the last 2 months have been so brutal. I love my granny more than life itself. we know we’re on borrowed time but knowing that the time is coming sooner than you thought is so painful. So sad.

I’m so thankful for the life I’ve had with her. my sweet granny, my girl. No matter how much time is left, I want her to experience so much love, peace, and contentment. She has helped so many people in her lifetime without hesitation.

I strive to be even just a piece of the woman that she is.

Today we celebrated 80 years of this one, my Granny’s life ahead of her upcoming birthday on Monday. It was a surprise party and she was indeed surprised. So once again its #Fall y’all & I am definitely not loving it! It’s been sometime since I wrote my last blog post & let me tell you sooooo much has changed!

Where do I begin, I am currently preparing for my divorce from my husband. We have known each other for almost 15 years and after 5 years of marriage....I had to go. We have been separated for almost 3 years now. Co-parenting has been a learning experience. 

I relocated to SC, Columbia to be exact. I have been able to explore new business opportunities, new scenery & fell in love again. All of that is all good.  However there are some tragedies speckled over the past few years!

I had to close my other business (Assistants At A Distance) because I fell on hard times financially, I had a car it got repossessed once.....and then the engine blew & even though I paid for the extended warranty they still didn’t fix it and I still have no car. I lost my house after my husband & I emptied his 401k trying to keep it. The reality is that we couldn’t afford to pay for daycare so we could both work. 

And then on top of all that my girl, my best friend, my rock, the glue that has held my family together for as long as I have been alive, Mary Lee ( my granny), passed away one day while I was at work. Before I made it home to my family.... I knew! I felt like she stopped by to tell me she was leaving and that she was alright. She told me that she was going to be with my Uncle Rick. Knowing didn’t make it any easier, Cut me deep! 

Now here I am pulling my life together everyday I learning about life as a co-parent, cleaning up business debt, enjoying my new relationship and learning from the mistakes I made in my past business. Join me as I embark on this journey as a work in progress & a masterpiece!
