Assault charges against Mthokozisi withdrawn

Mthokozisi assault case has been withdrawn.

Subsequent Mthokozisi arrest last on the ground of assaulting a woman and his appearance in the Hillbrow Magistrates court on Monday, 04 December 2017, the assault charges levelled against Ndaba were provisionally withdrawn earlier today.

Speaking to Tshisa Live, Ndaba’s lawyer said

“the charges against Mthokozisi have been withdrawn provisionally and it is unlikely that they will come back and prosecute we are confident that if the state had prospects of proceeding they would have done so today.”

Acceptance

Is accepting things you can't change giving up? This week i have had to accept many things for example I had asked to attend a friends birthday party this upcoming Saturday and I was told no. I asked why and my mom said I would not understand the reasoning behind her answer so I should just let the matter go. OBVIOUSLY this made me want to nag and beg more ,but i decided to let her be seeing that i had the rest of the week to try and convince her to let me go. So my mission for the week was to make sure I convince my mother into letting me attend my friends party. Monday morning I made sure I was extra early for school so she would see that I am responsible enough to wake myself up therefore I am responsible enough to attend my friends party. Tuesday afternoon I made sure I completed all my work at school so my mom would see that I am able to manage my time wisely therefore allowing me to attend a friends party will not do any harm. Wednesday I made sure I attended the extra maths lesson so that my mother would know that I've practiced enough work during the week therefore a few hours with friends won't affect my marks. Thursday I continued to be on my best behavior. As I walked into my physics class the teacher handed our assignments back to us and I was intially pleased with my mark until I noticed that one of my marks was deducted for not completely understanding the concept of designing an experiment. I expressed my view with the teacher that since we were not taught the concept we should get our marks,but the teacher said if he gives us the marks for this mistake he might as well give 100% to every learner he teaches. Although he disagreed with us he gave us the opportunity to go home with our assignment and ask around if we should get the mark or not and come back with feedback the next day. I asked my maths teacher what he thought about it and he said "hawu Mthokozisi all of this for 2 marks?" I said "YESSSS! sir they're my marks." He then said he'll see when it goes into moderation. On the way home i was thinking about the whole situation and realized i wasted so much time complaining about not getting my marks, although in the beginning i was indeed pleased by my mark and let 2 marks get in the way of acknowledging my achievement.It is as if I was being blinded by someone but in actuality that "someone" is myself .That is when I learnt that accepting something you cannot change is not about giving up on what you believe it is about being at peace with the situation and growing from it. I still do not know whether i am allowed to attend my friends birthday party nor get my 2 marks ,but either way i am at peace and content with whatever the outcome may be. •Lesson : Not everything is going to go your way it is up to you to either waste time complaining about it or learn to accept it and move on.
