ASK THE MUN ABOUT THEIR WRITING!  - not accepting (Beneath the cut because this got very ranty and rambly
8. How has roleplaying, specifically, impacted yourlife?
                   {I’ve learned a lot from the characters I play. The way I roleplay, it’s hard for me to not think about them in the day-to-day. When faced with ethical choices, I think about what my character would do - and frequently do the opposite since I have a villainous taste in muses. It’s also helped my acting, since I’m so used to thinking about nuances, characters come together very naturally.}
12. Isthere a quote from a piece of literature that holds great value to you? What isit and why is it important to you?
                     {There’s a lot of them but I’m feelin real fricking sassy today so I’m gonna pick this one.
         “These beings belonged to that bastard class composed of coarse people who have been successful, and of intelligent people who have descended in the scale, which is between the class called "middle" and the class denominated as "inferior," and which combines some of the defects of the second with nearly all the vices of the first, without possessing the generous impulse of the workingman nor the honest order of the bourgeois.“
                          I have a very odd, complicated relationship with Les Miserables, both the book and the musical. I actually read the book before I saw the musical or movie for a book report in my sophomore year of high school and subsequently a lot of it was blur until I reread it several years later. This is how Monsieur and Madame Thenardier are introduced to us and it is so very, very Hugo. It’s also the way a lot of my peers in school look at me.
                          I go to a private Catholic university (no I’m not catholic, nor am I anti-catholic, blah blah blah) on a loooooooooooooot of scholarship money. Basically I pay less tuition here than I would at a public school, and the education is great for me. That said, a lot of kids around me come from a lot of very old money, and though we’re primarily a liberal school (nothin wrong with that), i don’t fit into their definition of poor so I’m neither pitied nor am I one of them.
                         It’s not something to write home about, nor any real point of adversity, but there’ll be points where I’ll say “Hey guys, can we go somewhere cheap to eat for lunch today, I’m kinda broke” and mean I’ve got exactly six dollars in my bank account, they’ll agree, and we somehow end up in a gastropub where everything is 15-20 dollars. And when I ask how that happened, they’ll go “Yeah I know this is cheap, we’re broke too”
                         It’s that kinda thing. So even though I’m much better off than a lot of people and I’m very grateful for that, I relate to this judgement of the Thenardiers. Even if they’re villians (and in the book they’re villians because they’re lower middle class don’t even get me started), I get them better than I get the rich college kids in the book and the world around me}
20. Who are your top three favorite fictionalcharacters and why?
                  {This is such a mean questionnnnnnnnnn how am I supposed to choose between my children? ;w;
                   -deep breath- Okay, the first one I’m gonna list are Madame and Monsieur Thenardier whO I’M COUNTING AS ONE CAUSE THEY’RE TWO HALVES OF THE SAME WHOLE FIGHT ME. As mentioned above, weird relationship with les miz. I got into the musical after a really bad breakup - the kind which required me to call the cops - so Marius, Cosette, and Eponine held no appeal to me at all.
                   I love the honor-among-thieves archetype, and I love the two-halves of the same whole one as well. basically, these two are the best combination of my favorite tropes and got played by SBC and HBC in the hollywood remake so yas
                   Second one is Nympathodra Tonks, who was one of my first cosplays. She and her Auntie Bellatrix are the ones who gave me self-confidence in high school and I can’t think of HP without thinking of her
                    Thirdly is Nancy Sikes who I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Obviously I love thieves and pickpockets and doxies and you don’t know how many hours I spend researching this time period, but even more importantly, Nancy is the only female character Dickens ever wrote who actually feels like a person to me. Yes, she’s dramatized to an extent, but her motives are so real, she goes back and forth between her decisions, she’s frightened but so brave and just argh
                       More nancies please we need them

                         {{I’m in a really weird mood tonight and yes I should absolutely be doing drafts but whateverrrrrrrrrr
                        So I’m gonna tell you all what Alice means to me, Cause I don’t get a lot of chances to do so (because of the character I play) and also because I was just staring at the Alice Madness Returns cover and got really nostalgic.}}
                        As some of you may know, I’m not actually a Disney fan. Mostly this is because, with the exception of a few movies, I didn’t grow up with it. Despite being born during the Disney renaissance; I’ve never seen anything animated that wasn’t Pixar that was produced after 1990 because my parents didn’t go to the movies much. The only Disney VHS tapes I really remember watching are Peter Pan, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice in Wonderland. I know from family friends that I had more than that, but those are the only ones I remember. Mostly, because my mom’s parents were immigrants and my dad was, well, a guy who didn’t really grow up with Disney either because he grew up in the era dominated by classic Disney princesses, I had a bunch of old Russian fairy tale VHS’s, PBS Kids, and this series called Redwall which was the bomb.com and if you say anything else I will fucking fight you.
                      So as I said, Alice in Wonderland was one of my absolute favorites. For my hommies who remember tapes, I played it out so badly that we owned two when I was a kid since I burned out the first one. I loved Alice, the Hatter, Bill the Lizard, the King of Hearts, and unsurprisingly, most of all, the Queen. My mom has pictures of me curtsying to the screen because she came on screen and – according to the quote my mom refuses to take down from the fridge – that’s proper manners.
                    Fast forward to the 2010 Alice. I was at the end of my hellish seventh year with my friend/notafriend fellow outcast. She was a nice girl but the kind who never stopped talking, and we went to see it with her family at a dine-in-theatre which meant I heard nothing and didn’t understand a damn thing. Naturally, because of the negative association, I absolutely hated it.
                   A few months later, I was getting into roleplay and met a Tarrant back on Youtube (Boy anyone remember that?) and decided to watch it again cause hell why not? I was at my grandmother’s for a while cause Summer vacation and she let me watch it on demand cause it was 99 cents on her cable plan
                 This time I liked it a lot more, though I still wasn’t enthralled with anyone except Mally – I loved her then and still do now. I can’t really remember when I started loving raccie the way I do now, except that it took a while. I frequently say that Raccie reminds me of myself when I was about 13 and I stand by that – maybe I needed the perspective on life to really accept and love her.
                  My senior year of high school, I got really, really into Alice again. Senior year was just so surreal, I couldn’t really explain it. I kinda knew where I was going to school but not really, I kinda knew what I was gonna graduate with but not really, my friends were the weirdest ( and closest) they’d ever been in my entire life, a lot of stuff happened at once. It wasn’t a good year for me but it also wasn’t bad. In other words, it was a perfect time for Alice. I’d actually gotten a copy of Madness Returns for my 15th birthday, but the computer I had at the time couldn’t run it, but I finally got a laptop as an early graduation present (for college mostly) that I could play it on, and I downloaded the og soundtrack. My 18th birthday party was classy wonderland themed (If I could tell you how much I baked for that goddamn party fam…). I distinctly remember that year being the year of the Caucus Race song.
                      And long story short, Alice never really left me. It means a good deal to me, in all its incarnations, and I’ve always found things to love about damn near every adaptation (porno notwithstanding)
                      This probably doesn’t mean anything to anyone but me, but I felt like spilling my guts and getting it out there. If you got this far just know that I love you and I hope you have something that means as much to you as Alice does to me.

{So I’ve got a sims 3 game running for Oleron, Elsemere, child Raccie and toddler miri that I sometimes keep running when I do drafts but I don’t trust them enough to keep child protective services from getting the kiddos because every time I check back in, Miri’s half starved and Raccie’s relationshp with her parents has gone down again}

7, 15, & 18 for mun writing questions
ASK THE MUN ABOUT THEIR WRITING!  - not accepting
7. How do you handle the toxicity sometimes foundin the roleplaying community, particularly in fandoms?`
             {I’ve been lucky enough to generally not be in awful situations like some people have, since my fandoms are pretty small and everyone knows everyone else. That said, when I have been subject to overall ickiness I tend to ignore it or take a break. Roleplaying is a past-time, and if I really wanted to listen to bitching I’d sit in the hallway of my dorm.}
15. Whatdo you typically look for in a roleplay partner?
               {A lot of communication is always important to me - instant messaging on tumblr is a life saver. Ultimately though, for a roleplay partner, our muses do have to click on some level. We can absolutely still be friends otherwise but if the muses can’t find a way to have a meaningful interaction I can’t keep hurling myself at it}
18.Whatmade you want to join the roleplaying community?
                {Reallllllllllllly embarassing storytime here. I got into it by accident - and by that I mean I literally didn’t understand what roleplaying was. I started on youtube back in good old 2010~2011 when that was still a thing, and I genuinelly thought someone was bullying someone else.
                  Nah. It was a roleplay. I’m literally blushing typing this up.
                  Anyway, they kindly explained to stupid twelve-year-old-me that they were just playing pretend and I got sucked into it and well
                                Here we are, and I couldn’t be happier}

The Fool. The World.
PUT A TAROT CARD IN MY INBOX AND I'LL ANSWER THE QUESTION!- Not accepting
THE FOOL: What is the stupidest thing your muse has ever done?
                Having her husband executed, honestly. The two were made for each other, and he was the only one consistently able to keep a cool head. But then, of course, she knows this. She’s in active denial about it, but she knows it.
THE WORLD: What has been your muse's greatest success?
                 The victory of the War of the West. I really need to expand on this sometime, but a few years after her parents had passed and Iracebeth was new on the throne (having had Mirana surrender the title with a mixture of threats, logic, and fear), the country to the West attempted an invasion of Wonderland. With a military force of only the Card Guard she had created and the might of the Jabberwock, Underlandian forces not only won the war but expanded their might into half of the offending country

1, 19, and 37, pretty please
The excessively detailed headcanon meme - not accepting
1. What does their bedroom look like?
         She keeps her bedroom fairly sparse, actually, and confines the mess to her study. There’re a few chairs and ottomans by the fireplace, an open balcony since Salazen Grum becomes so hot during the day, a four-poster, canopied bed. The walls are papered in red and gold, but it would be difficult to tell from the portraits and framed diagrams which dot it. Once the maids have had their way with it, one wouldn’t believe one lived there at all.
19. What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
            It’s a swirling vortex of anxieties - her children’s wellfare, the state of the kingdom, taxes, possible scale rot on the Jabberwock. Everything eats at her until she can finally settle herself into her lover’s arms and focus on his breathing. When sleeping with Acheo, she sleeps best, since she’ll watch his dreams as a distraction until she drifts off.
37. What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
            Caring for the menagerie’s always good for upset Raccies. There’s something methodical about brushing out a jubjub bird’s feathers or filing down an excuberent bandersnatch’s claws so it stops maiming its siblings. Researching can scratch the same itch - essentially anything which keeps her away from people.

The Fool, the Magician, and the Tower, please and thank you
The Fool: Answered this one
The Magician: What would your muse draw if given paper and markers?
                 She’d probably sketch out a biological diagram of whatever was closest. She’s not artistic, so to speak - not creative at all in the traditional sense. But she’s always enjoyed studying creatures from life, be they bullfrogs (being paid a bit more than usual to pose), rockinghorseflies, or enormous beasts of legend.
The Tower: What event would trigger your muse's breaking point?
                  Iracebeth in any verse cannot tolerate her children dying. Even though her relationships with them are often strained and difficult, she wants the best for them, and that they be safe and sound. Receiving news that Rexoliver had died at sea or Konradarmin passed from the pox would probably send her into a spiral of anxiety and/or depression and well...
                   I don’t dive into it often.

💌: how would my muse go about confessing to someone they liked? would they do it indirectly or directly, or maybe not at all? 💟: what are three traits that my muse looks for in a partner?
Heart meme - Not accepting
💌: how would my muse go about confessing to someone they liked?would they do it indirectly or directly, or maybe not at all?
              Honestly, Raccie tries to hide it for as long as humanly possible. Unfortunatley, she’s very impatient so she rarely lasts more than a week without an extremely awkward, unfortuante, accidental declaration of love.
💟: what are three traits that my muse looks for in a partner?
              Height, Confidence, and Acceptance. She’s actually not picky, so long as they dare to approach her. She kinda falls in love easily, which is unfortuante both for her and for those she falls in love with. The exception is, of course, Acheo, who managed to surprise her and keep her for so many decades.
