OOC Post about:
So, since Deathgarden kind of failed as a game, I just want to let everyone know what it was about, and how I modified it to work for this AU!
So, deathgarden, much like DBD, was an asymmetrical survival game. It was an action survival game, so guns and other weapons aside from melee were allowed (In fact, melee was not allowed). You had Scavengers (sometimes called Survivors by people who came over from DBD) and Hunters (Think killers from DBD). Unlike Survivors from DBD, Scavengers could fight back just as dirty as the Hunters. Scavenger powers include: Creating a cloud of blinding smoke, creating a duplicate of yourself and others within a certain area, going invisible, moving hella fast, and instantly healing a teammate (these are the ones I remember off the top of my head). I never played Hunter, so I have no idea what their powers were.
What I can tell you is that is had some major balancing issues, beyond what DBD suffers from. You either suffered and had a five second match as a Scavenger, or you were taunted to all hell by a group as a Hunter (I may have done this once because said Hunter was pissing me off and camping). Unlike DBD, Deathgarden did not have “add-ons” or a good number of perks. You got two perks, and one power. That was it.
How have I modified this game to fit my AU:
Well, after some time, the creators of this game said “Let’s make a variation on certain days with two Hunters, and ten Scavengers!” My AU takes that idea and says “Let’s have two teams of five Scavengers fight each other to stay alive!” And that’s all I have changed.
#OOC POST#scavengersusie#Honestly ten Scavengers was hella fun#Depending on who the Hunters were#More often than not it would be ten randos versus two close friends#Imagine that in DBD#it's like SWF but reversed
