Thank you for tagging me! Let’s have some TMI time on this blog for all my lovely followers. 

1. If you could start a one week vacation tomorrow, where would you go?  London, probably? Never have been to an English speaking country. 

2. What skill do you have that would come handy in an apocalyptic world? When I was a child, I spent a bunch of summers on my grandparents’ farm. There’s only electricity and radio, no running water or plumbing, or TV. So, I’d like to think that I’m mentally prepared to live in a world with very basic utilities. 

3. Favorite episode last season? Um. OK, here’s the deal. I watched SPN on a very crappy stream, so crappy that I actually skipped couple of Cas-less episodes because I didn’t want to upset my laptop. So, [goes to Wiki to check s12 episode list], ok, I see. I think I'll stick to Cas’ eps, 12x10 and 12x12. I’ll have better answer after I get my hands on s12 DVD set. 

4. Can you play an instrument or do you plan to learn? Can’t play, no plans to learn. 

5. Raspberries or strawberries? Fresh strawberries, raspberry jam. 

6. Who do you want to see brought back in the Alternative Universe next season? This is like an exercise in representation. Do I want back my awesome ladies (Jo, Ellen, Charlie, Billie) or do I want my POC chars (Gordon, Rufus, Kevin) or should I keep my wishes secret in case they’re brought back and killed off again (hello Sarah B and Joshua)? In that case, ghostbusters. You can bring them back and kill them. And I still cling to hope that Eileen is actually alive in this universe. Please don’t bring her back in AU and set up a romance with Sam. People are not interchangeable . 

7. First movie you saw at a cinema? Ouch, that was a very long time ago. I’ll go with the first movie that made me to go to the cinema to see it for the second time. It’s an old Russian movie “Hussar Ballad” about a girl dressing up in boys clothes and joining Russian army to fight Napoleon. Come to think of it, little me already had an anonymity kink back then. Huh. Also, “My Fair Lady” made a huge impression when I saw it on the big screen (hello teacher/student kink!). Please note, these movies are bloody old and I DIDN’T see them when they’re first released, omg, I’m not that ancient. I saw reruns in cinema much, much later. To show how non-linear my “movies at the cinema” timeline is - I saw Disney’s The Little Mermaid roughly when it was released, which happened only couple of years after I saw Disney’s “Snow white” for the first time ever and in the cinema. 

8. Favorite version of Cas? I’ll go with original Cas. The one we met in 4x01 and lost in 12x23. I’m here for his journey, for his character development. I mean, I also love steve!cas but that was only one episode and I needed moar of human Cas in s9.

9. If you could choose a song as a music cue next season, what would it be and for which scene would you use it? No idea. I’m not very well versed in recent music trends. 

10. This weekend is VanCon. What question would you ask the cast if you were there? You. Don’t want. Me. To ask them questions. I’m still too bitter about everything. I’d end up asking something like - it took only four years, killing a reaper, almost dying and confessing his love to the Winchesters for Cas to finally get a room in the bunker. Who’s idea it was to give Cas a room and who did the actual giving, Sam or Dean? Or was it Mary? So, let’s go with a simple question, and if somebody knows the answer, please tell me, I honestly don’t know -  what is Misha’s status in season 13? Is he regular with usual 10-11 eps (or less) or a guest star?

Ah, October. Crisp autumn breezes blowing through a myriad of red, orange, yellow and green leaves hanging off tree branches. Pumpkin spice and the rise and excitement for spookiness. The days grow progressively longer and we’re beginning to reach the end of 2017.

And you know what else?

If you follow Crunchyroll and other anime-related social media accounts as well as anime youtubers like me, you know that the Fall 2017 anime season has already begun, with new shows being aired this week.

Glancing at the ever trustworthy Anichart, I’ve noticed that a chunk of the anime airing are sequels to some popular series as well as some interesting manga I’ve taken notice of getting animated adaptations (cue in the happy cries of online otaku fandoms everywhere).

Continuations of Anime We Love (Because They Know We’ll Continue To Bleed Money Over Them)

Most of the second seasons or succeeding seasons for some anime titles are on my “Definitely Need To Watch This” list:

Spicing up with some more drama, I have no doubt.

Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara (Food Wars! The Third Plate) — I don’t think there’s a clear reason for me to not (want to) watch this preceding season of this popular funny and slightly raunchy shonen anime about food and cooking competitions in a high school setting. #foodorgasmsfordays

Definitely more drama in our future for this show and I cannot wait to be torn apart.

Sangatsu No Lion 2 (March Comes in Like a Lion 2) — Appealing for my love for slice-of-life and drama genre, I know that this second installment to the series will focus more on the relationships and ties between the characters. #feelswillfeltforsure

I’m always down for more Zapp and Klaus.

My need for moar screaming fish plants have been answered.

If my article over their mobile game didn’t convince you that I like the humour and characters in this series, then I don’t know what else I can say.

  Kekkai Sensen & BEYOND (Blood Blockade Battlefront), Hoozuki No Reitetsu 2 (Cool-Headed Hoozuki 2) and Osomatsu-san 2 (Mr. Osomatsu 2) — To be perfectly honest about these three series, I feel like their first season was enough. The ending of Kekkai Sensen was rushed but oddly felt fitting as an ending for such a wild ride of a storyline that wasn’t episodic (and now that I think about it, was just really chaotic in its development). This new season may fill in the plot hole with Leonardo’s sister and what he can do to fix her situation. On the other hand, Hoozuki No Reitetsu and Osomatsu-san are purely comedic shows and if there are enough ideas generated for a non-episodic/one-shot collection of stories with a general plot, then why kill the machine if it functions well and makes money, right?

Hype Train Highlights (The Ones Ads And People Have Never Shut Up About) 

I’m so ready for this one, y’all already know.

Mahoutsukai No Yome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride) — I was loving this series before the hype train and I know that sounds so a-typical of an otaku who read the manga before the announcement of the anime adaptation to the point that it can come across as some elitist comment, but man, I am so down for watching Chise and Elias coming alive on screen. #justyaaasss

Juuni Taisen (Juni Taisen: Zodiac War) — When I first saw the trailer and understood the concept of this series, I was reminded of Etotama but this anime will be a whole lot more grittier as a battle royale competition between people representing the animals of the twelve Chinese zodiac. Also, the rap music video promo for this anime was hella sick and the character designs are so pretty.

Liking the art style for this series, but I do have to say I’m on the ropes for this one…

Urahara — Not to be confused for a certain handsome green and white stripped hat and sandal wearing science man from a certain shounen  anime, Urahara looks like it’ll be a fun colourful journey following three high schoolers defending Harajuku from alien invaders.

…I confess, I didn’t read the manga. Don’t hurt me please.

Black Clover — That one shounen anime that you’ll know will be a big hit. I figure why not watch it and find out if that’s the case.

From The Comic To Moving Images (Series I Kinda Picked Up And Then Never Read Again To A Certain Point And Now I Don’t Have To Because It Has An Anime) 

I just remember that this one was a sad one. ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚

Kujira No Kora Wa Sajou Ni Utau (Children of the Whales) — I remember picking up this series and being fascinated by the world the story was set in where we’re introduced to a post-apocalyptic realm and people live on floating islands above vast expanses of sand.

Another manga that I didn’t keep up with but was really interesting. #NotCrystalGems #JustGems

Houseki No Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) — Watching a show about androgynous yet feminine looking humanized crystals kicking butt? The idea is familiar, but the only thing is that this anime doesn’t have a hybrid human and gem lead character. The look of the anime compared to its OVA is the use of 3D animation which recently can work to enhance the storyline of a series or break it. In this case, I think it’s necessary to add it because of the action sequences in the story (from what I remember and from what was shown in the trailer). Also, the opening theme by YURiKA is a gem in and of itself.

Inuyashiki (Last Hero Inuyashiki) — A story about a 58-year old getting killed in an accident and finding out that he’s no longer human after the incident? Sounds pretty fantastic.

I hope this one won’t be too depressing.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls’ Last Tour) — In a post apocalyptic world, two young girls journey alone together as the last humans on earth. With its seemingly innocent look in its trailer, this will break my kokoro to pieces and be considered the new Made in Abyss of the season.

In the coming weeks, I hope to have time to watch all these shows and give my impressions in the form of a blog post or barfing all my feels on Twitter.

Who knows really.
