Peaceful Property: On Sale, Ep 7 (pt. 1)

A truly tragic and sublimely beautiful episode of television for me specifically. The way they explored the horrors of homophobia and the closet and the loneliness and then showed some repair and healing. Phoom gets to be with Vicha, caring for the space they fell in love and happily haunted by his favorite ghost.

Is it my favorite ForceBook storyline of all time? You bet! Bless Book for talking Force into it.

Creating a chunkier Bionicle is certainly the challenge! I particularily struggled with making the thighs, and I am not 100% happy with them. I will probably make adjustments to both the way the thighs are built, and the way they attach to the hips/modify the hips. The shoulders could use something more too... I would also like to add a Slizer foot over the cavity below the breasts somehow, so we'll see what I come up with!

I think this one is a keeper! While I usually dissassemble MOCs to be able to build more, this one is now proudly displayed on my Bonkle shelf :)

Lego Oxventure - Spell Check

The season one finale plants seeds that would go on to flourish all the way into the last season.

Egbert wakes up minus a kidney

The other Oxventurers, also captured, thankfully retained all their organs.

Breaking free, the guild adopt one of the guards

Although Corazon and Egbert were all too happy to play bad cop-bad cop with him.

A plan goes awry

Beron the dwarf misses his attack, and then Egbert misses his, hitting the dwarf with his own battleaxe.

The signal is given, the battle begins

The first of many skirmishes with arch-nemesis Liliana.

Corazon and Prudence are briefly empowered with magical juice

Corazon The God uses his newfound power to spawn many, many sandwiches.

Liliana will return...

...with Egbert's kidney (hopefully).

And so the first season is concluded. I'll be taking a brief break before embarking on season 2, so that I can have a short rest and plan the next season.

Hey, so I kinda want to talk about Brickshelf.

For context, Brickshelf is an old website, I'm talking 1998, that early fans of Lego (including Bionicle) used to host images, specifically for their creations. A ton of fanart is on this website, too.

In late June, it was reported by a journalist that the founder of this website, Kevin Loch, passed away last year (additional Facebook source). I am not clear who is running the website at this point.

According to LUGNET, Kevin's estate is currently paying to keep Brickshelf online. I don't know how much time we have, but my estimate is two months, because one of his websites (https://bsrender.io/) has a public notice that it will be disabled this March.

Brickshelf is host to 4,942,783 image files organized into 431,130 folders. That's a lot of early Internet history potentially being lost.

If you individually want to preserve your files, there is a python script for downloading a user's files here.

Is anyone here interested in helping archive this website? I'd like to make an archive, I just have no prior experience. Thank you.

Edit: The Bio-Media team sent me a reply that they're one of the groups who are willing to volunteer to help with archiving. More info in reblogs.

Chrysanthemum Hermit Crab - 247 Pieces

Around January or February I bought the Chrysanthemum botanical set and after finishing it my mom said something around the lines of "Well you couldn't make anything else out of this." so me being kinda petty, decide that the only natural course of events was to force carcinization onto this flower. I originally had a different body design but I really didn't like it, so one day I just redesigned it completely in about 2 hours. Instructions will come out eventually.
