Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor will star in a love story from Maddock Films.

It appears that both producer Dinesh Vijan and actor Siddharth Malhotra are searching for a change of pace. Vijan has made a name for himself in the comedy-horror genre with Stree 2 and Munjya, while Sidharth Malhotra has struggled with action.

Sidharth Malhotra has had enough of action for the time being. After Yodha, he left another action picture, Mitti, and signed a love story with producer Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films. Tushar Jalota, who directed Abhishek Bachchan in Dasvi, will direct the untitled project, which will also star Janhvi Kapoor. This is Malhotra's first collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor, who received positive reviews for her two films released this year, Mr & Mrs Mahi and Ulajh.

Sidharth Malhotra has recently been going through a difficult period in his profession. Hopefully, Janhvi and Malhotra will be lucky for each other. Siddharth Malhotra has recently had limited success at the box office. Even his much-anticipated OTT debut, Indian Police Force, was underwhelming. To be honest, Malhotra's only true hits to date have been his breakthrough film Student Of The Year, Ek Villain, and Shershaah. In the latter, he starred alongside his future wife, Kiara Advani. Kiara's marriage appears to have worked out well. Her first post-marriage movie, Satyaprem Ki Katha, was a tremendous smash, but she also signed some of her career's biggest films, like Don 3 after marriage.
