The first kiss
Nacho
You and Nacho had been friends for quite a while during this time. One day, you were chilling in his house and talking and it kinda just happened. Having a complicated life, Nacho was scared to drag you - one of the people he cares about mostly - into it. But the sexual tension between the two of you reached a tipping point when you got into the topic of relationships.
“If things were easier, maybe I’d actually have time to find love” Nacho sighed.
“You deserve to be happy, Nacho.”
“I am. With you.” He realized how it sounded and shook his head. “...Nevermind.”
But you’d heard enough to know you were not crazy. He liked you, too. Without another word, you pressed your lips against his. At first, he responded but soon pulled back.
“We shouldn’t.”
“I know.”
Silence fell, and after a moment, you stood up, walking to the door before you felt Nacho grab your arm. Before given the chance to react - he spinned you around and pulled you into a kiss. With his palm cupping your face, he kissed you in a way no one had done before. It was passionate and needy. Afterwards, he held onto you, breathing hot air at you whilst your foreheads pressed against each other.
“Stay.”
You nodded.
“I’m not going anywhere”
Jesse
Jesse invited you to one of his parties and since you liked him, you decided to go. Little did you know, he felt the same… Opening the door to the house, you were hit by loud music, loud voices and the smell of alcohol, sweat and weed. At least 20 people in the living room vibing to the music whilst getting drunk and high. You felt a bit disoriented entering the place, directly scanning the place for Jesse. You found him sitting in the living room together with the friends Skinny Pete and Badger. When seeing you he smiled and greeted you.
“Yo! I’m glad you made it here.” After hugging you he dragged you along to the kitchen. “Something to drink?”
“Yes please!” After handing you a beer, the two of you sat down next to Jesse’s friends and talked. They kept glancing at the two of you and grinning, like they knew something you didn’t.
“Man… You’re so down bad for them, Jesse.” Badger mumbled whilst smoking his joint. Jesse looked like he wanted to murder his best friend on the spot, whilst Pete just laughed. So that’s what they were grinning about…
“Is that right, Jesse?”
“I…” He stuttered an explanation, but none was needed.
“Maybe I like you too?”
“If you’re playing with me right now…”
“Jesse.” You said firmly. “I mean it.”
After that, Jesse basically grabbed your hand and walked out of the house, with his friends whistling and laughing at the scene.
“Sorry ‘bout them. They’re such damn jerks.” Jesse muttered and looked at the night sky, his face turned away from you to hide the blush.
“You like me.”
“And you like me, too?”
“Yea.”
“Perfect.”
Without realizing it, the two of you had moved closer to each other. When he leaned down, you didn’t hesitate. It was like you could taste the smoke on his soft lips as you kissed. It was intoxicating. Afterwards, you both looked at the sky.
“We should have done that a long time ago.”
“Yea”
Kim
Kim was overworking herself - as usual. And being her worried friend, you couldn’t stand the sight of it. During her lunch break, you went to her office at HHM only to find her buried in paperwork.
“Kim, for fuck sake…”
She barely noticed your presence so you had to walk up to her and tap her shoulder.
“Hey…” she said absent-mindedly.
“Kim…”
“I’ll be done soon, don’t worry”
“You’ve said that for days, Kim.”
“Yea? Well why don’t you-” realizing she was about to snap at you, she went quiet really fast and looked at you in shame “I’m sorry.”
After some convincing, she finally agreed to leave the office and let you buy her a coffee. Seeing her holding the warm paper cup containing cappuccino melted your heart. She looked so calm, for once.
“I’m worried for you.”
“That’s sweet of you… But really, I’m fine.”
You were not satisfied with the reply, and she noticed that - since you had stopped walking.
“Hey… What’s the matter?” she said softly and threw the empty cup in a near bin before standing before you.
“I care about you, Kim. I don’t want you burned out…”
She stroked your cheek, and you could no longer hold back the feelings you harbored. When you kissed her, she didn’t pull back. Rather, she pulled you closer to her.
“Will you stop nagging if I take the afternoon off?” You could only nod in reply, still in shock after the kiss.
Jimmy
“Are you even listening to me?”
“Hmmm? What?” you looked at Jimmy, who drove the car. “Yea, of course. You told me about some clients.”
“...If I bore you out that badly, just tell me, sugar.” he muttered before parking the car.
“You don’t bore me, Jimmy.”
“Sure seems like it.”
He left the car and you had to run after him.
“Look, I’m sorry… It’s just, I’m worried, I guess.”
“Worried? Why?”
“You should hear yourself sometimes, Jimmy.” You hissed. “You’re dealing with some dangerous people. And you always put yourself in shit situations!”
“I got this! Ok?!”
“Yea, sure you do. Sure.”
He rolled his eyes and continued walking.
“Why do you even care?” he grumbled. You had to bite your tongue to not say anything stupid. Because what could you even say? “...And you’re back to ignoring me. Thank you, sweetie.”
“Because I just care, ok?” Tears burned in your eyes, and now he noticed.
“Hey… Sweetheart-” he sighed, seeming uncomfortable with your emotions. “I’m sorry, ok?”
He squeezed your shoulder.
After a minute of awkward silence, he tried lightening the mood with saying:
“You got a lil crush on good ol’ Jimmy, eh?” Your reaction told him everything. “You do??” he chuckled.
“...Idiot.”
“Your idiot.” he murmured before stepping closer - he tilted your head up and forced you to look at him.
“I knew you got the hots for me, sugar. Don’t worry. I feel the same.”
And then he kissed you. At first, you wanted to pull away. You were still angry at him - after all.
But it’s hard to be mad at someone that kisses you like that.
And the way he smiled against your lips - Oh god…
Mike
You had just found out about Mike’s work, and just what he does for his boss Gus Fring. And you were not happy. Saying “you needed to think”, you rushed out from his place.
“Can you at least let me explain?” Mike hissed, following you - one step behind.
“Mike…”
“Please.” Something in his voice had changed. It went from the usually calm but firm tone - to a pleading one. It caught you off guard and you turned around to look at him. He seemed stressed.
“What?” you muttered.
“Please, let me explain.”
And seeing how desperate he seemed, you couldn’t say no. So you listened to him, letting him tell you about his career and why he did it.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“Why would I?” he scoffed, but quickly realised how harsh it sounded. Before you had a chance to leave again, he grabbed your hand.
“Because I care about you. I’m not pulling you into my bullshit.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his next words…
“I can’t lose you. Please.”
And then…
He kissed you. Just like that. And how could you pull away, when you’d been dreaming of this moment for so long?
The kiss said more than thousands of words.
Everything made sense now.
Howard
You had known Howard for quite a while and he invited you out for lunch during one of his breaks.
“Over here!” you saw him sitting by a two-person table at the restaurant, waving at you with a big smile. You joined him.
“Jeez, Howard! This place looks… Expensive!”
“Only the best lunch restaurant in town!” He said cheerfully, but you could sense some sort of… Nervousness? In his voice. “Tell me about your day!”
“Well uhm… It was-” He looked at you intensely. It was both cute but a bit weird. “...Are you ok?”
“Of course!”
After lunch - which he insisted on paying - you tagged along when he walked back to HHM and his office. Before saying goodbye, he stopped you.
“Wait! I actually need to talk to you.”
“Alright… Shoot.”
“I…” he gathered his thoughts and cleared his throat before continuing - or at least trying to. “I kinda… Y’know…”
You couldn’t help but smile. The blush said everything.
“Howard…” you cooed, and then leaned in and kissed him. He was startled, but then kissed you back and sighed in relief at you initiating this.
“Was that what you were trying to say?”
“Y-yea…”
“Well… I definitely feel the same.”
AHSHSHS this is prob one of my cheesiest one-shots yet- HOPE Y'ALL LIKED IT EITHER WAYS <3 Next part will be "First date". If you like this concept like, comment or reblog! Would mean a lot. :) MWAHHH

broooo what if... mike taking you and jesse out on a run and jesse fingerfucking u in the backseat thinking mike is oblivious until he pulls over and rails both of u in the middle of the desert
me going insane trying not to title this “kid named finger” 💀
anatomical terms: (t-)dick
“Are we-“
“No.”
“You didn’t even let me finish!”
“I didn’t need to.”
Jesse slumped back in his seat and groaned in frustration. The two of you had been in the back of Mike’s car doing god knows what, heading god knows where, for god knows how long. He hadn’t told either of you shit. As far as you both knew, you were just there to keep him company. That didn’t make much sense, though, unless his idea of good road trip buddies were two brats constantly asking “Are we there yet?” and “Can we get McDonald’s?”
You leaned into Jesse and rested your head against his shoulder. At the very least, the backseat was a good spot to cuddle. The tight space, comfortable upholstery, and just barely adequate air conditioning made it the perfect location to get nasty. Or at least, it would be without your babysitter behind the wheel.
That didn’t seem to bother Jesse, though.
He wrapped his arm around you and shifted his body weight to lean against you. He used his newfound leverage to dot your neck with soft kisses. His slender fingers dragged down your body until they reached the drawstrings of your shorts. From there, he started to pull at them.
You gasped, your voice anxious, breathy, and soft, “Jess, what are you-?”
A tattooed hand clamped your mouth shut, and its owner whispered in your ear. “Be quiet, yo. He’s gonna hear you.”
You got the message, even though you couldn't believe what it was trying to say, let alone do. Regardless, you let him work.
Jesse slipped his somehow cold and clammy hand past the waistbands of your shorts and underwear, until he found what he was looking for. Sure enough, your t-dick was already standing at attention. That made him smirk, his breath hot against your ear as he spoke, "Heh... Someone's excited..."
He was right. The confined space, the thrill of getting caught, Jesse himself, it was all very exciting. He took your dick between his fingers and jerked you, making sure his other hand was soundproofing your lips. He could only do so much, though. He couldn't stop the rapid breaths escaping through your nose. Oh, well. Maybe the old man's hearing wasn't what it used to be. Knowing how sensitive you were, this was probably the quietest you could be.
But it wasn't enough.
Mike rolled his eyes and pulled the car off the road, weaving in between bushes as he found a place to stop. You two hadn't even noticed he'd changed course, that is, until he turned over his shoulder and said,
“Do you two think I’m stupid?”
The two of you jumped, and Jesse ripped his hand off your mouth, trying his best to act natural. "What..? Wh... What do you mean, man?"
Mike was not in the mood for bullshit. "What I mean is you still have your hand down his pants. Now, since you two think I'm dumb enough to not know what's going on back there, perhaps you'd like to explain yourselves."
You both stared at him absolutely dumbfounded, mouths agape, stuttering and stammering as you tried to craft a convincing excuse.
"Well, uh... I was just, uh..."
"Jesse, uh... He was, well..."
Teamwork. An absolutely impenetrable defense.
Mike killed the ignition and opened his door before barking orders at you. "Out of the car. Both of you."
You and Jesse gulped, exchanging a look of guilt and terror. "Welp. It was nice knowing you," seemed to be the thought on both of your minds as you nodded to each other and scooted over to your respective sides. When you exited the vehicle, Mike was standing at the front of the car facing you both, the captain of the ship about to make his two dumbest crewmates walk the plank. That was the nice way of putting it. In reality, he was probably just going to shoot you both in the head and leave your bodies for the vultures. Jesse walked over to you and took your hand in his, waiting for the shot, but instead of a bullet, he fired another command.
"Bend over the hood. Now."
Now, the look you shared with each other was one of confusion. You were honestly just surprised you weren't facing the death penalty for risking cum stains on the leather interior. Neither of you got to say anything before Mike did.
"I'm not gonna ask you again."
You held hands and trudged around to where he was standing, arms folded over his chest, waiting for you to surrender yourselves to him. You and Jesse bent over the hood, your fingers intertwined, and stared at the windshield while Mike prepared to do whatever the hell he was planning.
Mike crept up behind Jesse and tugged his shorts down below his ass. Then, he went behind you and did the same. He spoke with terrifying indifference, "If you brats needed attention so bad, you could've just asked."
He didn't even give you a second to parse the meaning of that before a firm palm came down on your ass. Then Jesse's. Then yours again. In between yelps and moans, Jesse squeezed your hand to get your attention. You turned your face to meet his. He winked at you and muttered under his breath,
"You're welcome, yo."

Star Gazing

The impulse for jumping in front of a moving car felt like the temptation of eating chocolate late at night, something you craved deeply, but perhaps you should just sleep. Allow yourself to dream and forget about the chocolate, forget about the feeling that seeded itself inside that wanted to extinguish your very existence.
It was one of those nights again, the lonesome table that you sat at felt as if it had trapped you in a spiraling thought process you couldn’t break from. Everything felt heavy, mournful…Regrets about things that had yet to even occur spun.
Fuck…
Your eyes blinked from your stupor, how long had you just been staring at the wall, this wasn’t helping. Those racing thoughts broke through again, would be nice just to end it all, a knife to the throat, gurgle out silently. It would just take a second. These thoughts used to scare you, but now they just felt dull and annoying, like a little bird that kept squawking at you no matter what you did.
You let out a little sigh, looking at the clock in your kitchen, fuck… 2am…
Picking up your phone you scrolled through your contacts, no reasonable person would ever be awake now. You stopped at one, Mike, weighing the pros and cons of possibly waking him up all for your stupid bull shit. One text, you prayed.
Hey, you up?
You sent it and closed your phone, a solemn feeling entering you. Nothing was expected to come from your one prayer, but maybe.
Beep.
Never had you opened your phone up so quickly, the light of your phone burning your eyes as you quickly read the response.
Yes. Can’t sleep again?
No, you either? Care for company?
I’ll pick you up.
Relief filled your body, hands folding on the table as you allowed yourself a moment of peace. You wouldn’t be alone.
The car door was your only notice that he was here, you didn’t even bother checking before you exited the house. His dark silhouette stood by his vehicle, it hummed slightly, he just watched as you approached his passenger door.
You both got in wordlessly, your hands instinctively buckling yourself in, Mike gave you a little nod of approval before he started pulling away into the serene night.
The windows were down allowing you to reach your hand out and feel the wind through your spread fingers, pretending to be a bird soaring high above. The wind caught under your wings as you expertly glided through the flow of air, it felt calming.
The high beams gleamed off the signs and metal passing by, and streetlights above gave small fragments of light disappearing as soon as they came. Nightlife felt so different than the day, you absolutely loved it, the sound of bugs chittering calmly, most slept while a few people did as you two were doing right now.
“Where are we going?” Your voice broke the silence, you tried bringing yourself to the present, licking your wounds and allowing your mind to heal from stupid thoughts.
“You’ll see.” Was all he had to give, he gave you a comforting glance before refocusing on the trip before him. The two of you seemed to drive for almost thirty minutes, you just sat back and reclined the seat, closing your eyes and letting the rumble of the road lull you into a peaceful doze.
Mike relaxed a little seeing you start to doze off, he was glad you texted. He couldn’t care less about when he was late at night, but you had been worrying him lately. He knew something was up, but wanted you to approach him first, it wasn’t the first late-night outing he had experienced with you.
The sudden humming of the vehicle turning off alerted your brain that you had reached your destination, your body slowly climbing up from the soft seat.
“Mmmm, w’here?” You mumbled looking around, there was nothing…
You blinked slowly observing, the darkness didn’t allow for much to be seen, the sandy dirt and shrubs stretched for miles, and you were far away from any civilization.
Confusion split your tired mind as you turned to give Mike a questioning look, “Is this like some horror movie shit? Like, are you gonna sacrifice me now?” your glaring squint made him raise his brows at such an accusation.
“Tsk, yeah, now get out so I can nail you to a cross.” He rolled his eyes opening his door and popping the trunk button. You followed him out with a small smile and stretched your cramped limbs, letting out a small yawn.
Mike’s dark jacket could be seen digging around inside the car’s trunk, curiosity led you to peer into the back, trying to see over him inside the dark hole.
He quickly rose back up with a large bag in hand, it almost looked like a gun case…You gave Mike a worried look, “Here, carry this.” he just handed you the large tote and closed his trunk softly, the bag was a lot heavier than a gun. He shouldered a smaller bag, this one looked more familiar, maybe his lunch box?
Mike started to walk out into the desert, you trailed along trying to carry the awkwardly long bag with you, slightly tripping over some roots and stumbling after him. He gave you a quick glance to see you were still upright, “Come on, pokey little puppy.” He commented with a smirk.
A frown just laced your lips, he would never let you live that joke down, would he? He was right though, you practically tripped on nothing and got distracted by a bug on the ground, before realizing that the person you were walking with was now ten meters away.
Mike stopped in a particularly shrub-free area, he glanced around as if to inspect the dirt and decided it met whatever strange criteria he wanted.
“Here’s a good spot.” He said looking back at you standing awkwardly, awaiting his command and still grasping the large tote.
“Go ahead and put it down. Genty,” he said letting the bag around his shoulders hit the ground softly before approaching you.
You placed the bag down and kneeled on the ground, your fingers already unzipping it, Mike just watched from above you. Slowly metal gleaming rods and a cylinder was revealed, your brain slowly locking into place what exactly you were looking at. A gasp left your lips, looking up at Mike excitedly, a giant grin across your face.
“Oh my god, is this a fucking Celestron?” Your hands practically shook as you pulled out an extremely costly telescope, it had large optics, it was massive… Way more impressive than a gun, you carefully set it down and brought out the standing tripod to set it up, Mike just watched as you unpacked his gear like a giddy child.
After completely setting it up and fiddling with the lenses and eyepieces, you finally positioned it and stopped adjusting the mount, “Shit, this thing will be able to see everything!” You exclaimed already taking a peek into the lens.
You stopped dead in your tracks, the light that gleamed and shone before you were awe-inspiring. You were currently looking at the billowing dust particles and clouds of the Milkyway galaxy, past and distant stars shone and glimmered clearer than anything you’d seen before. You felt the hairs on your arms raise, and a small shiver ran down your spine.
You just sat and silently observed, swiveling the mount to look at different things before you, it didn’t matter what. Everything you saw was beautiful and vibrant. You pulled back and looked at Mike with a very star-struck look, you felt choked up, your voice failing you.
“Its…Uh, it's strange to think that we’re currently looking at long-dead stars.” You chuckled, resting your hands on your thighs, “Weird, huh?” You smiled watching his expression rest on an amused and happy look, he was enjoying your reaction.
“Think you can spot Saturn?” He asked looking up and into the night sky, you hummed slightly and began orienting yourself, looking for a familiar constellation.
“Capricornus…” You mumbled to yourself, you could see Saturn with just your eyes, but with the telescope, it would be brilliant and beautiful.
You checked the visuals a few times, homing in on the planet before you finally were able to clearly see it. You looked at it for a few seconds, a strange feeling rose in you.
“It looks… Lonely and sad.” You grimaced pulling back, “Also, can I not see its ring fully?” You questioned Mike, he shook his head a little gazing upward.
“It depends, our movement in the system means we’re getting a head-on angle of the ring, it’ll come back around in a few years. What you’re probably seeing now is mostly shadow casting on the planet.” He explained, you listened carefully and made a little “ah” sound peaking back into the scope.
“Poor Saturn, not a good look on you, still a beautiful planet though…” You smiled and sighed.
The two of you spent another hour looking for stars and constellations, naming out as many as you could spot. Mike apparently knew a great deal of lore and stories behind them, you enjoyed him regaling hunters who became trapped in the stars and wicked creatures forever entwined inside the patterns above you.
Stories that humans told hundreds of years ago, and stars that changed little above you, it was serene knowing that billions of humans adored the very same burning little lights. A beauty upon the world that all shared.
Mike and you were currently lying down on a thick blanket on the ground, he had brought out warm coffee and sandwiches for you to share. The two of you just watched the stars above, they slowly moved and seeped into the sky as the Earth turned gently.
At some point you had cuddled closer to Mike, the night desert had gotten cold and started to suck the warmth from you. He just wrapped his arm around your shoulder as you rested your head in his armpit. His jacket crinkled against your face as you snuggled as close as possible while continuing to gaze at the stars above.
“Thank you for bringing me out here, this was fun.” You said with tiredness seeping in, Mike was silent for a moment, just basking in your presence before feeling his hand squeeze your shoulder in a comforting way.
“Of course, and if you ever wanna do midnight activities, I’m always gonna be there. Just make sure you got some coffee already brewed next time.” He joked smiling into the night sky, you chuckled slightly and readjusted yourself, so you were sitting up.
You gently took his hand and tugged it, “Come on, I wanna go home, I’m tired.” You whined at him, he just sighed in agreement and got up with you, complaining that you were making his old man bones hurt.
“Mmm, can I crash at your place? It’s closer and I’m already so sleepy.” You said buckling up in the car, Mike raised his eyebrow at you but didn’t say no.
“Plus, your bed is wayyy comfier,” You smiled practically falling asleep in the passenger side before he could even start pulling away.
“Yeesh,” Mike said trying not to fall even harder for you as you dozed off in his car, his chest felt warm, and relaxed. He too, just wanted to lie next to you and go to bed, not a worry in his mind.

The Weight of Silence
[Nacho Varga x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: Sometimes hope makes the inevitable hurt even more. In this case, it wasn’t that you didn’t see it coming—it’s that you couldn’t bear to believe it.
WC: 729
Category: Heavy angst, Hurt/ Slight Comfort {TW: Mentions of Death}
I’m almost finished with the BCS/BB universe as a whole, and since I just can't get it out of my head, I decided to drop the most heartbreaking drabble I’ve ever concocted since this series is truly giving me an emotional rollercoaster.
Anyway, to start off with this universe, I wrote Nacho since he’s genuinely one of my favorites
『••✎••』
When the knock comes, your stomach churns. It’s too loud. Too sharp. It echoes through the silence of the house like the sound of a guillotine blade dropping. You freeze in place, staring at the door. You know who it should be.
It should be Nacho.
Your hand hovers over the doorknob, fingers trembling. You’re afraid to open it. Afraid of what might be waiting on the other side. But some part of you—a desperate, clawing part that refuses to accept what you already feel in your gut—makes you twist the knob.
The door opens.
But it’s not Nacho.
It’s Mike.
He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t have to. The weight of his presence says everything you don’t want to hear. His face, lined with years of things no man should have to endure, is impassive. But his eyes—they’re a storm. Unforgiving. Knowing. Pitying.
You’d carried hope—ridiculous, stubborn hope all the way to this moment. Even though the last time you’d heard from Nacho—er, Ignacio, his voice had carried a heaviness you’d never heard before.
You think of that phone call, of the sound of his voice crackling through the receiver. The pauses between his words were longer than usual, like he was searching for things to say but couldn’t find them. It wasn’t like him. Nacho always had a plan and always knew what came next. But that night, he sounded… done.
Still, you held onto his words like a lifeline.
“Stay safe,” he’d said, his tone low and careful, the way someone handles a fragile thing they don’t want to break. “You’re gonna be okay.”
And then there was the way he lingered before he hung up. The silence stretched as though he wanted to say something else. Something final.
But he didn’t.
You didn’t let yourself think about what that meant. You’d refused to let his tone or his silences creep into your chest and settle there. You convinced yourself it was fine, that it would all be fine. That somehow, some way, he’d come back.
Now, staring into Mike’s weathered face, you feel the weight of all the lies you told yourself come crashing down.
The fairytale you’d built—the one where Nacho outsmarts everyone, the one where he walks through your door and pulls you into his arms like none of this ever happened—splinters into dust.
You feel your knees start to weaken, your body betraying you under the crushing weight of grief. Your breath comes in shallow gasps, and for a second, the room feels too small, too quiet, too still.
“...Is he...?” Your voice is thin, barely audible, and cracks with the effort.
Mike doesn’t answer. He doesn’t need to. His silence is louder than words, and it fills the space between you with unbearable truth.
Nacho knew he wasn’t coming back. Mike knew it. Deep down, you knew it too. But hope is a cruel thing, and you’d let it blind you to the reality you couldn’t face.
The memories come unbidden, slamming into you like a wave. The sound of his voice when he let his guard down was soft and steady, like you were the only person he trusted in a world that demanded his loyalty but offered nothing in return. The way his hand would linger on your back, grounding you, protecting you, even when he couldn’t protect himself.
You think of the way he’d look at you sometimes like you were something good in a life that had been nothing but bad. He never said it outright—Nacho wasn’t that kind of man—but you saw it in his eyes. And you loved him for it.
Now he’s gone.
Your legs give out, and you stumble back, clutching the doorframe as though it can hold you up. But the truth is heavier than your body can bear. The world blurs around you, and a low, broken sound tears from your throat.
Mike steps forward, his hand falling onto your shoulder, firm and steady. He doesn’t say anything—he doesn’t try to offer you words that wouldn’t help anyway. He just stays there, grounding you in the moment as you collapse to the ground.
The sobs come then, uncontrollable and raw, and you feel yourself breaking apart. Shattering.
But Mike’s hand stays. Quiet. Still firm and steady. It was a reminder, a small reminder, that even in your grief, you’re not completely alone.

Warnings: flirting.
Always be aware that there might be spelling mistakes and such in my writing. I do read over them, but they can just slip under my radar sometimes.
A/N: I think this is the first time I am actually writing a male reader fic so I hope I do it justice. I am a male myself but I rarely use gendered terms with the reader anyway.
Also I’m like terrible at flirting so if the readers lines aren’t great then... my bad ig.
This is a two part series, so begin waiting for the next edition to arrive!
I hope you enjoy!
More Gustavo fics.
It was around the time that Lalo Salamanca was presumed ‘not dead’ when you had gotten the job.
Their crew was sparse, most had been taken up at posts where they surveyed the other properties/places that Mr. Fring usually went to. So Mike reached out with an offer.
You knew him from work done in the past where you had acted as a guard for a person he wanted to meet, for a reason you had later learned, but that specific guy had a target on his back from a lot of local businesses.
For this job, like many others, you had no idea what you were getting into. And even if there was a proper brief, none of it would prepare you for what would actually come.
Gustavo Fring had been a name thrown around many times in your life. A very common thing when working in this particular field.
But, seeing him right there in the flesh, on practically a daily basis at this point, was a thing that there wasn’t any words to describe. Because usually no one lived to even talked about it, or, obviously, they weren’t allowed to.
It was some time in the late hours of the afternoon, the liveliness of restaurant slowly reducing as time went by.
There were barely any customers occupying the booths or the neighbouring tables, and the new people coming in usually just wanted something for the road if they couldn’t be bothered to wait in the drive through.
You were moving amidst the dinning area, the long dust pan and brush in hand as you collected up stuff that had fallen during peoples meals, and swept across the beige tiles that felt increasingly bright in the sun.
The surroundings were still a bit noisy. People were chatting away, cars passed at almost every minute, there was muffled clatter from the other employees as they moved around kitchen equipment as they cooked.
It wasn’t that bad.
In fact, the only thing that you didn’t really like about ‘working’ in Los Pollos Hermanos was the need to wear its uniform.
Being a guard in this side of the business usually enforced the wearing of dark coloured clothes. It was a way to keep up a feeling of mystery, provide the impression that you were a person not to be messed with.
But there you were, stood in an obnoxiously bright yellow shirt which was paired with that damn red visor and a matching apron, to top it all off.
This might as well have been a punishment than a job.
After however long, you completed your round of the dinning area and ducked into the hallway beside the drinks machine, finding the place where you had initially picked up the dust pan and brush to return them.
And you did, a deep breath filling your lungs once the equipment was leaned back up against the wall.
It had been a long time since you had worked around a plethora of people and their own individual personalities, so coming to this work place almost felt jarring in comparison. People were properly polite. Gave smiles that were actually genuine.
The clear of someone's throat emitted from somewhere to the left, and your head turned in that direction immediately, your feet soon following, “Mr. Fring.”
“Has the floor been cleaned?” The way he dressed for work was always so smart, though it kind of reminded you of SpongeBob, and it perfectly matched with a lot of things about him.
You gave him a simple nod, “Yes, it has.”
“There are still a few customers out there, so I’ll do the last round once they leave.” you then explained and turned yourself to face the doorway that lead to the main area, attempting to peer round it so that you could see into the dinning area again and the car park through the windows.
“Any signs?”
The words left you just blinking for a moment. You had thought by taking your leave from the conversation that it would bring on its end. But now you were looking back to the man who hadn’t moved a step.
Anyone else would’ve been confused at what he had meant by that question. but you knew instantly. And even if it was your job to check, it sort of made you feel bad that you had to.
“No one came.” you stated, plain and simple so that it wouldn’t display your pity, and Mr. Fring subtly took in a deep breath, his chin only slightly raising, “Good... Go clean the empty tables.”
Now was when he was about to walk away, probably to go back to his office to make calls as a way to further check if there was any new information, but when he watched your face crinkle up in what looked like distaste at the task he had just given you.
He seemed to become a little distracted.
“Do I at least get paid more?”
Sure, Mr. Fring had a lot of encounters with many different people, each with their own separate way of approaching things, different ways of speaking.
But no one had ever attempted to talk the way that you did. Especially when in direct contact.
It was a thing that could only make him stare, even glare, in an attempt to hide his surprise. But it wouldn’t shake you. In fact all you did was shrug, “Oh, well.” you breathed out, giving him one last glance before you moved to get the cleaning supplies.
“I guess if it’s for you then I’ll do it.”
~
You found yourself making your way through the many hallways of Los Pollos Hermanos. An amount that after a long day made the building feel like a maze, though the size wasn’t even comparable to one.
Soon, you had located the way to your bosses door, a deep breath sucking into your lungs before you raised your hand to knock against it. The sound was the only thing that filled the hallway.
“It’s Y/n. Y/n L/n, Sir.” you called quickly, realising that at this time he was always expecting to be in danger. A mysterious knock to his door wasn’t exactly going to help with that.
It took a good minute for there to be any kind of response, but after it sounded like an object had been set down, the muffled voice finally came through the gaps of the door.
“Come in.”
Your hand grabbed at the handle, the cool metal almost shocking the warmth of your skin, before you twisted it until the door was pushable. “Hey,” you had began, ready to step into the new room. But that was quickly halted when your eyes fell on its contents.
It was very dark compared to literally any other room in the building. The walls may have been a little darker already, but because of him relying on only the light from the sun and a lamp residing on his desk, it took you a moment to actually see anything.
You cleared your throat when your gaze landed on a waiting Mr. Fring, “Sorry to interrupt-- Lyle said that you wanted to see me earlier?” you explained and finally stepped into the room so that you could close the door behind you.
“I didn’t know I had made such an impact already.”
Mr. Frings eyebrows had twitched in a way that almost wasn’t visible. However, the rest of his face didn’t change, “When accepting the job, did Ehrmantraut explain what it would hold?”
Your shoes scraped the ground as you stopped yourself about a step away from his desk. Your back straightened as you took a moment to think, “He barely does when he has an offer.” you pointed out simply, though your tone changed when you next spoke. “Was I wrong?”
“Did he mention that you would be working for me... personally?”
In that moment, you had paused for about three seconds, even if it had felt like 10 minutes in your head, as a certain word rung through your ears over and over again.
“Personally, huh...” you repeated. It tasted sweet on your lips, your mind running very fast over any of the things that it could mean. “I guess I didn’t quite catch that part... But I like the sound of it.”
Through your now, slightly, dazed state, you had missed the way Mr. Fring had lowered his head just a tad. His lips were pressed together. His eyebrows begging to furrow though he wouldn’t let them, especially when you had spoke again.
“Am I supposed to go get you stuff? Run errands, drive you places-- That kind of thing?”
The man before you almost huffed a laugh. He dipped his head as he slowly pushed back his chair. “In the future, it is possible.” Mr. Fring was now stood up from his seat, his feet taking him round his desk in such a slow pace that it had your pulse raising. “But for now we are going to my home.”
He stopped in front of you, about two and a half steps away, with that strong gaze he always held. Though this time it most definitely felt different as your breath was close to hitching, “Now I really do like the sound of this.”
In about a second, Mr. Frings body had entirely stiffened.
It was unnoticeable to people who had just met him as he was usually quite a ridged person, the wind couldn’t even sway him. But to someone that knew him enough, it was clear as day.
The intimidation he had held on his face had faded as if it had just been wiped off with a cloth. It was almost like he had forgotten how to breathe.
Suddenly, before you could clock anything, Mr. Fring turned towards his desk like there should be someone waiting on the other side. It almost startled you. But soon, a hand of his reached across the surface of the table.
“Mr. Fring?” you had questioned, any and all excitement now being swarmed by confusion.
Just as you were about to move, try to catch the look on his face, his feet had began to twist until the rest of his body urged to follow. And now, he stood, facing you once again.
His eyes were aimed at what you could now see was some kind of sticky note folded in half, and then they flicked to yours.
His chin raised until it was in level with your own and by the next time you had blinked, the note was held out in front of you.
“Read it.” was all he said when you hadn’t taken it, and after just looking at him for a moment, you sucked in a quiet breath, retrieving the paper from between his fingers.
By the time you had began unfolding it, Mr. Fring had turned once again, making his way back to his deskchair when your eyes landed on the word in black ink.
“Lakeview?” The chair squeaked beneath him as he sat, but besides that he didn’t even bother to look up. He simply grabbed a pen and dragged a clipboard in front of his eyes.
“Am I allowed to ask, or is this going to be a game of hard to get?” The urge to smirk tugged at the corners of your mouth when the tip of his pen visibly stilled. Though, when Mr. Frings head slowly raised as if it was in slow motion, that feeling had stopped in a instant.
His eyes were almost harsh when they met with yours, as if they could pierce right through your own. They never moved and as time passed, he hadn’t even blinked. “I’m sure you can figure it out.”
It was a warning. He knew it, you knew it.
So, guess his surprise when the only thing you had done in response was, once again, simply shrug your shoulders.
His whole body froze like it had done before, though this time he hadn’t broken the eye contact.
Every other person he had met, even ones that worked for him, crumbled under his gaze when someone had pressed his patience or authority. They would look away, forget how to speak, or quickly turn on their feet to do whatever he had asked.
But not you.
Your shoes were planted in the same place as before until you wanted them to move.
“You know, I do like a good game, Mr. Fring.” It was so silent in that room that it was like you could physically see your words pierce through the air. A pin could drop and the sound could be heard as if it was played through a thousand speakers. “I think having an opponent like you is going to be great fun.”
That was when you had officially turned on your heel. The smirk broke across your lips the moment you faced the door, and even more so when it had opened.
By the time you were back in the hallway, sifting the post-it back and forth between your fingers, the image of Mr. Frings expression was clear in your mind in a way that made it so hard to not laugh.
His lips were parted. Every muscle in his face looked as if it had been frozen in time, tense. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.
He almost lost the grip he had on his pen.
~
You ended up back in the main area of the restaurant, your eyes being hit with a much dimmer colour this time as the sun began to hide.
All the tables had already been cleared earlier by you, and Mr. Fring when he couldn’t keep his mind occupied. The customers had gone home, hopefully pleased with their meals, which let an almost eerie silence hang in the air as the other employees had left too.
You moved through the rows of tables, searching for even the slightest speck of dirt or trail of crumbs that would set a certain man off if he saw. But there was nothing.
It had all been more than thoroughly cleaned.
So, you ended up by the table next to the entrance, a slight sigh huffing through your nose. Your body wound round the back of bench closest to the door, a hand reaching for the red blinds that covered the window.
Your fingers parted two of the slats, and you made yourself slightly lean over the bench so that you could get closer to the glass that lay beneath the blinds.
Upon first glance of the world outside, everything seen was slowly being engulfed by the black mass of night. One so deep that it had started to prevent the ability to see the horizon.
The only car in the parking lot was Mr. Frings, coloured in such a way that it would’ve been invisible in the evening light if it wasn’t for the reflections from the surrounding lamps.
There was no one in the car, no one outside of it, and no other vehicle stalking around, as the rest were just general cars that passed by on the main road, and that was now like every 10-15 minutes.
After making sure that there was complete satisfaction with the fact that there was not a singular person in the vicinity, you let the slats set back into the original places, stepping away from the window so you could make your way through the restaurant.
Again.
The sigh that left your mouth this time was of relief when you opened the door, to what would be a supply closet for anyone else. There they were, sat in the neatest pile you could be bothered to put them in. Your clothes.
Pretty much the only item of your own that you got to keep during the day was your shoes, so when that sweet sweet fabric was in your hands, it was utter peace. Paradise. Like reuniting with a long lost lover.
Upon imagining how a person would look standing in the middle of a closet and practically cradling a set of clothes, however, you straightened yourself up into the usual guard posture, any remnants of excitement fading from your face.
And then you swivelled on your foot, leaving the closet like you had never even been in there.
By the time you had gotten to the front of the restaurant all over again, the clothing happily held in your hand, it seemed that a certain Mr. Fring had beat you to it.
There was no way to tell if he had disliked having to stand there waiting as his head was directed towards the window you had been look through before, his hands clasped behind his back that made him properly appear like a business man.
Or just an old man.
If you could see his face however, you thought that you would’ve seen that usual, intentionally, blank expression. A theory that was then proven to be true when you had stopped by his side. You cleared your throat, “I take it we’re going to yours now?”
His spine straightened in about a second when your voice found his ears. He had gotten lost, his gaze consumed by the endless possibilities of what waited for him outside the restaurant.
But in the next second, by the next time he had breathed, his body twisted towards you like he had been standing like that the whole time. The previous vacant look that carried across his face was replaced by a smile, though his eyes had not changed.
And that was it. That was all you got.
Mr. Fring passed right by you without another word, his footsteps echoing around the unsettlingly empty room, before he made his way through the door with the exit sign shining above it.
When it had closed again, further encasing the restaurant in a strong silence, you had begun to blink, your brain at least attempting to process what had just happened.
However, the longer you stood there, the further away Mr. Fring became, and by now he was on the path between the rows of parking spaces. Getting closer and closer to his car.
You almost stumbled over your feet as you made your way over to the exit yourself.
The door opened in a flash, engulfing your skin in the night air, and you were about to continue walking... Until you heard the jingle in your pocket. “Shit.”
There was a meeting that you had with Mike about a day prior. He gave a run down of the usual stuff that went down in Los Pollos Hermanos and, at least, the basic duties that the boss would have you do.
You were given a set of keys, each for pretty much any place that Mr. Fring had access to himself. Now it seemed that he was testing your memory.
After glancing back at Mr. Fring, you let out a hushed grunt, pulling the keys out of your pocket from under your apron, and then turned back to the door, locking it in a speed that should’ve gained you an award.
You swivelled round after doing a test pull on the handle and basically began jogging to catch the man who was now very close to that blue vehicle.
But just as the distance was beginning to shorten, a few things began piecing together.
The sudden change, the smile that he used on other employees, something that he hadn’t used on you all day until it was time to leave the safety of the restaurant.
You understood that he would have to put on an act at some point, sure. Though apparently it hadn’t occurred to you what that would mean until now.
He was the boss, and you were just some random guy who had a job in his business.
That doesn’t exactly give the right to catch a ride with him, now did it?
“Uh, Mr. Fring?”
The man himself had just placed a hand on the roof of his vehicle. His eyes were once again aimed into the distance, and it took about five seconds to get himself back as he then turned to you, the same smile taking over his lips, “Yes, Y/n?”
“I believe that I’m supposed to be getting picked up on something called Lakeview. Would you happen to know where that is?”
It wasn’t a name for a person, as you knew for a fact that if the man in front of you had a target of any kind he would just straight up say it, and it wasn’t going to be a place because Mike would’ve at least said something.
It was a pickup point.
Mr. Frings chin slowly raised. And now, with the smile that took over his lips, his eyes seemed to crinkle with it, “Lakeview road?”
Your spine straightened, all the air coming into your lungs feeling like it was on hold, especially when you nodded your head as a commitment to your idea.
Mr. Fring simply turned his head upon the confirmation, and he pointed towards the road on the other side of the main one, which was directly across from the proper entrance of Los Pollos Hermanos.
You squinted your eyes after following the direction, trying to see the road that was partially illuminated by a streetlight as your shoulders attempted to ease from the previous tension.
And then you spotted it. A car parked beside the red fencing.
It was one that you didn’t recognise, but still.
You were right.
In order to keep the smug look off of your face, you lightly bowed your head when your attention went back to your boss. “Thank you, Sir.” you said and Mr. Fring simply copied your previous movement before finally opening his door.
“Have a good night.”
By the time his car had left the grounds of Los Pollos Hermanos, you had made it to the edge of the main road. You were stood on the concrete sidewalk, a streetlight towering over your head as you looked back and forth to gage where any oncoming traffic was.
You only had to do it once for each side, tonight apparently being a night where not many people were aiming to travel.
So on you went, now jogging across the two lanes until you got to the other side like that one chicken did. Your shoed feet were met with a mix of sand and stones this time as there was no sidewalk to even the ground.
And then there it was in front of you.
A blue RAV4.
The driver must have sensed the new presence as within the next second, the door on their side had opened, a scene that had your feet slowing by the time the figure was out of the car.
It was a woman. One you had seen in a picture when Mike showed members of the crew working for Mr. Fring. Mrs. Ryman? Her and her husband were the people ‘occupying’ the safe house.
“Mr. L/n?” she questioned, and as soon as you gave her a nod of confirmation, she immediately proceeded to walk to the back of the car before any sort of question could fall from your lips.
She grabbed the handle on the left side of the door and pulled on it until it was open about half way so that your eyes could cast onto whatever was inside. You almost tilted your head like a dog.
There, in the back of a damn car, laying on his side very uncomfortably, was none other than Mike Ehrmantraut himself.
It all made sense.
It was late at night. Mr. Fring had now left Los Pollos Hermanos, meaning that if anyone was watching him, they would have followed his car to see where he was going next.
None one was watching you.
The urge to laugh was fighting itself way up your throat, but you took a deep breath in through your nose and let yourself walk forward when Mrs. Ryman had turned to you expectantly.
“You didn’t have another one of those sandwiches today, did you?” A grunt followed your words as you practically shoved yourself into the trunk of this random car, and shifted until the left side of your body was fully pressing into Mike’s.
The door was only just able to close again.
The surroundings were plunged into darkness. A few beams of light managed to filtered through the gaps in the backseats and the trunk cover enough so that you could make out the face of the man before you as you dropped your pile of close on your lap.
“I see you worked it out.”
Your body felt like it sunk into the walls of the car though it had barely moved, your hands raising to rub at the skin of your face either in disbelief or tiredness, “I will admit that I thought you were talking about an actual lake at first.”
Mike huffed a laugh at that, the two of you slightly rocking together when the car started backing up. “Well, I’m glad you didn’t try to find one.”
“Me too.”
Despite the fact that you were currently sat, cramped, in the back of a car. There was a feeling of comfort that had been kept from you throughout the day. Especially now that Mike was with you.
He might’ve been a man that has killed multiple people, and is not afraid to do the same to more... but so are you.
When you are on the right side, his right side, he’s just another old guy that you would see walking down the street, or sitting in a restaurant.
Being in this business meant needing to keep connections with certain people hidden so that they wouldn’t end up getting hurt as a result of someone trying to prove a point.
He was the closest thing to family.
Mike let one of those deep breaths seep through his nose, and you swear it almost sounded like the huff of a dragon. His head leaned back into the wall behind him. “How’s Gus?”
Ah. The question you knew was bound to be asked soon.
You shuffled slightly even if it wouldn’t do much, more scared of accidently kicking Mike in the ribs than anything else now. “Obsessed with me.”
The look Mike gave you was one that you could feel even if you couldn’t properly see it, and you tried not to smile as you fiddled with label of the shirt you held. The man most definitely rolled his eyes. “No, no... He’s obsessed with everything else to be honest.”
A sigh passed from your lips into the air inside the car.
Your head shook, a mixture of emotions filtering through your body as your mind reminded itself of Mr. Frings previous behaviour. “He really wants him to just show up already, but... man, I don’t know. I’m not sure if he’s actually prepared for that.”
“Well. That’s why you’re there.”
You tried to fully sit upright, only getting about half way before you looked at Mike with narrowed eyes, “Yeah, about that-- You know, when you said that you needed my skills, I was thinking more along the lines of stakeouts or surveillance stuff, or like... having me fight someone at least.”
“I didn’t exactly prepare to become a janitor.”
The car was most definitely somewhere down the main road by now. Mike’s head remained where it was, not even bothering to tilt it in your direction when he next spoke as he simply closed his eyes instead. “Still part of the job.”
You stifled a scoff, just watching the man when he attempted to cross his arms over his chest. “Gives you more acting lessons too.” Mike then added and you supressed the urge to kick him, more like nudge him, with your foot. “Yeah, yeah, yeah,” It was your turn to roll your eyes.
“You’re still paying me more.”
~
The sky above was pitch black by the time of arrival on Jefferson Street. The quiet outside, the warmth of the car, and the general darkness worked together in a way that was the opposite for most people.
The distance between Los Pollos Hermanos and Mr. Frings house was far enough that if there was a kid sitting in one of the backseats they would be in a deep sleep.
But as an adult, you were wide awake. Especially when you felt the car begin to slow after a turn.
You attempted to prop yourself up from your slouched position, your eyes trying to find an angle where you could see out the window, despite the fact that it was very much impossible to do from inside a trunk.
“We’ll be out in a minute.” Mike assured, observing your many attempts at moving. You sunk back, mirroring his position when you hit into the wall of the car, “And how do you know that?”
As if on cue, the ride to the house seemed to have come to an end. The car stopped, again slightly jolting the two of you together. “We’re in the garage.” The monotonous edge to his voice was audible more than ever.
You could only blink for a moment as the muffled sound of someone getting out of the car echoed through what most definitely was a garage. “Jeez-- How many times have you had to do this?” you questioned, and it had Mike’s head shaking in a second, a grunt rumbling through his throat.
The door beside you finally opened, and though you had to squint due to the sudden light, you swung your legs to the side, eagerly pushing yourself out of the trunk.
“Oh, man.” you breathed out once on your own two feet, and moved to the side so that Mike could get himself up while you stretched your arms high above your head in a way that your spine needed very much. “Do we really have to do that every time?”
“It’s the safest way.” Mike insisted as he closed up the car and your head shook, “Seriously?” But he ignored you, starting to walk through the garage. “Follow me.”
Even after a ride like that it was immediately work time.
You wanted to complain until you couldn’t speak anymore, but nevertheless you complied and followed behind the man like a duckling does with its mother.
You couldn’t help the way your eyes flickered around the room when Mike opened the door to what was originally a living room, “Hey, Mike.” a man had called, and Ehrmantraut started to spark up a conversation.
However, when your gaze landed on the desk that his friend was sat at, your brain seemed to tune it out.
There was about about seven different monitors on and working. Each screen displayed a shot from wherever the camera was placed. It varied from the entrance and exits of this house to what you assumed was Mr. Frings.
But even then they seemed to changed at the click of a button to an entirely different location.
Maybe he was prepared.
“L/n.”
Your eyes snapped to the door way to find Mike stood about halfway through it. He tilted his head to the side and you began walking all over again when you realised what he meant.
So, now, he lead you through the hallways of the house. You nodded at anyone you passed, seemingly understanding the tired look on their faces though this was your first proper day.
Eventually you found yourself in the basement of the house, and while Mike continued through the room, your feet slowed on the platform before the last two steps, your eyes yet again being consumed by the new atmosphere.
This was where the couple stayed after doing their daily appearance out of the house, as the rest was swarmed by a bunch of dudes.
They had most of the stuff they need. They had cupboards, a kitchen area along the furthest wall, a clothing wrack. There was a king sized bed, and a table to your right where they could sit and do whatever they wanted if they weren’t upstairs at this time.
And though your mind practically begged you to continue looking around. A certain question sprung through your thoughts.
“Listen, I appreciate the fact that there are a lot of things you can’t tell me about this job,” you began, a hand placing down on the little railing, “But am allowed to ask why you have just lead me into a basement?”
Ehrmantraut was now stood in front of the big shelf that sat at the corner of the right wall. It extended to the ceiling but the width was about 4 columns worth. Your eyebrows were quick to furrow when he reached for one of the shelves.
Even more so when quiet beeps sounded from what only could be a keypad.
“Mike?” you had questioned, a mild laziness to your voice as your brain consumed itself with finding the source of noise. And then your feet finally moved, allowing you off of the platform, onto the carpet.
But it seemed you had stopped as fast as you had started.
Your body almost jolted when a mechanical sound pierced through the air, and soon, Mike grabbed onto the middle divider with both hands, beginning to pull on it as hard as he could.
A rumbling rippled through the floor you stood on as the shelf scuffed against the carpet, and despite your disbelief, the mechanism disconnected from the first column of shelf.
It was opening like a natural door would. There was certain things on shelves that shook with the movement, though others appeared as if they had been glued down. Just there for decoration.
It wasn’t until the shelf door was turned as much as it could against it’s hinges that your eyes allowed you to focused on what lay beneath it. Your jaw almost dropped.
It was a tunnel.
There was a goddamn tunnel that connected this house to the next.
“No way.”
Mike didn’t have to tell you twice when he signalling for you to follow him this time, and upon going through the doorway, turning into the passage, it almost gave you chills.
But that was more due to the fact that the temperature was different than in the house.
The walls of the tunnel were a grey concrete. One rose higher than the other leading the ceiling to have to curve to meet with them both, and support beams, the same colour as the walls they were up against, were placed about two steps apart, the lights situated between them.
Not even a deep breath could ease the speed of your heart. In fact the closer the journey was to its end, the faster it went.
So, when the back of, what you were assuming was, the same mechanism as in the previous house was now right in front of Mike, your shoulders fought to lower.
There was a combination of knocks that the man did against the smooth door. A sound that echoed through your ears over and over again the way ripples moved in water.
Mike took about a step back with a sniff when muffled beeps came through the, practically invisible, cracks of the door, and your body instinctively straightened like a soldier in front of their commander.
The door had opened.
There was no reasoning for the way you felt right then and there.
You had met Mr. Fring earlier. You had seen him, you had spoken, exchanged even informal parts of conversation, and have stood beside each other on multiple occasions.
So why, as you stared back at the man who was now revealed in one of his usual suits, was it like your lungs had forgotten their very function.
Mr. Fring gave Mike a nod to which the man did the same, and before you knew it, with a clear of his throat, Ehrmantraut turned on his feet, beginning to make his way back through the tunnel.
Your lips parted as you watched him go, though no words could even try to roll off of your tongue. The scuff of his shoes were the only thing to echo through the air, so when that familiar voice broke through, it had your head turning back within seconds.
“L/n.”
His eyes were already on yours by the time you were back to your original stance.
Your eyebrows were raised, a mixture of eagerness and excitement rumbling through your chest and ears when he tilted his head to the side. A gesture that Mike had used earlier to get you to follow him. “Come in.”
Just you and Mr. Fring.
“I’ll show you around.”

In Plain Sight - an interactive Gus FringxGN!Reader
============================ How does it work? At the end of every chapter, you will be presented with a hyperlink, disguised as a dialogue or action option, which will then lead you to a chapter following your choice and so on and so forth :)) Please let me know what u think (please don't sh#! on me choosing the xGN! instead of xBoy, I wanna enjoy my story as well lol) ============================ INFO: ============================ Yes, there are going to be smut chapters involved at some point. You can expect tags like: (MDNI!!!)
Domination, degradation, submission, power imbalance, sexual tension, hate fuck, choking, bondage, recording the deed, manhandling, hair pulling, dragging across the floor, Gus being the only receiver, etc etc.
The course of chapters, so smutty stuff as well, depends on your choices. If you read through the fanfic once, you can always come back to this main page and try other options! :D
The action is happening during BCS, not necessarily Breaking Bad (but I so badly wanna do something with the boxcutter, well, we will see), so you can expect appearances or mentions of Lalo, Nacho, etc. (but I don't like them so it's Gus focused) and there's gonna be Mike! <3 Now, the fanfic is not fully finished, so if you don't see the hyperlink at the bottom, it simply means that I haven't added the chapters yet. Please be patient <3 <3 ============================= UNFORTUNATELY it turns out that Tumblr does not support my idea completely as every time I edit a post, the URL of the said post changes which is incredibly bad as the more I write the more chapters I'd need to edit each time. Because of that I have moved this project to my blog that I created specifically for this and future x Reader projects: https://xrdr.blogspot.com/
You adjust the headphones in your ear and feel your heart sink as you fight to recover balance on your bicycle. You take a deep breath of fresh, moist air with a heavy scent of rain and turn the handle bar to the left. You pass through a big rain puddle and speed up, allowing your bike to gain momentum as you continue down the road. In the distance, a big glowing logo casts a cone of yellow hue on the glossy street. You feel your heart speed up as you try to go through all the possible questions that employers usually ask during an interview.
As you turn your bike to the parking lot of the fast food restaurant - Los Pollos Hermanos - you anxiously check if your pant legs got dirty. You sigh with relief and drive your bike to the bicycle stand and secure it there with a key chain. You brush your hands across the fabric of your clean, light blue shirt and enter the building. It's most deserted, probably due to the bad weather and the late afternoon hour.
You nod at the employees, currently taking care of the kitchen and the dining area. They nod back and one of them appears in front of the counter, waiting to take your order. You take a quick glance at the person and suddenly you become hyper-aware of all of his facial features. You want to inspect his entire face, but you know damn well it would be weird and most likely make him uncomfortable.
'Hello, I am here for the job interview. I was told that I will be speaking to the manager named Monica.'
The man smiles at you in the most heart-warming way you've seen in your life.
'Monica is unable to attend due to personal reasons. I will be taking over your interview process.'
'I see,' you nod and offer him your hand. 'Y/N.'
'Gustavo Fring,' he introduces himself and takes your hand into his. You can feel the strength resonating off his body and the hard texture of his palms. 'Nice to meet you.'
The name rings a bell immediately. You remember that Monica introduced the Los Pollos Hermanos brand to you over the phone and his name was mentioned at least once.
'Nice to meet you too, sir. Are you the owner of the food chain?'
'Yes.'
'Oh, I'm sure you're busy then. If Monica called in to cancel, I can be rescheduled as well,' you suggest.
'That's not going to be necessary, but I do appreciate your consideration,' he gives you a smaller smile, still just as warm as the first one.
You respond with the same expression and look to the side a moment later, feeling butterflies in your stomach. You blame it on the thrill of the new job interview and look back at the man. His eyes seem like an endless void, which immediately sinks you in.
'Do you need any more time?' he asks.
'No, but I'd like to wash my hands first,' you inform him and look around the restaurant. He lowers his gaze onto your face, observing you for a moment with a lingering smirk.
'It's over there,' Gustavo says after a few seconds, extending his arm to his right side.
You nod and turn on your heel, then go to the bathroom. As you catch your reflection in the mirror, you notice a small blush on your face.
'Oh my God,' you roll your eyes and turn on the tap, then wash your hands with soap.
When you return to Gustavo, he leads you to his office at the back of the building. The room is fairly small, with a small window above his desk. There is almost no sunlight sinking inside the office and it has a weirdly hostile vibe to it, even though the owner looks like nothing else but a sweetheart.
'Please, take a seat.'
You sit down at the chair and adjust yourself in the seat, then straighten your back, while Gustavo sits on his chair in front of you, immediately taking on a perfect posture. You can feel your heartbeat speed up as he opens up the lid of his laptop and you can see a small reflection of your resume in his thin-framed glasses.
'Let's begin, Y/N.' You nod enthusiastically and he gives you an encouraging smile as his eyes come back to yours. 'I don't usually review resumes of candidates without any previous experience in gastronomy.'
A slight hint of worry flashes through your face, immediately noticed by Gustavo.
'Can you tell me why you decided to make an exception?'
He makes a pause and observes you for a while. The single ray of the sun, sinking through the window behind him, falls onto his neck, creating a shadow of his figure, which is reaching all the way across the wooden desk towards your clasped palms.
'We are in need of employees. We are planning to expand to another restaurant soon and some of my employees from the restaurant in which we are sitting are going to be transferred, as it is closer to their home address.'
'Congratulations on the expansion!' you throw in the comment.
'Thank you very much,' he responds. 'What made me accept your resume is the fact that you live near this area, but mostly it was the fact that I realized that you are a foreigner, correct?'
'Um, yes,' you are taken aback by his question and you mask your discomfort before it gets noticed. 'I came here from New Mexico.'
'I'm from Chile. I know how hard it is to get your first job here, that's why I decided to give you a shot,' he admits.
'That is so very kind of you,' you say openly.
Gustavo raises his hands and connects them in front of his chin.
'But hard or not, I am going to treat everyone equally, without giving anyone a head start.'
'Understandable.'
'Because you do not have any prior experience with customers, can you tell me, if perhaps at school or in other areas in your life, have you encountered a difficult situation, a conflict that you managed to solve?'
Even though before coming to the interview, you had multiple sessions of talking to yourself in front of a mirror, preparing possible answers for usual interview questions, you cannot help but feel a little sting of stress at the question. Your mind presents you with a flash of an image, a painful memory of a rainy night and the car lights aimed straight at your face. There is an older man standing in front of you and a much younger one to his side.
'Y-yea,' you answer and clear your throat. 'Sorry. I remember solving a conflict in my classroom, where three of the top students wanted to take the responsibilities of being the class president. I suggested a class vote to clear the confusion. The other time I also stopped a fight between two classmates.'
'How exactly did you achieve that?'
'They were arguing about some girl. I went in between them,' you respond and see his eyebrows rise slightly. 'I know, a risky move, but it was worth it. They cooled down a bit, didn't hit each other and I just listened to both of their stories. It turned out - I don't remember the context now - but it turned out that they misunderstood each other.'
Both of the stories are made up, but Gustavo Fring doesn't have to know that. He doesn't need to be made aware of the fact that your cartel family never allowed you in a public school and that you are home-schooled. He also shouldn't be made aware of your fake ID that you used for your resume.
'How would you deal with a customer who reports incorrectly prepared food? For example undercooked chicken wings?'
You look to the side, then let your eyes wander across the wall and up to the ceiling, as you make a slow, quiet humming noise, thinking about the answer.
'Do I see the food that this imaginary customer reports?'
'Let's assume that in this particular scenario, you do.'
'Ok, so I wouldn't check the recipe, because I can see the plate, so I ask them nicely what is wrong with the food.'
''It's disgusting' - that's what the customer is saying,' Gustavo responds with a shadow of a smile on his face.
''I really want to help you in this situation, but I need some more information, please. Is it not to your liking in taste or is the quality disappointing and how?' that's what I would ask, or something similar,' you clarify.
'The quality is disappointing, because the meat is partially raw.'
'I am very sorry to hear that, would you like to receive a refund of your chicken wings order or a special offer for our menu?' you respond, choosing your words carefully. You look for validation on his face, but it is unreadable.
'Would you not try the chicken wings yourself to verify their honesty, Y/N?' he asks after a moment. I would or I wouldn't

Living the Vida Loca P.4
• Jesse Pinkman & Reader. (Platonic)
(Here’s part one.) (Here’s part two.) (Here’s part three.) (Here’s part five.) (Here’s the epilogue.)
• (Find this story on Ao3.)
Summary — A short story about how a young teenaged girl gets wrapped up in Jesse's life.
Notes — We've had a Jesse chapter, a Walt chapter, a Saul chapter, and now I give you a bit of a Mike chapter.
.
The point of no return.
One evening, while you're walking your neighbour's dog, two men try to kill you.
They leave you with a black eye, a purple cheek, and a red lip, crying next to a dumpster.
All you can think about is how you let the dog run away into the night.
You shuffle to the nearest bus stop, bleeding, and call out Gizmo's name the whole way.
You huddle on the metal bench.
When you find yourself staring at your contacts list, you hesitate.
The white phone light illuminates your wet face.
Jesse has tried to call you fourteen times in the last five minutes.
His unanswered text messages haunt your phone like little ghosts.
Where r u???
come home rigjt now
man i'm sorry ok
come home
i made toast n eggs for dinner
scrambled
pls
ill make waffles if u want
we can watxh tinkerbell
or whatevr
i wont be mad pls just come home
dinners getting cold
please
hello??
A five minute gap.
Get ur ass back in this fking house rn i'm not plauing
Your thumb hovers over the call button.
One last message from Jesse; ur in so much trouble. come home.
You don't even realise you've called Jimmy until his sleepy voice picks up on the other line.
The emergency room is weirdly busy at this hour. For some reason, you imagined it slowing down sometimes.
In the lobby, wearing eye bags but looking more awake than ever, Jimmy calls Walt while he rubs your back.
Then, Walt must call Jesse.
Then, Jesse tries calling you.
A single text appears after you don't pick up; im on my way baby ok
Jimmy walks you through everything that's going to happen once the police arrive, in an attempt to make it all a little less scary.
The nurses stitch up your cheek.
They give you a lollipop that you don't eat.
When two officers come in with tiny notepads and big badges to talk about the assault, Jimmy does all the talking.
All you have to do is nod at random intervals to confirm he's got the story right.
Which he does.
( When you first gave him a detailed recount, he went pale and lost his words. You've never seen him like that before. )
For the sake of yours, Jesse's, Walt's and Jimmy's safety, you agree to leave out the part where the two men claimed Gus Fring's associate sent them.
( Jimmy, who's Gus Fring? )
( Don't ask, sweetie, okay? We'll sort it out. Let me go grab some more tissues. )
The fact they were willing to put police eyes on them for this made you cry harder.
When you're released, you see Jesse waiting for you both on a curb in the parking lot, jittering like crazy.
He runs up to you and hugs you like it's his last chance.
He says he's sorry.
Sorry for everything.
He's sorry for being a shitty dad-brother, he's sorry for yelling, and fighting, and slamming doors on late nights.
He's sorry for coming home at midnight, not saying a word, and then leaving before breakfast.
He's sorry for not killing Derrick when he had the chance; sorry for not doing it sooner.
He's sorry for dragging you into this.
He's sorry for not being there.
And he's sorry that, out of everyone back at that skatepark, you ended up with him.
You hug Jesse back.
Jimmy coughs wetly and tells you guys to break it up, I'm getting misty-eyed over here.
They take you to a 24-hour diner.
It's 11PM.
You cuddle into Jesse's side and eat a big, pink, puffy Krispy Kreme donut.
He wipes away your tears.
Then, Walter finally shows up, apologizing for taking so long. He's out of breath and he has a revolver in his pants line.
He orders a lemon curd donut with cookie crumble on top and eats it with a quaint smile on his face.
Jimmy asks him if he's just happy to be here, or if that's a fucking loaded magnum under his jacket.
Walt explains that he may or may not have taken a midnight stroll.
It may or may not have taken place in a particular neighbourhood.
He may or may not have...
Well, let's not get into all that jazz right now.
He uses a napkin to wipe a speckle of blood off his palm, and stuffs it in his breast pocket.
Jim and Walt talk about a man named Mike, while you and Jesse make paper swans together.
Walt hugs you for the first time ever when you all go your separate ways at 11:46PM.
Jesse lets you know that it's okay if you want to go home with Jimmy tonight.
You called him first, after all.
Jesse tugs on his beanie.
He does that when he's anxious.
You sniff and tell him shakily; No, you idiot. I'm going home with you.
Jimmy hugs you, pats you on the back, and tells you to come over any time you want.
He also promises you that if this goes to court, he's going to have those guys locked up for so long that their grandchildren will be serving life sentences in orange jumpsuits.
He hands you back the lollipop.
You fall asleep in the back of Jesse's car on the way home.
He puts his hoodie over you.
The radio is quiet.
It's cold tonight.
When you wake up sometime around 3AM, you're tucked into Jesse's bed and he's snoring next to you on top of the blankets.
Out of everyone at that skatepark, you're glad it was him.
The aftermath.
Here are all the reasons it does not, in fact, go to court.
The first man turns up missing on the news.
His name is Rico Perez, and you recognise his black goatee and marble-y eyes.
Jesse changes the channel quickly.
Eat your cereal, baby.
You get the feeling that Rico Perez is fizzing away in a Costco bucket somewhere.
That same day, Jesse and Walt install alarms and locks all over your house.
For about a week, you stay home from school.
Jesse calls you baby a lot more now, and sings you to sleep most nights.
He's conscious of not making any loud noises around you.
He keeps a gun on him, even if he's just frying bacon.
He plays videogames with you in your bed, and draws with you, and plays frisbee in the driveway.
He rents DVD upon DVD to watch on his laptop with you.
( They're all Tinkerbell. )
( You've both seen them like a hundred times. )
It feels like you're in witness protection.
The week goes slow.
The second man turns up dead on the news.
His name is Kennedy Adams, and you recognise his wonky teeth and bloated gums.
Jesse lets you watch this time, because Kennedy was the one that did most the damage.
There's a live video of his body bag being zipped up.
Jesse punches the air and shouts, yes bitch, like he's watching the Superbowl.
He has a very long phone call that night.
The aftermath of the aftermath.
Mike Ehrmantraut says you remind him of his granddaughter.
He's got two heavy eyes, a life's worth of scars all over his hands, and the patience of a Saint.
While the two men's deaths were pending, Mike had watched your house from 4PM to 7AM, every day, with a gun in the glovebox.
Apparently, it was him who killed the second guy.
Before one of his shifts, Mike skewered his neck on a police-standard bullet and then paid some shady officers to take the credit for it.
He sounded very bored when he told you the story.
Suffice to say, he fulfilled his duty.
The morning after his last shift watching your house, you find a little teddy bear with a pink bow on the welcome mat.
The note attached reads;
In the hopes you sleep a little easier.
You do.
The night light is still permanent.
Sudden noises still reduce you to hysterics in Jesse's arms.
You'll never visit that neighbourhood again.
Instead of sitting with the other kids, you spend breaks in Walt's classroom while he eats his chicken salad.
You avoid the alley next to Jimmy's building, and instead take up graffitiing his whiteboard with his dried-up markers.
Jesse holds your hand out in public all the time, now, and he bunks with you every night.
His texts don't go unanswered, and they look more like this, now;
miss u 2 see u l8er :)
im at walmart u want ramen??
call me ok we'll do the 4 7 8 breathing thing
yo that looks dope u like picasso n shit
mondays kicking the shiz out my ass
home in 10 :)
u having a good day bby?
yo com downstairs im puting mario cart on
love u
You don't dog-walk anymore.
You don't sing randomly in the kitchen.
You don't talk.
But you sleep a little easier.
When Gizmo is found by an old lady five miles from home, you sleep even better.
When Gus Fring turns up dead on the TV one month later, you sleep like a god damn baby.
.
End Notes — I couldn't find a suitable place to squeeze this in, so I just implied it, but Walter killed Rico right before showing up at the diner. I imagine he wrapped him in a tarp or something and locked him in his trunk, ate his donut, and then he and Jesse liquified him the next day. Fun times!

Do I wanna know? | Lalo Salamanca |
Chapter 2
I wake up with something over my face so I can't see so I try to use my other senses to figure out what's happening it smells damp and moldy I shiver with how cold it is my hands are tied behind my back and I'm sitting in a chair I try to move but to no avail
"Looks like someone's up" I hear a man say I hear footsteps coming closer to me I start to get nervous when I feel the blindfold being ripped from my eyes I blink rapidly trying to adjust to the light in the room I look up seeing a man I've never seen before
"Who the hell are you and what do you want" I say angrily he just smirks smally
"Thalia smith" I hear someone say from the shadows when I see the owner from los pollos hermanos step out, what the fuck?
"What's fast food owner want with me?" I question confused
"What's a Salamanca want with you?" he says copying my question
"Lalo? That's what this is about some stranger I talked to for 5 seconds" I say laughing but he doesn't see the humor as he signals the guy who pulled the blindfold off me to pull out his gun pointing it at me I stop laughing sitting up straighter
"Who are you?" he asks walking in front of me folding his hands behind his back
"You just said my name you must've done your research" I say looking up at him cocking my head to the side
"Your right, but I don't know why your in Albuquerque so please enlighten me" he says pulling a chair over sitting in front of me
"Private info" I say smiling he looks pissed I'm not taking this serious he looks back over to his man talking through there eyes the man comes over standing on the side of me pressing his gun straight into my temple I close my eyes taking a deep breath trying to calm my nerves
"Why are you here" he says
"To find my dad" I say opening my eyes looking him straight in the eye
"Who's your dad" he says slightly confused but trying to hide it
"Mike Ehrmantraut" I sigh out he couldn't hide his surprise on his face then I look at him confused
"You know him" I say in realization
"He works for me" he says sitting back crossing his legs
"Well maybe we could have a civil conversation about this without the bdsm" I say looking back at my ties hand he smirks
"Undo it" he says to the man still looking me in the eyes
"Well thank you" I say once the man unties the rope rubbing my sore wrists
"How do you know Lalo Salamanca?" he questions
"I met him for the first time at your restaurant so not much I don't know why he talked to me honestly" I say truthfully and he could tell he looks away thinking for a minute
"Do you know what we do?" he asks
"No?" I say confused and intrigued
"Well then let me tell you, Lalo Salamanca is in the cartel he's apart of the Salamanca family I'm surprised you've never heard of them in your bounty business, he's my competitor so to say" he says I start laughing
"In the cartel ha right your hilarious" I say still laughing when I look at him expecting to see him laughing to at the joke but instead I see him dead faced serious I slowly stop laughing
"Wait what" I say starting to get worried this is true he just nods slowly
"Fuck" i whisper to myself running my hands over my face I look back up at him
"That means my dads in it to right, what is his job" I say demandingly
"He's my hit man but his job precedes many positions" he says nonchalantly I stare at him in shock
"A hit man....great that's great my fathers a murder" I say laughing hysterically
"Only of people that deserve it" he says looking at me
"No one deserves it jail sure but not murder!" I say shouting slightly he just keeps looking at me blankly
"Would you like me to drop you off there I'm sure you would like to talk to him" he replies ingoring my tantrum, I look away thinking for a minute before deciding on an answer I look back at him
"Yes...please" I add at the end so he knows I'm grateful he told me the truth
"Tyrus take her" he says getting up and leaving out the side door I look over at tyrus
"Let's go" he says urging me to follow him so I do hesitantly
~~~time skip~~~
We're sitting in the car outside of mikes house I want to go in and tell him how I feel but I'm also scared so I just sit in the car bouncing my leg up and down
"Get out" tyrus says looking at me blankly
"Jesus fine, asshole" I whisper the last part as I get out shutting the door behind me he zooms off I huff turning around looking at the house
"Well here goes nothing" I say sighing walking up to the door
A/N: Cheesy title? Lmao Idc. This is to go along with this pitch I made. I'm so excited to make it I have been planning this out in my head for days. Also, there simply aren't enough gifs with both Lalo & Nacho in them. I already know this is going to be long so you guys are getting a word count section LMAO. Side note: I may or may not have stolen the pet names Lalo & Nacho give the reader from @asgardianangel03 (CHECK OUT THEIR LACHO X READER FIC IT INSPIRED EVERYTHING I WRITE) bc they fit so well.
Prompt: Lacho (Lalo x Nacho) x Reader where Lalo & Nacho live in a big home & eventually the reader either stays the night or ends up living with them. This is in the time when Lalo & Gus are going head to head & thanks to Mike, Gus knows about the reader. Gus orders his men to kidnap the reader, beat them up, then frees them & pretends to be a good samaritan that saves them & brings them home to Lalo & Nacho. Gus uses this to get into Lalo & Nacho's home to find out their plans & Lalo & Nacho, who haven't told the reader about their business, are freaking out that Gus is now basically the reader's best friend. ~ Yours Truly
Contains: Kidnapping, short mention of assault, blood, manipulation
Word Count: 3818 (I WENT CRAZY)
[Part 1] | Part 2
Lalo & Ignacio sat in the former's study, trying their best to keep their argues to a whisper. They had convinced you they were going on a business trip that night. Inconspicuous, easy, nothing could go wrong. That's what Lalo told his husband over & over but Ignacio would not hear it.
"Fring has to know about Y/N, you know what he'll do. I don't want to leave them here!" He whisper yelled, shoulders tense & clear fear in his eyes.
"Ignacio, it will be two nights alone & my men will be here. If you don't remember, you two are married to a cartel don (CANON AHH), my people will keep them safe."
Ignacio shushed his husband, stopping his blatant gloating. He had three things he wanted to protect, his father, his husband & their partner. Ignacio knew Y/N was in danger.
"You think Fring cares about the cartel!? YOUR UNCLE KILLED HIS BOYFRIEND!"
Lalo jumped up & covered Ignacio's mouth. You heard yelling from the living room where you had been waiting for your partners to finish discussing. It was incoherent but the volume alone scared you. You walked briskly over to Lalo's study & knocked on the door. Lalo opened the door enough to reveal his signature Lalo smile.
"Sí, querida?" He asked cheerily.
"Are you guys okay?" You asked, genuinely worried.
Ignacio pushed past Lalo, opening the door fully, & held your face in both hands, "Yes, ángel, we just had a disagreement about one of Lalo's restaurants, El Michoacáno."
Ignacio placed a kiss on your lips & gave you a soft & terribly convincing smile. You couldn't help but melt.
"What does Lalo want to do with El Michoacáno?" You asked, looking past Ignacio to see your other partner.
"He wants to abandon it," Ignacio glared back at Lalo before walking off into the kitchen.
"Abandon is a strong word, mi corazón!" Lalo chased after him.
Lalo grabbed Ignacio's arm & he whipped around, poking angrily at Lalo, "If they," Ignacio took a gulp, "If your business gets hurt... that's on you!"
Ignacio ripped his arm away from Lalo & went outside, likely to work out his emotions. He wanted to stay home with you, to keep you safe, but Lalo insisted that Ignacio had to join him for this meeting. Being asked to choose between his partners is impossible, so in the end he told Lalo this would be the one time he left Y/N home by themself. Lalo thanked him too many times to count & promised you would be safe.
In what feels like a whole different world, but really is just across town, Gustavo Fring was planning. His best man, Mike Ehrmantraut, sat across him at his desk inside a Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant. Mike placed a set of photos on the table & spread them out all facing his boss. Gus took a long moment to take all the details in. The images were all of you. You at work, you at home, you in your backyard, & you at dinner with Lalo & Ignacio. Gus pulled the last photo close to him & picked it up. The three of you looked so happy. Nacho sat next to you in the booth, you sitting next to the large window allowing a clear view of each one of you. You were all dressed nicely & waiting for your food. You held one of each of your partner's hands.
"This is their partner?" Gus asked with a monotone voice.
"Yes, as far as I can tell they have been together for a long time. Y/N lives with them down on acapulco drive."
"Put your men on the house, when you find the right moment... take them."
"Alright," Mike replied, standing up.
Gus waited for Mike to open the door before speaking, "If there are any witnesses, kill them. This needs to be foolproof."
That night, Lalo brought both his own & Ignacio's bags to his car. Their meeting would be tomorrow morning, they'd stay the night for one of Eladio's parties & bring him gifts, then return home the next night. He heaved the bags into the trunk then closed it while Ignacio gave you a tight hug.
"I love you so much, Y/N. I'll miss you every second," he spoke into your hair as he ran his hand through it.
It was oddly sentimental like it was the last time he was ever going to see you. You brushed it off knowing it was just a trip to one of Lalo's restaurants in Mexico. Lalo turned with a huge smile on his face & Ignacio beelined to the passenger side door, still upset with his husband. Lalo pulled you to him with an arm wrapped around your waist causing you to blush.
"We'll be home as soon as we can, querida," he promised genuinely.
"I hope so, I love you both. It's going to be hard by myself."
"You'll do fine, call us if you need anything."
With that Lalo took a step back, kissing down your arm. With each kiss, he got a bit further away from you until he reached your hand.
"I love you," he smirked, giving you one last kiss on the hand before heading to the car.
You watched them pull out of the driveway, Lalo putting a comforting hand on his husband's thigh which was inevitably swatted at. You could hear Lalo's, 'Aye! That hurt!' from his cracked window as they drove off, causing you to chuckle. You let out a yawn before heading inside, ready to go to sleep after a long day.
Mike, who had heard the whole conversation from his car parked a bit down the street, lifted a walkie-talkie to his mouth, "Give it five minutes, if the coast is clear go in."
You got into some comfy clothes, one of Ignacio's shirts & Lalo's pants, & climbed into bed. You laid down in the middle of the large bed & pulled one of your partners' pillows to your chest. You already felt a bit sad that they were gone, letting out a soft sigh. It's okay, you'll make it. The door flung open causing you to lurch out of bed, four men with guns piled into the room pointing their guns & flashlights at you.
"What- Who are you?" Your voice trembled as you raised your arms above your heads.
One man walked up to you wordlessly & slammed his pistol into your head, effectively knocking you out. The man threw you over his shoulder & got behind two of the men, one behind him, & the group made their way out. They walked out of the house past a car with two of Lalo's men inside who were shot dead. You were bound & placed in the back of one of the cars that your assailants had come in. One of the men in the group left to dispose of the car & the bodies while the others headed off to Gus.
You woke up feeling immense pain in your forehead. You were trapped in a room with white walls & gray, concrete floors. You weren't bound any longer but you felt weak. You got up & walked to the door, turning the knob. It was locked. Panic raced through your body as you remembered the men in your home. You were kidnapped. They must have targeted you because they knew you were home alone, at least that's what you thought. A large, buff man entered the room & dragged you by the shirt into another room.
"No, please- don't do this," you begged as he grabbed your wrists, locking you into cuffs above your head.
"Shut up!" He grunted.
You obeyed, not wanting to get hurt any worse than he intended to hurt you. Hours & hours of grueling pain, you swore if there were windows it would be broad daylight by now. When the man uncuffed you, you fell to the floor. You couldn't bring yourself to stand up or even move, for that matter. He lifted you up to make you sit against the wall & pulled out a camera.
"Smile," he mocked before taking a picture, "Your husband is going to give me so much money for your dumbass."
A fabrication made to think you were just a ransom. Gus Fring had come up with such an intricate plan to weave himself into your life, it even scared Mike a little. Using you as a way to get into Lalo & Nacho's personal life with you on the verge of finding out about their real business as leverage, not to mention showing he could kill you if he wanted to. The man left the room, staring at his phone. He did exactly as he was told & left the door unlocked. Gus noticed, from behind a two-way mirror, that you had realized the door was unlocked.
"Nows your time to shine, Fring," the man walked into the adjacent room.
Gus nodded & walked out towards his car, turning it on & pulling out of the parking lot. You used all your strength to get up & hobble over to the door. You opened it & let out an airy laugh, you could escape this. You looked out into the hallway to see a door open to the outside, baiting you in that direction. You sprinted outside just as Gus pulled back into the parking lot. You begged him to open the door & he quickly leaned over & opened the passenger side door. You climbed in & ordered him to pull away. Once you couldn't see the plain white building in the distance you turned to Gus.
"Thank you so much."
"Are you okay?! What was that, why are you covered in blood?" Gus flawlessly put on a scared good samaritan act.
"I- this man took me. He- he-" You began to feel really dizzy.
"Are you alright, do we need to go to the hospital?"
"I- I think I'll be..." You fell forward, going limp.
Amazingly, just as Gus planned. He turned around & right back to the building. His man met him at the passenger side door & carried you inside & into a separate room. Dr. Barry Goodman, his doctor from Mexico, was flown in just for this to work. The man rested you on the hospital bed & Dr. Goodman gave you meds to knock you out. He watched the torture that you had been through, instructing the man to stop when he thought you'd be close to losing enough blood to pass out. Now he had to patch you up. He placed you on your back & peeled back your shirt, knowing you'd be in immense pain if you were awake. This was going to be a lot of work.
In Mexcio, around the time the doctor finished patching you up, Ignacio & Lalo were preparing for Don Eladio's party. Ignacio paced the room wiping sweat off his face.
"Qué ocurre, mi corazón? (What's wrong, my heart?)" Lalo asked as he buttoned his shirt.
"No respondieron a mis mensajes de texto (They did not respond to my texts)," Ignacio spoke softly, worry coursing through his veins.
Lalo grabbed Ignacio's shoulders & put on a reassuring smile, "¡Todo está bien! Estoy seguro de que están demasiado ocupados divirtiéndose (Everything is fine! I'm sure they are just too busy having fun)."
"¿Llamaste a tus hombres? (Did you call your men?)" Ignacio looked deep into Lalo's eyes, looking for either hope or comfort.
"Sí, sí, Ignacio. ¡Dijeron que nuestra querida está bien! (Yes, yes, Ignacio. They said our darling is fine!)" Lalo reassured his husband, pulling him into a hug, "You're too paranoid, go get dressed."
"Alright, te quiero (I love you)," Ignacio sighed before turning to his suitcase.
Lalo pulled out his phone feeling fear finally hit him. His men hadn't responded. He thought they were just ignoring his texts, he refused to believe any worse. He began furiously typing, 'Idiotas, contesten su teléfono. Necesito una actualización sobre la seguridad de mi pareja. (You idiots, answer your phone. I need an update on my partner's safety.)"
You woke up to the sound of a heart monitor beeping. You saw Gus on the other side of the small room, seemingly giving a police officer a summary of what happened to you. When the man dressed as a cop noticed you were awake, he walked to your side.
"Hello, Mx. can you tell me your name?"
"Y/N L/N."
"I'm sorry that we had to meet on such circumstances, Mx. L/N, but I need to know anything you know about the man that kidnapped you."
You told the man everything you remembered down to the mole on the guy's cheek. You noted the color of the building on the outside & any small detail that came to mind. The man nodded as you rambled, writing down the things you said.
"Alright, thank you Mx. L/N. We will find this man & bring him to justice. I have given Mr. Fring my number & I'll get you updates on the case through him."
You nodded & thanked the man, his weird method of communication made sense in your drugged up stupor. The doctor took the officer's place with a small bottle in hand. Gus walked to your other side.
"The doctor said you can go home after he gives you the medication you were prescribed. If you tell me where you live, I can drive you home."
"Umm, 712 Acapulco Drive. I don't have my keys but I think there's a spare key hidden under a rock," you blabbed.
"Mx. L/N, I'm going to give you some pain medication. They're going to make you really sleepy, alright? Then your new friend Gus will take you home," the man tried to make light of the situation while giving you Fring's name.
You nodded, feeling the meds hit you seconds later. You laid back in your hospital bed & let yourself fall asleep, believing you were in safe hands now. By the time Gus got you home it was late at night & Lalo had a bad feeling in his gut. He texted you that he & Ignacio were coming home. Gus had laid you down on the couch on your stomach & taken your phone & neglected opening any messages to avoid getting caught. Gus walked into the kitchen & made you a cup of tea, he heard you wake up when the pot went off.
"Gus?" You asked while sitting up on the couch.
"Yes? I thought I'd make you some tea, it always makes me feel better!" He gave you a cheery voice, the same he'd give his customers when he asked how their food was.
"Oh," you paused out of shock from the stranger's kindness, "Thank you."
The moment Gus stepped into the living room, the front door flung open, scaring you both. Lalo had his hand on his gun, which rested on his hip, hidden in the waistband of his pants. The world froze for Lalo. He pulled Ignacio behind him & analyzed every inch of you & Gus. Fring has tea in his hand, not a gun. You look more scared by him kicking open the door than you do Gus. You look tired out of your mind & in pain, was he hurting you? He decided to play it safe.
"Who are you?!" Lalo yelled, pretending he didn't know who Gus was.
You understood Lalo's fear, realizing you hadn't been able to check your phone. You walked up to him & placed your hand on his chest, feeling a racing heartbeat.
"This is Gus, he saved my life. Everything is okay, Lalo!"
Lalo dropped his hand from his gun, hoping you hadn't taken note of its existence. Ignacio stepped in front of you & cupped your face with his hands, something he had picked up as a nervous habit.
"What do you mean 'saved your life,' ángel?"
You felt a pit grow in your stomach as you prepared an explanation. Lalo walked up to you & wrapped an arm around your waist like usual, causing you to jump & cry in pain. Ignacio wrapped his arms around your head protectively as you cried, he glared at Gus.
"What happened?" Lalo asked as he stepped towards Gus, his voice having an eerily threatening tinge to it.
Ignacio whispered sweet nothings in your ear in an attempt to draw your mind away from the conversation as he led you to Lalo's study.
"Your partner was kidnapped, sir. They escaped bravely & hopped in my car. I took them to the hospital & brought them here," Gus explained, knowing you were still in earshot.
Ignacio used one arm to close the double doors to Lalo's study, always keeping one arm on your body to remind himself you were alive & at least okay. When the door shut loudly, Lalo's face dropped.
"What do you want, Fring?" he spat out his words like poison.
"I was just trying to be a good samaritan, help a fellow person in need," he gave Lalo the same customer service smile despite being alone with him now.
"What did you do to them?" Lalo would not let Gus keep up this facade.
"I only helped! I drove them to the hospital & contacted the police. I heard those kidnappers hurt them pretty bad though," Gus' last sentence stung, "I'm so sorry that happened, I'm just glad they got out."
"I could kill you right now & no one would know," Lalo's voice became gravelly from pure rage.
Gus looked off towards the study, letting his smile soften, "Y/N would know."
Lalo gritted his teeth. He could only imagine how upset Ignacio was with him. You were crying in his arms from the pain.
"The doctor gave me meds for the pain, I think Gus has them."
"Don't worry, ángel, I'll go get them. You stay here & don't move a muscle," Ignacio stood up & his heart ached as he let go of you. He didn't want to spend a second away from you, but he didn't trust Fring.
Ignacio walked out of the room, being met with his husband's death-wishing glare directed at Gus. He didn't dare turn his head, knowing he had already fucked up he intended to not let Gus out of his sight.
Ignacio held his hand out in front of Gus, "They said you had pain meds."
Ignacio seemed downright unamused & completely unphased. Gus took the medication out & placed it in Ignacio's hand. He gripped the small container, opened it, & poured one into his hand. Ignacio raised his hand a bit, holding eye contact with Gus.
"Take it," Ignacio spoke simply.
"Those are for your partner... for their back."
"I said take it," His voice never wavered from what can only be described as bored.
Gus shrugged his shoulders & swallowed the pill, "The doctor gave this to them, not me. Just oxycodone."
Ignacio studied Gus' face once more before turning on his heel & walking back to the study. Lalo waited until the doors closed once more to continue talking. Ignacio returned to his spot on the couch with you laying between his leg & on his stomach. He grabbed a bottled water from behind him without getting up & handed it to you.
He read the label out loud, "Alright, 10 milligrams every 12 hours with food. Have you eaten, ángel?"
"No," you groaned, "Not since the dinner Lalo made before you both left."
Ignacio was taken back to the moment he finally agreed to go with Lalo, when he was cooking that very dinner. If he just stayed, you would be safe right now. He hadn't even looked to see your bruises, possibly just pretending you were never bruised.
"What did you do to my men?" Lalo asked, already assuming the answer.
"What men?" Gus asked innocently.
With that, Lalo grabbed Gus by the jacket & pulled him outside, throwing him onto the grass. He pulled out his gun & pointed it at Gus, the man on the floor quickly raising his hands to protect his face.
"There, I don't know if you're afraid of cameras or what! Tell me what happened or so help me I will shoot you & tell Y/N you went home!"
Gus stood up silently & patted the dirt off his pants. He looked up into Lalo's eyes, his smile finally fading to a deadpan look.
"Your men are dead, my men disposed of them."
"Why didn't you just kill Y/N?" Lalo was now poking around for information.
"Would you rather I did?" Gus caught on immediately.
Lalo sighed, "Give me the name of the man that hurt them & I will consider not telling Eladio."
"Don't lie to me, Lalo. You'll tell Eladio either way, you can at least say that to my face. But as a sign of goodwill, Brian Clarke. There's an e at the end of Clarke."
"Goodwill? You kidnapped my partner! How is that goodwill, huh?" Lalo asked, taking a step towards Gus & placing his gun into his waistband once more.
"Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to-"
Lalo could not take any more of this bullshit & punched Gus in the face, "Oh, I'm so sorry. That looks like that will leave a mark."
Lalo, once again, grabbed Gus by the shirt & dragged him inside. He threw the poor man to the sink the moment he realized he had a bloody nose. He pushed a roll of paper towels in his direction. The sound of Ignacio trying to convince you to go back in the study made Lalo turn his head for a second before stepping back to keep both the area you were coming from & Gus in view.
"Querida! Did the pain meds work?" He tried to sound positive in a caring way, it was hard in the moment.
"Yeah- Wait, what happened?!" It took you a second to notice Gus' bleeding nose.
"You know, bloody nose season. Right, Gus?"
"Yeah, I get them all the time. Nothing to worry about," Gus spoke as his blood dripped down the sink.
You let out a big yawn causing even Lalo's eyes to soften. Ignacio nervously placed his hands on your hips, "Can I see your bruises so I can know where not to touch you?"
You reluctantly agreed, afraid to try to explain what happened, & turned around so both of your partners could see your back. Nacho slowly lifted the shirt to show bandages covering your back, soaked with blood.
"They cut you?"
"A lot," you admitted weakly, "It felt like hours, I don't know for sure."
"Oh, ángel, I'm so sorry," Ignacio's arms found themselves wrapping around your head again, "Lalo, grab Y/N a snack to go with their meds & I'm going to take them to bed. Oh, & mata a ese pollero, mi vida" (Kill the chicken man, my life (pet name))
A/N: Part two? I would be so down. Reblog or comment if you want it. I am so proud of this & I'll proofread it when I can.
Victor x Reader P¹
reminder:There are two Michaels, her brother Michael Monroe and Mike Ehrmantraut, so try to focus so as not to confuse them!
Your clothes:
*You were wearing a white, sleeveless shirt under your gray pajamas*
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
At first, you and Mike(Monroe)planned to spy on Gustavo Fring's work and gather the necessary information to threaten him with it...And you were hiding the fact that you were a young woman who worked as a hired killer, because as far as you know, there are a few women in Albuquerque who work as hired killers, but most of them are men...So you started wearing these masculine clothes, hiding your protruding chest or any of your femininity, and you forced Michael to call you Louis during work or during serious and important times only.
_______________________
You were watching Los Pollos Hermanos Restaurant from your car, which was a few meters away from the restaurant, when you noticed a black car approaching the restaurant and parked in the street. You tried to look closely and saw a man coming out of it... Victor...Then you wrote down in your notebook the time, location, and what you saw specifically. Then you returned to the surveillance, and Tyrus and Victor were carrying boxes with the company’s logo on it. It seemed to be bread dough or something like that... You continued the surveillance,Then something else happened and you decided to leave and search at night, since you were a semi-nocturnal creature...
23:04
Somehow, you knew one of the branches of the crystal meth business that Gus was hiding was a car wash. You were following them with your eyes inside your car, hoping to find an entrance through which you could sneak out...With the strength of your vision, you were able to see a ventilation hole located on one side of the building, and smoothly you entered the building quietly, watching closely. Tyrus, Victor, and a number of men were guarding the place. You sneaked into Gus’s office,You were sure that no one would enter, and while you were searching the place looking for some things that might be useful to you, you came across a closed drawer, and without thinking, you broke the drawer and saw some files that you began to read and photograph,At that moment, you heard the sound of feet heading towards the office. You quickly returned the files in the place to their previous state and went next to the door. While the man was opening the door, you pounced on him, knocked him unconscious, put him under the desk and left the room,You sneakily wandered among the workers and easily left the building and returned home...
the next day
Gus discovered the broken staircase and that one of his men had been knocked unconscious after being interrogated by Mike. Meanwhile, you and your brother Michael had called him to arrange an interview with him,Gus's men greeted you and let you in, and Gus began talking to Michael to join the drug trade with him. Victor and Tyrus were standing in front of the door, and you were sitting in a separate seat next to Michael, looking sometimes at Gus and sometimes at the two frowning men,Michael threatened Gus to expose him and tell the DEA about him if he didn't agree. After thinking, Gus agreed that you would join him. Then Michael looked at you « Louis let's go » You stood and looked at Gus, then Tyrus, and Victor as you walked out the door,From that hour, your night shifts began with Gus and his men, guarding and such matters...
BrBa/BCS characters on Valentine's day
Fandom - Breaking Bad/Better call Saul
Happy valentine's day to everyone that celebrates! Shout out to my single fellows, same bestie 🫶
Pairing: Mike Ehrmantraut - Nacho - Jimmy - Kim - Jesse - x gender neutral reader Genre: Fluff, headcanons Warning(s): Cheesy af lmao. User is gender neutral (they/them and referred to as partner) Words: 900 Summary: How do the BrBa/BCS characters celebrate valentines together with reader? English is not my main language, if I make any spelling mistakes please let me know so I can improve my writing! <3 AO3 link soon
How do the BrBa/BCS characters celebrate valentines together with reader?
Mike
Mike doesn’t really get the idea of valentine's day, when he can be affectionate any other day.
Probably the one who scoffs at couples that exaggerates valentines day with expensive gifts etc (same Mike, same)
Double standard king, he’d do just that, just to see you all happy when he surprises you
Probably cringes at himself, but your reaction to his affection makes it worth it
If you like celebrating valentines, then so does he.
Mike will take you out to a fancy restaurant and make sure you feel special
Also make sure he has the day free so he can spend it with you.
But this is nothing unique, this man treats every day like a valentine's day and takes all opportunities to spoil you.
When you give him a gift too, he’s rather surprised.
He’s not used to receiving gifts and having someone spend money on him “You didn’t need to” meanwhile he smiles like an idiot
The day is spent with dinner, cinema or maybe both?
Of course he has more plans for later, too. 🤭
Nacho
Same with Nacho, he’s not that fond of Valentine's Day, especially all the cheesy annoying couples that make such a big deal out of it.
He thinks it’s ridiculous to only show affection and give gifts to his partner once a year, he does so every opportunity he gets (which is often, homeboy got no limits when it comes to you 💀)
But of course, he will make a big deal out of it when it comes to you.
He buys you roses and some gift but feels really awkward about it
Which quickly changes when he sees your happy reaction.
When you give him a gift too he probably plays it cool
Meanwhile he melts on the inside.
He loves you and the thought of you spending money on him makes him flustered “What did I do to deserve them?” He thinks as he looks at you in admiration.
He takes you out for a date and then takes you to his place iykwim ;)
Jimmy
Honestly? He has two moods: 1. Planning valentine’s day weeks ahead 2. Forgetting about it and panicking about it when waking up on february 14.
He spoils you with gifts and dates any other day, but he still likes celebrating valentine's day with you.
So he feels really bad if he forgets about it, which he did today lmao
He woke up early in the morning, feeling like he had forgotten something.
Homeboy rushed out of bed to get to the store early to buy gifts
He doesn’t give a fuck it all fancy restaurants are fully booked for the night, he wants to take you there and wont give up.
Somehow finds a way to get a seat for the two of you at the restaurant
He picks you up and drives to the restaurant, making sure you have the best day ever.
But knowing him, you can sense he forgot about what day it was.
You don’t mind, though.
Of course, you give him a gift too, just to watch him blush when he receives it lmao
After a perfect date, he has plans for when you go back to his/your place. He wants to thank you for the valentines gift, after all. 😼
Kim
Kim loves you more than anything, but her job takes up lot of the time which she wants to spend with you
She doesn’t get the opportunity to take you on spontaneous dates, nor does she like it.
Kim wants to plan the perfect dates when it comes to you
Valentine's day is her way to “make it up” to you by really showing her love and affection to you
She plans it months ahead, with booking a table at a fancy restaurant, buying a thoughtful gift, and making sure she has nothing work-related planned, so she can spend the day with you, and only you.
She buys some thoughtful gift for you, maybe some jewelry, roses or chocolate etc
She doesn’t expect something back but when you hand a gift to her, she feels so appreciated.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a “bad” gift, she’ll love it either way and keep the gift close to her all the time, knowing it’s from you.
Kim makes sure you have the best date of your life, doing everything to make you smile and enjoying every second with you.
The valentines celebration ofc continues at her place ;)
Jesse
Though he would never admit it, Jesse LOVES valentines day.
Whenever he goes into stores with valentines decorations and gifts, he gets the urge to buy something
Spoiler alert: His impulse wins.
On February 14, he probably has at least done 10 impulse purchases to give you
“You got something for me?”“Of course, idiot” He smiles as you give him the gift he didn’t expect (but was hoping for)
Jesse looking at you with so much love in his eyes, grateful to have someone like you.
He takes you for a perfect, cheesy date.
He doesn’t like awkward dinner dates, so he ends up taking you to an amusement park or takes you for a romantic picnic, preferably when it’s dark outside.
He def dresses up nicely too, even if you guys end up at some amusement park or a not so fancy pizzeria lmao
When back at his place, he’s prepared with lights shut off, lighted scented candles and romantic music, just like he’s seen in cheesy movies
You can probably guess the rest. 🤭
ur so smart
pop pop’s dick definitely don’t pop up no more so yk he got the dick pills on his nightstand. so if he’s got you in his bed he’ll pop one as soon as y’all get there and just like eat you out and finger you until it kicks in. by the time it does you deadass don’t know what number orgasm ur on bc pop pop’s slop top is ridiculous (he can take out the dentures 😳)
but if ur ever on a ride with him…
the only thing that can get it up is your mouth
so you believe /copium
after about 17 minutes straight of slobbering on pop pop’s köckenballs you finally get him up to a half-chub and it’s gone by the time you get settled in his lap. you’re grumbling and pounding the seat in frustration. he just laughs.
“i told you it wasn’t gonna happen, kid.“
he sticks two fingers inside you and crooks them just right, twisting, scissoring, fluttering them overtop one another. you cling to his shirt and whine into his neck and he says
“now are you done making a fool of yourself?”
Jesse Pinkman- Mr.Whites daughter
Just smut, just smut. I’m in love with Jesse, I’d risk it all for Aaron Paul ngl.
This peice is part of a larger series called mr.whites daughter that I’m working on, gonna post when it’s close to completed
Your pov-
5pm-
I decided to take the afternoon shift at work because I was going to jesses tonight to watch a movie and eat takeout and mutually forget everything that's happened in the last two days, such as the bathtub incident, the man in the basement, the fact that he was no longer selling his house, oh and how he’s cooking meth with my dad. Jesse and I use to date in highschool, from sophomore to senior year, we split up when I went to college for pharmaceutical chemistry and so yess I stoped out my sophomore year and started working at a bar. Never told my parents.
I parked my car in the driveway, turned the engine off and I saw the door open. Jesse was standing there in his red long sleeve and his black jeans. he had a smile on his face as I closed the door, holding a 6 pack in one hand.
"Yo I think I have a boner." He laughed as I locked my car and walked over.
"For me or this?" I held the 6 pack up.
"Both I think." I laughed as I walked past him into the house. He closed the door behind us and i put the 6 pack on the coffee table. I felt his hands on my waist as I took my phone and wallet out of my pockets.
"Hi Jesse." I spin around and in grip and tossed the items in my hand onto the couch.
"Hi (y/n)." He mimicked me with a smile. I stood on my toes a bit and caught his lips on mine. He leaned down as he returned it, his hands holding me closer to him. I snaked my arms over and around his neck, and smiled into the kiss. We broke it off a few seconds later and he looked at me with blue eyes glazed over in a look I've been craving since I last saw him. I couldn't help but steal another.
"I'm in love with you." I whispered.
"Same." He whispered back,"but!" He picked me up and I gasped as I wrapped my legs around his waist and laughed, I held onto his shoulders tightly,"you're here now yo, you ain't leavin for college or some shit so you can't leave me now."
"Last time I checked, you said it was better if I just left you so you didn't distract me." I raised my brow and he rolled his eyes.
"We work together now bitch." He laughed and gave me a kiss,"work place PDA now."
"Not for awhile."
"Ya okay, whatever you say yo." He started waking away from the couch.
"Jesse?"
"Let's get baked and roll one out first." He winked, as he walked down the shirt hall to the stairs.
"Fine." I sighed jokingly and hugged onto his as he walked up the stairs, I knew he wouldn't drop me, he was strong then he looked but it didn't stop the nervousness of it,"please don't me please don't drop me."
"I ain't dropping you till I get you to my bed." His hand moved from my back to the back of my neck and his other sat under my ass holding me up. He placed a kiss on my shoulder as he turned down the hall to his room.
I kissed his neck as he walked into his room and instead of dropping me in the bed. He sat down and held me close as I straddled him thighs, my lips kissing his neck and his jaw, not nipping him just kissing, until His hand tangled into my hair, holding me closer to his neck. So I took it as the signal to just bite him and I did, right on his pulse point.
"About Fuckin time." He groaned, my teeth nibbled on his skin sucking it, creating that famous hickey he always had when we were dating. I licked it and blew on it and he sighed rolling his head back a bit more as I kissed it.
"Mine now bitch." I whispered into his ear as he placed a firm grasp on my ass. He pulled me away from him by my hair and made me look at him. His tongue swiped over his bottom lip slowly and he bit as he looked in my eyes. My clit throbbed immediately and he smirked and came to kiss my neck, titling my head a bit to get the area he wanted. His kissed his trail to the area, from my collar bone, to my pulse, and down to where my shoulder Met my neck. I moaned as sucked and nibbled on the area, he used the hand on my ass to start making me grind on him slowly yet hard, I took over at action as his tongue licked my skin and his hands moved from their positions and sat on my waist.
"I've been dreaming of this for awhile." He kissed my jaw,"every night," he kissed the other side of my neck," Wakin up thinking you're right there next to me again." He kissed right where my v line ended,"makin me feel like a Fuckin teenager."
"Let's be honest, you're still one." I giggled and she scoffed, giving me his famous side smile.
"I don't fuck like one." He shook his head.
"Mmm tell me more." I put on s porn star accent and he laughed as he pulled my shirt up and off. I didn't have a bra on, this shirt was a bit tight so it held them pretty well, and..
"You got them pierced." He said in aww and I felt him grow harder under me.
"I got them done when I dropped out." His hands moved up my waste, over my ribs and he took them into his hands, admiring them.
"They're Fuckin gorgeous." He practically drooled and his didn't seem to notice the piercings I had in. I got them custom made, it was a J and a P decorated in red garnets.
"Glad you like them."I pushed my chest into his hands, his thumbs massages them and then he let out a slight gasp.
"Oh my god, yo are those my initials?" He asked, his eyes darting from my boobs and to my eyes.
"Yes." I nodded.
"When the hell did you get those?"
"I got them a few months ago." I admitted.
"How often do you wear them?" His thumb brushed over them in a circle and i sharply exhaled from mh nose.
"A lot." He smirked, boring his rings in between his teeth.
"I'm gonna fuck you so good now." He quickly rolled us over so I was on my back. I let my arms drop over my head as his right hand massaged my boob and his to he licked the other one. His tongue flicking over it.
"Jesse." I moaned as he switched the other nipple, showing it equal attention.
"You're so fucking hot." He growled as he kissed down my ribs, his fingers hooking into my belt loops as he looked up at me. I looked down at him, biting my lips and propping myself up on my elbows.
"What?" He unbuttoned and in zipped my jeans and shrugged,"Jesse?"
"I'm just thinkin." He grinned as he pulled my jeans down my legs leaving me in my black lace thong,"ah shit!"
He fell onto his ass and laughed.
"What the fuck Jess." I laughed.
"This just keeps on getting better and Fuckin better yo!" He got back onto his knees and pulled my legs over his shoulders from the back of my knees. I laughed and threaded my fingers through his hair as he kissed the inside of my thigh.
"I love you." I awed and felt him smile on my skin, planting kisses and he placed his final one right over my lace covered clit. I moaned as his index and middle finger hooked onto my thing and moved it out of way, wasting no time to dip his tongue to my clit and gave it a ohard lick,"fuuuck."
I pushed my hips into his face, and let out a whine.
"Fuckin A." His face left your thighs and his fingers hooked into hem of my thong and pulled it down my legs letting my legs fall but not for long as he quickly put them back and resumed his position,"you taste so good."
I couldn't help but moan as he sucked and licked my clit, altering between the two.
"Oh god Jesse." I grabbed onto his hair and he groaned,"oh shit."
One of Jesses hands that sat on my hip, slid on of my legs off of him, pushing my knee to my chest a bit, his index and middle finger circled around my drooling heat and then he slid the right in. My back arched off the bed and I moaned as i he started to work his fingers fast, already curled and hitting my gspot.
"Oh my goood!" I gasped in the Moan as he gave my clit a hard suck.
"So Fuckin good Baby." He praised, leaving my clit but he kept his fingers moving inside of me, he held onto my thigh as he pushed it closer into me as he came down to my lips and kissed me. His lips and tongue tasted like me and I loved it. I cupped just face his face with my hand and moaned as I felt a familiar hear start building.
"Ahh god Jess." I moaned as he kissed my jaw.
"You gonna cum for me?" He whispered into my ear and I nodded,"you are huh?"
"Yes Jesse fuck." I ground my hips into his hand and he picked up the pace s little, and added a deeper curl, hitting exactly where he needed to,"oh my god!"
He went back down to clit, sucking on it harshly. My hee dug into his back snd my hands balled up the comforter. Loud and erotic moans fell from my lips.
My orgasm hit me like a tsunami, literally. My back arched off the bed as moans and his name and swears spewed from my mouth as he continued fingering and eating me out. I could feel how wet the Inside of my thighs were, and could only imagine how wet his jaw and chin was.
He stopped slowly after, letting my leg drop from his shoulder as I heard him laugh.
"I've missed that." I opened my eyes a bit and saw him smilies at me with that cheeky grin, his red long sleeve was wet around the collar. He wiped his chin and jaw with his sleeve and he took of the peice of clothing off, exposing his nice ass body underneath it. I sat up and undid his belt as he pet my hair, I looked up at him meeting his blue eyes and unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans. He pushed me down as he took his jeans and his boxers off, exposing his hard cock.
"I wanna ride you." I sat up,"please."
"Say less." He chuckled sitting down and I straddled him. His cock restung against my stomach as his Hands sat on my waist. I lifted myself up a bit using my grasp on his shoulder, with my free hand I lined him up. He moaned as I lowered down onto his tip and I rested my forehead on his shoulder.
"Fuckin hell." I moaned as he lowered me down another inch, giving me a few seconds to adjust. White boy was packing.
"Take me so well babe." He hissed as he lowered me down a lot more this time,"so good."
"Forgot how good you felt." I whispered and kissed below his ear as he dropped me all the way down, sheathing him completely. I let out a moaned gasp as he stretched me to fit him.
"Good girl." He rubbed my back,"such a good girl."
He started moving em slowly, I sat up, pushing myself into him as my head rolled back. His cock was hitting everything, I could feel his veins against my velvet walls.
"Damnit." I groaned as he held onto my hips tighter and moved me a bit faster, adding in a hard thrust down,"Jess!"
"Come on, take it, you know you can." He placed a broad lick up the center of my neck and he bounced me harder, pulling me up so only his tip was in me and then all the way down to his balls,"just like that baby."
"Holy fuck." I whimpered out as I took a hit more control, adding a fast speed and a light grind which case him to let out a eye rolling moan.
"Goddamn bitch." He thrusted up into me, causing me to almost see stars,"like that bitch?" He obviously saw how my body reacted to that and loved it cause he did it again,"you do huh?"
"Ye-es!" I moaned he dropped me down in his cock harder a few more times before flipping us over so he was on top.
"Then I'm gonna Fuckin give it to ya." He set the pace, a nice even thrust that ended hard and made my boobs bounce and made me grab onto the comforter and his arm that was propped over my head. My legs were wrapped out his waist. The angle that was was thrusting into me was pure bliss. He was hitting every good spot imaginable.
With the orgasm he gifted me with previously I wasn't gonna last very long, he could tell, my hands we gripping onto him for dear life, I moaning loudly, my back was arched off the bed. He was also getting closer, his hand on my thigh was gripping me tighter, he was moaning and groaning louder and more eroticly.
"Gonna make this-this pussy mine again." He groaned, my nails raked up his back in response.
"Please." I whispered,"Aah fuck! Fu-uck!"
"Cum for me, show me who's you are bitch." He growled into my ear and I did just that.
I held onto him and he dropped to his elbow to hold me closer to him, his hand moved from my thigh and under my back, holding my stomach to him. My eyes were clamped shut, as wave after wage of pure ecstasy shot through me.
He fucked me through my orgasm before cumming deep inside of me, thrusting slow as he did.
"God fuuuck." He groaned, his forehead was resting my chest in between my boobs. My fingers traced up his back and neck and into his hair, carding through it.
"That was amazing." I sighed with a giggle and he chuckled and looked up at me.
"Hell ya it was." He stood up and held onto my thighs as he slowly pulled out of me and collapsed onto the bed next to me.
I looked up at the ceiling and felt his eyes on me so I looked over and saw him smiling at me once again.
"You smile a lot when you're around me." I pointed out.
"Can't help it." He sat up and ran his hand through his hair,"imma go get somethin to clean you up."
"Mm, don’t be long.” I hummed and he walked back to me and placed a kiss on my lips and walked away without saying anything.
The night ended by us sitting in the living room and watching MTV while eating takeout pizza and a 6 pack of old style as he also told me everything my father and him have done so far, like getting the RV, killing two men, my dad smoking pot in his dinning room, the meth lab in his basement, he told me all of it….and I wanted in.
(THIS IS A REPOST BECAUSE THE LAST VERSION GOT MESSED UP, SORRY FOR ANY CREATED EXCITEMENT!!)
~
Now, I know I’ve said this for many things, but I genuinely got carried away with this that when I had the idea for the plot... I kinda forgot that the anon had requested something cute with fluff, so... I hope the ending does it justice.
Either way, thank you for sending this in. I hope you like it!
Removal of the Mask.
Pairing: Gustavo Fring x gn! reader.
Other appearances: Mike Ehrmantraut, though only mentioned.
Request: I had an idea for another Gus fic! I just want him to finally break , mask off and just actually let himself show emotion and be upset with the reader comforting him or something? I just need cute and fluffy stuff with him in my life. Poor dude just needs a shoulder to cry on
Content: angst with comfort and fluff.
Warnings: fighting, gunshot, injuries, descriptions of a hospital.
Be aware of spelling errors and mistakes! I do go read through my fics before posting them, but I always managed to miss some!
A/N: I don’t know if it’s just the way I perceive Gustavo, but I genuinely can’t think of him just... crying. You know, like, maybe with tears in his eyes, but the only way I was able to imagine it was like if something close to a major trauma happened. So, I guess that’s what influenced my idea for this.
Also this fic may be really long, so buckle up, hydrated yourself and grab a snack.
More Gustavo fics.
The sun was high in the sky. Everything beneath felt the presence, including you as beads of sweat trailed down wherever it could on your body.
You were leant against the side of your car, though not very still in the unbearable heat. “Where the hell is this guy?”
The problem with doing these deals, exchanges, or something along those lines was that they had to be done in unknown places. Areas where there weren’t other people around who could possibly witness something they shouldn’t.
That usually meant abandoned properties, or having to travel miles into the vast desert.
And for this particular meet-up.
It was both.
You sniffed, a rising sense of irritation building as you twisted your wrist to lay eyes on the watch strapped to it. Five minutes late. No one in this business risked being five minutes late, especially if it could end up being more.
No one had been told that it was going to be you instead of Gustavo that they were going to be meeting with today either, so in theory, these people were laying back on him. Making him seem like a fool with the need to wait alone in the desert.
But it was you.
And you were not the slightest bit happy.
Just as your arm lowered, hand angrily smacking back to the car door behind you, there was a revving sound that hummed across the landscape. And upon looking up, your eyes found a moving cloud of dust just over one of the minor hills.
“Ballsy.”
You pushed yourself off of your car, adopting a straightened stance the way a bodyguard would.
Despite wanting to present yourself like Gustavo would- arms tight by the sides, chin raised, head basically unmoving unless needing to provide a form of intimidation- when the car had finally rolled into the lot, your arms were just crossed over your chest.
It may have made you like an angry toddler, but there was nothing more unnerving than the ultimate death stare you shot the driver as he exited the vehicle which had finally stilled.
“You’re not Gustavo.”
That was the first thing he said.
After turning up late, and looking like he didn’t even bother to dress himself accordingly... That was it? He even had this narrowed gaze when he began to take a few steps in your direction.
“I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was the traffic that made you late... Am I right?” You hadn’t moved an inch, just simply watched the man as he ultimately decided to settle on keeping a good distance.
His hands lowered to his hips while his eyes flickered to the horizon, his head mildly nodding as if he couldn’t figure out what to say. But it looked more like he didn’t care.
“Okay,” you began, finally letting your arms fall to your sides, “Let’s not waste anymore time then.”
“Do you have them?”
The mans attention snapped back to you after he rocked on his heels for a moment, his stance unchanging much like his gaze, “It was supposed to be Mr. Fring that I met with.” There was a slight southern drawl to his words, a sound that slowly became vicious the more he spoke, “Where is he?”
Your voice stayed the same despite the irritation that began to take back its place, “I believe we’re old enough to carry out an exchange ourselves, don’t you think?”
There was a good few seconds of strong eye contact. One that closely resembled the kind of stand off you would see in old western movies.
But eventually, his head lowered when you held no reaction to his persistence, even stilled it there when he spat out a glob of spit onto the sandy dirt below.
And then he turned, walking back to the car with a flurry of emotions that visibly affected the way his legs moved.
Your expression was stern as you watched him regardless of the fact that he couldn’t see it, a weird feeling now residing in your chest from the previous actions. I mean, it was like a want. An insistence of Gustavo’s whereabouts.
Gustavo was a businessman. He was the owner of something so large that he couldn’t possibly be everywhere at once, or be the one to do things all the time, so it was more common for other people, like you or Victor, even Mike, to be the ones at exchanges. Especially if the outcome wasn’t something that heavily impacted the business.
Hell, you were just trying to collect new versions of equipment that had been busted from too much usage, this whole interaction had been strange from the get-go.
He had been late, wanted to speak to no one other than Gustavo, despite the fact that the needed task was just handing over the machines, so that you could give him the money in return.
Even with the amount of thoughts that were running through your mind, in the next moment, it seemed that by the time your attention had refocused the realisation of a problem came a bit too late.
The man, who you still didn’t know the name of, had arrived at the side of his car. But instead of moving to the back, where you were assuming was the equipment covered by that tarp, he had stilled at the window of the passenger seat.
You couldn’t exactly pull a machine through a window now could you?
Just as you had retrieved your gun from your belt, and was so close to properly gripping it in your hand, a shot rang through the vast area.
It snagged the weapon, narrowly missing your fingers in the process, and you immediately retracted your hand, watching in mild shock as it fell to the sand below.
Damnit. He’s trained.
Unlike what the rest of your body wanted to do in that moment, your legs sprang into action like your life depended on it. Because it in fact did this time.
You swerved, dodged and weaved as bullets began to pang off of walls and the empty shells of cars that were just left, clouds of dust beginning to gather in the air the further you went.
Situations like this weren’t exactly unusual. Contact with other business went sideways more than anyone would really like to admit, hence the need to carry weapons at all times.
The only difference now was that you were the direct target.
You rounded the corner of the closest part of the abandoned building, heart pounding in your chest, your ears, and chorusing with the bullets that continued to fire despite not even being in view anymore.
Your feet skidded to a stop, your eyes frantically searching through the area for some kind of hiding spot or at least something that would give you time to make a plan.
But just as you made a decision, that would’ve at least lead you to your next option if it went sideways, a shot echoed through the surrounding walls.
A sound uncontrollably escaped your throat. Your body jolted, knees eager to bend as you staggered forwards, a sense of determination bubbling in your system more than it ever had.
However, before you could have even prepared, something collided with the middle of your back with full intent.
It sent you tumbling forward. Your knees were the first to connect with the ground below until your hands followed, the sand beginning to roast the pads of your fingers.
But of course, due to the combination of your lack of ability to comprehend the situation, and an increasing pain somewhere in your side, you couldn’t keep yourself stabilised for long.
You fell on your stomach, the exhaustion from the heat finally creeping in the last moment that it needed to.
“Listen,” you croaked out after a cough, still trying to pull yourself towards your chosen hiding spot despite the inability to basically move, “You want-- You want Gustavo, right? Why not… You can’t get to him if you kill-- kill me.”
There was no point in bargaining. You knew that. You knew that this was pre-planned, and that it in fact was meant for Gus.
But they could easily settle on the next best thing if the intent was to impact him.
And you were right.
Each of your legs were grasped in either of his hands within the next second, and before you could grab the sand beneath you, even if your fingers would’ve immediately sunk through, he began pulling you towards him.
In the blink of an eye, your body got flipped over, your spine now slamming into the sand. An indescribable pain seared through your side, and despite the urge to arch your back as if it would get you away from the feeling, your eyes went wide. And you swung, arm aimed at the first body part that was close enough.
His gun fell to the side.
There was a yell of annoyance that bellowed from the man above, and when you tried to move a fist decided to meet with your face in a way that had your ears purely ringing.
It was almost like your brain was forgetting basic functions. You could barely remember how to move your eyes, or even breathe, for a terrifying few seconds.
You had previously thrashed in a way that made the man falter, almost losing his balance. It wasn’t until he was trying to push himself to stand that something managed to form in your head.
Your legs trapped his own despite their weakness and while the man battled with a pair of limbs, cursing in ways that you couldn’t imagine, your hand subtly moved to the side, gliding across the surface of the sand.
Until they met with metal.
The vision through your eyes was blurry from the previous attacks and now from the direction off the sun that beamed right on you. But somehow you still managed to find your aim.
The man twisted back round when he heard that familiar click and his eyes widened as much as they physically could, “No--”
The shot echoed more times that you could count, bouncing off of every possible surface, through the building and on the walls like a game of ping pong.
And then something slumped, falling to the side almost in slow motion until it collided with the ground.
You got him.
All at once the adrenaline rush slowed and the pain in your face, with a sort of burning sensation somewhere else in your upper body, intensified so much that you could barely move.
A shaky whine pushed through your lips as you began to pat around your torso, trying to find the large source of pain.
And then you got to your left side.
It seems that he got you first.
“Shit.” you seethed through gritted teeth and lowered your increasingly weak arm back down to let your hand gain access to a pocket. Your fingers dug through the fabric compartment, grabbed at a device before, unsteadily, pulling it out.
There was no way that you would be able to sit up so you did your best to lift the phone in front of your face, but even when it was flipped open, your vision shook with your heaving chest.
It felt like years had passed by the time you had managed to push a certain order of buttons in, and as soon as it began to ring, you let it drop, your arm smacking into the ground next to your side.
Finally, there was an answer.
The phone hadn’t landed that far away from your head, but it was enough so that when a voice crackled through the speaker, you couldn’t hear it over the sound of your heartbeat and the ragged breaths that rasped from your throat.
You coughed, “Hey, Mike. You, uh… You’re not busy, right?” Your voice was strained despite how hard you were trying to play off your injuries, but when you put pressure on the most important wound to limit the blood loss. It was a little hard to maintain.
“It’s not been a very nice tea party.”
~
The surrounding room would’ve been quiet if it wasn’t for the monotonous beeps from machines that sounded more hypnotic as time went on.
The lighting was dull, barely reflecting off of the walls, with no help from the world outside as by now it had apparently grown dark. Though, due to the ache that consumed almost every part of your head, it made you very grateful.
Your gaze was set on the window on the other side of the room, one used so that doctors could see their patients at any given time if they weren’t able to hear them first.
Gustavo had arrived, stood in the brighter hallway and talking to a doctor you were still getting use to interacting with yourself.
The expression on his face was a mixture of the one he held when interacting with the general public and this intensity that would be difficult for other people to notice upon first glance.
But not you.
After almost every sentence spoken by the doctor, the man had sent a glance your way. A look that could almost make you feel exactly how he did, regardless of the fact that it wasn’t fully readable.
And before there was even an attempt to try, you found yourself breaking the eye contact, sinking the back of your head further into your pillow as it seemed that your mind only now was capturing onto the fact that you were indeed awake.
From what you could hear from the muffled conversation going on outside, and what you had been previous told, the bullet had luckily missed major arteries or organs that would’ve cost everything if hit.
But even so, especially now that it had been removed, that didn’t mean it wasn’t still going to hurt like hell.
You had been issued pain medication at a time that couldn’t be remembered off the bat, but it seemed that it hadn’t met the 30 minute mark yet. Meaning that it wasn’t properly in your system.
By the time your eyes focused back through the window, Gustavo had a smile stiffly pressed onto his lips. The two of them were shaking hands, sharing words that you couldn’t quite catch, and then the doctor turned, resuming the work they were previously doing before he had arrived.
In that moment, the emotion held on Gustavo's face had disappeared by the next time your heavy eyelids had allowed themselves to blink. It was almost like he was in a trance for a good second, his eyes unfocused as they stared off down the hallway.
And then he snapped back.
This time when he faced the room, his attention never went to you. He simply opened the door, walked through and then closed it behind himself. A movement that engulfed the surrounding area in a quietness that even the machines couldn’t help.
He stood closer to the back wall than the edge of your bed. His body was still, stance almost like a soldier, as his gaze remained aimed at whatever was in front of him. You really wished you could read minds.
“Have the doctors updated you on your condition?”
Despite the small room, there was a lack of fullness to his voice. Like it was from somewhere in the distance even though he was right there.
“Yeah,” The grogginess from waking up not that long ago was still fresh in your system even with the activeness of your mind, so when you attempted to shuffle yourself to get a better view of Gustavo you had barely even moved. “Though I could’ve make an educated guess anyway.”
His response was a mere hum, still remaining in the same position as before. It was a thing that made your eyebrows twitch, unsure if he had even meant to make that sound in the first place.
“I would’ve had you put in a more private place, but... I was was told there wasn’t enough time.” That was when he moved for the first time since entering the room. His head lowered, eyes now cast down to his shoes like they were the most interesting thing in the room. “I know you don’t like hospitals.”
Your gaze moved upwards as you turned your head towards the ceiling, a huff of air passing through your lips, “Well, I already had the surgery... Just need to be patient now.”
“I wish there were better channels on these TVs though,” you then added, attempting to break the tension surrounding every corner in the room, but when you moved your head again, you found Gustavo starting to walk.
His steps were almost silent despite what his shoes were made of. He moved slow, precise even if his attention wasn’t on the floor anymore.
And soon Gustavo had arrived at the window that looked out onto the world below. You had no idea what floor you were on but it was most likely about halfway as the sound of cars could still be heard, though a bit muffled.
Somehow the more time he spent facing away from you, the more a nervousness began to ignite within your chest.
The way he was acting was something you had only seen when he was disappointed. Upset about how a situation had gone enough so that he needed time to compose himself before speaking.
So, even if most of your body couldn’t be bothered to move, you found a way to fidget.
You stared at the wall on the other side of your bed. A multitude of fresh thoughts and worries swarming your mind in a way that was almost suffocating, until they couldn’t be contained anymore.
You cleared your throat, finally finding your voice despite the utter dread of doing so. “I’m sorry.”
The sound of the heart monitor could literally be heard speeding up as your words fully settled through the air.
“Pardon?”
Your eyes may have still been aimed at the wall, but from the corner, you could see Gustavo twist away from the window. An action that didn’t at all help your nerves.
The next time you took a breath, you had almost gulped, “I realised what had been planned too late.”
“If that had happened anywhere else, I could’ve ruined the business... Lost progress.”
It was only when a new worry, the realisation of another action that had the possibility of many consequences, that you found the ability to actually look at Gustavo, “You got the machines, right?”
His brows were furrowed enough that the skin surrounding them was intensely crinkled, his eyes narrowed in a disbelief that you had never seen him display.
“You have nothing to be sorry for, Y/n.” was all he managed for a moment, his voice going back to that lack of fullness that in turn had your eyebrows furrowing. “Did they tell you what happened? Everything?”
“You were injured during a job I set for you.” His eyes were wider now, the once clouded look within them forming into a sense of clarity though the disbelief still remained.
“And I could’ve ruined everything.” The emotions each of you felt were clashing, the brain working in the wonderous ways it always did as you both had very different viewpoints of the situation. The hard part was getting the other to understand why.
“There is a lot more important things than machines, Y/n.” Gustavo pointed out and took a few steps forward so that he was further from the window.
There was a sense of annoyance now travelling through your tired system, the irritation built up over the entire day officially starting to spark, “Which is exactly why I am trying to apologise.”
“For what? Not knowing that you were going be attacked?”
You shook your head, breaking the intense eye contact as your gaze went back to the ceiling.
Arguing was the last thing that you wanted to do right now. You were tired, weak, hungry, and now had an anger that was eager to erupt.
Two people at fault but both only thinking that one is.
After a few moments of being absorbed by those monotonous beeps again, a deep sigh could be heard. Even though you couldn’t see him anymore, it was clear that he had finally allowed his shoulders to lower. Deflate. “You got hurt.”
“Well, I think I know that, Gus.” you blurted out as your mouth seemed to be faster than your brain. Something that you immediately regretted. “Look...” You raised your head again, your hands subconsciously gliding to where your bandages grasped to your skin, “What happened... Happened.”
“It’s over... Okay-- It doesn’t matter anymore.”
It was a sentence meant to ease the situation. Words formed in a eagerness to get this whole thing over and done with, because you were quite frankly over it yourself, wanting nothing more than to fall into an incredibly deep sleep.
But all it did was make the lines of Gustavo’s face more prominent. The look across it formed into an expression that almost mimicked offense. “Doesn’t... Doesn’t matter-- Listen to yourself.”
“Why aren’t you taking this situation more seriously?”
“Well, did you get what you were after?” you questioned, trying to find at least some form of middle ground that you could then use to clear this whole thing up.
Gustavo scoffed, “I can’t believe you.” He turned himself around again, adopting the same stance from before as he stared through the window.
Your eyebrows were furrowed as much as they possibly could at this point, “Why? This isn’t the first time that something like this has happened, Gus-- Hell, it will happen again.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“It can’t.”
“What do you-- What do you mean it can’t, Gustavo?” you huffed out, the sound almost becoming gargled as you began to push yourself to sit up. But you were determined to ignore the pain pulsing in your side. A deep breath shook through your lips when you got upright.
You carefully began to shuffle yourself backwards, trying to lean more comfortably against the bed, and only made an attempt to speak when you had fully decided your positioning, “The more we progress, the more likely stuff like this is going to take place. You of all people should know that--”
“You almost died!”
It felt like time had stopped for a good minute.
The sound had rung longer than the sentence itself, but you couldn’t tell if it was just the way your mind attempted to process it, or if it was really that loud.
Gustavo had faced you once again, only this time there was this active rage that covered almost every visible inch of him in a way that heavily contrasted the usual stoicism.
It was barely seen, but it looked like his shoulders lowered and raised with every breath. Like he was heaving. Heaving with disbelief, anger... and fear?
“You almost... You.” he had attempted to repeat, but there was this lack of control. An inability to get himself together like he always managed to do any other day.
He took in a deep breath, one that shook more than yours had, and practically forced himself to stand straight, “That attack was meant for me.”
“Because I got... interrupted, I wasn’t there... and then you became the target.” He was trying to gather himself. Trying to make himself look how he usually did by straightening his spine, raising his chin and adopting an expression devoid of any emotion.
But despite trying to adjust the mask.
It was starting to crack.
“Gustavo.”
“I should have gone.” His voice was barely above a whisper now.
To the naked eye he was ridged, but there was this shakiness that could be seen the longer your eyes stayed on him, “I should be the one in that bed... not you.”
“You could’ve...”
One half of his nose slightly crinkled after a moment, in turn raising the left side of his top lip, and he visibly swallowed like the words he was going to speak had a horrid taste.
And then you spotted it.
It was difficult to properly see Gustavo’s eyes through the glasses as light sources reflected onto the lenses almost everywhere he looked, and at first you thought it was in fact just some reflected light.
But it would disappear when he blinked.
“Gustavo.” you spoke after a moment, practically forgetting what you sounded like at this point, and it seemed to snap the man out of his thoughts. “Close the blinds.”
At first he just furrowed his eyebrows. His dazed eyes finally moved from where they had zoned in to meet your own with a sudden confusion. And then they followed the finger pointed towards the window for the doctors.
The abrupt change in atmosphere had him just standing there for a moment, but then due to the crowdedness of his mind, it seemed that it just went on autopilot. He walked through the room, same pace and quietness as before, until he arrived at yet another window.
He cleared his throat, picked the left blind cord to take between two of his fingers and then pulled at it, taking one final look at the hallways outside before they were officially closed.
Now, the lighting of the room was increasingly lowered. You still had a slight source from the sky, but time had done what it did best. It barely brought anything to help maintain the light.
But that was the least of your concerns.
The moment those blinds had reached the ledge of the window, Gustavo's hands pressed onto either side of the surface, and he leant his weight into it in a way that seemed to take it off of his shoulders as they visibly slacked.
It was a movement that had you just staring for a good few seconds.
This was not the Gustavo that you knew. This man before you was not in control of his expressions, the way that he spoke, the way he stood. This was not a man who rose above and administered fear into anyone even if that wasn’t his intent.
This was just a man.
Just Gus.
You, very stiffly, began to try and shuffle yourself sideway across the bed. You didn’t care about the pain that pulsed through your torso, or how it felt like your arms were going to either bend or snap. You kept moving, and only stopped when it was clear to do so.
Pins and needles began to spread through your hand as you patted it down in the space you had created, turning your head more in his direction as you expected him to respond.
But he didn’t.
You stifled a sigh, “Come here, Gustavo.”
He needed a proper command. A verbal set of words that allowed him to comply to the urge you placed in his head. So, after trying to swallow the feelings that were appearing once again, he turned around.
Though this time when he fully faced you, instead of pausing like he needed to convince himself to actually walk, he moved the second his eyes lay on you.
His pace was slow like before, each step getting heavier than the previous one.
He understood.
He understood why you had been acting the way you did, wanted nothing more than to change the subject, and now why you had asked him to close the blinds.
It was to stop the outside from seeing in. Not let any other person bear witness to a moment just for the two of you.
Gustavo lowered himself to sit on the bed, his eyes not daring to leave your own in a way that properly allowed you to see behind the lenses of those glasses.
There was a line of water just peaking over the lower lid. His blinks may have subsided most of it, but it would always come back with the same amount. Sometimes even more.
“I shouldn’t have let you do the job alone.” Gustavo insisted, but it had you shake your head within seconds. “Hey,”
You took one of his hands between yours, trying to shift just a tad bit closer to him even if it hurt, “Gustavo, you need to understand that even if there was another person there, the same thing would’ve happened-- Another person would’ve been hurt instead of just me.”
“Someone would still get shot.”
That was when the eye contact had been broken.
He knew you were right. He knew that even if he had found out what had happened sooner, he wouldn’t have gotten there fast enough to do anything about it.
But there was a vast difference between understanding something and accepting it.
The expression on his face was so unusual to see, more so because it genuinely conveyed his feelings. You could see it in his eyes, the way his lips were starting to press together. Utter guilt despite the continuous insistence that it wasn’t his fault.
The action of removing your hands from his had him out of his thoughts again, though it wasn’t until he blinked that he felt where they had gone.
Each of your palms were placed on either side of his face, the centre firm against his set jaw.
The thumbs of your hands resided above the rest of your fingers, lightly gliding across the textured skin of Gustavo’s cheeks in a way that had him instinctively closing his eyes.
The weight of his head in your hold grew and it looked as if the tension in his muscled finally let him relax, even if it was just for a moment. You wanted him to stay like that forever.
“I’m glad you weren’t there, Gustavo.”
And just like that, the sentence had practically undone the moment of peace. But even when he went to lean back, he made sure that it was a distance that would keep your hands on his face.
The edges of his eyebrows were crinkled again, a mixture of concern and confusion purely visible, “How?”
The way he asked had a smile begging to curl at your lips. Though, due to the muscles of your face being too tired at this point and the fact that this definitely wasn’t the time to do so, you ignored it. “If it was you that got attacked instead of me, they wouldn’t have stopped until there was nothing left.”
Your grasp on his face became a tad more firm. Your eyes began to travel, thinking about the fact that you had never seen him so close for this amount of time before. “A shot in the side means nothing to me.”
“Y/n, how can you possibly say that?” The concern spread further than it had done before, now beginning to form into that same disbelief like it had earlier.
You slightly lowered your chin after a minute, making sure that your eyeline was directly connected to his. And then you just shrugged, a wave of emotions flooding your system at a sudden sense of safety that you had yearned to feel all day, “Because,”
“I would rather die, knowing that you were somewhere safe... alive. Than breathe in a world where you aren’t doing the same.”
It felt like it was going to be another one of those moments. The two of you just going to stare into each others eyes, equally lost. No words available that could even scratch the surface of what either of you felt.
Though it seemed that Gustavo’s ability to maintain a calm exterior faltered. He began to crumble.
His his eyebrows pinched together suddenly, his bottom lip slowly pushing upwards until it shook, and then he lowered his head out of your grasp, a wavering breath huffing out of his mouth.
He tried to speak. Tried to express something that ultimately would be left unknown as he just gave up. Understanding that it wouldn’t be able to come out the way that he wanted it to.
So, he just... sort of slumped. His head dipped a little more, his hand reaching up to grab the glasses that were close to falling.
He was overtaken. Emotions active more than he had let it in so long. Gustavo tried to wipe them away, tried to rid his eyes of the water that practically felt like a river pushing to flood.
But the dam had already been broken.
He just sat there, hands now pressed to face in an attempt to block the tears from going anywhere, even if they had already began to trail between his fingers.
You took the glasses that were almost crumpled in his grasp before folding the legs, and then slowly placed them on the bedside table while trying to ignore the pain that pulsed in your side from the stretch.
You subtly gritted your teeth, willing to forget about any feeling that was trying to present itself as you wanted to focus on Gustavo. You needed to.
So, you reached out, waiting for your hand to cup the back of his head before slowly beginning to guide it forward in a way that ultimately made the rest of his body follow.
And soon, he was laid across your chest, careful to avoid your injury.
The side of his head had managed to make his ear press right over where your heart was. Something that seemed to trigger Gustavo the moment he registered both the feeling and the sound.
Because, for the first time since he had entered the room or laid eyes on you through the window that had now been closed. He had actual confirmation that wasn’t just words from a doctor.
You were not some sick hallucination that was playing his mind, or a lie that he was trying to convince himself of in an attempt to avoid a painful truth and make him feel better. No. You were real.
You were alive.
The next breath that Gustavo took was cut quite abruptly like another had just pushed itself out. It was a sound that caught you off guard, one that you didn’t initially know how to respond to as you thought you were just hearing things.
But then it happened again... and then again. A sound that almost made it seem like he had forgotten how to breathe.
And then you heard what it was trying to cover, something else breaking through the harsh huffs of air.
He was crying.
Properly crying.
Gustavo removed one of the hands from his face and reached it under your arm so that he could grab the back of your shoulder, his fingers grasping onto the fabric the moment they made contact.
It had your arms wrapping around his body within seconds, especially when it had begun to rack with almost guttural like sounds.
His head was fully pressed into your chest now, each of his hands holding onto an arm or a shoulder tightly with such desperation as if you were going to disappear if he let go.
So, you didn’t dare move. You just held him there, unable to escape another pain as you had to simply lay in that bed, holding something that was releasing such raw cries.
Gustavo couldn’t even recognise the sounds himself. The way his body responded, the tears falling freely from his eyes, the harshness that the sobs were rushing out of his lungs. It was unfamiliar. A foreign feeling that swirled through everything else.
Truthfully, he could remember the last time he cried in such a way. He could remember when his feelings were shoved out of him regardless of his wants.
But he couldn’t think of any time when he had allowed himself to do it on his own.
Until now.
~~~
The next few days were filled with pretty much the same routine.
Your injuries would get checked, treated again if the doctors saw fit, and you had to do everything in your power to keep yourself entertained as the channels still weren’t giving you much.
And then, when it would get dark, Gustavo appeared.
He would bring this homemade soup almost every night that had your stomach growling before he had even arrived. It was also a decent sized cup, meaning that if you didn’t finish it, the hospital could store it and reheat it for lunch the next day.
Maybe after a while, others would think that having soup for more than a week would get old at some point... But no. In fact there was different ingredients used in every batch. The change could be miniscule but it was still effective.
The rest of the routine got old fast though. The days started merging, and it soon made you become unsure of when the next started or ended, as it seemed like you had forgotten how to sleep at normal times due to your exhausted system.
But then the time finally came.
The discharge from hospital.
Obviously there was still a whole lot of resting, healing and overall taking everything slow coming your way, which was a hundred percent going to prove to be a challenge. However, with the way that Gustavo appeared right by your side, even if it was just a facial expression that proved you were having difficulty, it gave you enough assurance. Comfort.
There was no word to accurately express your feelings the moment the car had pulled to a stop in the driveway. Your driveway.
What you saw out the window wasn’t a picture you had tried to think up multiple times in your head. It was just right in front of you. A house that seemed larger than you had remembered.
It almost startled you when the car door suddenly got pulled open, but after a blink you registered his figure, spotted the hands that were out and ready to aid you.
The process of shimmying your way off of the car seat was a bit of a hassle, however, your legs eventually hung out of the car, feet finally meeting with solid ground once again.
Soon, you had actually arrived inside the house.
Gustavo was to your right, stood carefully, in a way that would completely cross out any possibility of further injuring the other side of your body, as he guided you through those familiar halls which almost gave you a feeling of nostalgia. Even if it wasn’t that long ago that you walked within them.
A new wave of tiredness hit you after about a step into the living room you had yearned to see.
Everything looked the same, furniture and even the objects of décor still placed so intricately as if the room hadn’t been lived in or touched.
It smelled the same too.
“Were you cooking this morning?” you questioned, voice a bit more groggy than before, as a sort of smoky scent presented itself to your nostrils. Gustavo hummed, carefully pulling at your shoulder to direct you around the rectangular coffee table.
“You know I can walk by myself, right?” you pointed out, trying to turn your head to get a look at his face but he had moved behind you when the two of you got between the edge of the table and an armchair at the same time.
“Of course.” was all Gustavo said, still holding onto you regardless. And finally, you had reached the couch of your dreams.
Even though you had been laying around all day every day for weeks on end, the relief that filled your system over not having to walk anymore almost had your knees buckling.
“Okay,” Gustavo spoke just above a whisper, lightly turning you so that you faced the TV, “Slowly.”
A deep breath sifted in and out of your lungs. Your grip on his arm tightened and after looking in his eyes for a good few seconds, you began to lower yourself in the speed he insisted on. “There you go.”
“You’re doing just fine.”
Your nose was scrunched, along with your eyes, the further you bent as the movement slightly began to fold more and more of your body. You lost count of how many times you tried to stifle a hiss from the sharp pains that kept coming.
But even when officially sat down on the soft couch, the discomfort unfortunately remained.
You slowly leaned backwards, allowing your injured side to stretch out in a way that was fully comfortable, until your back pressed into the pillows. There was a sigh of relief that huffed out of your mouth all at once and it had the tiniest smile curling at Gustavo’s lips.
“Better?” he questioned and despite your urge to close your eyes, you just looked at him. “Better. Thank you,” you confirmed, reaching out to grab one of his hands.
But before your own could meet his, it had suddenly lowered with the rest of his body. Your eyebrows furrowed as you watched him get onto his knees, even pushing the coffee table away so that he had more space.
And then his hands landed on your shoes, “Oh, Gustavo, you don’t--”
“Relax.”
He lifted one foot at a time, placing the bottom of your shoe on his thigh so that he could properly attack the laces. And soon, both pairs were off of your feet, now held in a singular hand.
“You didn’t have to do that.” Your voice was more hushed this time, timid, as you looked down at the man who now was just looking right back at you. And then he smiled. Such a simple, but full, smile that fit his face perfectly.
Gustavo then pressed his free hand onto the floor, moved himself back a little, and then let out a slight grunt as pushed himself up to his feet.
When he had done so you had thought he was just go, leave to bring the shoes to the area you usually kept them, so you had started to shuffle your self further into the couch.
But the next thing you knew, one of your hands was brough in a gentle grasp. The step that Gustavo had taken was to get closer to the couch, and you.
He sort of hunched forward after a moment, bringing your intertwined hands his way. And then, when it was at a perfect distance, he turned them until the back of your palm faced him.
He brought his lips to your warm skin, the soft but mildly jagged skin pressing down for a good few seconds as the breath through his nostrils slightly tickled you. And then he lifted his head a little.
Gustavo met your eyes with such a wide smile that it had almost bared his teeth.
“I did.”
And after a quick squeeze to your hand, that was that. He let go.
Gustavo adjusted the grip he had on the shoes in his other hand and simply turned, retracing his steps around the coffee table before disappearing into the hallway.
Your hand was still hung in the air. Stuck same position it had been when with Gustavo’s... and then you left it fall to your chest, landing right on top of your heart that was beating so fast that you could immediately feel it.
The smile on your face was one that felt impossibly to get off.
There was a long journey still to go, and a lot of pain to follow, but there was almost no worry when you thought about it. Because, like you had convinced to convince Gustavo of earlier, you made it.
You made it back home.
