fifteen men on a dead man's chest, it's time for: pirates!

there's an idea here, and the idea is slowly turning into a story, and in march I've got some one shot comics about pirates I want to post! ideally, in march. hopefully in march. there's a lot of stuff to figure out, drawing wise. I spent an amount of time I won't mention researching the history of leg prosthetics & vintage leg prosthetic designs for basilica, and I haven't even figured out tall ships. which is. well. it's pirates, what are pirates without tall ships

This artwork (link below) is giving me sooo many ideas for jayvik x hp crossovers, especially post s2 …. I used to be SUCH A FIEND for harry potter crossover fics (still a fiend for crossover fics in gen) and it would be so cool if like after jayvik get zapped away by the stone they come out the other side in the hp universe and then have to learn how to navigate this world where magic exists?? But in a different form from the arcane and its revered in a way?? and an entire secret society and school exists just to teach kids magic?? And in this school theres no tech, no engineering?? Plus not to mention all the political bs as well omg

And how would they get involved with the school in first place…maybe they pop right into the school? I wish i remembered more from the books bc i feel like theres totally an event i could use but I just can’t remember much outside from like the first two books 😭

If anyone wants to brainstorm with me feel free bc like i said i loooooveee crossovers and now that im finally on break (and i have adderall now) I think i might actually start some fics

If you focus only on yourself, you’re going to be pretty stressed out, Efnisien.’ Efnisien didn’t flinch, but he looked up at Kadek with wide eyes and Kadek stared down with an unblinking intensity.

the thought of severed innie nova manically girlsmiling her way through is inordinately funny to me. i've been assuming all that crazy denialism was drilled into her and you're telling me she's just? Like That??? hysterical. love may not transcend severance but trauma responses sure will.

nova can Always be prevailed upon to go "it's okay it's okay it's okay, no, it's okay, it's totally okay, no, i can fix this!!! it's okay!!!! We Are All Okay!!!" about anything, in any universe, with any backstory, ever.

the main difference with severed nova is that she has no preconceived bigotry or self-importance, so when she gets really anxious and possessive and insecure about things, she just shuts herself in the bathroom. and cries. about how she's ruining everyone's life.

Okay but we got Vox and Velvette fighting with someone in their songs like Vox and Alastor, and then Velvette and Carmila Carmine Soo like I think we should have Valentino and Husk sing like hear me out, think of it as Valentino either begining a song and then Husk sings while like trying to protect angel dust or something (like how Vox was singing and then Alastor interrupted the song by also singing) or you can think of it as Valentino about to hurt angel dust or something then Husk just starts singing about how he should get the fuck away or some shit (like uh how while Velvette was talking to Zestial and Carmila interrupted her by singing) you know like we should have it and if it isn't him beefing with Husk then let it be him beefing with angel dust or someone just give me a song with him beefing with someone since the only song he sings in (or at least I think if I'm wrong tell me) was at the final with Vox which I loved by the way I mean they we're so cute singing together at least I just kinda want to hear Valentino sing more is basically what's happening I do want to hear all the vees sing more which is like getting me onto my other thing I want can we have all the vees sing a villain song all together like I'm sure they'd all sound great together like I would love to see it man.

I've had this idea for a hot minute of a secret magic society and I wanna ramble about it somewhere so here it goes. It's basically like there are these fundamental forces of nature and every now and then they choose random people to grant magic power to in order for them to enact the will of said forces of nature. Someone can be chosen at any time, typically it's when they are most needed, and there's seemingly no logic as to why anyone gets selected.

When you get chosen, you're taken to this remote island that has a huge mansion and the mansion is made up of rooms that range from normal (bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathrooms) to slightly more odd ones (music room, dining hall [yes hall not room], art room, library) to what the fuck how is this even a room (the kitchen's walk in freezer is just an arctic tundra snow and ice everywhere yes there's even some trees, there's a working graveyard yes there's dirt, a room that straight up has a pond and there's grass surrounding it, there's a slice of a desert in one room)

Random tendershipping modern witch/familiar au where Bakura is being his charming self and takes out his frustrations on a random stranger (Ryou), who does not take kindly to his rudeness and reveals himself to be a powerful witch by turning Bakura into a cat.

Now, Bakura has to serve Ryou as his familiar to earn his human form back. Magical shenanigans happen, Malik's witch hunter family is after Ryou, they don't realise that Bakura is the familiar, demons get summoned, they visit the fairy realm, a zombie apocalypse almost kicks off and Bakura is still awful at his job.

actually i think a clingyduo as destiel au could go carzy. tubbo who struggles to defy authority but can be swayed because of how much he cares about tommy and tommy who would absolutely go to hell to save his brother's life/soul and do everything in his power to corrupt an angel who he thinks is actually really cool when he's not being an authoritative bitch. also one thing about clingyduo and destiel is there will be undying devotion even with the worst of betrayals.

maybe it's to maintain a sense of tension & turmoil that would eventually reach an explosive peak, a sense of tug-of-war, a back-and-forth to hammer home the ideals they want to deliver and for the viewers to chew on, but although these arguments regarding hiroshi & his stance as a man torn between his loyalty for his country & the loyalty for his Filipino friends and lover is of course important, how they write these scenes & the points they present from this week alone is getting too repetitive...? literally the argument scenes from last night & tonight between adelina & hiroshi is basically the same; the ideas were the same, the dynamics were the same: the aggressive, radical adelina, bristling rage and fear over the injustices she's seen thus far, and the cautious, inspiriting hiroshi, all hopefulness and reassurance one moment as a lover, defensiveness and sternness as a japanese soldier in another. this debate will be ever-present ofc, it is one of the series' biggest conflicts, but it is unfortunately so easy to tell when it is a.) being pulled up as a main topic to move the plot along / be a necessary conflict for character development/introspection / be the conflict to deliver the morals & messages the writers want to send to their viewers, or b.) when it is being pulled up only for the drama and filler to pass the time. like watching the characters sit down to argue for 10 minutes, do other things for the plot for 2 minutes, then sit down again to argue for the next 20 minutes. lol.
