"There's a new Bruce [Springsteen] record coming out this fall, which is stunning. A Brief History of the Chicago Cubs
Mike Loftus is the president of MLE Merchandising & Sign Solutions, a marketing company located in Elmhurst in Chicago, IL. When Mike Loftus isn't working on his branding services in Elmhurst, he enjoys food, travel, boating, and watching the Chicago cubs playing baseball.
The Chicago Cubs is a professional American baseball team. Based in Chicago, the Cubs are also called the North Siders or Cubbies. The players play their home games at Wrigley Field. They also play in the National League Central division and have three world titles from 1907, 1908, and 2016.
Originally known as the Chicago White Stockings, the Cubs were the founding charter members of the National League in 1876. They were the earliest professional North American sports team and won six out of the initial eleven championships held by the National League. The Cubs set a major league record in 1906 with 116 wins, winning their first World Series title in 1907 and again in 1908.
In 1916, the Cubs moved into Weeghman Park, which was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926. They won National League titles in 1910 and 1918 and National League pennants in 1929, 1932, 1935, and 1938. However, they experienced their first World Series loss in 1929. After an incident at a 1945 World Series game involving a tavern owner and a goat, the Cubs did not return to the World Series for over seventy years until their next World Series win in 2016.
The club's history after 1945 is filled with many ups and downs, but despite this, they were the second team in the history of Major League Baseball to document 10,000 wins.

Self-Adhesive Vinyl Signage
Accomplished branding entrepreneur and executive Mike Loftus leads MLE Merchandising and Sign Solutions, which is located in the Chicago, Illinois suburb of Elmhurst, IL. Mike Loftus is also based in Elmhurst, where he and the MLE team offer a wide range of branding services, including sign production.
Self-adhesive vinyl is a popular material for commercial outdoor signs. Companies often use it to create colorful and high-resolution advertising signs. In addition to being durable, self-adhesive vinyl is versatile and sticks to many surfaces, including concrete (in flooring applications), plastic, and metal. It also bends easily around curved surfaces due to its thinness and flexibility.
Self-adhesive vinyl is heat-tolerant and can withstand temperatures up to 162 degrees Fahrenheit. Also waterproof, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Permanent outdoor vinyl, a type of self-adhesive vinyl, often has a glossy finish.
Another type of self-adhesive vinyl (called removable indoor vinyl) can be used indoors. Unlike outdoor vinyl, this type of vinyl is designed for temporary use and has a matte finish. Temporary use (in this context) means it can be easily removed from a surface later.

The Difference Between Revenue and Retained Earnings
A resident of the western Chicago suburb of Elmhurst, IL, Mike Loftus serves as the president of MLE Merchandising and Sign Solutions. His company offers branding services to retail, construction, and hospitality companies. Under Mike Loftus’ leadership, the Elmhurst company has reached a revenue of $40 million, with more than 15,000 projects under its belt in the last three years alone.
Net revenue is calculated by deducting a business’ production/service costs from its gross revenue. The entire proceeds accumulated within a year. Costs like allowances, sales discounts, and commissions are factored into this calculation. Businesses settle the cost of production or operations using net revenue.
Retained earnings are all that’s left of a business’ revenue after operation costs (direct and indirect costs), dividends to shareholders, and income tax have been removed. Retained earnings can be reinvested in a business. For instance, most businesses fund marketing, R&D, and new equipment purchases with their retained earnings. Reasonable retained earnings increase loan prospects since banks scrutinize retained earnings before lending money to businesses.

Recipe for Hawaiian Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
A resident of Elmhurst, Illinois, Mike Loftus oversees all the divisions of his company, MLE merchandising & sign solutions Inc. Mike Loftus also enjoys cooking especially grilled food, in his free time. If you're looking for a simple grilled dish that can be enjoyed alone or with a side, the Hawaiian grilled teriyaki chicken is a good option. Whether you're eating it alone or with a side dish, the recipe remains the same and is easy to follow. First, put your ingredients together. To prepare this dish, you'll need 1 1/2 lbs chicken thighs, preferably boneless and skinless, 1 cup soy sauce, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1 cup pineapple juice, 4 chopped garlic cloves, and 1 fresh minced tablespoon of ginger. Begin by placing the chicken thighs in a bowl or large Ziploc bag and then setting them aside. To make the marinade, mix up the rest of your ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl until the sugar dissolves. If you have your chicken in a bag, pour the marinade in, push the air out, and shut it tightly. If you use a bowl, pour the marinade over the chicken and cover it. Refrigerate for a maximum of one night or a minimum of 4 hours. After, take the chicken out of the bag and set it aside. Remember not to throw away the marinade. Next, pour out the marinade into a medium saucepan and let it simmer. Place your chicken on a grill, and then using a brush, lather some of the hot marinade over the top of the chicken. Avoid placing the brush back into the marinade after brushing the chicken. Set your grill to 165 degrees internal temp and wait until your chicken is done. For the final step, take your chicken off the grill and set it on a baking dish. Pour the rest of your marinade over it and serve.

His company, MLE, has completed more than 15,000 jobs in the last three years. He resides in Elmhurst, Illinois, and in his downtime, Mike Loftus enjoys traveling. Traveling is beneficial to one's mental health. It enables one to visit new locations, see new cultures, and escape regular daily routines. Getting out there and seeing the world can help you develop your creativity. People who travel tend to see and experience different things, ultimately increasing their creativity. They develop better problem-solving skills through exposure to diverse cultures, learning new languages, and sampling different types of food and music. Moving on, one of the many psychological advantages of travel is that it aids in the reduction of stress and anxiety. Travel has been associated with stress reduction and can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression. Vacations can help people relax by distancing them from stress-inducing environments or activities. Allowing your brain to turn off and de-stress while on vacation can lessen the risk of heart attack, improve sleep quality, and boost productivity. Regardless of your business schedule and the social activities you engage in, it is important to take time out to rest. The consequence of failing to do so is burnout, which can harm your overall health and well-being. Going on vacations is the best way to escape from the stress of your daily activities. It gives you an opportunity to unwind, rest and recharge so that you can return to your normal routine activities feeling better.

Chicago Cubs Starting Pitcher Alec Mills Throws No-Hitter
Based in Elmhurst, IL, Mike Loftus is the president of MLE Merchandising & Sign Solutions, Inc. He founded the multifaceted signage company in 2002 and has since expanded its operations to 14 states with total annual revenue exceeding $25 million. Outside his work with MLE, Mike Loftus enjoys following the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). Cubs' starting pitcher Alec Mills threw the 16th no-hitter in franchise history on September 13 in the team's 12-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. The last Cubs no-hitter was thrown by Jake Arietta in 2016. His catcher for that game was David Ross, who now serves as manager of the Cubs and is only the 11th manager in MLB history to manage and catch a no-hitter. Mills' no-hit performance was the second this season and the 305th in MLB history. The 28 year old threw a career-high 114 pitches and struck out five batters in the victory. That ties him with Dallas Braden for the fewest strikeouts in a no-hit performance. Mills struck out Tyrone Taylor for the second out in the ninth inning, and Jace Peterson grounded out to shortstop Javy Baez for the final out of the game.

The Highest Rated NCAA Game of All Time
As company president, Mike Loftus has driven activities at MLE Merchandising and Sign Solutions, Inc., in Elmhurst, IL, a western suburb of Chicago, since 2002. Outside of his work at MLE, Mike Loftus enjoys following a variety of sports, including the March Madness college basketball tournament. A 68-team, single-elimination, collegiate basketball tournament, March Madness was established in 1939. The tournament has developed into one of the most popular sporting events in the United States, with many fans filling out brackets in hopes of predicting the tournament winner. Despite the continued success of the event, no game has surpassed the popularity of the 1979 final between Michigan State and Indiana State. Aired on NBC, the 1979 championship game received a 24.1 rating, drawing more than 35 million viewers. By comparison, the 2019 final between Virginia and Texas Tech received an 11.6 rating, with 19.63 million viewers on CBS. The driving forces behind the 1979 game’s popularity were the talents of opposing players Larry Bird, of Indiana State, and Michigan's Magic Johnson. Michigan won 75-64, led by Johnson’s 24 points. The game served as a preview of the professional rivalry the two would have, highlighted by 19 games in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. Other highly rated March Madness games include Georgetown and Villanova in 1985, Duke against Michigan in 1992, and North Carolina State versus Houston in 1983, all of which averaged more than a 22 rating.

The MLB Home Run Chase of 1998
Mike Loftus has driven operations at MLE Merchandising and Sign Solutions, Inc., in Elmhurst, Illinois, as company president since 2002. When he is not managing all daily operations and brand services at MLE, Mike Loftus enjoys supporting local sports teams, including the Chicago Cubs. In 1998, right fielder Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinal’s Mark McGuire attempted to break the Major League Baseball (MLB) single season home run record of 61, set by Roger Maris in 1961. The resulting competition, known as the 1998 home run chase, drew significant national attention. Leading up to the chase, McGuire and Ken Griffey Jr. fell short of Maris’ record in both 1996 and 1997. McGuire remained on course to beat Maris’ record for almost the entirety of 1998, though his projected total hit a low of 58.9 at the start of May. By the end of the month, he was on track to surpass 80. Moving into June, however, Sosa made great strides in the contest. He had just 13 home runs entering the month, less than half of McGuire’s total, but a record setting 20 home runs over the course of June brought him to a tie with Griffey and just four short of McGuire’s 37. While each player’s fortunes varied over the rest of the summer, Sosa and McGuire found themselves locked at 55 home runs at the start of September. Early in the month, McGuire hit the record tying 61st home run of his season against none other than Sosa’s Cubs, and the following day he connected on his shortest home run of the season, also against the Cubs, to break the MLB record. Sosa, who embraced McGuire on field, tied him at 62 a few days later, but his rival ultimately ended the season with 70, second all time to Barry Bond’s 73 homers in 2001, while Sosa’s 66 remains good for third all time.
