There's also an attack mode#Half of the weapons are pretty bad and the only one you really want is Saw since it's a free screen clear that can hit enemies beside you#Most weapons only shoot downwards (except flower which shoots 360) and enemies like to get beside and above you so this matters a lot#Although flower and rocket are also fine since they have properties that let them hit enemies that aren't only below you#Lazer is also a room clear if you have a lot of enemies below you. Machinegun is worse lazer- revolver sucks- and shotgun is worse flower#Although the weapons are a total side-show in comparison to the movement tricks this game lets you do#It does a great job of letting you feel cool once you start mastering its mechanics#Fav detail in particular is the ability to change which way you're facing mid-jump so you don't connect to walls#You can also change jumps while jumping#and if you do it right this lets you get a ton of horizontal distance the moment you touch the grounds
