The Unfiltered Truth About Coach Development – And How to Thrive Anyway
They told me I needed to be more CULTURALLY ALIGNED to gain access their relevant coach education. So why did I experience a real breakthrough in my coaching when I started ignoring their checklist? In my last post, I shared how building my own coaching education path led to better personal development and ultimately gave me the tools to coach a European champion, despite being excluded by the…

“don’t blur those lines”
i thought she was a
truth seeker
turns out she was just an
undercover clout chaser
exactly why i keep my distance
in female friendships
well
not all
but especially the ones that
blur the lines
DON’T BLUR THOSE LINES
she wants
fame and fortune
i’m tryna
turn pain to purpose
misaligned for a season
this ain’t no
13 reasons
i can’t help the depth
i’ve been here
too many times
but i think i’ll
save that last bottle of wine
for my divine
i’ll pour into
my twin
that
i’m within
’cause with her
i’m guaranteed to win
lol the jealousy is average
projections took over
i’ll turn any bitch down
even when i’m not sober
they don’t make ’em like me
anymore
DON’T BLUR THOSE LINES

I searched fantasy rap on Spotify, what I’m finding are playlists of contemporary rap just labeled fantasy for some reason, or remixed video game instrumental that someone raps over. What I’m looking for is niggas rapping about swinging swords, getting gold coins from they quests, and slaying dragons while dripped out in armor.

I don't know a lot about clothes, but I have thought about why I wear what I wear, after a long time of not thinking about it at all. I wear plain t shirts and jeans in shades of black and gray, and what's interesting is the realization that in trying to communicate as little as possible through my clothes, I *have* been communicating something specific the whole time: the fact that I don't want to share anything about myself with strangers, and that I'm a very closed-off and private person. Idk if dressing in non-descript plain clothes holds the same meaning when others wear it, but that's what I'm trying to convey. Putting in my 2 cents because I agree that putting thought into your clothes is valuable, even for those of us who don't want to put much time into curating a wardrobe of cool outfits
Yes, this!
My father was a very private man and literally wore the same thing every day for decades of his life (white button down + black trousers -- his closet looked like a cartoon character's), but he also wore a pocket watch and smoked a pipe, two extremely interesting affectations that communicated a certain persona he enjoyed. And then his style exploded with color when he got his terminal cancer diagnosis because he no longer wanted to blend in.
I've seen some folks in the notes be like, "I just want to be comfy." (I will argue that "comfy" means different things to different people, but it is also shorthand for "t-shirt + jeans".) But depending on where and with whom you wear those "comfy" clothes, you're communicating different things.
The same outfit - let's say a t-shirt, PJ pants, tennis shoes, and a jacket- could communicate anything from "oh, I didn't even notice that person" to "oh my god, can you believe that person doesn't care enough to dress decent in public" to "oh, I hope they're cozy and living their best life."
I try to be very aware of when my personal interpretation of my style may clash with someone else's interpretation. As a white, cis-passing guy who wears 1940s vintage, I am *super* aware of how this era is often appropriated by modern day fascists. So, I make up for it by trying to be visibly queer, or digging into the more affable and non-threatening professor/country gentleman look. And I'm hyper aware of my body language.
So, yeah. Even if fashion is not interesting to you, it is definitely worth learning what assumptions people are making about you based on your clothing. You may not personally care about these opinions, but it's still worth knowing so you can navigate social situations more easily.
