Indian Government Launches Operation Kaveri in Sudan to Rescue Stranded Indians
Sudan is facing a threatening situation in its regions because of deadly fighting between the paramilitary group and the country’s army, which has already crossed 11 days, leaving at least 400 people dead. India has launched Operation Kaveri in its efforts to rescue and evacuate Indians from Sudan. 500 nationals have already taken to Port Sudan after S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Ministers Okayed the operation, which is underway now.
Throughout Sudan, the government of India is focusing on safely transporting more than 3,000 Indian citizens from the affected regions. On Sunday to evacuate the stranded Indians, India placed a couple of IAF C-130J transport aircraft in Jeddah, a city in Saudi Arabia. Also, at Port Sudan, it has positioned INS Sumedha, a naval ship for contingency.
The announcement for the evacuation operation by Jaishankar came after MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) conveyed that preparations for contingency are in place to bring the Indians from Sudan. However, it will purely depend on how the security situation is to confirm the movement on the ground. V Muraleedharan, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs will monitor the evacuation mission. Various partner countries of India will coordinate with the nation to ensure the safe movement of stranded Indians who wish to be taken out from Sudan.
The reason for naming the rescue mission as Operation Kaveri has immense importance. Kaveri is one of the Indian rivers that is highly revered. And it flows through Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, both are southern states. People of these regions worship the Goddess Kaveriamma and consider it sacred. As the rivers do not adhere to any barriers and reach their destinations, just like a mother who does everything to get her child back to safety, the mission has been named Operation Kaveri by the Modi government.
MEA and the Sudanese authorities, and the Indian embassy in Sudan are in close connection to keep updated with the UAE, UN, US, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, among others. Due to fierce fighting in different locations in Khartoum, the capital of the country, the situation is still volatile in Sudan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday provided preparatory directions and contingency plans for the evacuation of Indians from Sudan. Also, Jaishankar, the last week had spoken to the counterparts in the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia about the ground situation in Sudan.
All this was with the intent to bring back the Indians safely to India. Discussion about the situation in Sudan was also done with Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General. France has also helped to evacuate 5 Indians with citizens of other 27 nations as a part of their rescue mission from Sudan. A total of 338 people from 28 countries along with that India were safely evacuated by the French contingency group from Sudan.
And the French operations for evacuation are already ongoing. If you wish to reach out to the MEA control room in Sudan for Indians, you can contact the toll-free number 1800 11 8797. Otherwise, call on +91 9968291988 (mobile), 91-11-23014104, 91-11-23012113, or 91-11-23017905. You can also email [email protected].

By • Olalekan Fagbade ECOWAS can send me as Peace offering to Ibrahim Traore – Nollywood Actress While the ECOWAS forces are set for military action against the coupists in Niger, Nigerian actress and singer, Cossy Ojiakor has her sights on Burkina Faso’s military ruler, Ibrahim Traore, saying she can be used as a peace offering sent to him. Cossy openly confessed her love for the Burkinabe leader, crushing on him with some seductive words “I love this man, Ibrahim Traore. He is so cute, intelligent and brave. Incase Nigeria/ECOWAS want to send a peace offering to him, I am available. I present myself as a peace offering. Will he take me? Africa really has good looking, brave men, tall, dark and handsome, ” she said. “Nigeria, an oil producing nation does not have a refinery. Our Nigerian men are not that brave. Especially, all those politicians in Nigeria, most of them are just good in girls matter. They have coconut heads. I don’t want to mention names. Recall that when the Chibok girls’ abduction by Boko Haram was still fresh, Cossy had offered herself as a sacrifice for their release #ECOWAS #militaryruler #Nigercoup #nollywoodactress

365 days of the CNRD: from euphoria to doubt! How time pass quickly! September 5, 2021 - September 5, 2022. It has been exactly 12 months today, that is, 52 weeks or 365 days, that Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya and his companions took power, to settle at the Palais des Nations, at the head of the executive. Welcomed in the popular jubilation in the early hours of the coup, the soldiers, who came "saved" the Guineans from the clutches of the old president, Alpha Condé, have been managing the country since September 5 with an iron hand in a velvet glove: with the retirement of several officers of the defense and security forces including 352 Public Service workers, the recovery of state real establishment of a Court of Repression of Economic and Financial Offences with the incarceration of several former dignitaries of the fallen regime, the main political leaders in exile, the organization of the days of the national meetings, the upward review of civil servants' salaries and student maintenance scholarships, the resumption and completion of the work undertaken by the former regime, not to mention the fight against inflation Since September 5, the CNRD has been blowing hot and cold, which has resurrected the old demons of the demonstrations on the Hamdallaye-Bambeto-Coza-Wanidara axis and galvanized the "demagogues" who applaud to break everything in every act taken by the colonel. The first strong acts: appointments and the release of prisoners Recall that this Saturday, September 5, Guineans woke up to the fait accompli. Elements of the Special Forces Group, under the leadership of their then commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, after entering, after a few hours of fighting, the Sekhoutoureya Palace, deprived former President Alpha Condé from his sleep, arrested him. They thus sounded the death knell of a reign that lasted two five years and one year. While many Guineans were surprised, some still expected such an end-of-reign scenario… Read more details on the regime: https://porelivingstone22.wixsite.com/buzzguinea/post/365-days-of-the-cnrd-from-euphoria-to-doubt #guineenews #guineebuzz #guineepolitique #militaryrule #cnrd #365days https://www.instagram.com/p/CiHr7mUAZp1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Myanmar shadow government calls for revolt against military rule #Myanmar #militaryrule # revolt

Sept 7 – Myanmar’s shadow government, made up of military opponents, called for violence on the junta on Tuesday, setting up a plan to include armed soldiers and ethnic groups urging bureaucrats to leave their posts. Duwa Lashi La, the acting Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, said in his speech that a dignified government, with members in exile or in hiding, had declared a state…

Khakocracy
My original title for this post was, “#MartialLaw; #MilitaryRule“. And this first paragraph would be “(spoiler alert)”. But this term, #Khakocracy, almost sums up the next phase in the experiment called #America.
Researching the idea(s), I found the title term to be too inexact for what the near future portends. I base my expectations on current, mostly singular, events. Individual actions,…

EAST ST. LOUIS MASSACRE On July 2, 1917—East St. Louis, Illinois, erupted into bloody violence, as one of the worst race riots in U.S. history began. Racial tension was already high in East St. Louis, which had attracted roughly 10,000 new African Americans in the past year. Established trade unions resented the newcomers as “unfair” competition, and a mob assaulted African Americans at the end of May, necessitating National Guard protection in the city. After a rumor spread that a black man had killed a white man, the city on July 2nd erupted into a full-scale riot characterized by drive-by shootings, beatings, and arson. #MilitaryRule was eventually established—followed by hundreds of arrests—but not in time to save the many innocent #AfricanAmericans who fell victim to the angry mob. No one is sure exactly how many African Americans died in the riot; estimates range from 40 to 200 individuals. Nine whites were killed. Property damage was of course extensive, and thousands of African Americans also left the city altogether, fearing for their safety. National public opinion immediately surged against law enforcement officers, who did little to stop the violence. The event also sparked mobilization within the NAACP, which on July 28th held a silent parade down Fifth Avenue in New York, protesting racial violence. Federal investigations began almost immediately, and a grand jury formed in the wake of the attacks eventually indicted St. Louis’s mayor, as well as dozens of other individuals. Ultimately, though, only a handful of whites were sent to prison—and on light sentences. A year later, President #WoodrowWilson denounced #lynching.#NowYouKnow #BlackLivesMatter#Baltimore #BlackAmericanHistory#Ferguson #racistAmerica#Terrorism #PeacefulNoMore #EastStLouisMassacre
