I've just been going over my WIPs and prompts and made a decision. While I've said I want to empty out my inbox this year, that won't be a thing, sadly. Because combined, my plans for both WIPs and prompts comprise over a million words. That would require writig over seven thousand words a day and that's not even remotely possible for me.

So, I'm going to focus on my WIPs and I will work on filling prompts as best I can, but I cannot promise anything will be done at any given point. We'll see how it all comes out. I have a bad habit of making fills very complex and the ideas just won't go away. So I'll do my very best.

So, this means the following prompts (i.e., all of them) are on hold until I can clear through more of my WIPs. I'm honestly tempted to alternate them, now that I think about it. Finish a posted WIP, write a fill, finish a posted WIP, lather, rinse, repeat. Which means next is finishing a posted WIP.

ETA: of course, there will always be unexpected ideas that strike out of the blue & focus weeks/months. So I will post new non-prompt works at times as well.

Mizael Fernandes da Silva, 13yo, killed on his sleep by the police force, Ceará- Brazil.

As the aunt asks "Did you just kill the kid that was sleeping over there?", she is dragged outside with the rest of the family. They are held under gun point far away from the house as the officers go in and out of it, they call reinforcements. They clean the blood on the room, take the phone, the pillow and the sheets, wrap Mizael on it, put him on the truck of the car and speed out of there. The family is not told what really happened or where Mizael was taken.

He dreamed of being a cowboy, a week before he was gifted a horse, one he never even had the chance of taking a photo with. Mizael had just bought his first phone the day before he was killed in cold blood, he feel asleep still holding it that night.

During the early hours of July 1st, the rural police raided his aunt's property and everyone that was awake were escorted outsidw. Two officers enter the house and the aunt goes with them. She had just stepped inside when she sees a flash of light from the bedroom and a loud shout, the officer that was on the room gets out and goes to the other saying "I fucked up, I fucked up".

Not knowing who else to call, they ring the militar police. Once they get there, they say the crime scene has been clearly adultered but they couldn't pay for something they didn't do.

Once the community decides to protest, they are met by the guns of the police force and in a video, one officer threatens the family: "Do you want another one to die?"

Mizael was a 13 years old boy, caring, affectionated and happy. He was stolen from his dreams and future by police brutality. Say his name.

At the end of every argument you always pick me up and you try to make things better but that only last for a while . I don’t know what to think , I just be feeling so numb and I hide everything inside for Mizael . Because he doesn’t need to be seeing any of this , I try to keep him happy always .

You told me that no one gives a fuck about you

That no one cares about how you feel

I said nothing , because I stopped worrrying about my own feelings after Mizael was born . He was then the only priority .

I set my own thoughts , my own feelings aside . I didn’t care if I was sad , mad , annoyed , angry , lonely , tired . I only cared for my little boy .

Don’t get me wrong I appreciate that you took me out of work and let me stay home with Mizael . For every little thing you do . I don’t show it because it’s not about us anymore . It’s about our growing little curious toddler . It happens . It’s appart of having a family , you stop focusing on each other because you focus on your son/kids.

I’m literally just lost . I stay in silent and I love my baby .
