[ad_1] GG News Bureau Nagpur, 15th Dec. A total of 39 MLAs were inducted into the Maharashtra government on Sunday, December 15, in a ceremony held in Nagpur, just a day before the commencement of the week-long Winter Session of the state legislature. The event saw 33 ministers take the oath as Cabinet ministers, while 6 were sworn in as ministers of state. The Cabinet includes 16 members from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 9 from Shiv Sena, and 8 from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Among the ministers of state, the BJP holds the largest share with three MLAs, followed by Shiv Sena with two and NCP with one. The swearing-in ceremony paves the way for finalizing power-sharing agreements within the Mahayuti alliance. One of the key points of contention between BJP and Shiv Sena—control over the Home portfolio—has been resolved, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis retaining the position. The results of the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024, which delivered a landslide victory for the Mahayuti alliance with 230 out of 288 seats, have shaped the new cabinet. BJP won 132 seats, Shiv Sena secured 57 seats, and NCP bagged 41. Devendra Fadnavis assumed office as Chief Minister on December 5, with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar appointed as his deputies. Here is the complete party-wise list of ministers in the Maharashtra Cabinet: Cabinet Ministers: Devendra Fadnavis (BJP) – Home Ajit Pawar (NCP) Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena) Chandrasekhar Bawankule (BJP) Pankaja Munde (BJP) Ashish Selar (BJP) Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil (BJP) Hasan Mushrif (NCP) Chandrakant Patil (BJP) Girish Mahajan (BJP) Gulabrao Patil (Shiv Sena) Ganesh Naik (BJP) Dada Bhuse (Shiv Sena) Sanjay Rathod (Shiv Sena) Dhananjay Munde (NCP) Mangal Prabhat Lodha (BJP) Uday Samant (Shiv Sena) Jaikumar Rawal (BJP) Atul Save (BJP) Ashok Uike (BJP) Shambhuraj Desai (Shiv Sena) Dattatreya Bharne (NCP) Aditi Tatkare (NCP) Shivendrasinh Bhosle (BJP) Manikrao Kokate (NCP) Jaikumar Gore (BJP) Narhari Zirwal (NCP) Sanjay Sawkare (BJP) Sanjay Shirsat (Shiv Sena) Pratap Sarnaik (Shiv Sena) Bharat Gogavale (Shiv Sena) Makarand Jadhav-Patil (NCP) Nitesh Rane (BJP) Ministers of State: Akash Phundkar (BJP) Babasaheb Patil (NCP) Prakash Abitkar (Shiv Sena) Madhuri Misal (BJP) Ashish Jaiswal (Shiv Sena) Pankaj Bhoyar (BJP) Meghana Bordikar (BJP) Indraneel Naik (NCP) Yogesh Kadam (Shiv Sena) The post Maharashtra Cabinet Ministers List: 39 MLAs Sworn in Ahead of Winter Session appeared first on Global Governance News- Asia's First Bilingual News portal for Global News and Updates. FILE- Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. Image source - PTI NCP Political Crisis: Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray targeted the BJP. Uddhav Thackeray said on Thursday (July 6) that the BJP has broken the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and wants to break Maharashtra. In his first reaction to the split in the NCP, Thackeray said, "They are against Maharashtra. He first broke Shiv Sena and now NCP. They want to break Maharashtra and do not want anyone who can stop them from getting out. The NCP has split after Ajit Pawar became the deputy CM in the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government. Since then, the political battle between uncle Sharad Pawar and nephew Ajit to retain the leadership of NCP is going on. Ajit has declared himself the National President of NCP and has staked his claim regarding the party in the Election Commission. At the same time, Sharad Pawar has also reached the shelter of the Election Commission. All these things are happening just like what happened with Shiv Sena. Is Shinde faction angry? After Ajit Pawar's entry in the Maharashtra government, it is being claimed that many MLAs of Eknath Shinde faction are angry. Shiv Sena UBT leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has also claimed that 17 to 18 MLAs of Shinde faction are angry with the rebellion in NCP and Ajit's entry in the state government and are in touch with him. Along with this, Sanjay Raut claimed that Maharashtra would get a new Chief Minister. Eknath Shinde faction leader and Industries Minister Uday Samant rejected all these claims outright. He said that all the speculations being made about CM Eknath Shinde are wrong. He said that whatever has happened (for that) the initiative was taken by Chief Minister Shinde. At the same time, while issuing a statement, several MLAs of the Shinde faction said that there is no need to panic. Read the full article

Thirty six ministers were inducted in the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra cabinet on Monday. The ministers who took oath today include Uddhav’s 29-year-old son, Aaditya Thackeray. This is the first time in Maharashtra that a father-son duo will be included in the state’s Council of Ministers.Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, nephew of party chief Sharad Pawar, took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This will be his second stint in over one month after an overnight coup to form government with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis lasted for just three days in November.Out of the 36 ministers, 26 ministers were sworn-in as cabinet ministers and 10 ministers took oath as junior ministers. There are three women in the expanded Council of Ministers, including two of the cabinet rank - Varsha Gaikwad and Yashomati Thakur from Congress and Aditi Tatkare from NCP.The new Council of Ministers now has four Muslim ministers. These are Nawab Malik and Hasan Mushariff from NCP, Aslam Shaikh from Congress and Abdul Sattar from Shiv Sena.Sattar, a Congress MLA, joined Sena ahead of the assembly polls.Besides Aaditya, senior NCP leader and MP Sunil Tatkare’s daughter Aditi - a first-time MLA - has also been found a place in the Council of Ministers. Other generation next politicians include Amit Deshmukh, son of former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Varsha Gaikwad, former minister and daughter of senior Congress leader Eknath Gaikwad and party’s working president Vishwajeet Kadam, son of late Congress leader Patangrao Kadam.Uddhav Thackeray has also given a chance to three independents, including farmer leader and four-term independent legislator Bacchu Kadu from Vidarbha, Shankar Gaddakh from Ahmednagar, Rajendra Yadravkar from Kolhapur. All these independents had given their support to the Shiv Sena. The Congress left out former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan but included another of its former CM Ashok Chavan in the list. From the Shiv Sena, Thackeray has rewarded party loyalists like MLC Anil Parab besides former ministers like Sanjay Rathod, Gulabrao Patil, Dada Bhuse, Uday Samant, Shambhuraje Desai. The newcomers in the list include Sattar, Sandipan Bhumre (Marathwada). Those who were left out include former minister Ravindra Waikar, Sunil Raut, brother of Sena MP Sanjay Raut among others. It was reported that Sanjay Raut is upset but he denied this saying they had only done their job and did not expect anything in return. The NCP list of ministers also includes loyalists and former ministers like Dilip Walse Patil, Rajesh Tope, Hasan Mushariff, Nawab Malik, Rajendra Shingane, Anil Deshmukh. The new comers in the NCP list include Thane legislator Jitendra Awhad, Dattaray Bharne (MLA from Indapur and aide of Ajit Pawar) besides Aditi Takare. All the three parties have tried to balance out regional and caste dynamics in picking the new ministers.Thackeray had taken oath as chief minister on November 28 along with six other ministers, two each from three parties forming the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi. Pointing to Andhra Pradesh law Sena demands 80 percent jobs for locals in Maharashtra
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0cd9c972a30b876121fe0fc0e2be2547/9d461babb512a0b7-44/s540x810/0df4fcdf61d256b127e16cc381e53c9b71120003.jpg)
Pointing at the recent law enacted by Andhra Pradesh that has made it mandatory for existing and upcoming industries in the state to reserve 75 percent jobs for local, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) chairman and Shiv Sena MLA, Uday Samant on Wednesday demanded that the Maharashtra government also enact a similar law guaranteeing 80 percent of the jobs in private companies to local youth. Sensing the importance of the issue as Assembly elections are fast approaching, the Sena has stolen the march over its rivals by first making the demand. Late Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray formed the Shiv Sena on June 19, 1966 out of his anger over the domination of south Indian community in local jobs. The Sena soon thereafter formed the Sthaniya Lokadhikar Samiti to further its sons-of-the-soil theory. In February 2008 the Sena was first to launch attacks on youth from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who came to Mumbai in search of jobs. Not to be left behind, its arch rival the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in October 2008 attacked youth from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar at Kalyan railway station who had come to appear for Railway Recruitment Board jobs here. However, now with the MNS courting the opposition Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led alliance, it will be difficult for the Raj Thackeray led MNS to revive its sons-of-the-soil plank. In August 2010 the MNS cadres had attacked Taxi drivers from North India in Mumbai. The YSR Congress Party led government of Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday passed the Andhra Pradesh Employment of local candidates in the Industries-Factories bill, 2019. The new law mandates existing and upcoming industries in the state to reserve 75 percent jobs for local youth. Andhra Pradesh is the first state in the country to enact such a law . Speaking to newspersons here, MHADA chairman and Sena MLA Uday Samant stated that he would soon be writing to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis urging that Maharashtra too enact a similar law which guarantees 80 percent jobs in private companies for local youth. He said that such a law will make it binding on the companies to give jobs to local youth and help in reducing unemployment. He urged Yuva Sena president Aaditya Thackeray to take the lead in pushing for such a law in Maharashtra. As per the Economic Survey of Maharashtra for 2018-19, about 1,67,641 unemployed youths had participated in one of the job fairs organized by the government. It must be noted here that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government after coming to power in 2014 had winded up the State Employment Exchange and hence there are no official authentic figures available on unemployment in Maharashtra.
