Located inside the botanical garden where Donatela Hotel’s tasteful, charismatic villas are located, Tarsier Paprika sits atop a cliff, overlooking the great Bohol Sea beyond. It is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque restaurants in Bohol, a place you’d surely recommend to others because of their exceptional service, quality food, and unparalleled ambience.

This makes it ideal for partners and friends alike who would like to witness a gorgeous view of the sun setting against the shimmering waters of the sea. With Tarsier Paprika’s world-class flavors backdropped against a romantic landscape of al fresco dining, no wonder this fine dining restaurant has been the go-to place of those seeking solace in the arms of Panglao Island. We were lucky that this place was only a few minutes away from our hotel.

It’s best to be seated outdoors because of the view and the atmosphere, but they also have a room if you wish to be seated indoors. While waiting for your order, you can walk along the beach side path by going down the stairs; there, you’ll see the Bohol Sea up close and personal.

For our last meal in Bohol, we ate at Moss. From the moment you step into Moss, you’ll be captivated by the stunning interior design that blends modern aesthetics with traditional elements. The carefully curated decor, ambient lighting, and comfortable seating arrangement create an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere.

The attention to detail and the flavors in every dish were remarkable. They take pride in using only the freshest and finest ingredients sourced locally to ensure the highest quality in every dish. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a meat enthusiast, or a vegetarian, their diverse menu has something to tantalize every palate. What a way to cap our Bohol trip!

Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) Addresses Trends in Modular Systems for Defense

Joint efforts between the DoD, government agencies and industry over the past two years have resulted in a collaborative effort to adopt a common platform through the development of an open standard.  The flow of this new initiative starts with the government expressing what they need from embedded systems companies and all parties involved working together to achieve those goals. The top objectives are to specify base system architectures for common systems, such as selecting a hardware standard—in this case, the existing OpenVPX standard—and system interoperability. Known as The Open Group Sensor Open Systems Architecture™ or SOSA™, this effort has enabled collaboration across different industry boundaries that were not achievable before. But the question of interoperability across modules remained.
