Aedris Stonebreaker, an adventurer, blacksmith and knight prodigy who stumbles upon Blare in search for treasures and loots galore. While he doesn't have any good dreams in particular for now, All he ever wished was to become rich, living with extravagant loots and riches for a luxury. and being the muscle of the group,and being the hyperactive and a hot-headed warrior he is, he often gets himself into trouble more often whenever he has a rough way of saying things as well as his eye for beautiful women (sparing the appearance of his attractive friends though Blare, Aeshi and Melody)

A prodigy of a family who practices divine mystical traditions, she ran away from her mother and father due to their constant arguments tear her beloved family apart and how being idealistic the two where on polarizing directions suppressing her life to love what she enjoys most. She joins Blare and Aedris in perhaps for a search for her family heritage and her grandparent's remains somewhere in their region so she could one day to have her family to make amends.

Water Magic **(similar to Azura from Fire Emblem) + Polynesian Taekwondo

Origin Similarities: Polynesian, Asia and Unspecified European Region *perhaps celtic??

Likes: Sigmund her Lover (Salamence), The two trainers who went on her adventures (I’ll introduce them soon, their base on Ruby and Sapphire though)  Peace and Serenity, Harmony and Beautiful thoughts, her beauty (which she’s honestly and modestly proud of), Magical massages and salons, her proud vigorous and strong graceful legs which she use for kicking especially and Ocean Life.

Dislikes: Chaos, Insincere People, Her strict father King Raidos (Gyarados)**she still loves her father despite his strict personality, Lightning and Electric Base attacks, Her powerful gifted and strong but yet cursed and fragile fragment mark.

A popular beautiful princess  heir from a monarch  kingdom from her father, King Rydus (Gyarados Gijinka) in a majestic land surrounded by the seas. Princess Melody is King Rydus's only daughter left, grieving in the sad lost of their beloved queen priestess (A Milotic and Melody's mother). With no one else to rule besides her father, she has set herself with courage to continue ruling their kingdom on behalf of her beloved mother and the kingdom's hard working ordinance to settle peace through out the lands and for the love of her people. Luckily for the ironic princess, she easily make anyone friends around her compare to the complexity of her father issues. She sets on an important goal to two of her beloved friends Raid and Naya (who were not locals in their kingdom but unwordly young foreigners) to spread peace and love throughout the land, to solve the curse of their region saving everyone and have them return to their own worlds.

I’m just gonna run by a few points that I noticed in some of the characters and some extra stuff.

Color palette. We discussed this.

Zafira is the only halfbreed in the tribe. The only reason she’s there is cause Cole had mercy on her as a child.

The Fire Nymph tribe is not a monarch so there isn’t a king, queen, etc. They have ruling families but it’s not a royal bloodline thing it’s a who’s the strongest family kinda thing. Kinda like all those Chinese dynasties. I guess it’s considered an oligarchy? But the only official title is “Warlord”. Topaz isn’t a princess, she’s just the daughter of the warlord.

Flame Ceremony. Probably would be better if you read the fic but I’ll break it down. Long flame hair; ideal, super good, means you’re probably strong warrior or fertile af. Short flame hair; not super ideal but it’s not a death sentence or anything. Just have to try harder to be a good warrior or probably just specializes in a different skill. Can be subjected to teasing, etc.

Social Classes. The warrior reigns supreme and anything else involving war and fighting follow after. So tacticians and blacksmiths are still pretty good jobs to have if not a warrior. Scholars and scribes are lower class since they don’t really focus on those skills. Kinda like a jock/nerd thing but the jocks rule the land.

They don’t really have books for like entertainment purposes. All their war stories, legends, and rules are shared orally. The only know how to read and write so they can communicate efficiently on the battle field with letters. Cole is the first to want to bring books into the tribe and is the first to start writing all their rules down.

The Fire Nymphs don’t know anything about the kingdoms on the surface, they do know about the Lucitor kingdom since they are enemies.

And uhhh, that’s all I got for the important stuff if you want your character to be more legit. Though I kinda like seeing some other ideas getting thrown in so feel free to do that.

I wanna get into cdrama but the thought of watching a show that's obviously undergone censorship bothers me. Can you rec me historical and/or fantasy dramas where there aren't any evident last minutes changes, cut content, suspicious inconsistencies etc.? I understand that to an extent all series have been influenced by censorship but I think I can manage if it's not super obvious

I totally get you, Anon! As someone who grew up in a (different) Communist dictatorship, I am so used to existence of censorship I just roll my eyes at it but I can see how it can be jarring.

This said, the vast majority of Chinese dramas are not particularly affected by it in any way that you can see cuts or changes (and for all I know, were approved as is.) Sure, if you are making a drama with a gay main couple or a serious political period show, you are more likely to get the snip, but the majority of them fall outside of that sort of thing (The Wolf is notable precisely because it is an exception to that general rule, being a harmless romantic period fantasy that sent censors into fits for reasons I can speculate over all day.) The vast majority of recently cut dramas are mostly cut for length not content since shows that are shown on TV cannot be longer than 40 episodes, and it’s a relatively recent cap so a bunch of shows that want the greater prestige and money from being on TV versus just streaming (majority of shows are streaming only) that were filmed pre 40 ep rule, try to cut down to 40. (And streaming-only shows cut for length too for a variety of reasons.)

And honestly, I think censorship was also a lot less heavy-handed prior to 2015-2016 or so.

Anyway, here are a wide variety of dramas, from long to short, from serious battle epics to fluffy romance, that I love and that do not look like any scissors were taken to them (I mean, they may have been, but you cannot tell either way.)

I’d add The Sword and the Brocade to the list but it’s still airing so I have no idea if it will keep being good the whole way through.

I’d also recommend Monarch Industry/Rebel Princess - it was somewhat cut but for length not censorship (from 80 eps to 68) so there are really no narrative gaps to me.
