So this turned out way longer than a blurb, but I guess that's to make up for the fact that I am answering it two months later... (also I stopped and started this so many times that I'm not even sure what this ending is 😂😂)

"Is their a reason your naked in my bed?"

John was an old friend from Harvard, you both always tethered between the line of friends and possibly could be something more, but neither of you ever pulled the trigger to try scared of the possible disaster that it could cause. Once he got called up by the Penguins that didn't change, the only thing that did was that both of you were too busy to ever see each other anymore. But that didn't stop you both from staying in touch when you could even when he was traded to to the Devils, neither of you willing to leave the other behind as just a 'friend from college.'

Once John got traded to Utah, it's as if the universe was finally alining to bring you both back together in some sort of capacity. It seemed that the company you worked for wanted you to go work in Salt Lake City for the next six months, in an attempt to get the firm a new client. When you called John to tell him that you both should catch up and get dinner when you get into town, his response in his calm voice, you could hear his smile as he responds with"Forget dinner. Move in."

At first you told him no and that you could afford your own place, plus since the firm was moving you they were planning to put you in a hotel for a while anyway, which lead to him annoyingly reminding you that he is well aware that you can afford your own place, and that his apartment is way more comfortable than any hotel plus that he misses you. Dramatically sighing you realized that John was not going to let this go, so you agreed that instead of going to a hotel, you would live for him for the first month BEFORE getting your own place eventually.

And it was great, even with John not starting the season due to an injury he got while training, and even with him needing surgry and rehab. Being around John again, reminded you how much you missed him. Even though you never did anything in college, it reminded you of your feelings that you thought you got over but apparently you didn't, and they only intensified when you saw him again. Late night snacks, movie marathons, new and old inside jokes, it only grew the two of you closer and made you realize you in love with him and it scared the shit outta you.

John was on his first roadie since the new season started and your chest physically ached as you sat on the coach. Somehow, you weren't even sure how you missed someone this badly when you went so many years without seeing them. The only other friend you had in the city, a friend from your hometown who happened to end up in Utah, called you and told you that she was going to come pick you up for drinks because laying on the coach missing someone who wasn't even hers to miss, was a waste of a good Saturday night. Which is how you ended up, now stumbling out of the Uber, your friend bidding you goodbye, after way too many shots, finally somehow opening your door. Immediately you decided clothes were too much and since John wasn't suppose to be home until tomorrow night you just started stripping as you made the way to your bed. As soon as you stumbled into your room, and your bed hit your pillow as you crawled under the sheets, sleep overtook you, as the scent of John's cologne filled your nose.

The next time you woke up, a blurry John's head was over you, speaking although you couldn't understand what he was saying possibly still a little drunk. Throwing your arms up at him, "Johnny you 'ome." in a very high pitched happy voice, as you attempted to pull him down to you, which was a complete fail because John didn't want to be pulled down.

"Y/N is their a reason your naked in my bed." his voice deep, as if he's struggling to keep an even voice, once his words registered, you slowly blinked and rubbed your eyes, sitting up looking around to see that you weren't in your room, you were in fact in his king size bed, with the sheets slowly riding down and you became extremely aware that you were naked.

"I- I -" your voice breaking, as you felt like you wanted to cry due to embarrassment, your throat was becoming tighter, your cheeks flushed, as you tried to cover up as much of yourself as you could. Ducking your head, and laying back down you pulled the sheets over your head in your attempt to hide.

"Y/N." he said in a more stern voice.

"Please leave." you begged.

"You're in my room baby." he argued. 'baby' he only use to call you that in college, when you were both drunk, and somehow it still causes your stomach to abrupt in butterflies. His hands, went to rub up and down your side, and back, as if his touch would convince you to stop hiding. "baby?" he softly cooed.

"Stop." you barked. "you're being meeeaann."

John let out a chuckle, not that he was laughing more out of shock for the situation he found himself in. "how am I being mean?" he asked.

Speaking extremely fast, almost like if you didn't get the words out now you never will. "you haven't called me that since we were 19 years old, and now you called me it twice in a minute, just cause I fucked up."

"What 'baby'?" he softly asked, and although you were still hiding and refusing to come out from under his covers, he could see your head nodding 'yes' to his question. "I just haven' seen you in person 'sall. And I swear you only let your guard down in person, which is when you act adorable like a baby." he tried to explain, but even as the words were coming out, he realized how wrong his explanation sounded. "Y/N can you please come out from under the covers, I can't talk to you like this."

Still refusing to get up, John got up and Y/N was hopeful that he would actually leave so she could get dressed and go to hide in her room for the rest the day, while she looked for apartments online. Y/N's hope was crushed when she felt the bed dip again, "here baby. I brought you a shirt, sit up please." he begged, desperately craving to see her face. Slowly she removed the comforter from her face, covering herself she sat up as she let John take care of her, he put his t-shirt over her head, smothering her messy hair, then he handed her a clean pair of his boxers so that you could wear them as shorts.

"I was drunk, and I thought it was my room, but I guess my body just wanted to feel close to you." softly you explained. "cause I missed you, like a lot."

"I missed you too. Scoot over baby " he whispered as he lifted the blankets, softly he laid where you were and pulled you into his, automatically you bodies became a pile of limbs, as John bent down so he could hide in the crock of your neck.

"Johnny?" you whisper, he makes a sound to show he's listening. "What are we doing?" your voice cracking, the tears that were threatening to spill earlier coming back, your throat chocking up.

"Y/N." he dragged your name out, like it was a sacred prayer.

"No seriously, you come home and I'm naked in YOUR bed, and you don't even yell or anything. It's like you don't even care." I’m back from my vacation!

I have so many pictures that this is probably going to be a series of posts.

So for the first few days I was in Colorado. At the place I stayed there was a mother brown bear and two cubs living in the area (I have a vid but it’s pretty low quality), so the gravel road had bear droppings. There was also lizards and hummingbirds. The hummingbirds in particular fought amongst each other and constantly vocalized at me and my friends to get the feeder out (we had to go into town to get a new one because the old one had mold). A black headed species was brave enough to peck at our shirts from behind! The place I stayed was high in the mountains and I actually handled the altitude pretty well.

Also because weed is legal in Colorado I ate an edible and got high. It sucked ass I hated it.

After those few days we moved to a hotel in a town in Mojave Utah. I saw the arches, a bunch of dinosaur stuff, and went on an off-road tour across the lithified sand dunes in a hummer. That last one was awesome and the hummer was scaling near vertical surfaces.

After that I went to a small hotel in kinda north Utah? It was the middle of nowhere and those were cooldown days with a visit to a national park before I went to Salt Lake City and got ready to come home.

She’s autistic, with special interests in flowers and embroidery. Alma is the middle child in her family, she has an older brother, who assisted with the rescue efforts for the Martin and Willy handcart companies, twin older sisters, a younger brother, and a baby sister. I’ll admit I haven’t worked out all of her plot details yet, but she’s a very sweet girl who wants to make friends and help people, but sometimes struggles with how exactly to go about doing so. She’s only ten, and unlike the older members of her family she was born into the Church, so her thoughts aren’t too complicated quite yet, but she likes her Church, she likes her community, and doesn’t see why so many people outside the Church seem to hate it so much. One thing she does struggle with however is miracles. If miracles can happen, then why is it Heavenly Father is still allowing bad things to happen as well?

Wallace Henry Thurman (August 16, 1902 – December 22, 1934) was a novelist active during the Harlem Renaissance. He wrote essays, worked as an editor, and was a publisher of short-lived newspapers and literary journals. He was known for his novel The Blacker the Berry: A Novel of Negro Life.

He began grade school at age six in Boise, but his poor health led to a two-year absence from school, during which he returned to his grandmother in Salt Lake City. He lived in Chicago (1910-14). He finished grammar school in Omaha. He suffered from persistent heart attacks. While living in Pasadena, he caught influenza during the worldwide Influenza Pandemic. He recovered and returned to Salt Lake City, where he finished high school.

He was a voracious reader. He enjoyed the works of Plato, Aristotle, Shakespeare, Havelock Ellis, Flaubert, Charles Baudelaire, and many others. He wrote his first novel at the age of 10. He attended the University of Utah as a pre-medical student. He transferred to USC but left without earning a degree.

Hi, we’re Dustin and Jennifer Schouten and we’re the owners of Mosquito Shield of North Salt Lake City. We love that we are a customer service company. Dustin and I were first attracted to Mosquito Shield due to its seasonality. We have young children and like the idea of knowing that we’ll never have to request time off to be together as a family during winter holidays. My son and I, Joe, are also extremely desirable to Utah’s mosquitoes. Our son is so miserable when he tries to play outside, so we know we can help other people like him to enjoy a pest-free outdoor experience. I grew up in Katy, Texas and am a graduate of Texas A&M University. Since marrying Dustin, we’ve lived and traveled throughout the country and world, but we’re excited to be back in Dustin’s hometown where we can see the mountains everyday. Dustin was born in Salt Lake City, but moved often when he was young. He does, however, have a lot of family ties in the great state of Utah. In fact, he has a relative that is the former mayor of Ogden! 

Dustin retired from the US Navy in 2018 and after working for a few different companies decided he would like to work for himself and his family. We’re proud to be a veteran-owned business and we’re excited to start Mosquito Shield of North Salt Lake City and set down roots for our children.

April 16, 2022. My Mom lay lifeless in her bed. It was the day before Easter, and she had just slipped into eternity. As my sister and I and our husbands awaited the mortuary’s transport, we saw a man approach the front door. Of course we assumed that it was the funeral home but it wasn’t. A courier had a registered letter addressed to Mom. Ironically because of the timing, she couldn’t open it, so I did. Her youngest cousin John had a few days previously, passed away in Los Angeles. He was single and had no children. A organization that alerts families about deceased relatives was writing asking if we wanted them to hire a legal firm to file a claim for his estate. Still in shock from Mom’s final few days and passing just moments before, we set it aside. Our beloved little Mom was retrieved and her mortal remains were respectfully taken away.

Some time thereafter, we looked at the proposition. Because we lived in Salt Lake City, Utah where the organization’s main office was, I drove over to check the legitimacy of the company. They were in a building with professional signage and landscaping and when we looked them up online, they seemed legitimate. So my sister, cousin, uncle and I agreed and signed the contract. Because I was the closest to the office and could respond quickly to requests for signatures and such, I became the primary contact. The research company found 2 additional cousins in Greece and added them to the legal action. We learned sometime afterwards that a man, claiming to be John’s best friend from night school was claiming the estate but had no will to prove his claim. When it became apparent that John’s biological family would possibly inherit the intestate property, he hired an attorney and began to attack our claim, and us.

If he indeed was meant to inherit the property, wouldn’t he have a will or letter or evidence of some kind? Over the months that followed, I received a hand-written letter from him demanding that we drop our claim.

Then I received a document of several dozen pages demanding proof of our biological relationship to John. Fortunately my Mom was a genealogist and had ordered and kept birth certificates, family histories and almost everything that was needed. It took me 4 days to organize the requested documents and write my response, all at the time I was trying to finish a book I was working on before we moved out of state. in addition to the response, we questioned the authenticity of his claim. So far, I have seen no proof of the veracity of his case other than a letter from a co-worker of John who says John wanted him to have his half-million dollar retirement from LA City. Is it authentic? Court dates were scheduled and rescheduled. We moved and settled into our new home. Now I have learned that I’m expected to attend a settlement conference next month. I am waiting to hear from my legal team for advice. It seems he has no legal claim and that the aggressive posturing of his legal team is attempting to deflect their lack of documentation and throw us off-guard. What in reality is happening is that it’s ticking us off.
