancer. Another application of genetic editing is the possibility of introducing in mice the mutations that cause disease in a specific patient. Thus, treatments and ways to relieve symptoms can be tested accurately and personally.
But perhaps the area in which CRISPR technology is most promising is gene therapy. One way to implement this therapy is to extract the patient’s cells, edit them, select those that have not suffered any unwanted alteration, and re-inject them to the patient with the security that will not cause any unforeseen effect. This is already being used to treat blood diseases such as sickle cell anaemia and beta-thalassemia and boost immunotherapy in cancer cases. And it is expected that in the future this range of conditions will be expanded.
Clinical trials are also being carried out today to treat genetic diseases that affect sight. In this case, genetic editing tools are introduced directly into the eye. In this sense, explains Montoliu, “the eye is an accessible organ, which is isolated from the rest of the body and in which these therapies have already been tested, so doing so is relatively safe.”
ASSISTED REPRODUCTION
Three-person DNA embryos to treat infertility
Some arising from delayed maternity problems are forcing innovation in assisted reproduction treatments, increasing the effectiveness of treatments, and reducing their side effects. One of the main lines of research involves optimizing results. The success rate of embryo implantation is 30%, which can grow to 60% with a genetic diagnosis. “The personalization of reproductive medicine – with genetic diagnosis to determine which are the best embryos or with a genetic profile of the uterus to know what is the best time to transfer them – allows to increase the implantation rates,” explains Xavier Santamaria, Igenomix researcher and deputy scientific director of IVI, who augurs that in ten years it will be possible to reach “implementation rates of 90%”.
Other research lines have to do with tissue regeneration, big data, or ovarian rejuvenation. The most revolutionary is the nuclear transfer technique or maternal spindle transfer, which is popularly referred to as the embryo of three genetic parents. It uses the DNA of three people. It is about extracting the nucleus from the mother’s egg and introducing it into the donor’s egg, from which the original nucleus has previously been extracted. The result is an egg with the cytoplasm free of defective mitochondria and a nucleus with the mother’s inheritance. It is then fertilized in vitro with the father’s sperm and implanted in the mother’s uterus. This technique, however, has only been used within the framework of clinical trials. The United Kingdom was the first country to give the green light to prevent the transmission of mitochondrial diseases. The world’s first baby conceived like this was born in 2016 in Mexico. The novelty is that it has now been used not to prevent disease but to solve infertility problems: on April 9, the first child was born in Athens thanks to the collaboration of the Institute of Life assisted reproduction centre in Athens and Embryotools, the company based at the Barcelona Science Park that has developed the technique. “It has an important application because many couples with fertility problems now have no solution unless it is with conventional oocyte donation. It works very well, but genetically these babies are not related to the mother, which causes couples difficulty accepting it,” says Nuno Costa-Borges, scientific director of Embryotools. The child resulting from this assisted reproduction technique is related to the biological father and mother by more than 99% since the donor only provides mitochondrial DNA, which accounts for less than 1% of the cell. That is why Costa-Borges refuses to talk about “children of three parents” because it “leads to confusion.”
Ethical debate
However, the technique is still in the experimental period – the pilot trial is being conducted in Greece – and it would take the endorsement of the National Commission for Assisted Human Reproduction to apply it in Spain. It is a technique not without controversy since many of these fertility problems could be solved with donated eggs without the need to modify them to introduce the mother’s nuclear DNA. Besides, some voices warn that the baby’s consequences are unknown, although Costa-Borges assures that the former has been born healthy. “Science is advancing faster than laws, and it is important that Spain, a leading country in egg donation, can allow it in a regulated area,” he says. In any case, it cannot be incorporated into clinical practice overnight, as special technology and training are needed.
TISSUE BIOPRINTING
Custom fabrics thanks to bioprinting
At present, the only known cases of organs printed in the laboratory and successfully implanted in people are those of five Chinese children affected by microtia, a deformation of the ear of genetic origin. A team of Chinese scientists explained a year ago that they had managed to combine 3D printing with cultivation techniques to generate ears that they successfully implanted in five cases.
Although we are still far from creating organs such as kidneys in the laboratory and transplanting them into a person, current tissue printing technology opens up a set of new applications. First, it is now possible to recreate patients’ laboratory tissues from images of the real tissue. This allows complicated testing surgeries in the laboratory so that when the patient intervenes, the procedure is safer. It is being done thanks to the new bioengineering departments in hospitals such as Sant Joan de Déu or Clínic de Barcelona and is expected to increase.
This technology also creates low-vascularized body parts, such as heart valves, skin, tendons, and cartilage. These objects are printed with an ink that mimics the protein structure of real tissue. In the case of heart valves and tendons, they are already being tested in mice. “We can do it thanks to all the basic research on these tissues that have been developed over the last few years,” explains Núria Montserrat, a researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).
Thanks to this knowledge, in the future personalized tissues, can be printed from real images of the tissue to be regenerated so that the fit between the implant and the receiving organism improves considerably. In this sense, Montserrat and her team also work to obtain materials with which fabrics that do not generate rejection can be printed when they are implanted.
Bioprinting also opens a new pathway in drug testing. There are already companies that print tissues such as the liver, in which the toxicity of certain drugs can be studied so that, in the future, the process of creation and pharmacological trial can be shortened.
MICROBIOTA AND IMMUNE SYSTEM
Modulation of the body’s defence system
In recent years, the set of microorganisms that live in the guts, especially bacteria, has a significant impact on health. Known as microbiota, they help develop the guts’ anatomy, stimulate the immune system of babies, participate in food digestion and vitamin production, and play an essential role in assimilating drugs. The study of the relationship between the microbiota and the immune system is an incipient field of research that can improve vaccine efficiency, cancer treatments, allergies, and autoimmune diseases.
“We are starting to see a relationship between the immune system response and the nature of the microbiota,” explains Roger Paredes, a researcher at the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute. For example, in mice, it has already been observed that there are eleven species of bacteria that stimulate an immune response capable of fighting HIV and some cancers. According to the researcher, “moving from mice to humans is complicated, but this knowledge is promising.”
Scientists’ idea is to modulate the immune system response depending on the disease by administrationing the good bacteria. In this way, this response could be intensified in cases of infections and cancer and attenuate it in allergies and autoimmune diseases. “We’re talking about bacteria that still can’t be bought in pharmacies,” Paredes clarifies. The research carried out so far in the laboratories opens up new and exciting perspectives.
CELL THERAPY LULAR FOR CANCER
CAR-T, a promising strategy to treat leukaemias
Car-T cell therapy (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cells) has been a “step forward” in curing certain haematological cancers but has not yet developed its full potential. “We have not removed all the juice,” acknowledges Josep Maria Ribera, head of haematology at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) Badalona and expert in cell therapy. CAR-T cell therapy consists of genetically modifying the cells of the same patient’s immune system to make them recognize and attack tumour cells. A specific type of cells are selected, T lymphocytes – immune system cells extracted from the patient’s blood and treated to introduce genes made into the laboratory, which act as a kind of “weapon” to specifically identify tumour cells attack them more aggressively. “We modify them to destroy tumour cells,” explains Ribera. These modified cells are siphoned to the patient intravenously.
When all options failed
This therapeutic strategy brings together one of the three most cutting-edge lines in the approach to cancer: immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and genetic editing. And it has become one of the most promising therapeutic approaches for haematological cancers -basically lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and myeloma-. The challenge is that it can be transferred to solid tumours. CAR-T therapy is reserved for cases where the rest of the treatments have failed because, as Ribera acknowledges, it has “lights and shadows.” On the one hand, it has proven very useful in the short term, but it plays against its toxicity, and that there is still a lack of data to determine its long-term effectiveness. “We are seeing patients relapsing, and that makes us think it is not the ultimate weapon. It is effective and has a great future, it will be an advantage for many patients, but from here to cure cancer, there is still a long way”.
Ribera calls the advance “substantial” – especially since it is a hope for patients who could only be offered palliative care – but says it will have to be time to say if it is a revolution. “The possibility of development is immense, but I trust more in the CAR-T of the future than in those of the present. The story of the CAR-T is yet to be written; we have only begun it,” he concludes.
‘BIG DATA’ AND VIRTUAL REALITY
Artificial intelligence to help the doctor decide
“There is no other sector in which data generation is as high and goes at as much speed as medicine,” says Carolina García Vidal, a specialist in the infectious diseases service at Hospital Clínic. And now, this data can already be used for the benefit of the patient. “Artificial intelligence is present, and the creation of automated algorithms helps us to make clinical decisions,” explains García Vidal, who highlights that it is an “innovative” approach. “We are able to use large volumes of data from electronic clinical histories to create algorithms for predicting what will happen to our patients,” he adds. An example is the algorithm they have created to predict with a reliability of 98% which cancer patients will develop infections by multiresistant microorganisms and which will not, which allows to adjust the initial treatments to the real need and minimize side effects. It is estimated that one in four of these patients with multiresistant infection receives incorrect treatment. This figure is reduced to 2% with the algorithm, resulting in reduced antibiotic consumption, less toxicity, and lower economic costs.
Artificial intelligence also has applications in imaging techniques. There are experiences to diagnose skin, breast, and lung tumours and eye diseases or interpret scanners or resonances. For García Vidal, this is the beginning of a story that will “revolutionize medicine,” since now the prediction of the patient’s evolution is based on experience and what the medical literature says. At the same time, “in the future-present, we will have a lot of data processed by artificial intelligence that will make accurate predictions and personalized treatments.” They will not replace; however, the doctors: “They will complement the doctor’s mind; they will make our lives easier.”
Virtual reality to reduce pain Another example of technology applied to medicine is virtual reality to reduce patients’ pain and distress when faced with medical procedures such as surgical intervention. The Hospital Mútua de Terrassa has done a pilot test to reduce cancer patients’ pain when they leave the operating room, and the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital uses it for children who undergo magnetic resonances. Immersive technology has a promising potential as a painkiller effect and is also a useful tool for treating phobias, as they do at the Quirón Dexeus University

Nahikari García: “With Vero I saw that it was possible to reach the top.”
The forward born in Urnieta, top scorer of Real Sociedad in recent years, has also found in medicine a great calling.
"Did you come to Donosti just for the interview?" Asks Nahikari García, forward and one of Real Sociedad’s captains, when the over than 40 minutes of talk conclude. That humility surprises. That tone of surprise. On the other side of the window of the Harrobi de Zubieta cafeteria, it doesn’t stop raining heavily. It is inevitable to comment on the typical - and topical - weather of the Basque Country. “Last week we played against Atlético de Madrid and the National Team teammates always ask me that if it is very bad, that if it is this, that if it is the other ... And they came and it was very sunny! A great weekend!” She says smiling.
While I collect the pages full of questions, Núria - who has been taking photos the entire time - is interested in the forward’s musical taste and readings. “I really like reading. I read Dime quién soy and I really liked it. About music, I like Leiva, ” says Nahikari. From there, a small tour around the facilities of the Ciudad Deportiva begins, with the aim of concluding the photoshoot. We talked about her injury, how could it be otherwise, and one of the physiotherapists makes an appearance. "I doubt you take it well," she says jokingly while Nahikari remains facing the camera.
But the fact that we are there, not only responds to Nahikari being the top scorer of Real in recent years. Nor to have debuted with the absolute selection. The young attacker born in Urnieta, beyond a rival’s goal, has a medicine career in her eyes. Forging in this profession with the aim of exercising when she stops scoring goals. And that is why, 45 minutes before, I decided to start the talk with that topic.
Is it hard to combine football and studies considering that you’re studying Medicine?Well, I don’t know if it’s because I study Medicine but it’s true that lately it has been. When I started the career I was already at Real, but the demand has been bigger in the past few years. Also because women’s football has changed so much this past few seasons and it demands more hours to train, more requirements. Being with the National Team, it also takes away your free time. It gets harder to combine but I’m not in a hurry either.
And it’s 6 or 7 years... And then the MIR... All that if you’re up to date... You see...
And then, when you finish your career, what do you have in mind? Well, I’m not thinking about that yet because I know that it’s something that’s gonna take some time. Besides, I still see myself playing football for years. If everything goes well, I have more seasons to play. Now my goal is to finish my career and then when it’s time for the MIR, I’ll prepare for that. It’s true that life goes around but I would like to carry out my specialty and do that in the future.
So, that specialty is sports medicine? Yes. I like that because it’s what I know and what I see here. I think that we’ll see later on. Once you get into that world, you see and work in different specialties... However, in my head there are a lot of projects that I would like to try. Of course I would like to be connected to the sport because I love it, but I don’t know. Maybe I could be in a club, in a hospital or also at an ONG around the world.
Man, that last one... That would be really good!
With the growth there is in women’s football, have you thought about putting your studies in hold? Putting it on hold, no. Taking it more slowly, yes. For example, I don’t take every class every year. But I wouldn’t like to put it on hold. Although sometimes I can only take one class, I don’t want to leave it because once you do that, you disengage and it’s like you ignore it. So even if it’s little by little, I would like to always do something.
In most interviews, you talk about helping and learing. Are those the main reasons why you chose Medicine? Yes! To learn, no doubt. I like knowing new things and learning. And they say doctors don’t have much relationship with the patient, but I do like that part more human. Being close, lending a hand... At the end, it comes from home. My mom is a nurse and I’ve seen it since I was a kid. It’s something that always caught my attention. It’s a calling. No doubt.
The growth in women’s football and your studies have led you to make a lot of sacrifices, according to what you’ve said in other interviews. I’m not asking about what’s been the boggest sacrifice, but which one has hurt you the most? I don’t think they’re sacrifices as such. At the end, I do this because I like it. I see more as a bet. My luck is to be at home. I’ve played at Real my entire life but evidently, you miss out on important moments like family meetings or with friends... In my case, I couldn’t be at my grandfather’s funeral because I was at the World Cup in Costa Rica. Evidently, you think: “fuck”. Football gives me a lot, but it also takes a lot. I’m very happy to be where I am and to choose what I’ve chosen. And I don’t see neither my friends nor my family as often as I would like. Or my little cousins. - She laughs - My cousin always says: “Fuck, everyone tells me how cool it is that Nahikari is my cousin but I don’t like it because she’s training every day and I can’t see her.”
To dedicate to Medicine, you have to be cold blooded, precision on the diagnosis and treatment, not making mistakes... Is that very similar to playing as a forward? I was just about to say that! The comparison is good. Maybe, yeah. If you miss, the focus is on you, and on the other hand, if you got it right, you’re the best. And in that, with medicine there’s a lot of similarities. In both cases you have to know how to deal with the pressure and with those critical moments. One thing will help me with the other! I’ll nbecome an expert on this.
With a lot of people, and independently if you're successful or not, you start playing at parks and at school. But where does your passion for footbal begin? Well, it comes from home. My dad is a very big football fan. And so is my brother, even if he denies it! So that passion began at home. We had a park near and we met up with my brother’s friends there. We spent the entire day kicking the ball. Plus I would tell my dad: “Aita, I wanna go train. Let’s go train”. And he was there. Football is very vocational, You either like it or not. You live it or you don’t live it and me, for one thing or another, well it’s been my calling since I was a kid.
You started playing at Añorga when you were 9. Always as a forward? Yes, always. I was the smallest... Small and fast! So I think they put me as a forward to run.
In Añorga’s first team you’re from 14 to 16. In fact, you made your debut when you were 14... How was the debut? Well, we were in the Second Division and that was a great year where we won the league and we played the play-off for the promotion to First Division... It was very progressive because they really wanted to take care of me. Besides, I was also starting with the National Team. Euskadi’s as well as Spain’s. It was a lot of  jogging and the coach I had back then, Juanjo, handled it very well. I was playing only halves at the beginning until there was a point where I said “fuck”. I was training, I was doing it very well... In the second round I started playing more and in the play-off I was in the starting lineup.
You talked in an interview that you never have to lose focus so you can stay on track. Where is Nahikari’s focus now? On continuing to grow and, above all, not losing that ambition to want to achieve important challenges. I don’t know how, when or where. But I do want to keep feeling that I’m moving forward and growing. I have goals and dreams to fight for. I think it’s always important having something worth fighting for, not getting comfortable and get carried away. I have that in mind and I know I have a long way to go, a lot to grow and a lot to still do in football. I work for that.
You also mention that you have to choose your role models very well, in case you lose focus. Who are yours? Well, beyond the people around you in the locker room, I’m very lucky to coincide in the National Team with people who have a lot of experience. For example, Vero (Boquete). I think they’re people who are doing very well in women’s football and so I look at that. That they’re very humble and hard-working people who have paved their path and, from there, they’re growing.
There’s a story in another interview that I really liked. Your mom came home with a newspaper with Vero in double page and that gave you strength to keep going... Yeah. It’s true. It made me realize that it was possible to reach the top. Nowadays we’re much more accesible and it’s easier to see that you can make it. But back then, I didn’t have many role models that were women players and professionals that were living from this. Seeing it there made me see that there were people who had made it and they pulled forward. It gave me hope. To say: “Nahikari... Go ahead with your drea, because it’s possible”.
You’re a Real fan... A Real fan...
A very big Real fan... Yes, yes!
That, in a game, does it help or is it worse? I mean, beyond the concentration itself, there’s an emotional component. Yes! Definitely. I have very strong feelings towards the club but also a very important one towards the team. We’ve managed to create a feeling of union and companionship that makes you fight for it. You’re not only fighting for the badge but also for a common goal that we set up. You say “Fuck... I run for me, but also for the one next to me. This is for all of us.” But obviously, that feeling is worse because you suffer so much more. When you win, everything is great; but when you lose, it hurts you so much more. And it’s, precisely, for that feeling of commitment and for everything that surrounds you. It’s important to manage it and revitalize it on several occasions.
The great knock that it is to win the Copa de la Reina. After doing that, did you feel like from that moment onwards people were going to expect so much more from you all? Yes. Definitely. Especially people from the outside. At the end, a lot of people have known us for years but others know us because they saw us winning the Copa. So, it seems like the demand is to win the league or to be in the Champions League, That’s why I think it’s important that we keep our feet on the ground and be aware of where we come from, what we’ve achieved and the path that we want to continue. All of this, of course we’re talked about and worked with our coach. I think we have to grow from having our feet on the ground and having clear goals. We want to be at the top but without driving ourselves crazy. Obviously, we’re the first ones that want to win every weekend and continue to grow. And we’re the first ones that would love to win the league but we have to be aware of where we are and where we come from. But, definitely, the ambition is intact.
Let’s go to that final then. The end of the game, that’s clear. Everything is euphoric. But at half time, with the game tied 1-1, how was it? Courage, silence... Well... we were silent because we were so tired! I remember half time, sitting in the ground and saying: “My God, we’re suffering so much”. In the first half we suffered a lot and in the second half we were better. The message was that we could win. With 1-1- at the half we had the game where we wanted it. We knew we were gonna get our chance and we had to keep holding on. And we did!
Finals hadn’t treated you very well... No...
Until this one. When you get the ball and you see yourself in that position, do the ghosts from the past come back? I say it because of that fatal mistake in the 2016 Euros... No. No way. I didn’t think in that moment. But it’s that, I had it clear that that ball was going in. I didn’t have any doubts about how I was gonna hit it or that kind of stuff. It was all very natural and super normal. I saw it clear. I knew where the ball was gonna go.
After the goal... were you aware of what you’d done? No! Not at all!
In that moment with all the players during the celebration, what do you say? You just made a comeback! Well, we told each other that we had to hold on! Cold head and keep doing the same. Because we knew we were doing very well and we didn’t have to change anything. Not to park the bus but not going forward too much either. Put pressure when we had to put pressure and hold on when we had to hold on.
From the front, how did you see Sun’s saves? Pf... suffering a lot. But we knew Sun was gonna hold us. She had been doing it all season and you saw her. I told her. That day she was super hyper motivated. She was with a lot of energy and when Sun is like that, you know she’s gonna have a great game.
Is it the best moment in your sports career? I’ve had really good and happy moments but I’d never felt such a feeling. Making my debut with the National Team was amazing. Playing the World Cup was amazing. But being able to culminate that moment with a goal... that was very powerful.
Last year and this year there’s been interest from other teams. First PSG. How real was that interest, considering the classic rumors during the transfers window? Fuck it was real... It’s because we played a tournament here. At the beginning everything looked like a movie. First, who was gonna tell me that PSG was gonna come to play a tournament here at Zubieta. Then, who was gonna tell me that they were gonna notice me and have the interest to sign me. In fact, we joked about it at home: “Can you imagine if a team like this comes here someday?” And when they did, well it was weird. Me, at first, I didn’t believe it, but there were talks between the clubs. At the end, it didn’t work out and I ended up winning the Copa at the end of the season.
And then it was Atlético. Were you close to leaving? You wanted the whole thing to end before the World Cup. Yeah, yeah. Defnitely. When we talked about the goal to grow, I’ve never lied to people from the outside nor to the people from the club. I would like to grow and live other experiences. If Real offers me that, then let’s do it. We’ll stay together and very happy. And as long as I’m here, I’ll give everything for this club. At that point, everything that had happened in the Copa and everything that that generated made me decide to stay. Everything was talked with the club. They’ve told me that when I feel the need to leave, they’ll open the doors. That reassures me. But I don’t know when that will be and if it’ll happen or not, because life changes a lot.
We’re moving to the National Team and it’s inevitable to think about the miss in that final vs France in the 2016 Euros. That has been talked about a lot. I’m interested the next game or games, when you have another clear chance. Did that miss become too much? Well, after that we had vacations and then I went back to Real. I tried to not give it too much importance and keep playing. I didn’t want to think about it again. But at the end, even if you don’t want to, you realize that your confidence isn’t the same. But I worked on it because I was aware of that. And I managed to change the situation! I think that a moment like the one I went through hurts you, yes, but it also helps you grow.
I read that you went to a sports psychologist... Yes, I was working with him.
At what point do you realize that you needed that kind of help? Well, I realized during the season. I was getting sick, injured... Things that I thought: “Fuck. What’s going on, Nahi?” Well, it was the lack of confidence. I knew that my character had taken me, in big part, to everything that I’d achieved and when I saw it diminished I said: “Nahikari. Something is going on with you and we have to fix this”. After that I started working. To be honest, it helped me a lot. Especially to relativize important situations. I grew and learned a lot from those moments.
Then, after that, you go two years without going to the National Team and you had coincided with Jorge Vilda. Did you talk to him about that absence? When the mistake in Slovakia happened, he was there with me and everyone protected me and they gave me their total confidence, a lot of love and we talked. But in those two years that I didn’t get called up, there wasn’t any explanation... He didn’t have to give me one either! Because I knew it was about my performance. When he called me up, it was because he believed I was in a good moment. With Jorge, we’ve always had a close relationship and we’ve talked about many things. I think he trusts me too, but I don’t think he has to explain to me why I wasn’t called up during that time
Either way, you came back in a big way at the Wolrd Cup in France. In fact, you and Lucía (García) coming in against South Africa, changed the course of the game. What does it feel to get to the locker room knowing that you were a big reason for the first win Spain had in a World Cup? Well, it was a rush. Being able to win the first game in a World Cup is very important. It seemed like everyone was counting that we were gonna do it, but the games have to be played. Spain was coming off from not winning any games in the last World Cup. We knew it was a clear goal and I lived it with the same happiness as the rest of my teammates. With the plus that I made my debut in a World Cup.
Against China, you qualified for the knockout stage. Was it bittersweet, that qualification, knowing you had to play the US? Yes... But mostly because of the feeling we had. We had a great feeling against Germany... Of playing football so well...Of competing so well... But China parked the bus, you have chances but you can’t score. Our goal at the World Cup was to make it past the group stage. We were very happy for reaching that goal but then you know that you have to play the US and it’s a hard.
Against the US we lose in a very unfair way. Did it hurt more losing that game than a final that you’ve played? Yes and no. Because at the end, it makes you very angry losing and leaving the World Cup like that. It was a general rage because we have a very competitive locker room. We went to win that game and it didn’t matter who was in front. At the end, we had a feeling of knowing we were getting close because we competed against them. It makes you see that you’re doing things well... But it makes you very angry. Especially after they scored two very unfair penalties. But I don’t know if it’s worse than losing a final!
And frankly, after a few hours or days have gone by, what positive conclusions do you draw for the next Euro? Because I imagine you drew some... Of course... Besides those games give you a lot of growth. We’re a very young National Team that was playing in their second World Cup. Doing it like that is very good and we have to be aware of where we come from and have our feet on the ground. From there, keep going and a lot of ambition. We’re a very ambitious group and we have to do it as best as possible. The World Cup, we take it as experience and now the focus is on qualifying for the Euros.
Well, we leave football, Nahikari. Let’s go with other type of questions. First about your personality... You say you have very bad temper. Yeah... - She laughs -
But that has given you a lot of success. Yes! That too!
And any bad moments? Well, yeah... But because I’m very competitive and I have a lot of character. But you learn from that too, For example, you have to manage how you say things. Sometimes, how I’ve said things hasn’t been in a good way and that has given me more than one conflict that you work out and just leave it at that. But since I got here at 16 years old until now that I’m 22, I’ve always had bad temper. But I think I’ve leanrt to manage it and reduce it!
Beyond fighting, you’ve reiterated a lot that you’re here to learn. What lesson has Nahikari learnt on and off the pitch? Well, I’ve learnt so many things in that way... For example, to believe. My team, last year, taught me to believe. Without a doubt. If you believe in something firmly, you can achieve it. That’s how the Copa de la Reina came. And also, that you always get another chance. And especially as a forward. I stay with that too. There will always be another chance, another game, another moment. You learn many things in football! But this sport has also taught me that it’s the least important thing out of everything that I care about in life. That there’s life after football. You come back home and your family and friends are waiting. You have to give value to all these aspects. I’ve always thought about things too much and I give football a lot of importance... So you have to know to differentiate well and know that you have a life when training or a game ends.
And when you finish training or playing and you leave Zubieta, how is Nahikar’s day when she doesn’t have to go to college either? Well I’m a very calm person. I like being with my family and friends. Go to Donosti and walked around the beach. I also like reading and listening o music. Especially laughing. I like being with people that I love and I love talking! Have interesting conversations and laugh a lot.
I’ve gone through all the questions that I prepared and we’ve talked a little about the injury... Núria. Do you want to ask something? Because it’s raining a lot... We’re not gonna see Donosti much... Did you come to Donosti just for the interview?

Can you guys tell us more about your oracles? Like who they’re romancing? Do you guys have a favorite? ❤️
 We sure can Nonnie 😌
So I’m (this is Admin Nani speaking) gonna list them in order of who came first to the very last one. In total I have 5 MC’s (not all of them are Oracles except the very first one).
So the babies in order of creation are:
Meraris Urbina - She’s human, measures 5′4″, is a Virgo, and her personality alignment is ISTJ. She also has an animal companion named Pili and she is a Potoo bird. She is also half Hebrew and half Colombian and my main (and only actual) oracle. Meraris is romancing Cipactli.
Xochicotzin - She’s a subspecies of elf who are predominantly of Asian decent, measures 5′7″, is a Sagittarius, and her personality alignment is ENFP. She has an animal companion named Kapolin and she is a Mexican Milk Snake. Like previously stated, she is a subspecies of elf and in real life terms her heritage would closely resemble that of Chinese descent. In my story for her she is Cipactli’s sister (making her a princess and also a rebel child™) whom the Empress adopted after finding her thrown in the streets when she was a baby. She is romancing Taqtu.
Saoirse Connolly - She’s human, measures 5′8″, is an Aquarius, and her personality alignment is ISTJ. She has an animal companion named Clover and he is a Bank Vole. She is Irish, my story for her is that she is Xochicotzin’s handmaid. She was brought into the palace as a child after the murder of her parents in Huatzintepec as a means to give the newly orphaned child hospice and a ways to earn her keep. She is romancing Halle.
Gemma Anker - She’s half human and half jötnar, she measures 5′9″, is a Pisces, and her personality alignment is ENFJ. She also has an animal companion named Andromeda and she is a Norwegian Forest Cat. She is of Norse and Italian descent. In my story for her she comes to Huatzintepec searching for answers to her beliefs that were instilled in her at a young age by her parents. Both of them were devout worshippers of the Sun god and she grew up believing like them, however, when her father passes away her faith is shaken. Not knowing what to believe, she seeks her answers in the only thing that she knew. She joins the religious group of Huatzintepec and becomes and apprentice under Seneca. Gemma is romancing Seneca.
Frédérique Parent - She’s human, measures 5′3″, is a Libra, and her personality alignment is ESFJ. She also has an animal companion named Lafayette and he is an Aldabra Giant Tortoise. She is Seychellois. My story for her is that she is part of the human representative group who came as security/bodyguard for Mukondi and Meraris. She a smol but she a tuff Freddie is 5′3″ of pure muscle and sunshine. She is a single mother with a son named Yannick who is four years old, The events that lead to her unplanned pregnancy is what made her so tough physically, but on the inside there are tons of wounds that time and love can heal. She is romancing Ariki.
In terms of “favorite” as of right now I’m starting to add more detail and development to Saoirse’s story so I’m “spending the most time” with her at the moment. In actuality I love all my babies and cannot pick just one. In terms of LI’s Taqtu, Halle, and Cipactli are my favorites.
Admin Yara will soon hop on here and edit to put her babies up for you guys to meet
-Admin Nani
I’m a little late to the party, but here are my children also in order of creation💕:
Queralt al-Kahina: She’s my crafty, romantic & overly emotional oracle and my main oc at the moment. She’s human, 5’3”, Aquarius & INFP. Her country/culture is based on Moroccan Berbers & the Al-Andalus period, and she has a white dove named Núria. Like Meraris, she’ll be romancing Cipactli.
Enkh-Tsetseg: An elf from a clan closely associated with the “human homeland”, she accompanied Queralt & Mukondi to Huatzintepec as their personal bodyguard because she doesn’t trust other humans to keep them safe in an event of that scale. Her culture is based on medieval Mongolia/Mongol Empire era. She’s 6’2”, Leo, ESTP and has a horse that shouldn’t have a name according to tradition, but she calls him Batbayar. She had a brief flirtation situation with Taqtu but in the end she’ll be romancing Ariki (please pray for him).
Odette Cibaraya Guarocuya: She’s a princess from a small kingdom under control of Huatzintepec who was sent to live with the royal family as a child/teenager in an attempt to get her father to stop rebelling against them once and for all (so basically, she’s a hostage, but she’s always been treated well, if not as a part of their family). She’s 5’2”, Pisces, ISFJ & has two pets: Felicitas, a tody & Xicamatl, a white-nosed coati. She’s human (until further notice), and her country is based on West Indian cultures. She’s Halle’s girl.
Tiye-Neferure Meresmaat: She’s a girl from a noble family who was shunned by her stepfather’s family after her mother’s second marriage, and ended up becoming an apprentice of Seneca’s Sun God cult religious group after they took her in. She’s very close to Seneca and trusts his and the cult’s judgement a little to much. Her culture is based on Ancient Egypt under Hyksos rule, she’s 5’6”, Virgo, INFJ & has a Lanner falcon named Wadjet. She’s Taqtu’s emotionally damaged (human??) girlfriend.
Guan Yile: She’s also a noble or royal (I’m noticing a pattern here….) from another empire who was sent to Huatzintepec to hide away while her country went through a terrible war. She was supposed to seek refuge with empress Mizquixaual but decided to wing it and stayed with the Sun God cult instead for the drama of it all. She’s 55”, Gemini, ENFP, human(???), has a pet rabbit named Tiantian & her country is based on Tang Dynasty China. She’s Seneca’s feisty, dramatic, book-smart-but-street-smarts-nonexistent gurl.
I wouldn’t say they’re exactly my favorites, but Queralt & Odette are probably my most developed and the ones I’ve spent the most time on…which just means I have to get the other up to par. As far as LIs, Cipactli & Halle are my favorites (if you were wondering why Queralt & Odette are my most developed ocs….wELL) & maybe Seneca?? I mean, it’s more of an “I can’t stand your gorgeous face, let me smooch you” feeling, but yeah…
(I love Taqtu & Ariki too but…yeah)

Taylor Come Back To Europe Project: Spain’s week.
Hi there!
So, as a little explanation before we start: last January I created on Twitter an account called @Europe _ Loves _ TS in order to try to get Taylor back to Europe. It works this way: each week is dedicated to one different country, this one’s being Spain, and each day I post different stuff about the country, Taylor’s charts there, where she could play and that kind of stuff. I started posting this week because it took me quite a long to finish with all of the preparations but now it has already started, and Day 6 (a.k.a. Tumblr and sign the petition) is about posting everything done on Twitter but on Tumblr, that’s why the texts will be really little. Also, here you have the summary, in case you want to see something first:
Day 1: Where would Taylor play?
Day 2: About the city.
Day 3: Swifties day!
Day 4: Taylor and the city.
Day 5: Conclusion.
Day 6: Tumblr and signing the petition.
Day 7 (does not appear in here): New country announcement.
Here you have the petition’s link https://www.change.org/p/ticketmaster-taylor-swift-european-tour?recruiter=931350637&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition , just in case you want to help us.
And the first country of the week will be... 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻!

“I started to be a Swiftie by the end of the RED era, when I saw the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” video, by the end of 2013 (yes, I know that I saw the video a bit late). I don’t know why but I realized that Taylor is the only one that can help me with my depression (unfortunately I suffer a lot of depression) and put a huge smile on my face just with her songs. She means the entire world to me. While I was studying in high school, I worked as a teacher for another students, and I started saving money to be able to go one day to any Taylor’s concert. And finally, after two years of saving money, on November 29 2017 (the day after my birthday), I bought two tickets for the “reputation Stadium Tour” in London, one for me and one for my sister. After seven months the day finally came and I traveled from Spain to London just to see Taylor for the first time. That was my first concert. That day I realized that Taylor is a real angel, and that she is always going to be there for us. And also I’m so grateful since because of her I met a lot of new friends. My dream is to one day be able to hug her and tell her how much she helped me, and also I would ask her if she could draw a thirteen on my ankle, because I always wanted to get a thirteen tattooed on my body. Thank you for reading this.”

“I’m not good at English but I’ll try. I was always bullied, had no real friends so I never went out with people and stuff like that. When I was 14 I sit in class next to a redhead called Claudia and she played me “Tim McGraw”. I started listening to the song at home and soon enough I was addicted to Taylor Swift. Taylor was here when the first boy broke my heart, I don't know how many times I played “Should’ve Said No” during that time. Taylor was there when people called me slut and bitch, telling me that they were just “Mean”. Taylor was there at my spinal surgery, I played “Speak Now” in the hospital every day. Taylor was there while my depression and my self-harm problems. Taylor was there when my (ex)boyfriend broke up with me on my birthday... That year she recorded RED and “All Too Well” made me cry every day, but it also made me stronger. My dad left and only Taylor knew how I wanted him to “Come back” and “Be here...”. He started a new family without me, obviously. 1989 was my very first Taylor’s show in Germany, Köln, whit my mom. We had so much fun. Some economic problems started and I had to work while studying my nurse degree. I saved a lot and I went to “reputation Stadium Tour” in Dublin with my mom. Andrea gave us rep room passes and I showed her my “fighter” tattoo. She knows my story now. I hugged Taylor and somehow that was everything.”
-Clàudia, 23 years, Spain (@alltoo_swift on Twitter).
“When I was 12 (in 2009), one day I was watching Disney Channel and the “Love Story” mv came on. I just fell in love! Me and another friend started listening to more and more of her songs and we were really crazy about it! We were always singing her songs, laughing and dancing. We planned on going to her shows and meet her.”
-Sara, Spain (@EverySwiftieDay on Twitter).
“I haven’t been part of this fandom for a long time, at least compared with half of it. At the beginning, it made me feel uncomfortable, as if I wasn’t worthy of all the joy this family brings. Now, though, I’ve realized that this big family welcomes everyone, and I feel confident to tell my story. I have this weird “ritual” of walking from side to side of my corridor while listening to music, and that’s how I started listening to her music, back in 2017, with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “You Belong With Me”. I knew who she was, but I couldn’t consider myself a Swiftie, not yet. And then, “Look What You Made Me Do” came, and I wasn’t ready for that. I just clicked on it because I was curious, but once I heard it I stopped walking in the middle of the corridor, my phone in my hand, my eyes wide open, freaking out. I didn’t get all the references, but I knew some of them, and when the phone part arrived... I went to my mom running and told her all about it, and she was like “Since when are you a huge Taylor Swift fan?”. Days passed, “...Ready For It?” and the album came and I loved them too, and the “reputation Stadium Tour” began, and I really wanted to go. She didn’t come to Spain, so I knew I had to figure out a way to go to London. I made a presentation to my dad, with all of the prices, hotels and transportations, and he incredibly said yes. I remember that night as the best night of my life, and I can’t explain how happy and free and loved I felt there. I saw Taylor Swift’s magic happening in front of me, and I will be forever grateful for that.”
-Núria, 16 years, Spain (@TaysPurrito on Twitter and on Tumblr because yes, that is me).

𝕿𝖆𝖞𝖑𝖔𝖗 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖎𝖙𝖞:
Taylor's albums are still breaking records on the country. "reputation" debuted at #3 on the Spanish Albums Top 100 list, and has been there for 17 weeks, and "1989" debuted at #4 and stayed 70 weeks.
𝕿𝖆𝖞𝖑𝖔𝖗 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖎𝖙𝖞:
Taylor has a big importance on the country, and the only show she has played there was for the "Speak Now World Tour" at Madrid, on the WiZink Center and had all 3,962 seats occupied.
𝕿𝖆𝖞𝖑𝖔𝖗 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖎𝖙𝖞:
Spain has a very big Swiftie fan base. Its biggest fan account, @rincondetaylor on Twitter, counts with over 12.3K followers, still growing. When she came, she sold out, and the fandom wasn't as big as it is now.
Tumblr media
𝕮𝖔𝖓𝖈𝖑𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓:
Spain is an amazing country, with big stadiums for Taylor to play and her presence still very active on the radios of the country. Although she hasn't come back since the "Speak Now World Tour", she is still breaking records.
𝕮𝖔𝖓𝖈𝖑𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓:
Also, Barcelona and Madrid are the best places to host the show, not only because they have the enough capacity to but also because of the easiness to go to both of the places.
𝕮𝖔𝖓𝖈𝖑𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓:
I just wanted to thank every single person (especially @EverySwiftieDay on Twitter) who has helped with this week's challenge. You are all amazing, and one of the most supportive parts of it all. Thank you so so much. Os quiero.

I would recommedn you to check it, since the stuff will be posted there before and the new country announcement is tomorrow.
Thank you so much again!!
