“men are always willing to believe two things about a woman: one, that she is weak, and two, that she finds him attractive.”
truly insane to have a character say this and then make them actually attracted to men in any capacity. btw.

February is a month of transition, deep magic, and powerful energy shifts. Whether you're embracing the fire of Imbolc, basking in the glow of the Full Snow Moon, or setting radical intentions under the Aquarius New Moon, there’s plenty of energy to work with. Here are the key witchy dates to note:
🔥 Imbolc – February 2 This sabbat marks the midpoint between winter and spring, a time to honor the returning light. Imbolc is deeply tied to the goddess Brigid, keeper of the hearth, creativity, and transformation. Many witches celebrate by lighting candles, performing purification rituals, or setting intentions for the months ahead. If you’ve been feeling stagnant, now is the perfect time to clear old energy and welcome fresh inspiration.
🌕 Full Snow Moon in Leo – February 12 The Snow Moon shines bright in fiery Leo, bringing a surge of confidence, passion, and creativity. This is a time to step into your power, embrace bold self-expression, and honor your heart’s desires. Fire magic, glamour spells, and rituals for self-love and courage are especially potent under this lunation.
⚖️ World Social Justice Day – February 20 Magic isn’t just personal—it’s collective. Many witches see activism as part of their practice, using their energy and craft to stand up for justice. Whether it’s lighting a candle for protection, speaking out against injustice, or supporting marginalized communities, this is a day to reflect on how you can weave magic and action together.
🌑 New Moon in Aquarius – February 27 Aquarius energy is rebellious, innovative, and forward-thinking, making this New Moon an excellent time for setting unconventional goals and embracing change. Work with this energy by manifesting new ideas, breaking free from outdated patterns, or calling in community connections. This is also a great time for divination, as Aquarius often brings flashes of insight and intuition.
How will you be working with these energies this month? Let’s talk about it in the comments! 🔮✨

I adore the idea of a hero of ferelden that helped/participated in the dark ritual spending their life feeling like a fraud.
They get all this empty praise, all these unearned accolades. They are held up as the example that every warden should strive to be. Yet, they know they are the antithesis of the motto "In war, victory. In peace, Vigilance. In death, sacrifice". When the time came, they couldn't commit to that sacrifice. The wardens had taken some much from them, their home, family, friends, hell even their future. When duty demanded their death, they were terrified. They were barely an adult, just starting their life, desperate to live.
In the years after the blight, they double down on being a warden. Gladly, embracing the title and trials of the warden commander. Trying to wash away the stain of that failure, which slowly eats away at their conscious. They go back on their word, hunting down Morrigan in a desperate bid to ensure that the old god baby was truly not a threat. They agree to a practically impossible quest into the uncharted parts of the Thedas to find a cure for the calling because maybe, just maybe, if they can find the cure, they might feel like they actually deserve the title of hero

CONFESSION:
One thing I like about the female city elf origin is that it really hits home what Morrigan is asking when it comes to the Dark Ritual. In the origin, Vaughan gives you the option of walking away and leaving Shianni with him to save your own skin. And, in a way, Morrigan asks you the same thing. She asks you to convince Alistair to go through with the ritual, knowing that he does not want to have sex, so that you can save your own life. I like how it comes full circle.

i’ve been mentally adding my brosca to my surana’s worldstate as a warden recruit she picked up during the blight—like, he joined the team on the promise that he could be made a warden as soon as she and alistair figured out how to, you know, do that—and it’s very charming. i think more of us who have multiple wardens should do this

Okay no but I just saw this amazing artwork about the HoF and the whole „in death sacrifice“ thing and just was struck with how tragic that is for the circle mage origin.
You’ve been stuck in a tower all your life, barely (if at all) getting to see the outside and then you have a chance to leave, to see the world, to maybe live your life in freedom for decades. Experience rain, flowers, snow, the seasons as a whole. Laughter with your friends without fearing Templars.
But then a year later you find out you have to sacrifice your life to save the world from the blight and everything is taken from you again.

The New Moon in Aries is a powerful time for new beginnings, courageous action, and setting intentions that align with your most fearless self. Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, carries the energy of leadership, independence, and raw passion—and when the Moon aligns with this fire sign, it brings an urge to act NOW.
🔥 What does this mean for your practice? 🔥
It’s the perfect time to set bold, action-oriented intentions. Aries isn’t about overthinking—it’s about movement. Instead of just writing down your goals, take a tangible step toward them. Want to start a new project? Make the first move. Need to break a bad habit? Cut the cord today.
Aries energy can be impulsive. While it’s great for breaking free of hesitation, make sure you’re acting with purpose, not just reacting emotionally. The trick is balancing instinct with strategy.
Fire magic is especially potent under this Moon. Light a red candle, visualize your desires igniting with its flame, and speak them into existence. Aries rules the head—so wearing red, anointing your forehead with cinnamon-infused oil, or meditating on your third eye chakra can help you channel its energy.
Remember: This is your cosmic green light to go after what you want. Just make sure you’re chasing what truly serves you. What fearless intention are you setting?
