A damn shame indeed. This beautiful and iconic mural by Marianne Di Napoli-Mylet is no more. Now it's just a plan-old black wall. Here's what she had to say about it: "RIP - Tree at Last.... 2010 - 2019 created with over 150 participants during the 2009 "Summer on Trade" concert series. The "hidden pictures" depicted the history of the Art District and was a memorial to Kelly Petersen, a founder of DADA who died (too soon) in 2009. The foliage of many colors was made using hand prints from the community and also included a dog's paw print and a newborn's foot print. The roots spelled LOVE." However, and here is the saddest part. Apparently there were a lot of people in this town who hated this mural and were glad to see it go. Well, I hope they are happy. As for the folks who supported Marianne Di Napoli-Mylet and were disappointed to see it go, many thanks to them. Lastly, I would like to thank Marianne Di Napoli-Mylet for her efforts and artwork.
