hey this is a long shot but I'm looking for a specific painting i saw on tumblr of a sad or maybe thoughtul looking robot where the reflective metal of its body was rendered in these absolutely gorgeous concentric blobs of flat pastel colors. I'm pretty sure it was from the 60s, maybe 70s. it was just the most unique way o depicting metal i've ever seen and i can't find it

Sounds a bit like Mike Hinge? He loved a sad robot and he had a uniquely stylized "flat" approach. Here's my tag of all his stuff I've posted if you want to sort through it.
