Family Ties | Part Thirteen
Masterlist | FT Masterlist
Part Thirteen.
It had been a week since the incident at the club, you’d finally left Ada’s, coming home to Tommy, you were still making him work for forgiveness, but you couldn’t bear being away from him for too long, even after that night he was still your safe place.
You’d noticed the flash of guilt fall across his face every time he noticed the newest mark on your skin, the mark that was caused because he wasn’t there to protect you, Ada had been going on about you getting it checked out, it looked sore but you hadn’t wanted to go, to admit someone had hurt you in such a way, you didn’t want Tommy to get the blame for something he would never do to you.
Tommy was trying his hardest to make everything up to you, it started with flowers delivered to your office, coming home to freshly prepared meals, baths run in the evening with your favourite bubbles and a glass of wine.
The night before he’d taken you out to your favourite restaurant for dinner, once you were home he’d carried you up to bed, made love to you, pulling whines and moans from your mouth over and over, letting you know how much he loved and appreciated you.
-
You’d told Tommy you’d go back if he needed you too, he hadn’t asked, but you knew all three of them were downstairs in the office making plans.
You’d spent the morning in your study, catching up on work. You could hear Tommy talking in his office as you made your way to the kitchen for some food.
Polly sat at the table, looking up at you as you made your way in “Afternoon” she smiled, “What are you doing sitting here Pol?, You should have come up” you smiled, grabbing two mugs to make tea, “I had to leave the office, those three were bickering like children. I was just trying to get some paperwork from your husband” she sighed.
You rolled your eyes, they would always end up bickering after too long in the same room, “What did you need? I can grab it” you offered, she shook her head “I’ll get it later, come here” she beckoned you over.
You frowned, walking over to her “you’re pregnant aren’t you?” she smiled, hand on your stomach, “No, uh well I haven’t checked” you stumbled over your words, you had stopped checking after the appointment after being told it would be impossible.
Polly gave you a nod, she understood, “Check” she urged, you bit at your lip “I can’t be, the specialist said” she shook her head, stopping you mid sentence, “they couldn’t guarantee could they?” she pointed out, you shook your head “I have tests upstairs” Polly ushered you out of the kitchen with a beaming smile on your face.
-
"We need to stop this right now" you barged into Tommys office, John and Arthur whipping their heads round at you, "but y/n we're so bloody close, you said you’d go back" John tried to reason, you threw him a look "send Esme then John" you retaliated
"She's got kids at home" he frowned, you were in front of him in seconds finger jabbing at his face "right because I'm fucking barren I should do the dirty work eh?" you spat, you never had this tone with your brother in-laws, but after the events of the other week, your patience was wearing thin.
“All that talk about stopping when I say, was that just a lie?” you turned to Tommy, “Y/N” he went to speak, but you shook your head “Don’t try to justify yourselves, all three of you are enjoying this too much, but I promise you right now, you won’t be getting me back in there” you were out of breath, body shaking with anger.
You’d given them Sam’s entire schedule weeks ago, but they were keeping you in there for their own selfish revenge. Now this, John arguing that you needed to stay there, needed to let them end it their own way.
Tommy hadn't said a word that was fueling your anger, you chucked the pregnancy test on his desk, all three men looking at the digital display 'pregnant' clear as day, you fished another one from your pocket chucking that with it.
You stopped at the door “just hurry up and kill him". You were calmer now, holding your husband's stare. He gave you a small nod before you closed the door.
-
Minutes later the door opened, Tommy rushing over, kneeling down in front of you, “I’m sorry, so sorry” he was taking your hands in his, kissing at your knuckles, you watched him, pulling your hand away slowly.
“You’re always sorry Tommy, you’ve been sorry so much the past few weeks” you were trying to keep your composure.
Tommy frowned, moving to sit next to you, you were aware of Polly slipping from the room “Y/N, I-” you shook your head “No, you’ll listen to me for once” you fixed him with a stare.
“We’ve been together for five years, I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m always repaying for you for taking me out of that shithole, I’m your wife, you wanted me to be your wife and now I’m carrying your child, our baby and you don’t get to apologise over and over for how you behave, you need to think of us, of this” you gestured to your flat stomach.
“Think of us before you think of the business, of revenge and making people scared of the Shelby family for once, we are the most important things to you and if you fuck, if you can’t see that then I don’t think I can stay” you felt your lip quiver as you finished your sentence.
Tommy looked shocked, he grabbed for your hand “No, Y/N fuck you are the most important thing to me you and this baby, this baby we’ve wanted for so long” he looked worried, squeezing your hand.
“We have, but I’m worried, I don’t want to do this on my own” you took a deep breath, Tommy moving to sit next to you cupping at your chin “Y/N, please I promise to keep you and this baby safe”
“And when you just don’t come home one day? Then what?” you bit at your lip, “You don’t have to worry, I’m always coming back to you” his thumb ran across your bottom lip “always coming home for you” he repeated.
You nodded slowly “just be fucking careful” you warned, with a small smile, letting him kiss you softly, “Fuck baby, what made you test” he asked, pulling back from your lips.
“Polly sitting in the kitchen and announcing to me I was pregnant” you laughed lightly, Tommy nodded knowing his Aunt so well, “Tommy, this needs to be over with” you were so anxious.
Tommy moved so he could pull your back against his chest “Arthur is sorting things, we’ve got a plan” his hand fell to your flat stomach “Don’t listen to John, he’s an idiot” he added, you nodded turning your face to look at him “I love them Tom, but they do the most stupid things” you laughed lightly.
You placed your hand over his “Our little human is growing in there” you giggled, you couldn’t believe it, you were going to have his baby, “half me, half you” he hummed, moving the material of your shirt up slightly, fingers tickling against your skin.
-
Once again thank you all for the likes, comments & reblogs - if you love this series let me know in all the normal ways! appreciate you all!

More than that
Tommy Shelby x reader (Modern)
Master list
Summary: Tommy inherited something unexpected, but that will lead him to meet someone who’s looking a match for her own inheritance.
A/N: I think sometimes I write things that are out of a fairytale and there are times where I just need to write something like this, in an attempt to pour my heart and soul. This little story has been for a while in my mind but finally I was able to put it out there for you to read so bear with me if you notice a bit of nostalgia until Miss Sunshine shows up.
Word count: 2.5 K
To my niece, Ada… I want you to have my personal belongings like jewelry, clothes, keep what you like and donate the rest.
Everyone but him have been mentioned already in Polly’s will.
Shifting uncomfortably, he folded his arms as a way to protect himself.
And to my nephew, Thomas you can keep my china cabinet.
The lawyer’s voice drifted away. A chuckle escaped his lips thinking it was a joke.
“That would be all, if you agree I just need your signature and we can start the process to change the name in the properties.” The man added taking off his glasses.
A china cabinet. It had to be a fucking joke.
She was still mocking him, even after passing away.
Looking at his siblings, Ada gave him a sympathetic glance, Arthur walked towards him.
“Maybe she liked that cabinet so much.”
Tommy scoffed. It was like getting a hard slap.
But he couldn’t blame his aunt after all, she gave away her belongings the best way she thought. And he didn’t need any money.
“I’ll send someone to get it tomorrow.” He stated waving them goodbye. “Mr. Slate, can I speak to you for a few minutes?”
Tommy rolled his neck to stretch it as the lawyer asked him if he needed something.
“I need to change my will. Add my son Duke instead of Ruby. Half and half of everything.”
“Alright Mr. Shelby I’ll prepare the draft and send you the papers.”
Thanking him, Tommy walked away.
Lizzie had already asked for divorce and this time around he signed the papers without a second thought. In a very short period of time, he found out about Duke, lost Polly and Ruby, divorced Lizzie and Charlie moved out of Arrow House with her.
He was done.
Going home didn’t sound so appealing, he was by himself so instead he marched towards the Garrison for a drink.
****
Y/N arrived home, it was a bit strange to be back this early but she had asked to get the day off work to be able to do all of the things she had written down. It had been a busy morning, she finally took the bag full of clothes to the donation center, allowed herself to visit the dentist office and crossed the entire city to pick up the only thing her uncles let her inherit from her grandmother.
Carrying the box with extra care and love, she placed it on the kitchen table. She had every piece carefully wrapped in bubble and of course it was heavy, her arms were aching but she didn’t want to give them the chance to take it away from her.
Somehow they decided after not taking care of their own mother that they’d sell the house where Y/N lived all her life with her grandmother and divide the money between the three of them, leaving her no choice but to move out immediately. They barely visited her in the last ten years and if they did, it was for no longer than twenty minutes. When papers turned around and it was her turn to take care of her grandmother, Y/N didn’t even hesitate, didn’t ask them for any money for medicines or food, she took full responsibility and now she didn’t just lost her grandma, but her home as well.
Her uncles didn’t even thank her for all the years she devoted herself to look after her grandma, didn’t ask what or how she’d do now so she rushed to get a flat as soon as possible and tried to go on with her life.
Life isn’t fair sometimes, but she felt at peace with the fact that she was always there for the woman who gave her everything.
And now every time she sees her china set on display, she’ll think about her dearly grandma.
“Just let me find somewhere to put it first.” Y/N whispered out loud, her eyes laying on the photograph of the two of them.
“I miss you every day.” Y/N admitted. She had been learning to sort the grieving, it came and went as waves. “Would you mind giving me a sign to know that you’re still around?”
She asked finally, dealing with the lump in her throat.
****
As days went on, Tommy had forgotten all about the cabinet, until one day the hallway towards his office was packed with his siblings and secretaries trying to hang a garland to decorate for the holidays.
He tried to squeeze through the people but his coat got stuck in something.
“For fucks sake!” He muttered, earning a look from everyone around. “Someone take this fucking thing of here or I will.” He warned slamming the door to his office.
A few seconds later his sister walked in without even knocking.
“What’s the matter Tom?” Ada leaned against the window. “You can talk to me.”
But Tommy remained quiet covering his mouth with his knuckles and shaking his head.
It was getting harder and harder to see how little by little a family member passed away. He missed them all so much, more than he would actually express out loud.
He wondered what they’d say or do under certain circumstances. He missed their voices.
“I’d keep the cabinet but I can help you sell it online at least.” Ada offered, realizing her brother wouldn’t let her in.
“Do whatever you want, but get it outta here by the end of the week.” He advised in a serious tone grabbing a lighter and a cigarette.
“Can I use your phone?”
Without a second thought, Tommy placed it on her palm, not even bothering to ask about what she’d do.
A couple of minutes later, she walked in again handing his phone back.
“There you go, you’re welcome.” She added playfully. “Perhaps you should try one of those dating apps?”
Tommy shot her a death stare, his eyes saying more than his mouth could.
“Jesus, really get a girlfriend, a one night stand, anything.” Ada rolled her eyes and her heels clicked against the floor when she started to walk away. Her brother really needed something good in his life and he needed it right away.
Rolling his eyes, he let out a low scoff.
“Ada, please… mi life is a fucking chaos, a relationship, a woman it’s very demanding I don’t have time for that.”
With a smirk, his sister gave him a look. “The thing with love, Tom it’s that it happens when you less expect it.”
And with that, she left him alone with her words hanging around.
Tommy decided to get busy with some emails, as the holidays were around the corner, vendors would start to delay delivering and he wanted to keep busy for his own sake, the upcoming holidays were also a reminder of those who weren’t alive anymore, and he had a long list of beloved people missing.
It was dark when he decided to head back home, everyone had already left the office and once again, his loyal maid Frances was the only one there to welcome him.
“Your tea, and the bills Mr. Shelby.” She announced keeping a worryingly look.
“Thank you Frances.” He gave her a solemn nod.
Frances pondered whenever to ask her boss or not, but gathering the courage, she took a step closer.
“Mr. Shelby just wanted to ask you if we’re decorating the house?”
Tommy pondered for a few seconds he hadn’t think about it, it wasn’t like previous years, he felt like doing nothing. “Yeah, why not?”
Frances nodded and excused herself. Perhaps the decorations would help him cheer up a bit, he had been looking so sad lately, losing people had been taking a toll on him. So she decided to have everything ready as quickly as possible.
Tommy in the mean time decided to go into his own home gym to relieve some of the stress.
***
Finally he heard noise outside his office, the laughs would start any minute now, he already knew the routine by heart, people passing by with coffee, chatting about their plans for the upcoming days…
Staring at his phone he was reading the news focusing entirely on the business section, his free hand moved around his desk not realizing he was about to spill his drink.
“Shit.” Tommy hissed catching the glass right before it made a mess all over his papers. A few drops made it to his suit, but his laptop and documents were safe. Downing the rest of his drink, Tommy strolled to get a couple of napkins.
He was distracted to the point of almost bumping into someone.
“Oops.”
“Shit, sorry are you alright?”
“Yeah, you? I didn’t see you coming.”
Giving her a second look, Tommy felt paralyzed. “Should hang a sign to warn people I usually storm off like that.” He joked nervously, the woman before his eyes was more than eye-catching, but when she smiled shyly by his words, he felt like imagining a million ideas to see her smile again.
“God this is a total beauty. I can’t believe this, it-it’s perfect! Are you sure it’s free?”
Tommy arched one of his eyebrows, feeling confused. He could see she was excited beyond words about it.
“The woman who posted it, said it was free,” then giving him another look she gasped. “Ohmygooood! Is there some dispute over this piece or something?”
Still trying to understand, Tommy rubbed his chin absently. “Why don’t we start from the beginning so we can both understand what’s going on? I’m Thomas. Tommy.” He extended his hand at her.
“Y/N.”
Showing her the way to his office, Tommy thought how her personality was one of kind, she seemed so joyful and happy.
Closing the door, Tommy cleared his throat. “So you talked to my sister, Ada.”
“Yes she announced it on market place, replied me immediately it was available.”
For a few seconds, Tommy pondered about it in silence. Placing together the pieces of the puzzle in his mind, still trying to understand how did this happened because everything happened so fast but then he had a flashback to the day when Ada asked for his phone he had warned her to get rid of it within a week but she insisted on at least two weeks. In the end he gave in.
“Can-“
“Do you-“ she started to say at the same time, waving her hand to give him the chance to speak.
“Can I ask you why do you want this so bad?”
It was a simple question, but to Y/N it was harder to explain.
“I need somewhere to place the China set I got from my grandma.”
“She gave it to you?” Tommy asked with curiosity.
“She passed away, my uncles decided it was my inheritance.”
“Sorry didn’t want to be noisy. Well you can have it.”
“May I ask how you got it as well?”
“As a matter of fact, it’s my inheritance as well. From my aunt, I think she got it from her mother.”
Tommy explained with the hint of a smile appearing on his lips.
She could already see the cabinet filled with her delicate set, the paper in the background was gorgeous, the handles…
“It’s quite vintage… are you sure you wanna give it to me?”
“I don’t see myself placing a fancy China set, so yes.” Tommy stared at her confusion. “She did that to mock me, she actually had bunch of money, divided it between her son and my sister.”
“She sounds like a remarkable character.”
Tommy nodded, she was.
“Well, like my grandma used to say always bless anyone who makes something good for you, and even those who make you bad… I hope you get a million blessings back Mr. Shelby.”
Tommy pondered on Y/N’s words and how much it spoke of her. She was assuming he was a good man because he gave her something.
“I doubt I’ll get any, but thank you.” He chuckled.
Y/N shook her head but look in a different direction, the was something about him that made her feel nervous, safe but nervous.
“Would you give me a couple of days to hire someone to move it to my place?” Y/N asked.
Before she could even finish, Tommy was already shaking his head and pressing a few buttons on his phone. “It’s all settle, my men will do the delivery tonight.”
“I can’t accept that, you’ve already done enough.” She felt mortified, he could see it.
Unlike him, Y/N’s eyes were shining, she owned some kind of internal light that was illuminating everything she touched.
She was lighting the darkest parts of his soul.
“How could I ever repay you?” She wanted to desperately give him something in return for all the happiness he was giving her.
And in an instant, his eyes shone. And it was the most beautiful thing to watch.
“There are two ways I can think of.” Tommy walked towards the bar and took his time to light a cigarette. “Once you’ve it placed and decorated, invite me over to see how it looks.”
Y/N stared at him, her mind in blank he was taking off the jacket of his suit and she was able to admire how attractive he was, his hair was a mix of dark with pepper and salt, he had an impressive figure and she didn’t even want to start with his face so she had to shake her head a little bit to compose.
But there was a sadness in his eyes that made her heart ache.
“Consider it done. And the second one?”
Tommy took his time, trying to put into the right words what was crossing his mind.
“You know, Y/N… at my age after a wife that passed away and a divorce you’d think I’m a picky man… but I’m not, we’ll I am,” he chuckled, “but at certain level and one thing I’ve learned with time is how I no longer want to waste it in the wrong things, the wrong people.”
Y/N was captivated by his velvety voice, she felt like she was under some kind of spell, like she could only nod to everything he’d say.
“So after that long speech, let me tell you I’ve learned to recognize an opportunity when I see one, and I know those only let you get on the train once in a lifetime. So my second request is to ask you if you want to have dinner with me.”
Y/N mumbled something incoherent, she felt nervous but moved by his words. She had only came to collect the china cabinet and somehow ended up with an unexpected date with a man that wasn’t just handsome but generous.
“I think that’s a bargain I can’t miss.”
Tommy fixed his eyes on her then, and for the first time he felt like he had a reason to smile.
Something told him meeting Y/N wasn’t just by chance, there had to be something more than than.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed this little piece. I’m trying to clean my drafts as quickly as possible 🤶🏻🎄✨ remember your feedback is the most precious gift I could get xx

Let’s Get Home
Modern!Tommy Shelby x Reader
warnings: some suggestive language
“Don’t look at me like that,” Tommy said, his forehead still pressed against (Y/N)’s.
“Like what?” (Y/N) questioned innocently, although her sultry eyes were painting another picture.
Tommy stepped away upon hearing her question. She was able to see the change in his eyes, and that a grin was tugging at the corner of his lip.
Looks like this were being exchanged all evening as they wined and dined. Tommy had just returned from a business trip that kept him away for several weeks. (Y/N) missed him something fierce. Now it all seemed to be coming to a pinnacle as they walked along the river outside the stretch of city.
“Like you want to fuck me,” he answered her, his response holding no filter.
(Y/N) bit her lip now. She held his gaze through her eyelashes for a moment before finally letting her smile show. “Maybe I want you to,” she responded, prying her eyes away from him to look at the river.
“Tommy!” she shrieked as she felt herself being hoisted upwards. Within seconds she was resting on Tommy’s shoulder as he then began walking away from the spot they were in. “What’re you doing?” she asked, unable to stop her giggles.
“I want to, too,” he echoed to her previous response, a grin present in his voice as he reached up and tapped her ass, which made (Y/N) shriek again. “Let’s get home.”
I’d love to know what you think! — adding my Tommy taglist below the cut.

Scaredy Cat | modern!Tommy Shelby x fem!Reader
Summary: your boyfriend and your cat don't get along, they hate each other. When you have to travel for work and there is no one else to take care of your cat except for Tommy, you can't help but worry. What will you find when you return?
Warning: mentions of past animal abuse (not anymore), the cat gets sick, Tommy swears as usual, etc. If some of this might trigger you, don't read. There are mentions of smut but no real smut.
A/N: English isn't my first language, sorry if there are mistakes!
Peaky Blinders Masterlist - Cillian Murphy Masterlist
Tommy was very good with horses. Sometimes, just to tease him, you liked to call him 'Horse Whisperer Tommy'. He didn't find it funny at all. The truth is that he didn't get along so well with cats.
At least, this man was incapable of getting along with yours. And it was funny because most of the time he reminded you of an angry cat himself, the rest of the time too, being honest. Sometimes, when you were on the couch watching a movie with Tommy lying on your chest and you scratched the back of his head right where his hair was shorter, you would swear you could hear him purring, melting under your touch.
Your cat liked to make things difficult. The first time Tommy stayed over at your house, the cat took the space on the bed between the two of you, making it clear which was her territory and that you were hers. Every time he tried to get closer to you he was met with an outstretched paw that pushed him to the opposite side of the bed. You thought it was funny, he not so much. When you woke up you found Tommy's suit jacket full of orange hairs, crumpled on the floor. To this day the jacket still had traces of cat hair.
Moreover, how could you forget the day when Tommy was working on his laptop from your house and the cat bit the corner of the screen? Needless to say, Tommy couldn't continue working on whatever he was doing, which pissed him off so much, because the device stopped working. Your cat spent the rest of the day with a satisfied expression on her round face.
The rest of the time, the poor creature just hissed at Tommy every time she saw him. Eventually, she ended up accepting that neither of them were going to disappear from your life. At least you hoped it wouldn't happen in a long time.
From the bedroom you heard your boyfriend talking, his deep voice too low to understand his words. You assumed that he would be talking on the phone, always busy with work, even in his sleep he kept mumbling meaningless phrases.
You headed to the kitchen, after a long day at work you couldn't wait any longer to have dinner. Your cat appeared out of nowhere and began to walk between your legs, creating infinity shapes and wrapping her long tail around your calf. You bent down to scratch her belly when she leaned on the floor in the middle of the kitchen.
"You're so cute," you said in a childish voice, earning a sideways glance from Thomas, full of resentment.
"Cute my balls," he spat.
The cat looked at you with her eyes wide open, as if she were asking you ‘did you hear what he said?’ You jumped to your feet and put your hands on your hips, looking at Tommy with a raised eyebrow. "May I know what's the matter with you?"
“Your cat, Y/N,” he muttered, turning to you with his hand in front of his face. On the back of it was a deep cut, no, it was a scratch. "Look what the evil’s spawn has done to me."
You glanced at the cat one last time, she looked back at you and licked her paw innocently. Letting out a sigh, you took Tommy's hand in yours to inspect the wound.
"What have you done to make her do this?" you asked cautiously.
He responded with a huff. "Nothing. She came out of nowhere and jumped at me with her claws out."
You nodded in silence and began to disinfect his hand. Your cat was like that, she didn't like men. Actually, she only liked you. Sometimes you wondered if her bad attitude was due to her previous owners, who didn't treat her very well. The thought of someone mistreating your cat filled you with sadness as well as anger. Fucking bastards.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, to him and to her, a tinge of sadness in your voice which didn't go unnoticed to Tommy.
When you finished covering his scratch with a bandaid, Tommy grabbed you hand in his and gave it a loving squeeze before continuing placing the food on the dinner table.
-
You had always liked animals, when you were little you weren’t allowed to have pets because your brother was allergic to them. So, the moment you got a job in the city and moved out on your own, the first thing you did was go to the nearest shelter to adopt a kitten.
That was the initial idea, to bring a small cat home and raise it. However, when you saw the sad eyes of the orange cat watching you from inside her cubicle, you had the feeling that you were predestined to end up together. She was already an adult cat at that time but that didn't matter to you.
At the shelter they briefly told you that her former owners, whoever they were, had mistreated her and left her abandoned, half dead in a garbage can. A homeless man searching through the trash found her and took her there, where she was taken care of until she luckily recovered. You couldn't be more grateful to that stranger who cared enough to rescue her. Unfortunately, two years had passed since then and no one had wanted to adopt her.
She instantly won your heart. You took her home and named her Cat, like Holly Golightly's cat in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Plus, both of them looked alike. Of course, Tommy complained that it was a ridiculous name for a cat, similar as if he called one of his horses Horse.
-
A couple of weeks after the scratching incident with Tommy, you were notified that you had to travel to another city for a week on behalf of the company you worked for, which was great because it gave you the opportunity to explore new places. The disadvantage was that your cat was old and had to take a pill every day, for life. You didn't trust anyone to leave them in charge of such a task, but not going on the company trip would mean losing the opportunity to receive a promotion in the coming months. You didn't know what to do but you had an idea.
That night Tommy was going to visit you, so you would make him a suggestion.
After having dinner, Tommy and you started kissing passionately. Everything with him was very intense. His warm, calloused hands ran along your sides under your shirt, leaving a trail of goosebumps over your soft skin. Your fingertips scratched the shaved sides of his hair and he let out a moan, pressing his lips harder against yours, never breaking the contact.
You were starting to feel his bulge growing against your crotch, so you moved your hips against him, enjoying the friction. Now you were the one who let out a moan of pleasure.
“Fuck,” he murmured, burying his face in your neck as he panted. "Can't you make her leave, or at least make her stop staring at me like that?"
You looked at him slightly confused, following his gaze to the cardboard box where Cat was lying with her head resting on the edge of it, watching you without blinking. It didn't matter how many beds you bought her, none could beat the cardboard box. Rolling your eyes, you placed a hand on your boyfriend's face and caressed his sharp cheekbone, trying to get him to focus on you again.
"Just ignore her. Look at me," you said softly, kissing his jaw.
Tommy pulled away from you and sat on the sofa, running a hand over his face. "I can't, love. She's looking at me, killing my mood." He shrugged, looking sick.
You sighed, mentally saying goodbye to any possibility of Tommy fucking the hell out of you. "How bold she is, daring to look down on the great Thomas Michael Shelby."
He gave you a wide eyed look before frowning. "Are you making fun of me? Hey, where do you think you're going? Taking the beast to another room?"
"I'm going to get some water."
Once in the kitchen you took a couple of deep breaths, gathering the courage to talk to him. It was your opportunity to convince him to stay with Cat. You returned to the living room and sat next to him, crossing your legs on the sofa.
"Tommy, do you remember my work trip?"
He looked at you with a blank face for a few seconds until a spark of knowledge shone at the back of his eyes. "Yes, you're going away for a week. Is that right?"
You nodded, biting your lip. "Can I ask you a favor?"
His expression changed to one of suspicion. Usually you didn't ask for things, you didn't hesitate, so he knew you were about to ask him to do something he wouldn't like.
"It depends".
"You have to come in the morning to feed Cat, but not too much because she eats it all and gets sick," Tommy opened his mouth to complain but you were faster, placing the palm of your hand over his lips before continuing. "At night you come back and give her the pill with a bit of soft food, you have to pay attention and make sure she has swallowed it, okay? Also, change her water, because when she has it for more than a day she won’t drink it."
He gave you a small kiss on the palm of your hand. You removed it and looked at him through your lashes, expectantly.
"Anything else?" he asked, feigning boredom. You smiled. It had been very easy, you hadn't even had to convince him.
"Yes! You have to clean up her cat litter."
-
The day of your trip, you left everything ready so that when he arrived at night, Tommy would find things easily.
He opened your apartment door and stuck his head in doubtfully, there was no sign of the furry little beast. He was having flashbacks to the last time he stayed over, when Cat started running around the house making weird noises as if she was possessed by Satan himself. Tommy still felt chills remembering how the cat jumped into the bedroom moving sideways with her tail twisted while she howled. You couldn’t stop laughing, used to see your cat doing that almost every day, but Tommy kept saying that he witnessed a demonic possession that night.
But at that moment there were no howls or strange noises. In fact, everything was quiet. One of those silences that he had experienced so many times in his life before. The kind of silence that does not bode well. Tommy squared his shoulders, he wasn't going to get carried away by his superstitious ideas. It was just a cat. He would come in, give her the pill and some water, and then he would leave. Fast and clean.
As he approached the corner where the hallway turned to the left at a ninety-degree angle he stopped. Your cat liked to hide there before jumping like a lion hunting for its prey on Tommy's legs. He still had the scar from the last bite, he didn't want to take another one.
This time he was prepared. With a quick movement he stood on the next section of the hallway. But there was nothing. Frowning and feeling a bit ridiculous, Tommy walked through the house looking for the little beast until he found her lying on the sofa.
The cat was curled up in a ball, her head resting on the armrest. Only her green eyes moved following Tommy's movements as he approached her. She seemed kind of off and Tommy couldn't help but feel a tinge of empathy.
“Do you miss Y/N too?” he asked out loud. The cat blinked weakly. "This place feels weird without her around, huh?"
Tommy didn't know what to expect, some kind of reaction or something. The cat remained still, staring at the wall. He gave her one last glance, shrugging and heading to the kitchen. You had placed a note on the refrigerator door with more instructions, attached with a magnet in a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower that Tommy brought you from Paris.
He ran his fingertips over your handwriting, thinking. He was going to take you to France the next time you had holidays. The rest of the refrigerator was covered with polaroids of you smiling at the camera, the two of you together, you with your friends and family... and the cat.
'Ah yes, the cat.' Tommy remembered, turning around.
The food and water bowls were full, as if she hadn't touched them all day. That was strange, the feeling of something not going right increased. Grabbing a clean bowl, Tommy put some soft food in it and inserted the pill, completely camouflaged, before placing it on the floor in front of the sofa.
"Eat," he indicated authoritatively.
He was a man used to being obeyed in everything, everyone did except you. You were the only one who could handle him like a rag doll and he wouldn’t complain. There was no doubt that this cat was yours, she didn't even look at the food.
Tommy grunted, losing his patience. He grabbed the bowl with one hand and the cat with the other, pushing them together as much as he could. The animal did not resist, after a few minutes a third of the food was gone, including the pill, but she refused to swallow more. "As you wish," he murmured, leaving the remains of food next to the other bowls.
When he looked into the small laundry room where you had the cat's litter box, his heart skipped a beat. Everything was a mess, the floor was full of poop and vomit.
"Fucking hell," he muttered under his breath. Then he returned to the living room, ready to give the cat the reprimand of her life but stopped short. He hadn't noticed before but there were also traces of vomit on the living room floor. "Shit."
Just then his phone started ringing. Your name appeared on the screen. He cleared his throat and answered.
"Hello Tommy" your voice sounded happy although somewhat tired. "How are you doing, honey?"
"Good. I gave the pill to the beast, don't worry. Are you okay?" He spoke as fast as he could, trying to move the conversation away from the cat.
"Yeah, it's a little boring you know, all day in meetings and now they want to go to have dinner but I don't feel like going. I haven't been able to call you all day, as you can see I haven't stopped.” You let out a small laugh. ”Hey Tommy, thanks for taking care of Cat. It means a lot to me. I have to go, they came to pick me up. I love you!"
You hung up the call before he could say anything back. Leaving the phone on the coffee table, he walked into the balcony, feeling the cold wind against his skin.
Tommy leaned on the balustrade as he lit a cigarette, smoking slowly. You didn’t like him smoking inside the house, or smoking in general, but that was his problem and you couldn’t change it. This way the balcony became his territory. Once he finished, he went back inside, closing the door behind him. The last thing he needed was the cat jumping out the window.
He started cleaning everything the best he could while debating whether to call you again and tell you everything, that something was wrong with your cat, or try to fix it on his own. Yes, he would do that better. Tommy was a man of resources, he wasn't going to ruin your trip and worry you if he could take care of it.
After making sure everything was clean and the cat had food and water, he left your house, relieved that he wouldn't have to spend another second alone with that animal.
-
When he returned the next day and found both the food and water intact, he headed to the living room, where Cat was still lying in the same position as the day before. He felt his soul leaving his body.
Tommy swallowed and sat on the couch next to the cat. He approached his hand slowly to touch her soft fur, expecting the cat to hiss like she always did when he got too close to her. That would mean everything was fine. But that didn’t happen, the feline's only reaction was shuddering and letting out a pitiful whimper so soft that if he hadn't been sitting next to her, Tommy wouldn't have heard it.
Shit, shit, shit. He covered his mouth with his hand, his brain working at maximum power. He had to do something. Being aware of how important that cat was to you, if something bad happened to her... he didn't even want to imagine your reaction.
Without wasting another second, he dialed May Carleton’s number, the veterinarian who sometimes treated his horses. After explaining the situation, she told him to bring Cat into the clinic to take a look at her. Tommy picked up the cat in his arms, wrapped in a blanket, and held her to his chest like one does when cradling a baby. The poor thing let him do it, too weak to complain.
The drive from your house to the clinic was frantic, Tommy drove like a madman and once there he skipped the line in the waiting room, entering directly and leaving the bundle on the metal table. "Thomas, you can't sneak in like this," said May while putting on a pair of clean latex gloves.
"It's an emergency," he said, pointing to the metal table.
The vet's expression changed from annoyance to concern the moment she laid her eyes on the poor creature. "Okay, Thomas. I'll take over from here, why don't you wait outside?"
It turned out that she had eaten some plant that's poisonous to cats. This had caused her intestine and some other organs to inflame, or something like that. At least they had discovered it in time to help her.
The first thing Tommy did when he got back to your apartment was throwing away all the plants. The second thing was not taking his blue eyes off from Cat for a minute during the next three days.
-
At the end of the week you couldn’t wait any longer to go back home. You called Tommy several times but he didn't pick up the phone. Every time you had talked to him in the past few days he always told you that everything was going great. You had a hard time believing it. In about twenty minutes you’ll be home and you could finally hug your baby Cat and take a shower, in that order.
You stopped at the entrance of your home, leaving the suitcase and your shoes next to Tommy’s. He's here after all, you thought. The lights were off, all of them except for the one in the living room. You walked towards there and what you saw made your heart fill with love.
Tommy was on the sofa, fast asleep. Curled against his side was Cat, sleeping too. She was holding Tommy’s hand between her paws. You covered your mouth with your hand, hiding your smile. They were too adorable. Never had you thought the day in which the two of them could get along would come. Seeing them sleeping together seemed like a dream.
You took your phone and started taking pictures of them. The next week you would print one to put it on your fridge door, a new moment to remember.

The Secretary's Diary
Tommy picked up the notebook opened face down to the floor, but he wasn't prepared for the pages littered with erotic stories that would make even a man like him blush or for the fact that he was the protagonist alongside his stern secretary Y/N.
A/N: Today is the brazilian's equivalent of Valentine's Day and i didn't want the date to went by in a blank 😁 Hope you enjoy this little scenario 😉

'Tomas Santiago' 🚬 (Thomas Shelby Filo/Modern AU)
(note: F/N means friend's name) spotify link:
You and your friends decides to go to BGC after a long day at work. Your mother already warned you and your friends about a certain gangster group in BGC who's always wandering the streets at night and cause trouble. You were curious about this certain group because their faces haven't been exposed to the television due to the reason that the police never once catch one member of the group.
"Uy pre mag gagabi na ano na? Di pa ba tayo uuwi?" (Bro, the sun is already setting, should we go home now?) Your friend F/N asked worriedly about you. "Yeah, your mother already texts me that we should go home now" Your other friend replied. You stopped your tracks as you turn your head to them with an excited expression painted on your face. "Guys...what if we wait until the famous gangsters showed up? I mean bhe, what if kamukha nila katulad na katulad dun sa wattpad!" (what if they look like those gangsters in wattpad!) Your friends stared at you in disbelief. "Bhe...di masamang maging delulu pero kailangan na natin umuw-" (Bhe, it's not bad to be delulu sometimes, but we need to lea-) Your friend's sentence got cut by a fairly tall man that bumped into your friend's shoulder that looks like its an intentional bump "Ay sorry ha nabangga kita di kasi ako tumitingin sa dinadaanan ko..." (oh sorry, I bumped to you because I'm not paying attention where I was walking...) Your friend said in a sarcastic tone as she scoffs at the man. Meanwhile the man remained silent, puffing the air from his cigarette as his eyes were fixated on you. His eyes weren't the usual that you often see everyday. You find yourself drowning into his beautiful ocean eyes. Your friend looks at you in confusion and she quickly glanced behind her as she was absolutely starstruck by his appearance. "You, what's your name" "Putangina..." Your other friend hang her mouth open as she glanced to you and at the man who was still staring intently at you. "Y/N L/N po..." "Y/N...Did you come here often? Well, now you should..." The man sounds too demanding which makes you feel a little irritated. "Huh? Bakit sino ka ba?" (Huh? Who do you think you are?) The man chuckles as he waved his cigarette. He tilted his head on his head as he points the cigarette to you. "Thomas, Thomas Shelby...Remember that, darling since starting tonight, at this very place where I reign, you're now my property."

Everything is for sale...There is always a price
(A part 2 of a Peaky Blinders fic I've started. If you're a fan of the show you know the themes and violence so that's your WARNING.)
Things changed a bit after Tommy put you to work directly in his home, keeping you more so around his office and bedroom to make sure things are tidy. Barely anyone looked at you and it was rare anyone but Tommy spoke, he had seemed to have gotten used to reading your expressions or gestures so you didn't have to bother with attempting to speak.
Tommy was a mix of both, quiet a lot in his own mind but stern with others along with yelling at times he was angry. You've been observing him as much as he's observed you, a silent agreement that he's never raised his voice or struck you and you listen and keep things tidy. You assumed there was a rule that no one touches you after you knifed one of his men two months ago.
Things might seem good but you didn't forget who's house you're in. Tommy Shelby. Peaky fucking Blinders.
"You keep her around for a fuck now and then, Tom?", Arthur asks, laughing a bit as he downed a glass of whiskey.
"No. No, she keeps the place tidy.", Tommy sighs.
"At least she don't talk or make much noise. Probably fun to have without all the bullshit chatter.", Arthur adds in, refilling his glass.
"She can talk.", Tommy says bluntly.
Author sends a sideways glance, "Oh?"
Tommy nods, content.
Clicking the door open as quietly as you could, you paused slightly at the sight of Tommy and Arthur sitting around Tommy's desk. It wasn't allowed for you to clean when there were meetings and honestly you didn't care for any of the business as long as you knew enough to keep yourself alive.
Tommy waved his fingers at you, signaling it was okay and you gave a small nod, making yourself busy to gather empty glasses that needed washed.
It was silent, only the sounds of them drinking, your steps, and if their eyes watching you could make noise you were sure you could have heard it. Tommy picks up his glass, downing a big gulp of gin before placing it on the table.
"That'll be enough staring, Arthur.", Tommy clears his throat, you didn't even look up as you take the glasses away.
"What's your name?", Arthur asks, your eyes flicking up to him and then Tommy before looking at the glasses you had gathered on the tray.
Tommy drums his fingers on the desk, a light smile on his lips that he hid, it was bold of you to not reply, especially to a Peaky Blinder, although he knew you could handle yourself after you knifed a man for touching you.
Arthur sighs, rubbing his face, as much as the silence was interesting it unnerved him too, not used to a woman not answering him.
"Y/N...", Tommy rasps, "Her name is Y/N."
Again, a sideways glance from Athur, amused that Tommy knows that, "She told you?"
Tommy raises his eyebrows, shaking his head no. Your back was turned to them, tidying up another table in the corner, your own hidden smile on your lips that begins to fade as Tommy contuines speaking.
"I asked her father. I paid him a visit to ask a few questions and her name was one of those questions.", he speaks like you aren't in the room and maybe it bothers you, "Another question was why did he beat her voice out of her."
Maybe you picked up the tray a little too hard, a glass falling over and clinking against another but thankfully it didn't break. You could feel their eyes on you as you were making your way out of the office without being dismissed, again, a bold action but one Tommy let you do. You remember the bruising on Tommy's knuckles after he had been out one day not long after you had started work in his home, he must have went to see your father, you know that now.
Blinking back tears, it ashamed you of what you've dealt with but every day you've tried to convince yourself it made you stronger. How many women would knife a man, right? As your shoes clicked the hardwood floors, taking the tray to the kitchens, a man in a suit almost bumps you as he's wandering the house.
"Excuse me?", he looks down at you, eyes scanning to see that you're a servant. He's not a Peaky Blinder, the hair is all wrong, you can tell, but he wears a fine suit. No doubt someone in business with Tommy.
"I'm looking for Tommy Shelby.", he tells you, his accent thick.
You point him towards the office, walking away.
Alfie Solomons walks himself into Tommy's office, opening the door with the confidence of seeing an old friend and an old enemy that things are familiar with, "Tommy, my boy, you've got nothing but rude staff.", he tuts.
Arthur snickers to himself, getting up to get a fresh glass, "You've met the new staff."
Alfie shifts on his feet before walking himself to sit down where Arthur had been, "I asked a simple question an all she did was point. Didn't even offer a drink."
"You asked a simple question. You get a simple answer.", Tommy shrugs, steepling his fingers.
"Let's just get this fucking meeting over with.", Arthur grunts.
"No. Absolutely not.", Tommy tells him.
Arthur was silent.
Alfie staring back.
"Not for sale. I've made that clear. She's not part of the deal.", Tommy doesn't like repeating himself.
"Everything's for sale. Everything has a price. Isn't that what you always say?", Alfie asks.
(I'm sorry this was so long. I'm honestly surprised anyone read the first part. So, thank you all.)

Hi, Mar!! Following your idea, I'm sending you a question too, to celebrate this anniversary! 🔟❤️
You have the chance to give Tommy one (1) gift. But this gift is from this century, something that not existed back in 1900. What would you like to give him? 🤔
Flor I’ve to start this apologizing for taking forever to reply I’m so sorry!
At first you caught me off guard and I didn’t know what to give him because he already has it all, or he has an easy access to everything (almost) and then time flew but suddenly I had an ide of something that would touch his heart ♥️ Thank you a million times for sending in this ask!
I finally found the perfect gift for Tommy and I turned it into a little story 🎄I got the inspiration from a one shot I did back in the day so this would be like “their present day” “The Photoshoot”
****
It’s not about the gifts under the tree
Y/N stood in a corner next to the fireplace whilst everyone focused on their Christmas presents. They had full house, Ada had her Spotify playlist on, the kids enjoying the moment thrilled about the last adventure of the elf on the shelf and Santa’s presents.
And of course there was the empty chairs, the people who had passed away. And Y/N noticed that ever since Polly wasn’t around anymore it was taking a toll on Tommy, they were one, their bond was so profound, at another level… they understood each other completely.
“I think there was a present missing under the tree.” Y/N whispered presenting her boyfriend a box.
That caught Tommy’s attention, he hadn’t seen that box before, it was wrapped in a delicate deep red fancy paper with reindeers silhouettes as pattern.
“Love you didn’t have to give me anything.” It was strange for him the feeling of getting presents, when he was just a boy his parents didn’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts so he grew up with that feeling that it wasn’t necessary spend money on him, all the contrary because he went above and beyond for everyone.
“I know, but I wanted you to have this, so why don’t you hurry up and open it?” She encouraged softly, eager to see his reaction.
It was a big box with several boxes inside, there was a frown in Tommy’s forehead. Y/N bit her lower lip in an attempt to conceal her excitement.
As he ripped the white and gold paper, Tommy found a portrait that when he turned it around, he found a photograph in color of his beloved mother.
Time froze and his heart returned to normal as his fingers touched his mother’s features.
“How…” a million questions crossed his mind just as tears blurred his vision.
Y/N came around to circle him from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder. “Months before passing away, Polly gave me a few boxes of photographs, she thought I’d know what to do with it.
“I remember this photo, but it was damaged and it was in black and white.” Tommy choked, taking a deep breath to try to keep his emotions at bay.
“I edited it love, deleted the stains and colored the photo.” Y/N explained.
“Thank you.” He was fighting hard the lump installed in his throat.
Because as he took another box, he found a small album filled with Polaroids of pictures he had never seen before. His mother appeared in a couple dressed in a light blue dress in what seemed like her birthday celebration.
And before he could even ask Y/N how or when she got those, she whispered with a smile. “Found them in one of the boxes, then I learned how to convert film negatives into digital photos.”
Tommy couldn’t find the words to thank her for her thoughtful gift. Those photographs held memories of his loved ones, the only link he had to his keen and his past, and somehow she brought it back to life.
One by one, he revisited his past, his background through each Polaroid. And that was priceless.”There’s something else at the bottom.” Y/N pointed out when she noticed Tommy’s eyes were fixed on his mother portrait.
He blinked and looked at her in confusion. More? As if this wasn’t enough?
To his surprise, there was something else, a frame.
But it wasn’t any frame, Y/N plugged it and it came to life, showing Tommy a digital image of him and his mother.
“I might have used Photoshop a bit.” She explained nervously because of his silence.
The edited image showed him next to his mother and a blurred background, and making it look as if they got their picture taken together. His heart skipped a beat and suddenly another image appeared. It was Polly this time, a fabulous photo of her on her wedding day.
And so on many more images he had never seen filled the screen. He was mesmerized and shocked at the same time.
“This is the best present you could ever get me.” His words were full of gratitude. How could he ever top this?”How did you do that?”
Tommy asked so emotional when he saw an animated version of his mother, she was smiling at the camera, then looked away and finally she looked up in the sky laughing.
“I put together the series of photos I found, turned it into a video and looks like she’s moving.”
“Come here.” He pleaded, not finding the right words to thank her.
This wasn’t their first Christmas together, but it was definitely different. After been living together for almost a year, Y/N deserved the world, she had been so supportive after the sudden passing of his beloved aunt, she had been a wonderful step mother to Charlie, she practically took charge of everything to make this gathering for his family for Christmas to try to make it smoother for everyone specially the children.
Taking her hand, he placed a gentle kiss on her knuckles, his eyes saying more than his lips could.
Over the course of their relationship, she had been in charge of immortalizing several family portraits and important events like birthdays, holidays, school milestones… she loved it and to have a piece from his past as well captured in digital photographs was so important to her.
“Rose sent the Christmas card earlier.” Y/N added in an attempt to lighten the emotions he was going through.
“How could I miss it if you left it on my desk?” It was a family photograph Y/N took of her best friend Rose, her fiancé Alfie and their dog Cyril.
A soft giggle escaped her lips, their teasing would never end.
“I also happen to have another present for you.” Tommy added after a minute.
“Dad, Y/N look here.” Charlie interrupted their conversation, he was waving the instant camera she gave him and the kid had been snapping Polaroids of everyone.
“Charlie bring me my phone please.” Tommy asked pointing at the other side of the room. While his son skipped happily moving up and down the photo he took, he returned with a smile and handed the phone. “Show Y/N the wallet app.”
“What’s this?” Y/N was trying to process what she found on the screen.
“We’re going to Scotland tomorrow love, to spend New Year with your grandmother.” Tommy explained running his hand up and down Y/N’s back.
Now it was her turn to feel emotional over the gift she just got. Her grandma couldn’t travel anymore and she wasn’t in position to host a big party, but Tommy organized everything to spend a few days with her.
Leaning on his shoulder, she wrapped an arm around his neck, her free hand inviting Charlie as well. To them it wasn’t about the presents under the Christmas tree, but the people around it.
Thank you again so much for reading! Remember your feedback is the best gift you could give 🎄♥️✨🥰

Beach Day | Modern!Tommy Shelby x Reader
Request: no - but encouraged by @holacia3 with this ask
Pairing: Modern!Tommy Shelby x reader
Summary: (Y/N) manages to pull Tommy out of the office so that they can go on a trip. Once at their destination, they waste no time and have a much needed beach day. Or: Tommy forgets everything the second he sees (Y/N) wearing his shirt.
Warnings: language, some suggestive sentences
Word Count: 3332
A/N: this one’s probably going to flop, but I’m happy that I managed to finish it amidst the bout of writer’s block I’ve been experiencing. It was the other option on the poll I ran a few weeks ago. I haven’t got to take a trip to the beach this summer, so I decided to write about it instead. Enjoy! :)
A/N 2: this will be the last story posted in July … I’m going on a trip with my family next week and most likely won’t have any major time to write the other requests. I’m hoping that maybe I’ll be able to write and share some of the blurbs that I’ve got in my asks, but big stories have been halted until August.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
Comment/Message me if you’d like to be tagged in future stories like this one!
"...and you can't argue with me because I've already packed your bags," (Y/N) ended her pitch in an assured tone, setting her confident gaze on her fiancé, who was sitting across from her...at his desk, of course.
Tommy opened his mouth to speak, but the door to the office opening stopped him. Both he and (Y/N) looked over to it to find Polly entering the room. "I'm going to need you to hand over your diary," she said, walking right over to the desk, extending her hand towards her nephew when she stopped in front of it.
"I'm guessing you got her in on this?" Tommy asked (Y/N), his eyebrows raised as he looked between both women.
"I did," (Y/N) nodded in an assured manner, a tight-lipped grin present on her face, "and you're not getting out of it."
"Everything's been handled. Go take a break, Thomas," Polly added, moving her fingers then to remind him that she was going to need his diary.
"So it's been settled then, eh?" he looked at (Y/N) again.
"It has been," she answered him, a victorious smile present on her face, "give her the diary, Tommy."
"If I must," he sighed dramatically as he picked it up from his desk and handed it over to his aunt, making a big deal over it. Inside he was glad that (Y/N) had planned this out...he'd been working tirelessly on the business' latest expansion and hardly had a moment to breathe, but yet he wasn't going to stop and take one for himself. (Y/N) realized that and took it upon herself to plan the forced holiday.
"You must," (Y/N) stayed stern on her point, although the smile she was wearing was full on her face now. Tommy took one more look at his fiancée and couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face. There was not a doubt in his mind that he was ready to relax with her.
——
By that time the next day, Tommy and (Y/N) found themselves checked into a private resort that sat right off of a beautiful beach.
After unpacking their luggage, Tommy made his way out to the living area of the suite they were staying in with the intention of checking in on how things were back at home. He was thankful that this resort had high-speed internet, because he couldn't stand to be disconnected for too long. The flight to the resort was already pushing the limits...nothing would connect in that damned airport.
It seemed as though (Y/N) had other ideas of what they should be doing next. She exited the bedroom the second he'd gotten comfortable on one of the couches. Taking one look at Tommy made her audibly sigh and drop her hand to hit against her thigh, the sound of it making him look up from the screen.
He immediately noted that she had changed. Her comfortable airport attire had been switched for a swimsuit and a loose, practically see through dress that she was using as a cover-up. A pair of sunglasses rested atop her head and flip-flops covered her feet. How she managed to get changed so fast completely perplexed him.
"You're back to thinking of work already?" she commented, a bit of an exasperated look filling her features.
"You know how I like to check on things," he stated, defending himself as he shrugged his shoulders slightly.
"I do know, but we're on holiday, Tommy," she pointed out.
"Yeah, but we just got here."
"Yeah...and I'm already ready to go down to the beach."
"I noticed that."
"Tommy..." (Y/N) sighed, a frown forming on her lips. She held her gaze on him for a moment, watching and waiting for him to say something, before continuing to speak when silence persisted. "I'm going to throw your bloody phone in the ocean if this is how this week's going to play out," she threatened him, her voice holding a more serious tone than it had before.
"Just let me do it now," he bargained with her, "I didn't know we were going to get into things so soon."
(Y/N) pursed her lips as she thought about his suggestion. She finally responded after letting silence hang in the air for a few moments, "fine. You can do it now, but please don't let it become a habit, ok? This was meant to take you away from work," she laid out her stipulations.
"Fair enough. I'll curb it for the rest of the week," he agreed to her counter-offer, nodding his head to seal the deal.
"Good," she nodded in response to his statement. A few beats of silence passed before she spoke again, "I'm going to go down to the pool and wait for you, ok?" she told him her plan.
"Ok," he agreed, watching her as she walked over to where he was sitting. "Look beautiful, baby," he couldn't resist giving her a compliment, his eyes running over her body.
"Thanks, Tommy," she smiled at him, her stomach filling with butterflies as she leaned down to press a kiss to his lips. "Don't be up here too long, hmm?" she mumbled against his lips after pulling away.
"I won't," he promised her, feeling her smile against his lips before they shared one more kiss. (Y/N) stood upright again, smiling and nodding at him once more before she moved back over the island that broke up the kitchen and living space.
"You know where to find me," she told him while making sure that her tote bag was filled with the essentials: beach towel, sun tan lotion, hotel room key, and, of course, her latest book. She looked over to him, watching as he nodded one last time, before she made her way to the door of the suite.
There weren't many people sitting by the pool, so (Y/N) was able to find an open lounge pretty quickly. She set her bag down next to the chair and then relaxed back against it. The ocean's waves could be heard from where she was, and the calming sound of them made her shut her eyes and take a deep breath. It was good to finally be able to take some time and actually relax.
As a senior member of the Shelby Company Ltd.'s marketing team, she was working just as much as Tommy was. Always coming up with new ways of advertising; always keeping up with the different avenues Tommy was taking the company down. It was tedious and time consuming, sure, but she wouldn't have it any other way...the job was how she met her fiancé, three years ago.
With both of their busy schedules, neither really had the time to take a moment and relax...until (Y/N) made a point to now. She was thankful for this trip, and she was sure that Tommy was, too.
Some time passed as she sat, relaxing on the pool lounge. She wasn't sure how long she'd been out there; she wasn't really keeping time as she switched between laying with her eyes closed and watching the other people meander about the pool area.
Luckily she was doing some people watching when Tommy came walking down the stairs and into the pool area of the resort. She spotted him as he was descending the steps, and immediately noticed that he'd changed into his beachwear. The white t-shirt and jeans he'd worn while traveling was now swapped for a pair of gray board shorts and a baby blue linen button down shirt. She couldn't help but stare at him as he walked across the area to get to where she was lounging.
"Ready to go down to the water?" he asked as he stopped in front of her lounge.
"I see you're finally finished with your work," (Y/N) commented, pulling her sunglasses down slightly to peer up at him.
He chuckled at her statement, shaking his head slightly as he looked out to the ocean, "yeah, and it's finished for the rest of the trip."
"If you say so," she brushed off the topic as she sat up on the lounge, collecting her bag and making sure that she had everything she'd come down with. "Let's go down to the beach," she said with a smile as she stood next to him. Tommy nodded his head before allowing her to lead the way to the gate that separated the pool area from the private beach that the resort offered.
The beach was beautiful. The sand was soft, and the breeze coming off of the waves made the hot rays of the sun not burn so bad. One of the perks of the resort having a private beach was the fact that there weren't many people inhabiting it.
(Y/N) and Tommy quickly found a spot to set their things down. (Y/N) made sure that the beach blanket Tommy had brought with him (because she'd forgotten it in the room) was laid out underneath one of the umbrellas the resort had set up. She set the bag down on it before kicking off her flip-flops and lifting the cover-up from her body.
"Let's go down to the water," she excitedly said, flashing a look in Tommy's direction before she took off towards the waves.
"You're not even gonna wait for me," he responded, moreso to himself than anyone, a smile forming on his face as he shook his head. He could easily tell how much she was already enjoying this holiday, and he was so thankful that she'd planned it for them. It took him a few moments to undo his button down and set it into the bag before he too kicked off his flip-flops and began walking down to the water.
He approached (Y/N), who was standing facing the waves, and wasted no time wrapping his arms around her midsection. His actions made her shriek at first, but she sunk into his embrace in seconds. "Isn't it beautiful?" she asked him, swaying slightly along with him.
"It is," he mused, resting the side of his head against hers as they looked out at the waves. "The water's not too cold either."
"It's not," she agreed, her hands coming up to sit on his forearms, "let's go in," she said then, tapping his arms to let him know she wanted to be released. He obliged, and she took his hand to lead him out deeper in the water.
They made their way out to where the water reached their waists, stopping there even though Tommy thought that they could go out a little bit further. (Y/N) protested his suggestion, telling him that 'things might eat us if we go any further'. Tommy listened to his fianceé's statement and stayed where they were. They spent a good amount of time in the water, switching from swimming around, to floating with the waves, to (Y/N)'s personal favorite: hanging onto Tommy like he was a tree and she was a koala.
At least an hour of them spending time in the water had to have passed before Tommy finally decided to start heading towards the shore. His movement, of course, didn't go unnoticed. "You're leaving me?" (Y/N) questioned after she saw him take a few steps backwards. She was enjoying herself in the water and had had no plans of leaving it any time soon.
"I think I'm ready to get out of the water," he answered with the obvious.
"We've not been in here long though," she pouted.
"I need to go sit for a minute, love. I'll be just up there," he told her, motioning to where their things were. (Y/N)'s pout didn't subside, but she nodded and allowed him to leave the waves.
She watched him walk up the beach and sit down on the blanket they'd laid out. Her eyes lingered for a few moments before she went back to floating on the waves.
It wasn't long before (Y/N) was exiting the water and walking up to where Tommy had made himself comfortable. It just wasn't the same wading in the waves alone. She wanted to spend as much time with Tommy as she possibly could. A sight - that she honestly wished she'd be surprised to see - was waiting for her at the blanket though.
"I thought you said you'd ditch the work while we're here?" she commented as she stopped in front of Tommy, who had his face buried in his smartphone as he tapped away at the screen.
Her voice made him quickly look up, a surprised expression forming on his face as he noticed she was right in front of him. "I was just checking a few things," he told her, holding his hands up in surrender, his now locked phone present in one of them.
"Mm-hmm," (Y/N) shook her head as she moved over to where the bag was sitting so that she could grab a towel and dry off, "you do know the ocean's right there, right? I could honestly take that phone and give it a good chuck," she stated, making sure her body was dry.
"You wouldn't," Tommy responded, a slight tone present in his voice, showing that he was testing the waters.
"I just might," she quipped back, a grin on her face as she dropped the towel back into the bag.
Before she could move to sit next to him, light blue fabric caught her eye. She instantly recognized it as the linen button down Tommy was previously wearing. She picked it up without a second thought, draping it over her shoulders and slipping her arms through the holes. It covered her swimsuit clad body immediately and she was grateful for the soft, cool fabric on her otherwise warm skin. She'd just finished rolling the sleeves up to her elbows when she finally felt Tommy's eyes on her.
Tommy had been watching her from the second she came back to the blanket. His phone was quickly forgotten as he watched her dry off and then grab the shirt from the bag. Sure, she had her own cover-up, but he was so damn happy that she'd chosen to slip his shirt on over her body. Something about her wearing his clothes just got him going. Just when he thought she couldn't get any more beautiful, she went ahead and did something like this. He couldn't help but let his eyes travel up and down her frame.
(Y/N)'s eyes finally found his when he found her face once more, and she couldn't stop the butterflies from fluttering in her stomach as she noticed the look he was giving her. She wanted to make a comment, but it died in her throat as she just about melted under his stare.
"C'mere," Tommy finally spoke, nodding his head to the side as a non-verbal addition to his statement. She grinned at him and happily followed his direction, moving over to where he was sitting.
He brought his knees up and opened his legs slightly, offering her the perfect spot to sit down in; one that she quickly fell into. She easily got comfortable sitting between his legs; her back rested against his chest. Tommy wasted no time in wrapping his arms around her, pulling her even closer to his body as he leant over and began pressing kisses to the side of her neck.
"Tommy, stop!" she exclaimed through her giggles, finally trying to squirm away from his lips as his actions quickly became ticklish. He listened to her and stopped his kisses, but he didn't dare loosen up the grip that he had on her.
It was easy for his hands to find their way onto her body, being that she'd left the shirt open, and he couldn't help but let them roam her figure. He took his time, feeling every curve as he nestled his face into her neck; breathing in the sweet smell of her skin mixed with the sunshine that had been kissing it since they exited the hotel room. (Y/N) had practically melted into his body, absolutely loving the feeling of his hands as they traced her skin.
She waited until his hands found their resting spot on the sides of her waist, his arms crossed over her stomach, to finally speak again: "I see that I've got your mind off of work now," she said with a grin, turning her head so that she could see his face out of the corner of her eye.
"Oh you most certainly have," he answered, a grin laced into his words, "look so fuckin' beautiful in my things...always, baby," he mumbled against the skin of her cheek before he kissed it.
The butterflies returned as she heard what he had to say, and she couldn't stop herself from turning in his arms even more so that she could press her lips to his in a much needed kiss. "Love you, Tommy," she mumbled against them, smiling as he kissed her again, this kiss holding more emotion than the last. "I can't wait for the rest of this week with you," she said once they'd finally pulled away from each other. She was now sitting with her body turned more towards him, so she was able to look at him head on. She couldn't stop her cheeks from heating up as she caught the look of total adoration in his eyes.
"If this is a preview of what's to come..." he trailed off, a grin forming on his face as his eyes danced over her figure once more, "I already know that this trip is going to be one that's hard to top."
His cheeky comment that was accompanied by a rather suggestive glance, made (Y/N) gasp, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes and shake her head as she tried to distract herself from how his words actually made her feel. Why did there have to be other people present on this beach?! She had to look towards the ocean for a few moments to re-center herself from the look that was making her wonder what they could get away with out here.
A few moments had passed before she felt the sharp snap of her swimsuit's strap against her skin. "Tommy!" she shrieked at the sensation, her eyes snapping back onto him to see that a smug grin was now present on his face. He tried, and failed, to feign innocence before his expression dissolved into a grin and chuckles. "I can't believe you," she shook her head, gently pressing on his shoulders for him to get the hint to lay back on the blanket.
She wasted no time in pressing her lips to his when he did lay down, and he made a mental note to do things such as that more often if this was going to be how she responded to it.
After sharing a flurry of kisses, (Y/N) rested her head against his chest, not caring about the shine of sweat that was present due to the heat of the sun that was engulfing them. She was thankful for the shade that their umbrella was providing.
Tommy wrapped his arms around the small of her back underneath the shirt of his that she was still wearing, effectively holding her close to him...like she was going to be moving any time soon. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the serenity that was surrounding them; not thinking about anything but the beautiful woman laying with him.
Like he'd said before: if this was a preview of how the week was going to go, this was most definitely going to be a tough trip to top.

Damn this is so good 💔
As The World Caves In
Moodboard by forgottonpeakywriter
Wrote this on a bit of a whim because I was inspired by this song. A modern AU in which the reader and Tommy are in the British infantry in a fictional war. It's nothing but angst, folks. Maybe a bit of fluff?
Pairing: Tommy Shelby x F Reader
Fandom: Peaky Blinders
WARNINGS: war violence/themes, minor blood, romantic relationship, language
WC: 1454
Tag list: @eclecticwildflowers @emotionalcadaver @evita-shelby @minaethrym
Read on AO3 if you prefer. Otherwise, story below cut!
“That’s it?” John’s tone was far from steady now as he breached the silence that hung, poignant, in the air between the members of your squad after the command had come over the radio.
A piercing blue gaze met yours, and Tommy nodded, no less in a state of shock than any of you. “Twenty minutes,” he repeated. You could feel the pain in that gaze as he tore it from yours to look to each of his soldiers. “Twenty fucking minutes. Make them count.”
You loosed your headset, and switched it off, not wanting to hear the frantic radio traffic.
Twenty minutes.
You’d spent more time thinking up silly fantasies about being back home, about living back in domesticity, about sharing a peaceful life with Tommy. A life that now, you would never have.
Before you could meet his gaze again, you peeled yourself from the group and disappeared between a couple of the caved-in buildings, chest heaving with a quickening breath and your heart slamming against a now seemingly-delicate ribcage. You couldn’t handle the quiver in John’s tone, the unusual silence of Arthur, the blue eyes that used to warm the emptiness in your chest but now wove your stomach into knots and chilled your flesh colder than the brisk December air.
You barely heard your name called past the hot roar of blood in your ears, and you ducked into an opening in the crumbled brick of one of the building’s walls, M4 clutched to your chest beneath trembling fingers.
The building did little to counter the cold; its windows were shattered from gunfire and its walls were cut like Swiss cheese from the bombs that had landed not even a week ago.
Twenty fucking minutes, you thought.
You had spent more time taking lives. Spent more time destroying these very buildings to combat enemy forces.
At last, you found the closest thing to a sanctuary; the walls had held out in this building, and your eyes caught on the bright red of a vintage record player, nestled in its own little haven between a kitchen island and a desk with nothing but a few scattered pencils and a hairbrush.
Make them count, he’d said.
You stopped as an idea struck you, and you let your rifle fall to the floor, the weight leaving the strap around your shoulder as if it had been a chain tethering you to this wretched place.
And you decided that, if only for those twenty minutes, that you would have the life you dreamt of.
---
Tommy couldn’t remember what his last words had been to Arthur and John, and he couldn’t help but keep glancing at his watch as he wound his way through the abandoned buildings in search of you. You hadn’t been answering your radio, but he refused to shed it until the faint sound of an old song began to play through the drywall, and he paused, headset falling from his ears and his panted breaths stilling.
He called your name, shouted it from lungs aching from the biting air of winter and a throat bitter with the faint tinge of bile. A few furnishings were loudly shoved to the side as he muscled his way through a door that had been blocked off, and clambered over them through a narrow hall.
He held his watch up. Four minutes.
The music was coming from another doorway, shut to the dark hall; daylight spilled from beneath the frame, and the tinny notes of a record player began to form a cohesive song now, a song that he recognised as the first one he had ever danced to with you. When he inhaled, threads of juniper and smoke met his lungs.
As he stepped past the threshold into the barren kitchen, his aquamarine gaze snapped to you and the bright yellow dress that hung a little too loose around your frame to be yours, at the hair you’d let fall over your shoulders as if you were not a soldier but a girl, at the eyes that stared back at him as if you’d been waiting for him for a century.
“What is this?” he demanded, and you swallowed, fighting back a tear as you stepped forward.
Your eyes flicked to the clock on the wall as it ticked, and you reached a hand out to the sergeant. “Come here,” you said, your voice quiet and broken. You couldn’t say much more past the knot in your throat.
Something about his countenance softened around sharp features, and he dropped his headset to the floor alongside your rifle.
A calloused but warm hand met yours, sending a pleasant shiver through your body. The cold air bit at your bare limbs, but you pulled him close, the scent of him now inhaled past the juniper of the burning candles you’d set along the dining table.
A hot breath fanned across your lashes as his forehead tipped to yours, and you reached a hand to the bone of a hollowed cheek, to the dark, chestnut locks of hair that had grown out shaggy from years of service. And his eyes bore into yours as the world became blurry with your tears.
“There were still some things around,” you breathed, your breaths becoming one and your head growing light. “I found this dress in one of the closets. It was the only one there was.”
A smile pulled at his lips, and he chuffed out a laugh. “I hate yellow,” he said.
“I know.” You smiled sadly, trying not to glance at the clock in your peripheral, trying to keep your gaze locked in his as he swept the tears from your eyes. You studied the way his hair fell across his forehead when his gaze left yours to sweep across the dress once more.
“You look beautiful,” he said, and chapped lips brushed yours, your heart still slamming against your ribcage.
The clock ticked again, and your breath came shattered against the face you cupped in your hand. His fingers came up along your back, thumb moving back in forth in a lulling motion.
“In the bleak midwinter…” he breathed.
You blinked another onslaught of tears from your eyes, your lashes sticking together in the frigid air.
It was difficult to remind yourself, in this moment of pain that shot through your chest too viciously to not be real, that you had died already, that all of this was an afterlife, that none of this really belonged to you.
But you mirrored his words, your voice breaking.
The two of you barely stole a kiss before the air was ripped from your lungs, and you staggered falling against the table; his hand cupped your hip, dirtied fingernails digging into the fabric of your dress in an attempt to stabilize you.
Pressure erupted in your skull, and you couldn’t hear the music past the roar of bricks falling around you and the ringing of the shockwave. Caught in a swirl of smoke and debris, bits of drywall landed across Tommy’s hair, and shards of glass bit into your side as the two of you clung to one another on shaking legs and gasped for air. Blood ran in a line from his ear down the edge of his jaw, your fingertips growing sticky. Fear like nothing you’d ever seen glimmered in the blues of his eyes, eating at a heart that ached with yearning and tragedy.
The clock was gone now, the candles snuffed out in the cloud of ash that pervaded your burning lungs. Firelight gleamed against the side of Tommy’s face as a gout of flame engulfed your vision, and you uttered his name as if it were the only thing that could save you, but no sound came past the chaos around you.
A thumb ran up and down along your neck soothingly, and he said something back to you, but you furrowed your brow, looking to his lips to try and read what he said.
Keep your eyes on me.
The last of your breath was expelled from your lungs in a tremulous cough, and your fingers tugged at the lapel of his jacket in an attempt to bring him closer despite the searing heat that whelmed you.
The pencils and the record player struck you, but you kept your eyes glued to the twin blues that stared desperately back at you as if you were the only thing that could’ve saved him.
And before the flames could swallow you and the world could fully cave in around the darkening edges of your vision, his screaming soul was the last thing you saw in those piercing blues, reaching for yours in the inevitable darkness.

Kinktober: Tommy Shelby
Pair: Modern!Thomas Shelby x fem!reader
Summary: Your roommate's father doesn't approve of your vape.
Warning: Age Gap/Best friend's father/Dubious Consent/Tom makes reader get high
“I found it!” You yelled from across the dorm, your head poking out from behind the bed. Still partially stuck between the bed and the wall, you held up your strawberry-flavored weed pen to show Charlie. The amount of anxiety that losing it gave you was enough to realize that you and your roommate may have gotten a bit too reliant on the drug.
You brought the pen to your mouth, but Charlie slapped it from your hand. “Dude, my family will be here in minutes! It can’t smell like Ganja Gooch in here.”
“What? You don’t have weed up in Birmingham?” You laughed. From what you knew about his family, they weren’t the most…clean cut people in the world. Why would they be upset over something so trivial as a weed pen? In your two years of being best friends with Charlie, you’d never met his parents. Only his Aunt Ada, who was sweet.
He placed the pen on your dresser. “Shut up. When are you parents coming?”
Most of the already small dorm room was covered in boxes, trash bags, and miscellaneous crap. “At 5. You’ll probably be moved out by then.” You pocketed the pen and began folding your bedding to shove it into the box it originally came in.
His phone started to ring. “That’s my mum. Are you sure you can’t go to Mary’s dorm?” You still weren’t sure of the reason that he was so cagey about his family. He had been to your house over Spring break this year and you were still in the dark.
“I have to finish packing.” It wasn’t a lie, you had put off packing until the final day. Studying for exams and final papers took up all of your free time. That and Mario Kart.
You knew that Charlie came from a rich family, but this was a new level that you haven't seen before. His father dressed like he was from the 1920’s or something, with a full suit and peaky cap. You could smell the cigarette smoke infused into his clothes before you could see him.
His mother (or maybe step-mother, you weren’t sure) wore an elegant dress that was both fashionable and functional. Her deep brown hair was curled and pinned back. Her eyes lit up at the sight of you. “You must be the infamous Y/n!” She pulled you into a hug and you could smell her perfume mixed with a bit of her husband’s smoke. “You’re even prettier in person than in those silly Instagram photos Charlie posts.”
“It’s really lovely to meet you, Mrs. Shelby. I can’t believe we’ve been friends for so long and have never met before.” Charlie was still holding the door open for his little sister, Ruby, and didn’t hear your diss.
She waved you off. “Call me Lizzie, dear. This is Thomas.” She pulled the sleeve of her husband and made him face you. He barely looked at you, though you did notice the way his eyes lowered down your body.
“I still don’t see why we had to be the ones to move Charles out, Lizzie. We can pay people for that.” Lizzie rolled her eyes. Why couldn’t he understand sentimentality and actually being present in the pivotal moments of his only son’s life? He only had one more year of university left. It was strange to hear him be called Charles. It felt all too fancy for someone so…normal. I suppose his father wouldn’t say the same.
Lizzie scoffed. “Just start moving boxes, Tom.” She turned back to you. “So, where are you from?”
You decided to ignore Thomas. “Norwich.”
Charlie handed a smaller bag to Ruby while Thomas took a storage container. He pulled out his ID and opened the front door for the three of them. “The elevator’s already broken, so it’s lucky we’re on the first floor.”
~~
Having Charlie’s side of the room empty was a surreal sight. So many memories that were made in the room were basically erased at this point.
You took the pen and opened a window, taking it in and blowing it out the window. “And here I thought you were little miss sunshine.” You began to cough and gasp for fresh air at the sudden voice. Turning around, you locked eyes not with Charlie, but with his father.
Smoke billowed from your mouth. “Mr. Shelby- I…thought you all had left.” You rasped out the words, reaching for a water bottle to try and soothe your throat. He smirked at your attempt to hide your distress.
“My wife left her purse. I see you didn’t waste a second with your…” He snatched the pen from your hand. “What is this? Can’t you get real weed here?”
“It’s easier to manage. And rechargeable.” He examined the pen, shaking his head. He brought the pen to his lips and took a hit. The smoke left his mouth in a way you’d never seen before. It was skilled, he didn’t even cough. It formed into rings that blew in your direction.
“Can barely taste it. How much weed is actually in this?” He examines the pen, and then his glance shifts towards you. "I bet you can barely take it, yeah?"
You rolled your eyes. "I'm not that intolerant. I've been high before."
He tosses it to you. "Suck in until it blinks."
It was a bit of a surprise that he knew what a blinker even was. He seemed like the type to exclusively use one brand of cigarettes since he was a teenager. As if he'd step foot in one of the fancy dispensaries you and Charlie were used to.
You maintained eye contact as you put the tip of the pen in your mouth and began to suck the flavored smoke from it. It took only a few seconds for it to blink and you could finally exhale. It was as if your lungs had never touched oxygen before. They screamed at you to cough, but you didn't want to prove him right.
"Another." He ordered, taking a small step closer. You weren't sure if he was getting taller or if it was just a mix of weed and perspective.
The vape was already hot as you rested it on your bottom lip. You breathed in again, holding it until it blinked. The taste was much worse and the sting against your throat felt like fresh salt in an open wound.
You coughed, only once. Typically, it took you much longer to feel the instant effects of the drug, but you could feel your hands already trembling under the eye of Thomas.
He nodded, finally close enough to put his calloused hands on the soft skin of your waist. "Again."
Something about his gaze and the absolution in his voice made it impossible for you to deny what he wanted. Your shaky hand held the vape up and you sucked.
His slightly chapped lips pressed against yours once you took the pen from your mouth. All of the smoke leaving your system funneled into his. You couldn't deny the way his contact made your knees weak and thighs squeeze together.
The weed was taking effect rapidly. Your head was spinning as you tried to focus on him. His lips traveled from your lips to your cheek to your ear. "Tell me, have you and Charles ever had sex?"
The words briefly brought you out of the weed and lust-driven stupor. You shook your head. "No...we're just friends."
He laughed. "Are you gay?" You denied. "Is he gay?" Again, you denied. "How has he not ever taken the chance to bed you?"
You could barely answer. His hand trailed up your leg and under your thin dress. Nothing could hide the heat that emanated from between your legs.
His free hand took the vape from yours and pressed it against your lips. Instinctively, you took a deep breath in, letting the smoke fill your aching lungs once again. "Is it because you're a virgin? Or maybe...you have an affinity for older men?"
You nearly stopped feeling the warmth of his hand on your leg until he pressed his fingers against the now-damp fabric of your panties. It was humiliating how much he turned you on...and how much the feeling of being humiliated by him turned you on even more.
"Mr. Shelby.." You coughed out, your throat sore and stinging with each syllable. As much as you wanted to scream at him to actually touch you, it would be too much to say at once.
Thomas Shelby wasn't a mind-reader, but he could read when a woman wanted him. He slipped his fingers underneath your panties and pushed into you. Your slick cunt welcomed him in without resistance at all. "Want me to stop? Leaving you high and horny while I go back to my wife and children?"
You shook your head no, silently pleading for him to do something over then idly have his fingers knuckle-deep within you. He curled his fingers, hitting the spots that your own hand couldn't reach if you tried, and moaned into his shoulder.
"Take another and I'll keep giving you what you want." Dazed, you sucked more from the pen. It was far more than you were used to, especially in such a short amount of time. Your legs threatened to give out, for multiple reasons.
"Please..." Your fingers lightly caressed his pants. It had been a while since you had anyone touch you, let alone someone like him.
He got the idea, pulled his hand away, and quickly freed himself from the confines of his trousers. There were condoms somewhere in this room, hidden in one of the boxes so your family wouldn't see that you even thought about something as evil as sex.
There wasn't time to look. You needed him now and it was only a matter of time before Charlie and the rest of them got suspicious. You pulled your panties down to your ankles and allowed his knee to settle between your trembling legs.
His lips trailed against your ear. "I'm going to show you a real high."

Part Ten - Present Day.
You were laying in bed watching the time tick past, Tommy was sleeping peacefully, you had tucked into his side, praying for the night to slow down.
"Sleep darling" his voice was gruff coated with sleep, his fingers tickling against the bare skin of your waist.
You hadn't told him about Sam's parting question, feeling so humiliated by it, but you knew that was the main thing keeping you up.
Tommy pressed his lips to your forehead "tell me what it is" he asked softly, you nodded biting at your lip.
"When I left his apartment, he..he asked if I was going to give him some kind of special welcome back" you swallowed, feeling the tears press at your waterline.
You felt Tommy's body stiffen, could see him trying to keep his anger at bay, he took a deep breath "Fucking prick, that's not going to happen. I promise" he sat up slowly, you moved next to him, his hands cupping your face.
"We will be in there, I've got men ready, Arthur is ready to kill him, Sam is not getting near you" he tried to reassure you, you nodded.
"You say stop we stop" he confirmed once again, some kind of mantra he’d been using for the past few days, "but for now, lets sleep, eh?" he lifted the covers to let you slip back under, you wrapped your arm around his waist.
Snuggling back into his side, the comforting beat of his heart lulling you into a light sleep.
-
Tommy was in the kitchen at the betting shop the next afternoon, he'd left you with Polly, Ada and Esme.
You'd been on edge all morning, even your favourite breakfast place by the river couldn't calm you, he'd had second thoughts, thought about pulling you out going about it in a different way.
You'd immediately noticed his shift in attitude, took his hand, told him you would be fine, you could do it.
He'd gathered his men, ready to lay out the plan. Finn and Isaiah had called up the club, enquired about any new girls, and had booked you out for the evening with his men.
Tommy was going to be there, back of the booth away from prying eyes.
“If you see anyone touch her, try to book her. You tell me, Arthur or John. No one is going near her, understand?” All the men mumbled their agreement.
Finn cleared his throat “is this a good idea Tom? Is it going to work?” He asked, John's hand connecting quickly with the back of his head.
Tommy was in his face, finger pointed “you got a better idea, eh? Let us hear it then” Finn rolled his eyes, not giving Tommy an answer, “you don't want to come? Want to stay home and act like going to a strip club isn't something you do?” Tommy stood back, his little brother was soft, and wasn't up for the kind of life this family had created.
You would be scolding him right now, would be telling him to leave Finn alone, let him live his life the way he wanted to live it. You had a soft spot for Finn, you’d come into his life when he was just thirteen, Finn had taken to you the fastest out of all the siblings, he didn’t have any reason not to trust you, he had loved being around you, you'd even persuaded Tommy to turn a room into his own so he could stay over whenever he wanted.
Tommy stepped away, lighting a cigarette “do what you want Finn you always do” he sighed, Finn slumped back in the chair, he just cared about you, couldn't lose you like he'd lost his mum.
Everyone left the kitchen, leaving Finn and Tommy alone, “I promise you she is going to be fine” Tommy took a seat opposite his little brother, Finn nodded “She takes care of us Tom”, Tommy smiled slightly “I know, and she’s going to still be around, do you think I’d let anything take her away?” he asked, trying to reassure Finn, “No” he shook his head, “I’ll be there tonight, I’ll make sure she’s alright” Finn added, Tommy nodded standing up giving him a brotherly pat on the back before he left the room.
-
Tommy pressed a kiss to your lips, sitting a few roads away from the club. You’d hardly said anything on the drive over, his hands cupped at your cheek “Remember we’re all fucking there okay? Finn has even told me himself he’s going to make sure you’re alright” he smirked, you couldn’t help the small smile, of course Finn had your back, “I love you, remember that as well, fucking lost without you” he pressed another kiss to your lips.
You relaxed into his kiss, fingers stroking through the short hair at the nape of his neck, “I love you too, Tom” you rested your forehead against his, giving him a final kiss.
You grabbed your bag, took a deep breath, Tommy squeezed your thigh, you gave him a smile before opening the car door, “Y/N?” Tommy spoke softly before you closed the door, you popped your head back into the car, “Thank you” he smiled, you nodded “Anything for family, Thomas” you replied, giving him another smile as you closed the door.
Lydia greeted you with an excited squeal as you walked back into the club, you were surprised to see her still here, bundled into a tight hug you laughed lightly “Lyd, I didn’t expect you to be here”, she shrugged leading you through the bar to the familiar back corridors “the money is good” she answered, as you nodded “Thats why I’m back need the money” you put your bags down on the dressing table.
You had made yourself up, hair slicked back into a high ponytail, the outfit you’d picked was sexy but not over the top, small black shorts, high heels and a small crop top, you felt out of place so unnatural in this environment.
Making your way through the club, scanning the room for familiar faces, Lydia had told you Sam would be in later, he had a few things to sort out before he arrived, that relaxed you slightly.
A few hours later you heard the unmistakable voice of Sam, his hot breath fanning across the skin of your neck as you served someone at the bar “my favourite little whore is back” he chuckled, you moved away from his body “Y/N, your booths order is ready” Summer smiled taking over from you.
Sam’s hand circled around your wrist “Come find me after, still need to welcome you back” he sneered, you nodded feeling sick to your stomach.
You adjusted your top as you grabbed for the round of drinks checking the ticket number, you smiled knowing exactly who’s table that was.
“A round of shots, gentlemen” you shouted over the music with a beaming smile on your face, “Ere’ she is, hello sister” Arthur draped his arm around your shoulder.
“Hello Arthur” you dropped a light peck to his cheek “Looking stunning as always, y/n” he chuckled.
“Oi!” Tommy looked up from his phonee, yes locking with yours, as he shouted at his brother.
-
So we've made it full circle back to part one! I hope you've enjoyed it this far, there's so much more to come!
