Greet the people with a pleasant smile, as opposed to frowning at them.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not look down on any act of kindness,
even if it is just meeting your brother with a pleasant smile on your face."*
A pleasant smile causes people to become happy,
wins over their love and affection,
and leads to both parties having good thoughts of each other.
Just try it and you will see!

⛔A REAL EYE-OPENER: UPSET WITH THE QADR OF ALLAAH?⛔
Ibn al-Qayyim said,
“Inspect yourself – Are you innocent?!”
I remind myself and my brothers and sisters in Islaam to sincerely think about the following statements and ponder over how distant we are from them in reality:
“That’s just great! This is why I hate Mondays!”
“What is wrong with this laptop? Another virus!! And of course this would happen NOW, when I have all this important work to finish!!”
“The car seems to break down every time I’m running late!”
“My stupid cellphone keeps shutting down…!”
“Oh great! One more red light! As if I’m not late enough!”
“I stoved my toe on that stupid table!”
These small everyday trials we face and the emotions we react with are all part of our personal test. Our reactions, beliefs, and statements are all being recorded!
With the above mentioned complaints and reactions, who are we actually displeased with? We know that the table didn’t do anything to our toe, right? We know that cars, cellphones, and laptops don’t actually choose to do things to harm us in reality, right?
So then, again – WHO or WHAT are we really displeased with when uttering these kinds of statements?
We desperately need our spouses, friends, and companions to remind us, quite simply, with the following question:
Are you unhappy with the Qadr of Allaah?
Let us replace the bad reactions mentioned with the very best guidance available, the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam):
وإن أصابك شيء فلا تقل لو أني فعلت كذا لكان كذا وكذا لكن قل قدر الله وما شاء فعل…
“…And if something (bad) befalls you, do not say, ‘Had I only done such-and-such, then such-and-such would have happened, rather say: Qadrullaahi, wa maa shaa’ fa’ala (This is from the Qadr of Allaah, and He does whatever He wills).” [Muslim]
Let us affirm everything we face as the Qadr of Allaah, submit to Allaah being pleased with the trial He (and no one else) has chosen for us, and be afraid of a bad reaction that would be written against us and handed to us on the Day of Account.

Many scholars stated that Allaah sent every Prophet with a miracle suitable to his time.
For instance, in the time of Moosaa, magic was the trade of the time, and magicians held a high position. So Allaah sent Moosaa with a miracle that captured the eyes and bewildered every magician.
When the magicians realized that Moosaa’s miracle came from the Almighty, Most Great, they embraced Islam and became pious believers.
As for Jesus, he was sent during a time when medicine and knowledge in physics were advancing. Jesus brought them the types of miracles that could not be performed, except by one sent by Allaah.
How can any physician bring life to clay, cure blindness and leprosy and bring back to life those entrapped in the grave?
Muhammad was sent during the time of eloquent people and proficient poets.
He brought them a Book from Allaah; if mankind and the Jinn tried to imitate ten chapters, or even one chapter of it, they will utterly fail in this task, even if they tried to do it by collective cooperation.
This is because the Qur’an is the Word of Allaah and is nothing like that of the creatures.

THE MOST DESERVING OF YOUR GOOD TREATMENT
Sadly enough, many people have good manners when dealing with the people; however, they do not behave well with their families at all. This is a huge mistake and a backwards understanding! How can a person behave well with distant relatives while he has poor manners with those closest to him?!
Maybe such a person will say: "This is because there is no harm if I relax and do not burden myself with good treatment of them, so I behave poorly with them."
To this we reply: This is not correct. Rather, it is the close relatives who are most deserving of your good treatment while you live with them.

𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗥
From the signs of a person's good manners in his dealings with the people is that he is someone easy to be around. His friends and relatives do not find it difficult to deal with him, nor does he make things hard on them. Instead, he brings happiness to their hearts as much as he can, within the confines of Allaah's legislation. This is a limit that must be observed, since there are some people who will not be pleased except with disobedience to Allaah, and Allaah's refuge is sought. It is not befitting that we oblige such people. However, to bring happiness to the people in your life, your friends and relatives, within the confines of the Islaamic Legislation is indeed good character.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The best of you are the best to his family, and I am the best of you to my family."

“And By the Ten Nights”
Tumblr media
"And By The Ten Nights" – Compiled by Dawud Burbank (rahimahullah) With the Hajj season coming upon us soon, we thought it would be beneficial to remind ourselves and you all about the tremendous virtues of the first 10 nights of Dhul Hijjah. This particular piece was compiled by our brother, Dawud Burbank (rahimahullah):
“And By the Ten Nights”
AND BY THE TEN NIGHTS ] Sooratul-Fajr (89):2
AS-SA’DEE:
“He swore an oath after it by the ten nights; and they are, upon the correct saying, the ten nights of Ramadaan, or the ten of Dhul-Hijjah, since they are nights which comprise virtuous days; and such acts of worship and devotion occur in them as do not occur in other than them. So in the ten nights of Ramadaan Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Decree) occurs, which is better than a thousand months; and in their days the fasting at the end of Ramadaan occurs, which is one of the pillars of Islam. And in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah there occurs the standing in ‘Arafah, wherein Allah forgives His servants with forgiveness that causes Satan to grieve. So Satan is never seen to be more humiliated and rejected then he is on the day ‘Arafah, because of what he sees from the descending of the Angels and mercy from Allah upon His servants; and many of the actions of the Hajj, and the ‘Umrah occur in them, and these are matters greatly honoured, and are deserving that Allah should swear an oath by them.” *
AT-TABAREE:
“The people of explanation disagree about which ten nights these are. So some of them said: They are the ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah: … Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The ten nights which Allah swore an oath by are the first ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah.” … ‘Ikrimah said: “The ten of Dhul-Hijjah.” … Mujaahid said regarding the saying of Allah-the Mighty and Majestic: وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ : “The ten of Dhul-Hijjah.” … Qataadah said: “It used to be narrated to us that they are the ten of al-Adhaa.” … Ibn Zayd said: “The first ones of Dhul-Hijjah.” Whereas others said: They are the ten (nights) at the beginning of Ramadaan. However what is the correct saying in that regard in our view is that they are the ten of al-Adhaa, because of the consensus of the evidence from the people of explanation upon it…” * ‘ABDUR-RAZZAAQ said in his ‘Tafseer’: “From Ma’mar: from Qataadah, regarding His Saying: وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ : “The first ten of Dhul-Hijjah: (Allah made them the completion for Moosaa)’” … Masrooq said: “They are the best of the days of the year.” *
IBN KATHEER
“What is meant by the ten nights is the ten of Dhul-Hijjah, as was said by Ibn ‘Abbaas, Ibn az-Zubayr, Mujaahid, and a number of the Salaf and the later people; and it is established in the ‘Saheeh’ of al-Bukharee traced back to the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم: – meaning the ten of Dhul-Hijjah. They said: “Not even Jihaad in Allah’s cause?” He said: And it is said: what is meant by that is the first ten of Muharram. Aboo Ja’far ibn Jareer quoted it, but he did not ascribe it to anyone. And Aboo Kudaymah narrated from Qaaboos ibn Abee Zabyaan: from his father: from Ibn ‘Abbaas that he said concerning وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ : It is the first ten of Ramadaan”, but what is correct is the first saying…” *
ASH-SHAWKAANEE:
“They are the ten of Dhul-Hijjah upon the saying of the majority of the people of Tafseer…” * Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen said in his ‘Tafseer Juz· ‘Amma’: “It is said that what is meant by وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ is the ten of Dhul-Hijjah; and the days are referred to as ‘nights’ since the Arabic language is vast. So ‘nights’ may be mentioned when what is actually meant is the days; and ‘days’ can mean ‘nights’. It is otherwise said that وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ means the last ten nights of Ramadaan. As for upon the first (saying): those who say that what is meant by the ten nights is the ten of Dhul-Hijjah, then this is because the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are virtuous days concerning which the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said: They said: “Not even Jihaad in Allah’s cause?” He said: As for those who said that what is meant by the ten nights is the last ten nights of Ramadaan, then they said: the basic principle regarding ‘layaalee’ (nights) is that it refers to nights, and not to days; and they said: the last ten nights of Ramadaan contain the Night of Decree (Laylatul-Qadr), concerning which Allaah said :  خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ]; and He said: إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ]; and this saying is stronger than the first saying, even though the first saying is the saying of the majority. So the wording does not support the saying of the majority; rather it strengthens the second saying, that it is the last ten nights of Ramadaan; and Allah swore an oath by them because of their eminence, and because they contain the Night of Decree; and because with them the Muslims conclude the month of Ramadaan, which is the time of one of the obligatory duties of Islaam, and one of the pillars of Islaam. So therefore Allah swore an oath by these nights.>> Read the full article

AL-JALEEL (The All-Majestic)
MENTIONS OF AL-JALEEL:  FROM QURAN & HADITH
Arabic Root: From the root jim-lam-lam (ج ل ل), which has the following classical Arabic connotations: to be supremely great. To be glorious, majestic. To be sublime, to be high, lofty, far above, independent. The word Jalal (جلال) comes from the same root meaning greatness, majestic, and loftiness.
Among the disputed names: As we've mentioned in previous names, different scholars have different criteria for what qualifies as a name of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ. Of the 99 names, 81 are explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an. Therefore, there is not one agreed-upon list for the remaining 18 names. Al-Jalil is one of those names which is not included by certain scholars. This list includes Ibn al-Wazir, Ibn Hajar, and Ibn al-Uthaymeen. However, others, such as Ibn Arabi, Imam al-Bayhaqi, and Imam al-Ghazali, have included this name in their books of explanations of Asma ul-Husna. But many verses do describe this quality of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ as being Al-Jalil.
Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam
English Translation: "And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor." — (Qur'an 55:27)
What does it mean to be majestic? The All-Majestic is an attribute only Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ can attain. What does it mean to be absolutely majestic? It means you have complete knowledge, strength, sovereignty, wealth, power, and dominion, among all the other attributes. His majesty is unique and immeasurable. It bears no resemblance to anything past, present, or future. There are many names which denote Allah's سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ greatness. For example, Al-Jalil is 'The Majestic' because of the perfection of all His attributes/qualities. Al-Kabir (the great), whose very essence is to be perfect. Al-Azeem (the magnificent one) - the one described as tremendous because of His attributes. All the attributes which mention the greatness, majesty or transcendent nature of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ are called attributes of Jalal (majesty). The other attributes (i.e., mercy, kindness, care, provision, sustenance) are attributes of beauty (Jamal). It is said by scholars all of His names are either attributes of Jalal or Jamal. They are also interrelated, the majesty of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is His beauty, and His beauty is His majesty.
When Allah revealed Himself to Musa (as):
Wa lammaa jaaa’a Moosa limeeqaatinaa wa kallamahoo Rabbuhoo qaala Rabbi arineee anzur ilaik; qaala lan taraanee wa laakininzur ilal jabali fa inistaqarra makaanahoo fasawfa taraanee; falammaa tajallaa Rabbuhoo liljabali ja’alahoo dakkanw wa kharra Moosaa sa’iqaa; falammaaa afaaqa qaala Subhaanaka tubtu ilaika wa ana awwalul mu’mineen
English Translation: "And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, 'My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.' [Allah] said, 'You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me.' But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, “Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers.'" — (Qur'an 7:143)
This ayah explains how Musa (as) asked to see Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ. But Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ responded that no one could bear to see Him, warning Musa (as) of the danger. Instead, He made His presence to a nearby mountain. What followed was the decimation of that mountain. It was said the mountain was leveled or flattened, meaning it was transformed into a flat land or a small hill. In that split second, just being close to His presence, Musa (as) fainted.
Reflection: The connection of this story with the name Al-Jalil is Allah's beauty and majesty can't be understood through sight. The way we metaphorically see Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is through the study and understanding of the attributes that make Him “All-Majestic." Imam al-Ghazali writes of Allah's attributes, "and that is beautiful comportment 'or' beautiful disposition' perceived by insight rather than by sight." The one who understands how the inner has been perfected and properly proportioned will gain much more understanding and satisfaction than the one who judges beauty just by sight.
In this hadith, we see where the attribute of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ as being called al-Jaleel originates, Mu'adh ibn Jabal narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, said: 'Those who love each other for the sake of My Majesty (جَلاَلِي) shall be upon podiums of light, and they will be admired by the Prophets and the martyrs.'" [1]
This also covers the important topic of loving for the sake of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ. It's a message that encourages us never to stop searching for the good in humanity. To love your fellow person unconditionally because that's what Allah loves and will reward us for doing. Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying: Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have a mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine. [2]
The believer further benefits from knowing and understanding Al-Jalil by trying to perfect his interior attributes. Doing so will bring more beauty and pleasure into this world than any superficial looks could bring. As Imam Ghazali writes, "exterior beauty is of lesser worth."

While discussing the virtues of 'Uthman in his expansive book of history, ibn Kathir mentioned the following:
[وقال سفيان بن عيينة: ثنا إسرائيل بن موسى، سمعت الحسن يقول: قال عثمان: لو أن قلوبنا طهرت ما شبعنا من كلام ربنا، وإني لأكره أن يأتي علي يوم لا أنظر في المصحف. وما مات عثمان حتى خرق مصحفه من كثرة ما يديم النظر فيه. ]
Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah relayed from Israa'eel ibn Moosaa who heard al-Hasan say:
'Uthman said, "If our hearts were pure, we could never get our fill of the Speech of our Lord.
And as for me, I hate to let a day go by without reading from the mushaf."
And by the time 'Uthman died, his mushaf had become torn from how often he used to read from it.

As Muslims it’s forbidden to celebrate Halloween. Why?
🔺7 Good Reasons why Muslims do NOT celebrate Halloween🔺 by Asma bint Shameem
1️⃣ Halloween, All saints day, All hallows eve or All souls day was a festival held to honor Samhain the so called "lord of death".
2️⃣ It’s a festival with pagan and Christian roots where demons, witches, devils and magic are venerated.
3️⃣ The reason for offering candy is the pagan belief that evil dead souls come back to earth this day. If someone offers them “treats”, they leave them alone. Otherwise they “trick” them and cause all sorts of havoc in their life and may even possess them.
4️⃣ The word jack-o-Lantern is actually an abbreviation of "Jack of the Lantern." Jack is supposed to be some guy who was fond of playing tricks on the devil. So Satan got annoyed and tossed a burning coal from hell towards Jack. With the coal in his "lantern" Jack was condemned to walk the earth forever searching for rest. Now people jack-o-lanterns on their doorsteps and windows to ward off the spirits of the dead on Halloween. Astaghfirullaah!
5️⃣ Witches and magic have nothing to do with Islaam. In fact practicing witchcraft is Kufr.
🍃Allaah says:
“Sulayman did not disbelieve, but the shayateen (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic…” (Surah al-Baqarah :102)
🍃 And the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Avoid the seven things which will lead to doom” He was asked, “What are they, O Messenger of Allaah?”
He said: “Associating anything with Allaah, witchcraft…” (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)
6️⃣ Halloween is a celebration of the *non Muslims. *
🍃 The Prophet ﷺ said:
‘Whoever imitates a people is one of them.’” (Abu Dawood, 3512; hasan Saheeh by Al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood 3401).
7️⃣ It is NOT the way of the Muslims.
🍃 Allaah says describing the Believer:
‎ والذين لا يشهدون الزور
“And those who do not witness falsehood..”   (Surah al-Furqaan 25:72)
🍃 Mujaahid and others said that falsehood (Zoor) refers to the festivals of disbelievers.
🔺Can I at least offer them candy❓
No. It’s not permissible to even give out candy  because doing so means you are condoning and affirming this pagan shirki festival and cooperating in it.
🍃 Allaah says:
“Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment.” (Surah al-Ma’edah:2)
🍃 And Allaah says:
“Whosoever intercedes for a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in its burden. And Allaah is Ever All-Able to do (and also an All-Witness to) everything“ (Surah an-Nisaa:85)
🔺So what to Do❓
🔺Do NOT participate in this shirk and satanic celebration.
🔺Do NOT offer candy. Simply TURN OFF your porch light and they won’t bother you.
Even if they do ring your doorbell, you do NOT have to answer. It’s YOUR house. NO ONE can “force” you to open the door if you don’t want to.
🔺EDUCATE your children about the shirk and evil involved in celebrating Halloween.
🔺You DON’T have to find an “alternative” for your kids on Halloween. Simply STAY HOME. It’s NOT a day for ANY kind of “celebration”. It’s just a normal, regular day.
🔺Allaah HONORED you with Islaam. Be PROUD of your Muslim Identity. SHOW it with your actions.
You do NOT have to celebrate such festivals to “fit in”.
🍃 As Shaikh Moosaa Richardson said:
“Halloween is an annual celebration of non-Muslims, honoring witches, demons, & magic. Educate your children & don't allow them to go out begging for candy from your neighbors in a disgraceful act of imitating the most misguided & bankrupt people. Take HONOR in Allaah’s Guidance.”
And Allaah knows best.

I began to write about the best of creation ‎
But my words failed to convey his position
Suffice to say, he was absolute perfection
Yaa Rabb, favour us with his intercession
O Allah! Accept the intercession of our Noble Master Muhammad ‎ﷺ which is most weighty, raise him to the highest rank and grant him whatever he has asked for, in this world and in the hereafter just as You granted it to Ibraaheem and Moosaa عليهما السلام.
