In this detailed review, we'll delve into every aspect of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, from its design and display to its performance and battery life.
Design and Build Quality
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra boasts a sleek and modern design that immediately catches the eye. With a 6.7-inch P-OLED display, the phone feels premium in hand, thanks to its slim profile and curved edges. The build quality is top-notch, combining glass and metal in a seamless manner. The device is available in three attractive colors, ensuring that there’s a variant for every taste.
The back of the phone houses a triple-camera setup, aligned vertically, which adds to the phone’s aesthetic appeal. The placement of buttons and ports is ergonomic, with the power button and volume rocker located conveniently on the right side. The overall design language of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra speaks of elegance and sophistication, making it a worthy contender in the high-end smartphone market.
Display
One of the standout features of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is its display. The 6.7-inch P-OLED screen offers a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, ensuring sharp and vibrant visuals. The high refresh rate of 144 Hz makes for an incredibly smooth user experience, whether you’re scrolling through social media, playing games, or watching videos.
The display supports HDR10+, which enhances the contrast and color accuracy, providing an immersive viewing experience. The edge-to-edge design, with minimal bezels, further accentuates the screen, making it ideal for multimedia consumption. The under-display fingerprint sensor is both fast and reliable, adding to the seamless interaction with the device.
Performance
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a powerhouse that ensures top-tier performance. This is coupled with up to 16GB of RAM, making multitasking a breeze. Whether you’re running intensive applications, gaming, or switching between multiple apps, the Edge 50 Ultra handles it all without breaking a sweat.
The device comes with up to 1TB of internal storage, providing ample space for all your apps, photos, videos, and other files. The combination of the powerful processor and generous RAM ensures that the phone runs smoothly even under heavy usage. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is also equipped with a robust cooling system, preventing overheating during extended use.
Camera
The camera setup on the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is impressive, to say the least. The rear camera array consists of a 50 MP primary sensor, a 64 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 MP telephoto sensor. This versatile setup allows for a wide range of photography options, from capturing expansive landscapes to detailed close-ups.
The primary camera delivers stunning photos with excellent color reproduction and sharpness. The ultra-wide camera is perfect for group shots and scenic photos, while the telephoto lens offers up to 5x optical zoom without compromising on image quality. The camera software is packed with features like Night Mode, Portrait Mode, and Pro Mode, allowing users to get creative with their photography.
The front camera is a 50 MP sensor that captures detailed and vibrant selfies. It supports various beautification features and can record 4K videos, making it ideal for vloggers and content creators. The camera performance in low light is commendable, thanks to the advanced algorithms and large sensor size.
Battery Life
Battery life is a critical factor for any smartphone, and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra doesn’t disappoint in this regard. It is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery that easily lasts a full day of moderate to heavy usage. The device supports 125W wired charging, which can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just about 30 minutes. Additionally, the 50W wireless charging support offers convenient and fast charging options without the hassle of cables.
The phone also supports reverse wireless charging, allowing you to charge other devices like earbuds or smartwatches on the go. The combination of a large battery and fast charging capabilities ensures that you’re never left stranded without power.
Software and Features
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra runs on Android 14 out of the box, offering a clean and user-friendly interface. Motorola’s custom skin adds a few useful features without overwhelming the user with bloatware. The software experience is smooth and intuitive, with regular updates ensuring that the device stays secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
The device supports 5G connectivity, ensuring blazing-fast internet speeds and improved network reliability. Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, NFC for contactless payments, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Price and Availability
Priced at $1020, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra positions itself as a premium offering in the smartphone market. While it might seem steep, the price is justified considering the top-of-the-line specifications and features it offers. The device is available through various online and offline retailers, making it accessible to a wide audience.

Read the full article

Motorola Edge 30 Pro review: power and compromises
Motorola Edge 30 Pro review: power and compromises
The Edge 30 Pro is a little less versatile in the field of photography, and for good reason: Motorola chose to abandon the 8 megapixel module with periscopic zoom, which made it possible to obtain a 5x magnification effect compared to the large -angle. In return, the smartphone offers an ultra wide-angle with a more defined sensor (50 megapixels against 16 Mpx for the Edge 20 Pro). The main…

What’s so great about the MacBook Air? Glad you asked! A speedy Apple octa-core M1 processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB of on-board storage and the latest version of macOS Big Sur, that’s what. The Apple MacBook Air — on sale for $899 (was $999) — is a sleek and slim speed demon. It’s also super-lightweight at just under three pounds. Pretty too: You can score one of these in Gold, Silver and Apple’s signature Space Gray.
“…I needed an upgrade from my heavy MacBook Pro… I needed something super light and thin — I can just bring [it] everywhere and slide it in my bag,” shared a satisfied Amazon shopper. “I am obsessed with how fast this MacBook Air is. The battery life is on point. I used it for movies and series at work and it lasted for three days. The processor is so good. I open so many tabs at once and it has not lagged on me.”

If you’re a pet parent, you know how important it is to ensure that your pups are eating right. While most puppy snacks are loaded with preservatives, dyes and all sorts of nasties, these bites from Amazon in-house brand Wag are made (in the USA) with chicken as the very first ingredient. For the 4th of July, they’re down to $8 from $14, with the on-page coupon.
“My dog is in love with these,” a shopper declared. “Normally she shares her treats when her dog friends come over but not these. If I give them to her friends, she takes them away from them and gobbles them up!”
