“I like plants just fine!” he insists. Plants are lovely, really. They provide a wonderful atmosphere and do much good for the environment. He just doesn’t find them that interesting. Yamato does not jump for joy when he hears about plants. He doesn’t ask people what their favorite plant is. 

What’s it to Ibiki if he is not obsessed? It’s not like he’d had any say in ending up with the Mokuton. Now he’s supposed to adhere to some stereotype? Not fair. 

“I’m just not much of a plant keeper...a- a- botanist or something of the like.”
