Experience the tale as old as time.
The long enchanting wait is finally over! Beauty and the Beast is here and everyone can’t wait to be dazzled by Belle’s sharp wit and Beast’ sincere love.
Monster RX 93.1 gave away tickets for the premiere of the film and three pairs of lucky listeners and three pairs of Monster followers got to watch the most-awaited movie adaptation of the year.
The event at Robinsons Movieworld Galleria was jam-packed. There were also exciting surprises from our partners and sponsors.
The Daily Survey’s Jay and Lexy hosted the event and treated the guests with fun activities as everyone waited for the film to roll.
Before the movie started, selected monsters who attended the movie premiere played some games and received goodie bags from Zesto Choc-O and Sunburst Select. Guests had a chance to mingle with others and watch those who participated in the games. Hefty parcels of refreshing juice packs and creamy chocolate drinks were given away too.
Here are some photos from last night:
The film stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice, and Josh Gad as LeFou. The film is directed by Bill Coldon with a screenplay written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
Beauty and the Beast is the live-action adaptation of the 1991 classic Disney movie with the same title. The film follows the plot of the original animation with a young independent girl seeing through a prince’s hideous exterior and falling in love.

4 Things to Know About Beauty and the Beast
Before dancing and singing your way to the cinemas, here are some fun facts you should know about the new Disney film:
At first, Disney was not sure if they want the adaptation to be a musical
According to Vanityfair.com, Bill Condon said that when he first spoke with Disney about the movie, they were not sure if the adaptation is going to be a pure musical. But as a big Disney fan, Condon told them that "With all due respect, I think you're crazy. The songs are too good. You're going to spend all this time making a huge, gorgeous live-action "Beauty and the Beast" and not do 'Be Our Guest'?"
The latest adaptation features risque songs that were not featured in the first film
The song ‘Gaston’, penned by Howard Ashman, has lyrics that never made the final cut of the 1991 film. The new film adaptation features songs with slightly longer and more matured lyrics.
This film is a pure musical reel that will definitely become a classic
The Beauty and the Beast adaptation is the fifth Disney live-action that is a fairy tale-themed musical. The other four were Cinderella (2015), Into the Woods (2014), Enchanted (2007), and Mary Poppins (1964). This movie is also the first to be treated as a pure musical.
John Legend and Ariana Grande recorded the official soundtrack of the movie
As unlikely as it seems, the Grande-Legend team up was a perfect match after all. John Legend’s warm tone complements Ariana grande’s light and sweet voice. The newly revitalized theme song was fully released last February 2017, following the release of the last full trailer for the film adaptation. The original song "Beauty," performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, won two Grammys, a Golden Globe, and Best Original Song at the Oscars.
