From Australian Geographic Image of the Week; May 21, 2018:
Sneaky Skink Arlie V McCumstie
“I very slowly stalked this little guy, a South-eastern Morethia Skink (Morethia boulengeri), for a long time so that I could get very close to take this shot” said Arlie.
South-eastern morethia grow to be about 9 - 12 cm long and are part of the Skink family. They are a insectivorous species, like the majority of skinks, and eats predominately arthropod species and snails, making them handy garden friends.

Some of our smallest remnants often support unexpected species. We found this Saltbush Morethia Skink in a tiny patch of Buloke/Rosewood this week.
