I went back to Los Angeles this summer and one of the people on top of my list to see was @louobedlam. If you dont know his name then I guess you were never into polaroids. He is in my eyes one the best polaroids photographers there is. I met him the first time in LA in 2008 as I was driving through the states with my friends. We met on Flickr like all photoheads did with an internet presence in the mid 2000s. Not only did he challenge me with being in front of the camera, which he guided me well (and I learned some cool tricks) but he showed me and my friends around too. And I was forever grateful to have met this Los Angeles native (angeleno) and photo legend.

15 years later I go back, and we meet at one of his favorite mexican restaurants for lunch. It was strange to meet again after all this time, but as soon as we started talking, the conversation went to all deep things immediately. Doing photography with integrity, working with film, health, lifestyle choices and life traumas.. all the casual things.

Of course Lou brought his cameras, like he always does. And he managed to capture some photos of me right after some delicious ice cream in Larchmont. I was happy to see the results considering how rare it is for me to see proper photos of myself. It was quite moving to see myself as an older person. I love how your face kind of finds its mold better when you passed into your 30s. I feel very comfortable with it, even though Lou had to do some his tricks to ease me into the lense (that I forget how close it gets). It was inspiring and really cool to see how someones photo practice like Lou`s can be so full of curiosity and playfulness after doing this for decades. A quality person approaching photography on his own terms. Thank you for doing my portraits again Lou. I am very grateful for this!

One is from 2008 by Lou, the others are from now. The last one is a snapshot I did of Lou with my Olympus Mju ii.

i've been meaning to make a blog for my writings for a while, but a couple days ago i finally decided to jump the gun! hopefully i won't forget about it :3

here, i'll not only talk about some of my favorite things, but i might even post some of my fiction as well! i'd love constructive feedback for my short as well (as long as it isn't just plain rude) c:

i'd also love to do a photography blog (like how i had a side blog here before deleting it), but that's something i'll probably take care of on another day. the site that i'm hosting this blog unfortunately doesn't support photos unless i pay a monthly fee, so ill probably host it on something different when i get around to it.

for now, eat my writing, or don't. you can do whatever you want forever :333333333333
