I haven’t done any baking in quite a long time so today I decided I would make something sweet..
I couldn’t decide between a cobbler or a crisp..
So I decided to experiment using both kinds of toppings!
I used two different recipes and made a cobbler biscuit topping and then a crisp topping from another recipe that is more oaty and used cinnamon as well.
I’m really proud of how it came out!
Blackberry, Raspberry and Peach cobbler/crisp haha

Pop's Blackberry Cobbler A simple sugar syrup gives a golden sheen to this juicy berry cobbler that will become a summer staple at your house. It's also great with just peaches or a mix of both, and it's always best with vanilla ice cream! 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon butter, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 quarts blackberries, 1/2 cup water, 2 cups biscuit baking mix, 3 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca

Logan would love when you sometimes mix it up and call him by James (which if I'm not mistaken is his real name) like something intimate about calling him by his true name
omg yes!!!
it’s early in the morning in when you’re feeling for him. he’s normally asleep beside you, snoring by your ear and his arms wrapped around you.
this morning he doesn’t and it’s weird.
you sit up, knuckling your eyes as you get out of bed- shoving your feet into your fluffy slippers.
logan had quarreled with you for not wearing them enough times. always going on about how ‘it’s cold in the morning, you’re gonna get sick.’
it’s silly really, you’re mutant, but you suppose his worrying comes from you not having his regeneration powers.
“lo?” you call, almost walking into the archway as you reach the living room.
“on the porch, princess.” he gruffs, not looking back as you come out and find him cutting fruit.
it’s that time of year where the couple trees in your backyard are bearing like crazy.
“did you sleep okay?” you ask him, wheedling your way into his lap making him smile.
“mhm, got up cos that damn bird came back. knocking on the glass.” you yawn and tuck your face into his neck.
“why’re you cutting fruit?” he feeds you a segment of the orange he’s peeling.
“cos you like them.” there’s a big basin between his legs full of orange segments, peaches and some berries.
the way he says it, easy, thoughtful, like it’s silly that he wouldn’t be cutting fruit because you like them- makes your heart stutter.
“james,” you whisper and he hums, his heart now stuttering. he’s sure his eyes go a bit glassy.
it isn’t often you call him by his name, his given name; but when you do, he feels like himself.
like the little boy that always got sick. he feels set apart from all the violence and the war he’s lived.
“what?” he asks, desperate not to have the emotion that’s clawing at his throat rest there.
“you’re the single most thoughtful yet enigmatic man to walk this earth.” you kiss him, transferring the sweet citrus of the orange to him.
“don’t go shouting that around- the thoughtful part.” he says against your lips playfully and you laugh.
“i wouldn’t dare,” your fingers glide through his hair before reaching down into the bowl and offering his a piece of peach.
“i love you,” he says softly. voice earnest and heart full.
“i love you too james,” he kisses you again and as you pull away you say, “should i bake a cobbler?” you spot the mini mountain of peaches by his side.
“oh yeah, i’ll just have to get lemons from the tree.”

Cafe Menu Drop!
Hey Babes, we'll be hiring baristas next week starting on the 21st, so watch out for my truly insufferable number of posts about that. On that day we'll post a link so you can send in your application or like whatever.
Now since this is a cafe we figured y'all would want a menu, but like fanfic has so many options so this is just the basics, more will probably come.
Important Deet: Our baristas can't work for free and you pay in comments! Writers are needy bitches who need encouragement. Our hand-crafted stories will run you 1 comment per 100 words, so for a 500 word request, you'll 'pay' in 5 comments on any Sanders Sides story.
The Sleepy Bean Café serves up a range of story sizes: you get to request the size you're craving! The biggest size the machine can handle is a quintuple shot: 5000 words. (That's 50 comments for you big spenders out there!) Sometimes, our baristas are having such a blast mixing up your request that they add a little extra and go over the size of your original request. Consider that a bonus and the managers will look the other way.
Full text under 'read more'
Our baristas think they're creative and might add a little somethin extra from the menu, so if there's anything you just can't stand, better tell us up front.
And for all you barista hopefuls, six days til the hiring process begins. I'm gonna need a lot of bitches to make all these drinks.
~Remy XX

bitty bots master post (for the time being
This au is now a collaboration au with @zoranight16 ^^
heads up, there's a bunch of reading and I'm still figuring stuff out
Some bitties are aggressive or territorial, especially in the Sol Eclipsed bots . An example is the Strawberry Eclipse bitties. Most of the albino ones (nicknamed strawberry milk morphs) are more defensive while normal and melanistic ones (chocolate dipped morphs) are more reserved and don't tend to cling to their owners until a strong bond is made
Runts are traditionally lighter in color but not albino. If they have the melanistic gene, they'll appear much darker than others with the same gene that aren't melanistic. Runts with the albino gene will usually be either completely snow white, mixed with very faint tints of their originating kind, or grayed out tones.
The main three categories are Luna bots, Sol bots and Eclipsed bots.
Luna bots tend to either be more social (Lunar based) or quiet (Moon based) but it can vary based on subspecies as well
Sol bots (Sun, sometimes others) tend to be the most sociable and usually won't get territorial.
Eclipsed bots on the other hand- they're definitely a finicky bunch. We have the Lunar based Eclipsed (Bloodmoon) and Solar based Eclipsed (Eclipse) both can get highly possessive of territory and owners. Some exceptions are if they were in a "litter" with bots of other types. Some Eclipsed bots gain the personality of normal Sol bots (Solar for example)
We (me as the owner of bitty adoption center)actually keep them (the bitties) in open "play pens" so people can stop by and play with some of them (like a cat cafe) so feel free to! Some of the bitties get along better than others so some are grouped together while others are separated to prevent damage to the bitties
not all the bitty bots are food themed!
Normal versions of dca characters are here too!!
While yes, there are different categories of bitty bots (traditional, sweets, fantasy, ect) it's not just stuck to foods
Some mutations can occur but they aren't defects. Most of the mutations add to how unique a bitty can be. Like extra functional limbs or tails perhaps.
Bitties can have combos of two kinds. Two berry based bots would have a result of a Cobbler bitty with both “parents” colorations and genes. The percentage of how much of each parent is present can change a lot. Some genes are dominant and recessive so it is really up to fate.
Rays can come in different lengths! Some bitties will have shorter rays or only half a head of rays. This can sometimes happen when a Sol bot mixes with a Luna bot. This can also happen between two Sols or two Lunas, it all depends on genes and if they're recessive or dominant traits.
Most bitties range from 4-10 inches in height, runts usually being an inch or two smaller than their normal counterparts.
Some albino runts end up with poor vision
A group of any of the berry themed bitties is called a bushel/ cluster
(more to be added)

Upside-Down Cobbler (God I'm Tired--But Here's Dessert)
This is the easiest baked dessert I know, and a great way to use up fruit from the food bank.
Requires one of the following baking dishes: A 10-inch pie dish, a 9-inch cake layer pan, or an 8x8 baking dish. If you double everything you can fill a 9x13 baking pan, for company.
You also need:
small mixing bowl
cutting board (optional if using berries)
kitchen knife or butter knife (ditto)
spatula
measuring cups and spoons.
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain some canned fruit, wash and peel some fresh fruit, or get some berries. Anything that works in a pie will work here; you can also use a mixture. Dice the fruit. Measure 2 cups total.
Grease your pan or dish with anything from cooking spray to butter.
In the mixing bowl, combine ½ cup EACH white sugar, flour, and milk (any kind). Add 1 teaspoon EACH baking powder, vanilla extract, and any ground sweet spice you like (or leave it out). Add ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir well and pour into pan.
Put the fruit on top.
Put into oven, set timer for 40 minutes, go sit down. The batter will rise through the fruit and bake on top.
Serve warm or cooled, by itself or with vanilla ice cream, vanilla yogurt, cream, or a vegan equivalent.

Trick or treat :333?
Blackberry Cobbler
Ingredients
3 Tbsp cornstarch
¼ cup cold water
4 cups fresh blackberries
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup cornflakes cereal, coarsely crushed
1 cup all purpose flour
½ cup old fashioned rolled oats
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
½ tsp salt
¼ cup butter, cold
2 Tbsp cold water, as needed
¼ cup melted butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
In a saucepan, whisk the cornstarch with ¼ cup of cold water until thoroughly combined and smooth. Stir in the blackberries, white sugar, and ½ brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir until the filling thickens, about 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour into a 9 by 13 inch baking dish and set aside
In a bowl, mix the cornflake crumbs, flour, rolled oats, ⅓ cup brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Cut in ¼ cup butter with a pastry cutter or a sturdy fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water, 1 tbsp at a time, just until the crust begins to hold together on its own. Sprinkle the crust over the berry mixture and drizzle with ¼ cup melted butter.
Bake about 10 minutes or until the crust browns. Serve hot and you can also top it with ice cream and honey!!!!!
