Vertical Form Fill & Seal Machine | Upack India
A Vertical Form Fill & Seal Machine is an endokers-style machine that draws a polymer film, forms it into a bag, fills it with products, and puts a seal across the mouth, arranged vertically. This machine is suitable for use with various products, where they may be packed food stuffs, medical goods, and manufactured goods. It works through creating from the film a tube which they fill with the product and cap the base and the mouth of the sack. Despite being small in size, it can be easily mounted and because of its fast operation and precision it would be of immense benefit to manufacturers who want to up their packaging line.

What to Look For in a Powder Filling Machine
If you are thinking of buying a powder filling machine, you may be wondering what to look for. Here are some factors to consider: capacity, servo and features. Read on to learn more about these machines. They are useful in a variety of applications. A powder filling machine is a vital piece of equipment for the manufacturing process as it can save you a lot of time and money. But which machine is right for you?
Features of a Powder Filling Machine
When choosing a powder filling machine, consider the features that are most important to you. These include the size, weight and particle characteristics of the dust. These factors will determine the type of machine that will work best for your needs. Read on to learn more about some of the most important features. You should also look for safety features and ease of operation. Once you have determined the size and type of machine you need, you will be able to choose a quality machine that meets your requirements.
The size of the filling head and the amount of material to be filled will affect the type of powder filling machine you choose. There are machines that can handle large and small containers, and some are specially made for both. Although they may be more expensive, they will provide better results than cheaper machines. Also, look for dosing systems that can handle different powder sizes and weights. They should also be able to handle various shapes and weights of powder.
Types of Machines
Powder filling machines can be used in many applications. It is necessary to properly maintain these machines so that they can perform their functions efficiently. Improper maintenance of a machine can lead to downtime and inefficiency. With proper maintenance, you can expect your machine to operate efficiently for many years. The following tips will help you maintain your machines and extend their life. Listed below are some of the more common types of machines and how they differ from each other.
Drill Type Powder Filling Machines. These machines are capable of filling various types of food and beverages. They have a feed port where powder products are placed. They are typically designed to work with a range of powder products, including liquids and granules. The augers can be adjusted to fill containers of different sizes, from sachets to bottles. Some of these machines have an overflow collector. The mainframe heads protect the machine from damage and are positioned in a balanced manner.
Capacity
Buying a powder filling machine will require you to know the characteristics of the powder you will be filling. Dust characterization includes its characteristics, properties and uses. In some regions, the CCC mark is a mandatory safety mark. Choosing the capacity of a machine based on your needs will ensure that you don't go over your budget. A good machine should be able to hold the volume of product you need.
The size of your machine will depend on how much powder you plan to fill in a single shot. This is important because a small machine may have limited capacity and be difficult to use effectively. You should also choose a machine that has a high output rate. In addition, you should choose a machine made of stainless steel to avoid any corrosion problems. You should also consider its accuracy.
Servo Motor
The servo motor is a common component of a powder filling machine. They can be single or multi-lane filler sticks, requiring individual servo motors in each filler lane. These motors offer high levels of precision and allow individual adjustment of the filling strips. Turpack, a leading powder filling machine manufacturer, uses Kollmorgen or Siemens servo motors for their machine designs.
All-Fill used a servo motor for the first time to control semi-automatic screw filling machines. Servo motors have continued to evolve as the most accurate method of filling. They started with the B-SV-400 model. Since then, they have gone through several adaptations, including the B-SV-600 and SHA-SV-600. Today, the servo motor filling machine is available in many models, including B-SV-600 and DHA-SV-600.
cGMP compliance
A powder filling machine should be certified as cGMP compliant and must meet GMP standards. This is important for powder and capsule encapsulation and also means that all materials used in the machine must be FDA approved. The machine must also have an automated cleaning system and the manufacturer must have all the documentation for their specific equipment. It is best to find a machine that is certified as cGMP compliant and provides documentation.
If you are looking for a cGMP compliant powder filling machine, you have many options. You can choose a single or dual wheel model, with performance ranging from 60 VPM to 200 VPM. There are also vacuum driven powder wheels that can achieve more filling accuracy. A powder filling machine can also fill between 50 and 1500 mg in a single dose. RMRO 1: Narrative Campaign Conclusions
Possession is Right.
Giltharc Mahlage brooded on the bridge of the Barbed Lance; this delivery run was beneath his warrior status but his orders were clear. The Jamisahra conflict had reminded him of the joy to be found in the destruction of his unenlightened brethren and he longed to take to the warp lanes to hunt for the loyalist fleets. But, instead, he was sent deep into fringe space to meet with spineless tech magi and endure their chittered slights.
He had his instructions and, whether he liked them or not, he would not deny the will of the Warmaster, though rumours among the brethren suggested the Blighted Ones had been less free with the battle’s spoils than they had claimed to be. An insult that he would not have brooked and, had he been given the chance, he would have been happy to test the legendary endurance of their rotten hides, slice by carving slice.
His war leader approached with a deferential nod to announce the completion of the jump preparations. With a curt sweep of his hand, Mahlage gave the instruction to breach and the Barbed Lance lurched. A scream of systems and it burst forward to leave the warp.
---
Violence is Inevitable.
Jamisahra Rex, sated for now, pulled at the dark matter clouds surrounding it and sunk back beneath the surface of the real-space into the cracks beyond perception, a brief oily sheen across space the only sign of its passing. The most recent battles fought upon it left a few more scars on the planet’s surface and a new scattering of wreckage and detritus was added to the relics of past struggles, a promising lure to other would-be plunderers.
Far from where Jamisahra Rex now returned to the depths of space, Taegreal Huilsman swept her long quintisexed fingers over the command console of the Tower of Infinity. Departure from Jamisahra orbit had been without incident or discovery by the forces that had clashed on the planet. With the clutter of fleets and sub-orbital traffic, such actions had been easily accomplished but the grace of the act held a charm to her, the ark recovered by her salvage teams now secure in the holds of the Tower.
It had been a brief concern that those disparate forces who had gathered on the now departed planet might have tried to discover the nature of the place and in so doing come into conflict with her own plans. However, any such concern was quickly dismissed as the baser drives of greed and fear had overridden anything else and the forces had ground themselves against each other in violent indulgence was predictably pleasing.
That the nature of the universe tended inescapably towards violence and the ignorance of this had been the greatest failing of the Jamisahrian Conclaves she reflected. To attempt to deny such had taken them into conflict with a universal law and ultimately they had succumbed to that truth. Even the high-and-mighty Aeldari made no pretence at denying such and their self-declared cultural advancement was all too readily ignored when the call to war came.
Now, with the combatants’ fleets departed, the Tower of Infinity slid like a knife through the veil of the immaterium, bound back to the outer rim.
---
Faith and Creeds.
Even the muscle-bound gene-pumped slaves struggled beneath the weight of the archeotech data node, their actions co-ordinated by the neural lash binding them together and they slowly moved the heavy item down the loading ramp from the Cargo-lighter. The traitor marine champion watched with disinterest. Despite their obvious strength, they would be worthless as opponents, their eyes blank and unspirited. The soulness autonomy was an insult to the ruinous forces that they both claimed to serve. Another reason to distrust the Magi.
The unloading of both the cargo and the slave payment was taking longer than his limited patience tolerated and he had become sure that the methodical inspection and cataloguing of each huddled slave was a deliberate insult to him. They were meat and fuel for the Magi’s works - why waste time on them unless it was just to goad the heretic champion.
Mahlage caught sight of a Magi overseer and moved towards it, shoving the crowded slaves and attendants aside, his brute armour and careless strength leaving injury and disorder in his wake.
Reaching the bridge, he forced a group of attendants picting and auspexing one of the nodes out of his way, an armoured shoulder knocking them into the path of a nearby hauling team, the disturbance causing them to stagger under their load and the archeotech machine landed with a heavy crash.
The overseer rounded at the sound, rearing up on its tendrils as it slithered toward Mahlage, its chittered displeasure rattling the bimetallic scales that ringed its head. Before it could confront him, however, both their attentions were caught by cries from the main walkway.
Attendants and constructs recoiled back from the shimmering silver-blue field now emanating from the fallen device. A gene-slave too slow-witted to comprehend what was happening held up its hand as the flesh turned first to silvered-green then evaporated into motes of light, its body toppling forward on disintegrating legs.
The overseer hissed in interest and its metallic multitude of eyes clicked open, its eager curiosity a distorted mirror to the stims and aggression enhancers that had flooded Mahlage’s body at the first cries of alarm. As the field dimmed and faded, the traitor marine fought down his desires to vent his hyper-adrenaline, to crush and break the cowering figures around him. Mahlage snarled his frustration at the still clicking Overseer “The Four damn your prying, Magos. The Warmaster Abbadon requires only that your Masters unlock these cryptographs. Beyond that, keep your spying and meddling ways to your toys.”
With an unreadable shrug, the changed-man-thing turned its attention from the scene beyond to the hulking traitor marine. Its many mouths of grafted flesh started with a medley of musically tuned voices and the thing spoke “Well do I know what is required of me and well will I see it done. Perhaps you had better concern yourself with your own conduct than mine.”
“Flesh-puppet” hissed Mahlage, sensing the greater intelligence behind the overseer’s visage. The perverse nature of the grafted-construct replaced Mahlage’s anger with disgust at the thought of how weak a being would be to not to trust itself to a single body.
“I care not for your views abomination. Get my cargo unloaded before the hour is out or I will be leaving whether you are done or not and the void may take the rest of your payment,” and, with that, he turned his back on the freak to stalk back to his shuttle-barge.

+++Datapacket - For attention of Ordos Council Review+++
Traffic through local system interviewed and correlated with transit records. Master of the Winter Rain (RT) reported Space Wolf Strike Cruiser seen beyond of Pargarlis System approaches. Ship showing signs of action and making rapid speed to translation point. Reports the vessel avoided interdiction with two Naval pickets.
Deep Space Auger Prospecting Vessel (Mae of Dorcal) two months out of Minal Monjan recorded encountering an aggressive Astartes vessel of unknown type, from description believed to be some type of fleet destroyer or cruiser, vessel closed with the prospecting vessel and subjected it to several high-intensity auspex scans before departing. No hails were responded to and no tracking ID was displayed. Some crew members of the Mae of Dorcal considered the vessel may have belonged to Blood Angels Chapter.
Agent operating from the Naval Station at Ventora Redoubt recorded dispatch of three merchantmen and escorts to resupply two Ultramarine Chapter Destroyers and a Strike Cruiser. All took on significant quantities of fuel and ammunitions as part of Astartes support tithe allotment.
It is the observation of this office that several Astartes Chapter Forces have been engaged in an unannounced operation in the Eastern Fringe.
Reports of potential Prime-Xenos sighting only add to the suspicion in this regard.
It is requested of the council that resources are granted to fund an expedition into the Eastern Fringe in search of evidence of this occurrence.

Consideration.
The Magos Viscarm Hebac pulled their mind away from the vision of the Overseer drone where far below the Arch-Traitor’s ships unloaded their cargos of slaves straight into the manufactorum pits of the Labyrinth Factory.
The items brought by the Arch-Traitor’s lackeys were more intriguing than they had been lead to believe and they wished they had a chance to study the source. However, the envoys had been suspiciously coy about the cargo.
The accident with the energy field had only piqued their curiosity. Whilst the Mago’s serpentine body reclined against the throne, one set of their limbs idly plucked the living strings of a digital-harp, melodious scrap-code filling both the air and ethereal-networks with several multi-layered tunes at once.
Viscarm gestured a beautiful creature forward, a perfect mix on xenos birds and truly deific human features seamless blended, and from the tubes on the construct’s back called for a mix of injectors. A gilded plate on the front of the Magos’s metal skin slid open so a thick-veined tentacle could extend out, the construct stabbing in multiple injectors at once and pumping hybrid-narcotics directly into the bloodstream.
Viscarm recoiled the twitching fleshy-tendril and relaxed its form. The chemical storm roared through their senses and, in the forward part of their mind, they compartmentalised the raging stimulated emotions and began to truly think on the matter of what the Arch-traitor was engaged in.
---
A New Chapter.
Toris Geldmene was bent by life and dour by choice, but it was generosity on his part, he considered, that he rarely subjected his fellow man to his moods. Particularly today he was in a filthy humour and drove his plain-crawler aggressively, letting the big machine's suspension take the worst of the bumps out of the rough terrain that he chose not to avoid.
Five hound servitors down in one day was all the luck he needed for a trip that had born out little profit for the scrapper and he was loathed to head back to Hackdotters Reach for lack of survey beasts.
Reaching the last signal ping from the alpha-servitor, he found a broken hillside brought down by the rains at the start of the Storming no-doubt. Engaging the brakes and throwing the big machine out of gear, the plain-crawler lurched to stop just short of the fall. The lights on the rig did little to reach down into the gloom of the fallen hillside below. Pulling his coat closed and grabbing the heavy-naval slugger off the dashboard, Geldmene twisted the hatch release and let the freezing wind and blown ice-crystals into the cab.
Below the ridge-line, the wind was lessened at least but it was still bitterly cold. Geldmene’s hat-lume cast a strong enough light to render the tumble of rocks and soils in sharp contrast, long shadows dancing with his swinging head as he clambered down. Glancing at his wrist auspex, he peered in the direction of the servitor’s survival beacon and tried to see the beast up ahead. The ‘spex suggest all five were close together and the unlikeliness of this had raised a caution in him. An accident was unlikely to disable all five and, though it was early in the season for Darthooths to be waking from their hibernation, he was glad of the navy-special.
Rounding a slew of boulders, he found the first hound-servitor stood on the lip of a large, deep depression. Its sensored head hung limply down, though it remained standing upright. Ten yards to the right he saw the second.
Geldmene whistled the activation signal and swore when neither machines stirred. That shit-eating son of a mutant at Hackdotters and his bloody power-cells! Claimed they were guard cast-offs but they were rotten as a Pugdat carcass at the Long-Days. Geldmene clenched the pistol in his big hand and imagined it was the slimy merchant’s neck. A wasted trip for no profit and now he’d have to haul the servitors back up the fall if he didn’t want to lose them too.
With a shout of frustration he brought his boot up and half stamped, half kicked the nearest-hound servitor, toppling it sideways and down the slope of the depression. Geldmene swore again, tucking the naval pistol into his coat and regretting his anger - now he’d have to pull the damned hound out the pit in front of him. Kneeling, he looked down into the depression and cast the torchlight back and forth, hoping it hadn’t rolled too far. The light from the head-lume played over the broken surface below until it lit upon something that wasn’t the hound. Standing, Geldmene knew he didn’t have to worry about a wasted trip anymore. ---
At What Price Comes Loyalty.
The Magos was glad to be free of the traitor marines. While petty emotions were beyond it by millenia, the marines’ ignorance and brutality were harmful to the efficiency of the Labyrinth Factory. This deal would serve the Cabal well - the payment alone was sufficient to maintain operations for several cycles and chance to maintain good relations with the Legion Lords was always advantageous. However, the cyptographs were more interesting still. Their origins were clearly of no current maker and, though advanced, bore signs of human origin.
In the centre of the chamber, twelve perfectly formed humans stood stock-still, supporting a massive metal-bound book. The Magos gestured to the hybrid beast that perched at the book’s spine and with long translucent fingers it began to turn the pages.
As the pages turned, Viscarm's multitude of eyes scanned over the details, pulling code-packets from data-illuminations and reading wealths of information beyond what an unmodified human could ever comprehend, flicked gestures to the page-turner moving back and forth through the pages. Releasing a static hiss, the Magos found what it sought and lay its mechandrite onto the entry of the Jamisahran Cataclysm.
The good graces of the Legion Lords were one thing, but at what point did the rewards warrant some level of betrayal? The Lord of the Black Legion no-doubt had his own servants seeking answers and would be on guard for some degree of disobedience from the Mechanii. And yet… there was potential here for gains beyond even what the Warmaster might suspect...

WHY NICHROME FOR MILK POWDER PACKAGING
About milk powder
Milk powder is made by converting liquid milk into a dry product that can be stored without substantial loss of quality. There are four main types of milk powder: dairy whitener, skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder and baby food powder.
Milk powder production involves the removal of water from milk solids. The final product is easily transportable, small in volume and has a significantly longer shelf-life than pasteurised liquid milk. The removal of water is achieved via three steps: milk treatment, evaporation and spray drying or roller drying. The milk is concentrated approximately 10-fold to form a powder.
Milk powders are used by consumers as a substitute for fresh milk, and as ingredients for the manufacture of a wide range of processed food products such as confectionaries, infant formulas, nutritional foods, ice creams, yogurts, chocolate, bakery products, soups, sauces, etc.
Milk powder packaging with Nichrome
Milk powder packaging is crucial because it impacts the quality, safety and marketing of the product. Milk powder is prone to lipid oxidation owing to its hygroscopicity and fat content, and therefore should be packaged to prevent contact with light, oxygen, moisture and contaminants.
Stable and beautiful packaging can increase the value of milk powder to consumers by providing a sense of hygiene, nutrition, taste and security. Packaging, by enhancing the value of the milk powder, serves to effectively promote the sale of milk powder.
Nichrome milk powder packaging technology extends to various formats under 2 broad categories:
1.Tin Cans Milk powder has a long shelf life when packed in metal cans due to their excellent barrier properties physical strength, durability, absolute barrier properties to moisture, O2, and light, absence of flavor or odor, and rigidity. Nichrome’s tin filling system packs in quantities up to 1000 gms.
2.Flexible multilayer pouches Flexible pouches or sachets made of aluminum foil or plastic film laminates, are slowly but steadily replacing the tin can. Flexible packages reduce manufacturing and transport costs. As they require less material, they minimise post-consumer waste. The various flexible packaging formats offered by Nichrome’s milk powder packaging machines include:
- Stick pack
- Small sachet
- Gusset bag
- CSPP/Chain of pouches
- Pentaseal/ Pentaseal with D-cut

Sachet Packaging, simplified by Nichrome.
Today across the world, across industries, sachet packs are growing in popularity. These small packets, made by sealing flexible packaging material on all four sides, are now the norm in the aviation and hospitality sectors. Along with sachets, you'll see stickpacks too which are made by sealing narrow, tube-like packaging with a continuous side seam, at both sends.
You'll see sachets and stickpacks in hotel rooms, restaurant tables, takeaway boxes, coffee shops and food trays on airlines. They are usually filled with condiments and spices like sugar, salt, dairy whitener, coffee, ketchup, sauces, herbs, mayonnaise, etc. or even candies and chocolates.
However, these light-weight, single-use packs are increasingly prevalent for a wide range of other FMCG products such as soaps, handwash, detergents, hair oils, hair colour, fairness creams, among others. Many pharma and cosmetic products too are available in these easy-to-carry & use, economical packs.

Spotlight on Stick Packaging Machines
MULTI LANE STICK PACK — NICHROME PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
Packaging is not only about hygiene and protecting the product. It’s about convenience. Nothing illustrates this better than the stick pack, a form that’s growing in popularity around the world.
Remember the slim, one-portion sachets of sugar, milk powder or coffee powder at the cafeteria or in the hotel room? Or those small use-and-throw packs of ketchup or mustard that accompanied the pizza or burger you ordered?
Those slim, single-portion sachets are called stick packs. The stick pack offers consumers convenience (it is easy to open and provides just the right amount of product) plus the freshness of the product is guaranteed. The stick pack is a safe and hygienic packaging form used in both the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector. Although at first glance, stick packs might not seem very environment-friendly because they are packaged individually, they comprise 35% less packaging material than a sachet.
Applications of stick packaging
Stick pack machines are perfect for packaging a wide variety of powder, granular, and liquid products. Powder products can be dense, fine, loose, and particulate materials. Liquids can be substances of differing viscosities including water-like fluids, gels, and pastes.
Stick packaging is very popular for powdered drink mixes, liquid and powder pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, and granular ingredients like sugar, seasonings, coffee/tea premixes. The medical and dietary supplement industries also highly favour stick packaging.
Why stick packs are a hit
Single serve and controlled dosage packaging is very popular with today’s consumers, spanning across generations and demographics. Millennials and young professionals love stick packs because they are portable, convenient, and fit unobtrusively into their busy lives. Whether they contain daily medication or favourite coffee, they allow ‘on the go’ consumers to take their lifestyle on the road. The aging population uses stick packs because they are lightweight and often feature easy-open options like tear notches, making it easier for those with limited dexterity to handle and use the product. Parents are attracted to stick packs because they can easily feed their children with a single, easy to open, controlled serving size package that requires little clean up.
Stick packs also offer unmatched economy and convenience for service providers in the hospitality, food or airlines industries. They help these players to provide food and neutraceutical powders in hygienic, single-serve packaging.
How stick pack machines work
The operation of stick pack machines is very similar to that of single lane vertical form fill seal packaging machines: a roll of film is cut and formed into multiple stick packs; the bags are filled with product and then sealed, all in a vertical fashion, at speeds of up to 80 bags per minute per lane.
Stick pack machines produce more than one pack at a time and usually have multiple channels to produce several stick packs at a time. Some machines in the market can accommodate up to 20 lanes, producing over 1,200 stick packs per minute!
How to choose the right stick pack machine
When selecting your stick pack machine, it’s always better to consult an expert or talk to a packaging machine manufacturer who will understand your requirements and guide you. You will need to consider the desired stick width & length, the product to be packed and its properties, desired speed (packs per minute, hour, shift, etc.) and convenience options (tear notches, chain of packs, pour spouts etc.).
All stick pack machines can utilise different fillers, depending on the product to be packaged.
Liquid Fillers (for liquid, gel and paste type products such as honey, jam, ketchup, mustard paste, olive oil, shampoo)
Auger Fillers (for powders and dusty products like milk powder, tea/coffee premix, spice powders, nutraceutical & pharma powders)
Volumetric Fillers (for free-flowing non-dusty powders like sugar, table salt, pepper)
Stick pack machines can be built to accommodate different stick widths, convenient designs including pour spouts and specialty die-cut shapes, and can also feature easy-open options like tear notches and micro-perforations.
You may want to print expiration dates or lot codes on your stick packaging. There are many multi-lane printing options available for the task.
