OK I sincerely hope that Sareena actually is also a DLC . So far most of the leaks about this game haven been pretty accurate and she was leaked for the combat pack 2.

But I'm wondering since so far she is the only cameo with this amount of detail and they went out of their way to show a demon form that has never been shown before.

So I hope that more will be contributed to her

IF she is gonna get upgraded to main roster as DLC.

i’m homophobic now but only against the mortal kombat fans who do not look into the characters in the slightest outside of shipping them/said characters being attractive. this game has such a sick story you don’t have to make EVERYTHING gay……. guys men can just be friends…..

When Kitana referred to Mileena's affliction as a disease, was I the only person whose first thought wasn't "what fresh hell is this retcon" but "wait, does this mean Mileena has a chronic illness?"

Y'see, my old man's a doctor and I used to read his medical texts all the time. I still go onto google books and read them there as well, especially the symptom checkers lol

I'd like to speculate here on the nature of the Outworld sovereign's disease, but I don't know if that'd be out of line.

I can definitely see what Mortal Kombat 1 is doing, this is going to be less of a straight up reboot and more of a re-imagining of all the characters and their backstories. Edenia hasn’t been conquered yet and Kitana and Mileena were raised together, Scorpion is human and doesn’t have a hate-boner for Sub-Zero, and Kung Lao and Great Kung Lao??? (Maybe Kung Jin or Raiden idk???) are together, the writers are putting a unique spin on each character’s backstory. Personally I’m all for it but a part of me is sad that this is some trite in-universe timeline reset plotline. MK11 could and should have just been the finale to that storyline while this could have been its own individual canon. Maybe the writers can make it work but I’m not too sure about the prospect of a god tier character who can literally do some divine intervention to solve literally any conflict in this new setting without some major contrivance to de-power or remove Liu from the plot. On another note... the characters shown were either in pairs or trios so I’m 90% certain this will be a tag or team based game if not the return of those modes.
