泰國網球選手Cheapchandej Patcharin，24日面對世大運女單第8種子、本週世界排名創生涯新高350名的捷克好手Miriam Kolodziejova，第1盤雖慘遭完封，但隨後連贏兩盤，最終以0比6、6比2、6比4逆轉戰局，搶下女單8強門票。

首盤Kolodziejova氣勢驚人，僅花21分鐘就送給對手貝果。次盤Patcharin開始回穩，並多次來到網前施壓，她在第4局率先破發成功，整體表現和首盤判若兩人，讓她收下第2盤，將戰局扳平。

進入決勝盤，飽受肩傷困擾的Kolodziejova，發球速度和準度都未達首盤水準，局數4比5落後時，還一度請求防護員進場治療。傷停回來，情況仍無法立即改善，第10局，輪到Kolodziejova非保不可的發球局，她卻未能保住，讓Patcharin贏得比賽勝利。
