#Midwater Signalfish

I've always been a Cirrhilabrus & Paracheilinus stan. Also while I was working at a pet wholesale warehouse, I worked with some really cool species and got fascinated with signalfish!

(I tried to keep a pair of midwater signalfish in my nano tank, but my bastard clingfish Poliwag ate them both like. Immediately rip)

Honorable mention to flashing tilefish for being cool as hell. I have a video of one somewhere but tumblr isn't letting me upload it

You know what? I am going to need everybody to show me their favourite fish, be it a species or an individual.

Or if you, like me, cannot simply pick a single favourite, show me one you’ve been interested in lately.

For example, I’ve recently been enamoured with seamoths such as the Little Dragonfish (Eurypegasus draconis):

They’re in the same order as pipefish and seahorses (syngnathiformes) and I just think they’re neat.

I bought a male-female pair of rarely imported midwater signalfish and the male is getting his bearings now but the female didn't really get the chance because fucking Poliwag ATE HER. Like within two minutes. I saw a fin sticking out of her mouth and burst into tears of shock, what the fuck I can't believe this The male is over double the size of the female so he'll be fine but either he's going to deal with being single or I'm going to banish Poliwag to Aurin's tank (she's much too big for him to eat) Brb I'm going to go eat my feelings
