Gestern Abend habe ich mir neben dem Hostel noch ein Bier geholt im Magasin, die Trinker beobachtet, die später von der Miliz weggeschafft worden sind, (Gulag?), mir erzählen lassen, dass die zweite Etage des Hostels als Bordell stundenweise vermietet wird, um dann versuchen, zu schlafen. Nebenan Kindergeschrei und Geschnarche, oben drüber Gewichtheben oder Thaiboxen, wer weiß das schon...

Für den heutigen Tag hat mein Heimatsenderkumpel und Kirgistanbeauftragter Thorsten Kutschke empfohlen, mal die Straße hoch gen Goldmine zu fahren, der irren Landschaft wegen. Hat sich gelohnt. Der erste Schnee seit langer Zeit, und das auf 4000 m, das war schon beeindruckend. Eine grob in den Berg gehauene Passstraße führt hinüber, ganz so nah an die Grenze darf ich aber nicht, weil ich keinen Permit habe. Gibts zwar für 25$ zu kaufen, aber dauert ein paar Tage. Brauch ich aber nicht, will ja nicht zwangsläufig ins Grenzgebiet. Bevor ich allerdings in die hochalpine Region des Tien Shan Gebirges gefahren bin, gönnte ich mir ein zugleich trauriges aber auch unfassbar komisches Schauspiel, den sonntäglichen Viehmarkt in Karakol. Hunderte Schafe, ebensoviele Rinder und auch Pferde werden dort offeriert und viele wechseln den Besitzer. Die Tiere werden nicht zimperlich behandelt, direkt Glück strahlt nicht aus den Augen der dicht an dicht stehenden Kreaturen, aber trotzdem geht es jedem Tier hier besser als in Mitteleuropas Massentierhaltungs-KZs. In einen Moskvich passen übrigens 8 Schafe. Und ein Fahrer. Und seine Frau. Und der Sohn.

Nachdem ich von den 4000 m wieder runter auf 1500 gefahren war, nämlich zurück zum wunderschönen See, durch Canyons die denen in den USA an Schönheit nicht nachstehen (Ja, liebe Amerikaner. Da müsst ihr mal ganz stark sein, es ist überall auf der Welt schön! ) fuhr ich am Seeufer entlang, alles war in ein wunderschönes Herbstlicht getaucht, die Farben der Bäume sind unglaublich vielfältig, vorbei an leer stehenden ehemaligen Erholungsheimen, die hier Pensionat heißen, durch Dörfer voller Schafherden, überall berittene Hirten, oft auch gleich zwei , in dem Falle Kinder, auf einem Esel oder Pferd. In den größeren Orten torkeln auch gern mal sturzbetrunkene Männer oder Frauen durch die Gegend, der Islam wie er hier gelebt wird gefällt mir gut. Wichtig beim Trinken ist, dass Allah es nicht sieht.

Zur Ruhe bette ich mich in Kochkor, morgen gehts weiter Richtung Westen.

The basis for this project was choosed Moskvich-2140 (Москвич-2140) in the complete set SL 1986 release. Why Moskvich? I wanted to give you a lot of reasons why Moskvich was chosen, but I will not, I just like him, we can say that this is the first love.

The air suspension in Moskvich will be built on a four-circuit scheme on 8 valves, in which each airbag is controlled by 2 valves, one supplies air, and the second bleeds. Such a pneumatic suspension scheme will allow more flexible control of each airbag, for example, lower / raise the left / right side, lower / raise the front / rear, hang one of the wheels.

Since ready sets of air suspension for Soviet cars are not produced, the system had to be assembled separately. So the basic elements of air suspension - airbags were ordered from America. Before buying it was necessary to choose airbags, view all available options, and also with a ruler to make gaugings, in particular in a forward suspension bracket that airbags will work instead of springs and were not rubed about the bottom arm and other elements of a suspension bracket. Also from America came and electromagnetic valves. With the rest of the components there where no problems - chokes, tees, nipples and the rest components where bought in the sanitary ware shop, the compressor in the car store, the oxygen hose in the construction market. For the front suspension are used air bags RE-5 American company Slam Specialties. These air bags are chosen because of the outer diameter, which, depending on the load and pressure, is 130-139 mm. With a larger diameter of the airbag, there would be friction about the sidewall of the lower arm. In addition, air bags RE-5 have built-in bumpers, which, in principle, allows you to abandon the car's regular bumpers. Also Contitech 2500 will be OK in this position. For the rear suspension are selected air bags Dominator 2500 American firm Air Lift.

Valves for pneumatic suspension are used of electromagnetic type, controlled by a voltage of 12 volts. These valves have a cross-section of 15 mm, which allows them to pass through a large amount of air and, accordingly, more quickly pumping or bleed air from the airbag. For example, with such valves, the machine can be raised / lowered in about one second. And with a 1/4 inch valve it would take 3-4 seconds. Between each other, the valves are connected by 1/2 "sanitary" plumbing fittings.

Initially it was planned to use the Berkut R17 compressor for air suspension, but in the process of experiments it turned out that its performance was rather weak. Therefore, it was replaced by an older brother - the Berkut compressor R20, which is two times cheaper than the famous and similar in design Viair 400P.

As a receiver for pneumatic suspension, an air cylinder of 20 liters capacity is used from the brake system of the KAMAZ vehicle. It had to be worked out a little, namely weld the U-shaped supports cut from the channel and paint. This receiver has 5 holes - two from each end, and one from below, to drain the condensate.

A feature of the front suspension of Moskvich (although not only Moskvich, but other cars of the 60-80-xx years) is the placement of a shock absorber inside the spring. Therefore, when installing the air suspension on the front axis had to shift the shock absorber. Also I had to shift the braking tubes. For attaching the airbag, metal platforms with a thickness of 3 mm were made. The upper platform is attached to the transverse beam, and the lower area of ​​the airbag - to the lower arm.

The air suspension will be controlled with usage of a remote wired control panel that contains eight buttons. With the help of such a remote control it will be possible to control both individually each air bag, and separately the front / rear axle and the left / right side.
