The company started life way back in 1979 as Tom Dennis Camera’s, based in No.16 Laneham Street and over the next 30 years or so, the company grew, adding a branch in Lincoln, a full picture framing retail and manufacturing business in Goole and a electronics repair centre in Sheffield. As our main Scunthorpe store expanded into adjoining units either side of the original store, we were able to stock a much wider selection of 35mm and medium format camera’s, lenses, tripods, camera bags, along with the associated equipment and also a range of optical equipment (binoculars, spotting scopes and astral telescopes) plus a large selection of darkroom papers, chemicals and enlargers. With the release and subsequent rise in popularity of home video, Tom Dennis Camera’s also branched out into video camera sales from many of the leading manufacturers of the time and we also stocked a range of editing and title making units. As technology changed with the advent of the digital era, then so did Tom Dennis Camera’s; as we stocked a large range of compact and SLR digital camera’s and memory cards. This we did for a number of years before yet further development changes within the industry and the public's increased usage of mobile phones and tablets, almost all of them with camera’s, although many have a varying degree of quality and therefore varying end results.   We as a company then made a major business decision to concentrate on imaging and framing, the two major mainstays of our business, which we developed yet further and therefore we decided to drop camera sales completely from our store.   Today, yes we might have a smaller store than previous but we still offer a wide amount of products and services, along with unbeatable customer service! With the change in business direction, we changed our company name, as we felt the name of the store should reflect what we now offer, so we are now ‘Tom Dennis Imaging’ and we do still operate from Laneham Street, right in the heart of Scunthorpe’s  town centre. We offer a full range of digital photo printing services, from your standard sizes 6x4, 5x7, 8x6  photos, right up to and including 24x36 inch enlargements. The photographs can be printed from your memory card, USB stick, CD/DVD, tablet and even your mobile phone. If you wish to email a photo for printing, that's fine by us and we can even print  All digital photos and enlargements up-to 24x36 inches are printed in-store! We can do even bigger sizes but just not in-store and this would take a couple of days extra. We also offer a scanning service for your old negatives, prints and slides to DVD or USB stick and we have a full colour or black/white photo/image restoration service. If you have deleted images from your memory card, then that is usually no problem, as we can retrieve them through our Image Recovery service.   We transfer old cine film, VHS video tape and 8mm/VHS-C, Mini DV tapes to DVD. We are also able to take Passport/Driving License/I.D and Visa photos and if for some reason they are rejected by the Passport Office, then simply bring in your rejection letter and photos and we will retake them completely free of charge. Please Note: we do NOT accept rejection by the Post Office for the free of charge retake service!
