Would Levi let these people babysit your kid?
Erwin: He would but only for a few hours, he trusts Erwin with a lot of things but his kid? Not so much. Erwin never held a baby, he wouldn't be able to handle a toddler and Levi is afraid thay Erwin would forget about your kids since he is busy with work.
Hange: He trusts them too just not with his kid, even if his kid has fun anytime they babysit them, he has to explain to them that they can't experiment anywhere near his kid.
Nanaba: Yes and surprisingly she is good with kids. Although it takes her a bit to get comfortable around the kid, she manages. You have to ask her twice, it is kind of hard to convince her.
Miche: So so, unlike Nanaba, Miche isn't good with kids, he would be like a silent guardian watching over the kid like a hwak.
Moblit: Out of everyone, Levi would definitely let Moblit babysit. He knows how caring Moblit can be, he still warns him not to drink around your child tho.
His squad: Yes, they don't let him down in anything so he has no problem leaving them to look after his child. Petra is especially sweet with the kid.
Eren: Actually he would but would check up every 15 minutes to make sure that Eren's dumb ass isn't messing up.
Mikasa: He would, she would care and be careful with his kid more than anyone in that squad. She is also has a soft spot for the kid despite denying so.
Connie, Jean: You have to beg him for this if there is no other option. Levi explains to them 300 times what they can and can't do. Connie is also good with kids, he has siblings too so he can handle the little Ackerman, most of the time at least.
Sasha: Yes, she knows how to handle kids because she has younger siblings and is funny so your kid would have fun. Levi isn't surprised that the lunch box from his kid is empty for once.
Historia: He would, she is sweet and besides, she can use it as training when she has her own.
Ymir: Nope. She said "Fuck them kids" and Levi doesn't even try asking.
Kenny: Absolutely not. Do I even need to explain why not?

“Took you long enough.” Erwin teases as you hop into the passenger seat, He texted you fifteen minutes ago letting you know he was out front waiting for you.
“Don't be dramatic, it was only ten minutes.” you huff, pulling the seat belt over your chest and clicking it into place. Erwin gave you a once over, his gaze halting before turning back and shifting the car into drive.
“You did your hair for this?” he comments, raising an eyebrow. Doing your hair was a generous observation on his part, you just spent extra time on it for tonight.
“Yeah, and what's that look for? We haven't been able to get together like this in so long, so I wanted to look a little nice.” It's been three weeks since the five of you could all hang out together. Miche got a new job and Hange had a change in shifts, making it nearly impossible to do something collectively. It just so happens that everyone has the day off tomorrow, so Hange suggested getting together to drink and catch up.
“It's just us, you never cared like that before. Besides, if this is like any other time your hair’s gonna look like shit by the end of the night anyways. Like that time Miche set your hair on fire lighting that cig for you.” He laughs. You cringe and brush your fingers through your hair in the same area that was singed short, only just recently were you able to make it look like it blends in with the rest of your hair. “Or, that time Hange-” Erwin starts but you quickly interrupt.
“Okay! I get it, I'm accident prone.” you mumble, giving him a playful glare. “Both of those are better than the time me and Levi had to drag you out to the car which, by the way, wasn't fun.” you smirk, watching his dumbfounded expression illuminate under each street light you pass under
“Like that compares at all, it was one time, and my birthday” Erwin retorts and gives you a gentle nudge. You shrug in response, looking out the window to see you're already turning down the street that leads to the house that Levi, Hange, and Miche share. “We’re late again, you know how much shit we’re going to get?”
 ***
“Finally!” Hange raves when you walk in with Erwin. You make your way in and take your bottle of contribution to the cooler that was already set up in the living room, stuffing it in and shutting the lid. Almost instantly after, you were met with a fierce hug from Hange. “Late, as always. What was the hold up? Anything interesting?” They beamed, their eyes gesturing hopefully towards Ewrin. You parted from Hange’s hug, shaking your head at their silent accusation. This wasn’t new for the two of you. For as long as you could remember, you both have been teased about your friendship. Everyone constantly begged for you two to finally get together. Erwin is your best friend, and has been for years. The thought has never crossed your mind. The only person who understands that is Levi, he's the only one who never pokes and prods for something more.
“Thought I heard the lovebirds were finally here.” Miche announced as he emerged from his bedroom. He makes his way into the living room and grabs two beers out of the cooler and tosses one to Erwin as he walks past him. “Catch up” Miche enthusiastically demands, cracking the tab on his can and raising it up to Erwin in a faux cheers.
“You guys really started without us?” Erwin groans followed by the sharp hiss and snap of his own can.
“What, were we supposed to wait for the two of you to stop sucking face in the car?” Miche laughs and gestures to you and Erwin both. Erwin rolls his eyes but just as he was about to respond the whole room collectively flinched at the sudden piercing interruption of music that gradually dimmed down to an appropriate volume. All eyes fall on Levi who’s standing in front of the speaker with his phone in his hand.
“Cleaning playlist, forgot to turn it down earlier.” He explains candidly and takes a swig from the cup in his opposite hand, seemingly unapologetic for the disturbance.
“Jesus, Levi. When did you get out here?” Miche groans, rubbing his ear melodramatically. Levi ignores him, instead he turns to face the group. “Didn't realize this party was about celebrating Erwin sucking face. I would have stayed in my room had I known.”
“No one’s staying in their room!” Hange chimes as they make their way to Levi “it’s been three weeks, we should do something fun!” they place their hands on Levi’s shoulders and grin “like a drinking game.” they suggest, approval spreads across the room.
“Pass.” Levi scoffed, rolling his eyes like he was above the activity. “Looks like you're outvoted.” Hange sings, squeezing Levi’s shoulders and quickly moving to drag the coffee table away from the couch for everyone to sit around. Miche was already on his way in with the bottle and a shot glass.
“Fine. I’ll play but I'm not sharing that shot glass with any of you, I’ll get my own.” he sighs, heading straight for the kitchen. Hange cheers and grabs chasers out of the cooler, lining them around the circular table as everyone settles into their chosen spots. Levi returned shortly after with his own shot glass, you notice a clean rag hanging out of his pocket as he sits in the space left open for him. Miche chooses the game for the group, the rules are simple and easy to follow. It doesn't take long, just a few rounds in and everyone around the table seems to have a pink flush across their cheeks, slurring their words, and laughs at anything anyone says.
***
“Damn!” Hange rasps out with a cough, slamming the shot glass back down onto the table. At this point in the game Hange was doing horribly, the last 3 rounds of the game they were the one to take the losing shot. They pick up the bottle and shakily attempt to fill the glass up for the next victim. Liquid splashes around the glass as they miss a couple times.
“Okay,” Erwin says and takes the bottle from them “I’ll fill them from now on.” He adds. “it’d be nice if someone else could start taking the shots!” Hange complained, folding their arms over their chest.
“That’s entirely on you, Hange.” Erwin pointed out as he finished pouring for them. His hand was stable despite being just as drunk as anyone else at the table, he was always the one who handled the liquor best.
“Stop losing and you won’t have to take any more.” You laugh and watch Levi lean forward, pick up the glass, and quickly wipe underneath with the rag he’d brought to the circle. Even tipsy he was concerned about keeping things at least a little clean.
The next round, Hange takes the losing shot again. “of course!” They spout, taking the bottle from Erwin’s side, forgetting that he was in charge of filling the glass after each shot. Before he could register that Hange had taken the bottle, they were attempting to fill the glass again. With shaky hands Hange tips the bottle too far, causing the rim of the bottle to clash with the shot glass, tipping it over. The jolt alone was enough to cause them to drop the bottle as well. You watch as it rolls off the table, its contents spilling out.
“Come on, Hange.” Levi groans as he lunges forward. He fails to catch the bottle, forced to watch it spill out and seep into the rug. “Games over.” He announces, immediately going back in with the rag. Levi sets the bottle back upright on the table and Miche gathers up the remnants of their game, wiping the liquor off the cards as he organizes everything back into the box.
You thread your fingers between Hange’s after they stand up. “Kitchen, Hange.” You sang, guiding them out of the living room. Despite their protests, you decided you both need a water break. You let go of Hange’s hand, and they lean against the counter to the right of the fridge. You grab two glasses from the overhead cabinets and pull the ice tray out of the freezer. “Sooo,” Hange coos as you as you cracked the tray, haphazardly dropping ice into both cups.
“Yesss,” you mimic back in the same tone, opening the fridge.
Hange pushes off the counter and leans over the open door “Erwin looks cute tonight, huh?” They try, grinning.
“Not this again,” you laugh at them and set the first filled cup on the counter behind you.
“Give me a break!” Hange groans, dropping their head onto their forearms. “You always avoid talking about it, when will you guys give up the act?” You look towards them and your attention is immediately drawn to Levi, who is discarding an arms worth of cans onto the counter. He kneels down in front of the sink and starts digging through the cabinets underneath.
“It’s not like that, and it never has been.”
“bullshit, there’s got to be a reason you haven’t just gone for it yet. We can all see how it is between you two” they pried for more.
“And you’re all wrong” you say as you set the second cup down next to the first.
“Then what is it? You still have that thing for Levi?” They joke. Your eyes immediately flicker back to Levi, he’s frozen, still knelt down at the sink. You swear you can feel all the color drain from your face. Hange has already started mumbling about a new topic you couldn’t focus on.
“Hey, four eyes.” Levi stands up from his position, peeling out the trash bag he was digging for. “Keep me out of your fantasies and come help me with your mess” he says, his tone was flat, as usual. He turns away without looking at either of you and walks out of the kitchen.
“Shit, he heard that?” Hange asks, looking back at you. It's obvious by their face how embarrassed you must look because Hange immediately starts assuring you that it’s fine.
You walk back out to the living room with Hange, still fighting off the embarrassment from the kitchen. You watch as Hange picks up the various chasers that were still left over from the game. When you turn your attention to Levi your face burns, you wonder if that made everything weird now. “You good? You look like you could use one of these.” Erwin interrupts your thoughts, handing you a new can. You accept and pop the tab.
“You have no idea.” You confirm, taking a drink.
“What a mess.” He comments and shakes his head, watching as Hange and Levi clean. Just as you open your mouth to reply, Miche caught your attention as he made his way across the living room, careful to walk around the chaos that Hange and Levi were cleaning. When he catches your gaze he raises a hand up, flashing a lighter and gestures towards the back door with a nod "smoke break?"
"Count me in!" Hange yells, quickly standing and discarding the handful of cups on a nearby side table and making their way out, followed by Erwin. You tip your can back, finish the beer, and make your way to the back door. you lazily slide your shoes on not even bothering to pull the backs up over your heels, you glance behind you to see Levi gathering up the empty cups and beer cans and throwing a couple unopened cans into the cooler placed in the living room. You think for a moment about staying inside and doing damage control with him, maybe you could convince him that Hange was just being dramatic, or using it as a means to prove that they’re right about Erwin. "Come on! What're you doing?" Hange interrupts, pulling you away from the door and sliding it shut, dragging you over to the group.
"Hange, you really couldn't have said that a worse time." You groan and squeeze your eyes shut, willing another wave of embarrassment away. At this point, you didn’t care about bringing it up in front of Erwin and Miche. You figure Hange would tell them on their own anyway.
"Said what?" Miche mumbled around the cigarette hanging off his lips, passing the lighter to Erwin.
"Well.." Hange drawled, a shit eating grin on their face "I may have spilled the beans on her little crush on Levi.. right in front of him." Now both Erwin and Miche were looking right at you, a few moments of silence pass before Erwin raises a brow and glances between you and Hange
"Crush?" His tone was so flat it didn't even sound like a question.
"Levi?" Miche interjected quickly, waiting for you to say you were joking. When the silence began to linger Miche let out a quick snort "like, Levi?" He asked again, his hand gesturing towards the house. "No shit, way to pull the rug from under our feet." He shakes his head in disbelief and nudges Hange with his elbow "you knew and still said your piece about Erwin this whole time? Evil." he laughed
"Hey, I was told in confidence that she thought Levi was hot one time!" Hange spills out. It was true, months ago you hung out with Hange alone. The two of you decided to have a night in with movies and wine since no one else could join. After a couple glasses you let it slip that you had a small crush on Levi, making sure to paint it as fleeting so the two of you didn't get the same treatment as you and Erwin. "Hey," Hange places a hand on your shoulder "are you alright?"
“I’m just worried about it, I never would have told him that. You saw him in the kitchen, everything is probably going to be so awkward now.”
"Oh stop, it's Levi!" Hange encourages and pulls you in close by your other shoulder "he doesn't care, he probably won't even mention it" they try to reason with you, but it falls on deaf ears. you were so full of doubt. How could things be normal after this? Were you just supposed to continue on while pretending it didn't happen? That's exactly what you plan to do because there was no chance you could bring it up to his face.
"I'll be back" you mumble at Hange as you spin on your heels and make your way inside through the back door and decide the bathroom would be a more private place to pull yourself together.
***
You admire the photos that hang unsystematically in the hallway, tracing waves on the wall with your finger as you glide through, the music slowly starts to fade the closer you get to your destination and completely muffles as you close the bathroom door.
"uh, hi?"
You snap your attention towards the voice, meeting a sharp but forgiving gaze. "Levi, I didn't realize you-." you start, feeling the heat in your cheeks as you stammer for the words to apologize. Levi's stare is unmoving for a moment. He looks down, swiping the cloth off the hook to dry his hands. His eyes dart back to your face. "Your shoelaces are untied."
What..?
You take a moment to register what he just said, double checking that you heard him correctly and glancing down to see the strings loosely hanging off each side of your shoes. "That's how I like them..." When his expression doesn’t change you curse yourself for sounding so dumb.
"And you're walking through my house with shoes on." he states and you can feel your face burning even more. Duh, Why wouldn't you have remembered to take them off as you came in. Just as you part your lips to muster up what would probably sound like another pathetic attempt at an apology, you notice the small smirk pulling at Levi's lips "Save it. Hange's party, Hange’s mess to clean" He assured you.
You hum in response and started to turn back towards the door to leave "Was that true?" He asked, you can hear a subtle eagerness in the question "What Hange said, I mean" he corrects his tone this time. You’re completely still while a wave of embarrassment washes back over your whole body trying to think of something to say, but you're stuck speechless. Muffled music and Hange’s voice chanting at Erwin to chug from outside quickly fill in the silence. You take a deep breath, realizing that now is your chance to give context.
“Yeah, but that was so long ago,” you stammer your words and finally turn to face him, he’s closer now.
“Yeah? How long?” He’s smirking now, arms crossed over his chest, like this is amusing to him.
“Months.” Was all you could say in response.
“So what happened? You let eyebrows take my spot?” He teases.
“You’re starting to sound an awful lot like Hange, It was never like that anyway,” you scoff, not realizing his implication of having a spot. In your attempt to explain yourself you hadn't noticed Levi closing the space between you.
“You done?” He interrupts, glancing down at your lips then back up. Your eyes meet his and you nod, not trusting yourself to speak. Levi leans in, his fingers brush against your jaw as he reaches out resting his hand at the nape of your neck. He pulls you in gently and pauses briefly before your lips meet. You hear his breath shake before he closes the small space between the two of you. Warmth spreads across your whole body and the intoxication rushes back in. You drape your arms over his shoulders and relax into it, tilting your head to follow his lead. Levi rests his other hand on your hip, pulling you flush against his body and snaking his fingers through the hair behind your head. He guides you back up into the door, his hand acting as a cushion for your head as he moves his lips against yours. Your breath hitches at the gentle impact against the door, you pull your arms back in to cup his face just as he parts from you. He rests his forehead against yours, his breaths coming out in soft pants. Your eyes meet again and just as he parts his lips to say something you hear the back door slide open and shut. Levi quickly pulls back from you, a quiet ‘shit’ falling from his lips. You realize how long you have been missing from the group. Grabbing the door handle you turn back to Levi, he responds with a gestured nod toward the door. A silent agreement that you leave first. You twist the handle and exit the bathroom quickly, closing the door behind you. As you step away from the door Erwin turns down the hall and stops at the sight of you.
"There you are.” he starts, sounding relieved. “We got worried when you didn't come back and," he stops speaking when you hear the bathroom door click shut behind you. You watch as Erwin's eyes flicker back and forth. You press your eyes shut as Levi slips quietly past you. When the back door slides shut signaling that Levi is outside, you open your eyes. Something is different about Erwin’s posture; he seems stiff and his expression indecipherable. "Oh, looks like that worked out for you then?" He questions, referencing Hange’s slip of the tongue earlier and offering a wistful smile.
"Yeah, I guess it did." You agree, biting back a grin.
***
The night died down fast. Miche made sure Hange had more water and got into their bed without issue then retreated to his own room. Erwin has the couch, and you have the recliner, your usual arrangement for nights spent over. The music was silenced, the only light now coming from a single lamp on the side table keeping the room just lit enough for Levi. He paces between the living room and kitchen, picking up the last of the mess left behind from the night. Erwin hasn’t said much since coming back inside. You assume he's not feeling well and decide to leave him alone for the night, you could fill him in tomorrow. You spend your wind down time curled up on the chair, your eyes flicking between your phone and Levi as he moves around the room. "You always had a staring problem, now I know why." he teases.
"Shut up" you roll your eyes at him, setting your phone down as he walks back towards you.
"Let's go." He says as he yanks the blanket you were using off of you, tucking it under his arm.
"Where?" You ask.
"My room, dumbass."

you finally have a moment of rest, what better way to spend it with the people you love most? Fluff <3 reassurance and slight jealousy, but most of all a breath of fresh air
wc: 9k ish :p
Your breath catches in your throat, the warmth of the indoors suddenly paling against the flicker of cold that creeps through your chest—not from the chill outside, but from those simple, offhand words.
"Captain is coming to drop off a drink for me."
It echoes, again and again, as you stand there just inside the door, your boots still half-caked in melted snow. For a second, the comfortable chatter from Sasha in the background, the gentle flipping of Mikasa’s notebook pages, and the hum of life in the common room dulls into a muted blur. Your eyes remain trained on Mikasa’s calm expression, her tone so casual it almost felt careless—but not unkind.
You’re not sure what emotion clenches harder around your heart—jealousy, fear, or the quiet ache of doubt. But something sharp nestles into your ribcage all the same.
The snow from your coat drips silently onto the wooden floor, your fingers twitching at your sides like they’re trying to figure out what to do—what to hold onto. You try to remind yourself that Mikasa’s close with everyone. That Levi often did things like that—small, quiet gestures that didn’t always mean what people thought they meant. You tell yourself you have no right to spiral. No right to jump to conclusions.
But still… your heart feels tight.
Sasha glances up from the couch, eyebrows raising slightly when she sees the shift in your face. “You okay?” she asks, voice still drowsy from a midday nap and muffled by the blanket draped over her.
You blink and force a smile, tugging off your gloves and tossing them into the basket near the entrance. “Yeah,” you say too quickly. “Just cold. I wasn’t expecting it to get this chilly today.”
Mikasa hums in agreement from the hallway, flipping a page in her notebook with one hand and scribbling something with the other. “You should make tea,” she suggests without looking up. “Captain said it’s good to warm your hands that way.”
You nod absently and move toward the small kitchenette tucked near the corner of the common room, every step feeling strangely robotic. The kettle clangs slightly as you fill it, the water hissing as it pours. You keep your eyes down, focused on the mundane task in front of you, but your mind drifts—frantically searching for meaning behind Levi’s actions, behind those few words Mikasa said.
Why her?
Why now?
Did he—
No. You stop yourself. You weren’t going to become that kind of person—the type who turns love into suspicion and affection into competition.
Still, your chest aches.
A knock sounds at the door.
You turn too quickly, heart leaping into your throat as Mikasa walks calmly to open it. You already know who’s there before the door swings open. The soft creak of hinges is followed by boots stepping in—cleaned of snow, as always. Levi stands just at the threshold, a simple cup in his gloved hand.
“I brought the ginger tea you like,” he says to Mikasa, voice quiet, matter-of-fact. His tone doesn’t carry any special inflection, no softness or warmth that makes it sound like anything more than a gesture. Just Levi being Levi. But still…
Mikasa gives a polite nod and thanks him, reaching for the mug. There’s a flicker of recognition in Levi’s eyes as they shift toward you—standing stiffly by the counter, hands curled around the edge of the table, the kettle still whistling softly.
Your eyes meet his for a second—longer than you mean to. And in that second, something passes between you. A subtle change in the air. A question unspoken.
He sees it. You know he does. The way your shoulders tense, the way your fingers twitch, the faint tremor in your smile. And for a moment, Levi lingers.
He nods once to Mikasa, turning slightly toward the hallway—then hesitates.
You can’t move. You don’t even breathe.
Then—
“I’ll be back,” he mutters to Mikasa, but his eyes are still on you.
And before anyone else can respond, he steps past the couch, past Sasha’s wide eyes and Mikasa’s inquisitive glance, walking right up to where you stand in the kitchenette. His presence settles beside you like a cold wind—sharp but grounding.
“Outside,” he says lowly. Not an order. Not a command. An invitation.
You nod silently, grabbing your coat without another word, and follow him through the door and back into the snow.
The world outside is quiet. The wind bites at your cheeks, but the cold doesn’t reach you—not fully. Not with him walking just a few steps ahead, glancing back once to make sure you’re there.
Finally, he stops beneath the bare branches of the tree that overlooks the training grounds—quiet, distant from the noise of the barracks.
“I’m not seeing her,” he says flatly, hands tucked into his coat pockets. “If that’s what you were thinking.”
You swallow, your breath curling in the cold between you. “I didn’t say anything.”
“You didn’t need to,” he mutters, eyes scanning the horizon but not quite looking at it. “You looked like you’d been stabbed through the chest when she said my name.”
The honesty makes you flinch.
You glance away, your throat tight with embarrassment and ache. “Sorry… I just— It caught me off guard.”
There’s a pause. Then—
“I said I’d try.” His voice is quieter now, almost fragile. “But I never said I’d be perfect at it.”
You look at him then, really look, and in that moment you see how much he’s trying. How much he’s fighting against his own silence, his own demons, just to say these words aloud.
You step closer. Just enough that your shoulder nearly brushes his.
“I didn’t ask for perfect,” you whisper. “I just wanted to feel chosen.”
This time, it’s Levi who breaks the distance.
His hand finds yours—slowly, deliberately—and he laces your fingers together, glove against glove, cold still pressing in around you, but his grip grounding you like firelight in a storm.
“You are.”
Your face immediately flushes and you bite your lip to stop yourself from smiling. You nod silently, daring a glance at him before looking away to the training ground. You watch the snow fall silently. "I trust you... Levi." You nod softly, the jealousy in your chest dulling from a sharp blow to a muted ache.
He doesn't speak at first. Just stays there beside you, shoulder to shoulder, hands still laced together as if your fingers were the only lifeline he had left in the world. His grip is steady—not too tight, not too loose—but enough that you feel the intent behind it. Enough that the unspoken tension in your chest loosens, little by little.
When you whisper his name—Levi—his breath stirs in the cold air like smoke, and his eyes finally shift to you. The sound of it from your lips always does something to him. Something quiet and internal and seismic, like the shifting of the earth deep beneath still ground.
“…That’s the second time you’ve called me that,” he murmurs, voice low, unreadable.
You can’t help the small smile that pulls at your lips now, warmer this time. Real. “You noticed?”
“Tch.” His brow twitches, eyes narrowing faintly. “Of course I did.”
Your eyes meet his again, and for a moment the snowfall feels like it slows around you—soft flakes tumbling down like ash in a world that had forgotten how to burn. The whole sky is a quiet canvas of grey and fading light, and in the silence, you feel his gaze like a steady pulse under your skin.
“I don’t blame you,” he says suddenly, like it’s been building in him all day. “For feeling what you did. For the doubt. I just… didn’t think it would matter this much to me that it hurt you.”
The ache in your chest returns, but this time it’s different. Gentle. Like the sting of a wound starting to close.
You watch a flake land on the curve of his coat sleeve and melt slowly, leaving a damp mark in the shape of a star. “It matters to me too,” you whisper. “What you feel. What you choose.”
A pause. Then, so softly it almost disappears in the wind—
“I’m choosing this,” he says.
Your heart stumbles.
Not you. Not this relationship. Just this—because Levi never makes declarations he can’t uphold, never promises more than he knows he can deliver. But that word from his mouth… it means something. A slow-burning vow. A weighty admission wrapped in restraint.
You don’t realize how tight your throat is until you exhale, your shoulders dropping a little from the tension you didn’t know you were holding.
You squeeze his hand gently. “Thank you,” you say, not needing to say more.
His free hand shifts in his pocket, and you see the hesitation before he moves it. Slowly, carefully, he reaches toward you, tugging the scarf at your collar just a bit tighter, fingers brushing the skin beneath your jaw. The contact is brief, but it sends sparks of warmth crawling across your skin like embers through cold veins.
“You looked cold earlier,” he mutters, almost like an excuse.
“I was,” you admit with a small laugh, your voice catching just slightly. “But I think I’m okay now.”
He lets out a soft, almost inaudible hnn, eyes flicking up to the grey sky for a moment before returning to you. “Let’s go back before Sasha eats everything.”
You snort gently at that, a welcome ripple of humor grounding you again. “She probably already did.”
He finally releases your hand, but not without letting his fingers linger for a heartbeat longer than necessary. And even as the cold air rushes in to take its place, you feel the residual warmth of his presence humming in your chest.
You walk side by side back toward the barracks, snow crunching under your boots, silence stretching between you like a second skin. But it’s a good silence now. A full one. The kind that holds understanding, not absence.
And just before the door creaks open, before the voices of your friends spill into the hallway again, you feel the ghost of his breath at your ear—low, meant for only you.
“I missed you too.”
Then he’s gone, walking ahead into the warmth and light.
The grin spreads across your face before you can stop it—warm, uncontrollable, the kind that climbs straight out of your chest like sunlight breaking over a frozen field. Your breath curls in the cold as you linger in the threshold, half-lost in the memory of his words just moments ago.
I missed you too.
He hadn’t looked back when he said it. Hadn’t needed to. It was just like him—quiet, composed, understated. And yet it hit you with the force of a cannonball right through your ribs.
You flex your fingers at your sides, the buzz of warmth still lingering in your palms where his had held yours. With a quiet laugh, you rake a hand through your hair, suddenly shy despite the giddy rush dancing under your skin. You can still hear the faint murmur of conversation inside, the low hum of Sasha teasing someone over food, maybe Jean groaning about something again, Mikasa quietly scribbling in her notebook near the window.
But it’s not any of that that pulls you in now. It’s him.
You step back into the barracks, letting the heavy door shut behind you with a dull click. The air inside is warmer, laced with the scent of woodsmoke and something sweet—probably Sasha’s doing—and the soft thrum of laughter, conversation, life. Your boots thud gently against the wooden floorboards as you trail into the common room, the fire crackling low in the hearth.
And there he is.
Levi stands near the corner, half-shadowed by the orange glow of the firelight, his coat already unbuttoned and folded neatly over one arm. He’s speaking with Mikasa, his voice low, calm—just passing her a mug of something steaming before slipping his hands back into his pockets. He doesn’t glance your way, but somehow you know he’s aware. Of your eyes on him. Of the hitch in your breath.
The way your grin softens into something smaller. More sacred.
You hesitate for only a heartbeat before walking toward him, feet light, like the floor might crack if you move too quickly.
As you approach, Mikasa casts a glance between the two of you, something unreadable flickering behind her steady gaze. She gives you a quiet nod and takes her drink, moving wordlessly toward the window again. Always observant. Always kind in her own way.
Now it’s just you and him.
Levi’s eyes flick to yours, a silent question there—You okay?
You nod, still smiling. “You made that look too easy.”
He raises a brow. “Made what look easy?”
“Walking away after saying something like that,” you say, voice just above a whisper. “You can’t just say something like I missed you too and leave me standing in the cold with a grin like an idiot.”
A breath of amusement escapes him, subtle. Almost a smirk. “You’re still standing here with that grin, aren’t you?”
You laugh, shaking your head as your arms cross loosely. “Yeah. Yeah, I guess I am.”
For a moment, the sounds of the room fade—the fire, the chatter, the creak of wood—and all you feel is him again. His eyes on you. The calm storm he always carries with him like a second skin.
“Are we good?” you ask gently, quieter this time. “Like… really good?”
He doesn’t answer right away. Just reaches out, fingers brushing your sleeve near your elbow, like he’s checking to see if you’re real. Then, slowly, he nods.
“Yeah,” he murmurs. “We’re good.”
You exhale, that grin threatening to return full force. And before either of you can say anything more, Sasha calls out from across the room with her usual cheerful bluntness, “Hey! Are you two just gonna stand there forever? Food’s gonna get cold!”
Connie snorts in laughter beside her, nudging her with an elbow. “Don’t act like you aren’t the one who already stole a roll off Jean’s plate.”
Jean protests in the background, loud and indignant, and the room fills with soft chatter and laughter.
Levi glances toward the table with a quiet sigh, muttering under his breath, “Tch. Brats.”
But when you catch his eyes again, there’s no real edge in his tone. Only the faintest lift at the corner of his mouth. A rare, quiet ease.
“Come on,” he says, brushing past you gently. “Before they burn the place down.”
And when you sit beside him at the table—shoulder to shoulder, the scent of warmth and bread and snow still clinging to both of you—it settles deep in your chest:
You’re good. And maybe, just maybe… you’re starting to feel like you belong.
You nod and nudge him softly on the shoulder. Not enough to mean something, but enough to acknowledge. "Hungry, Captain?"
Levi doesn’t look at you right away.
Instead, he picks up a mug—tea, by the faint scent of it—and blows on the surface once before taking a slow sip. He swallows, eyes flicking up just as you’re pulling your hand back from the soft nudge to his shoulder. There's a barely-there pause.
Then:
“Tch.” It’s the most noncommittal sound imaginable, but the glance he gives you says more. His eyes linger for just a breath longer than necessary. Not irritated. Not unreadable. Just… there.
“I haven’t had anything since morning,” he admits finally, tone low and simple, like the words are begrudgingly dragged out. “So. I guess that counts.”
Across the room, Sasha is already stuffing something into her mouth, eyes darting toward the two of you like she’s watching a drama unfold but pretending she’s not. Mikasa sits cross-legged on the floor with a blanket across her lap, casting only the briefest glance your way before returning to her notes.
You tilt your head slightly, eyes narrowing in a teasing smile. “That’s not an answer.”
Levi raises an eyebrow, reaching across the table to pick up a plate without replying. His movements are neat, efficient—yet there’s something almost… relaxed about the way he moves now. Like the exhaustion of the week has worn down the edge of his usual strictness. Just a bit.
He sets the plate in front of him, then turns to glance at you again.
“…Fine,” he mutters, tearing a roll in half and handing you one side without looking at you directly. “Happy?”
You blink, surprised for a beat, before the smile spreads across your face again.
“Very,” you murmur, fingers brushing his as you take it. And even though he pretends not to notice—eyes already fixed on the plate again—there’s a flush of warmth blooming quietly between you.
Outside, the wind is still whispering snow against the windows, but inside the common room, there’s a calm that settles. The gentle chatter of your squadmates hums in the background, the soft clinking of plates and mugs.
And in that moment, as you sit beside him sharing a split roll in the soft lamplight, it feels—without fanfare or force—like enough.
You nod slowly as you savor a bite of the roll and how the butter melts on your tongue. "Mmmm..." You sigh, smiling once more. "Good food, good company. I thought I'd be pretty low energy today but... Well maybe I am," you remedy, "but even in my tiredness there are still things to be grateful for."
Levi sits with a lazy lean against the armrest, fork turning absently through his plate as he glances over at you with that unreadable, half-lidded stare. “Tch. I’d say you’re still low energy. You’re just better at hiding it today.”
But the tone isn’t biting—if anything, it’s mellow, like the snow drifting past the window panes behind him. He takes a slow bite, not even pretending to savor it like you do, but something about the quiet chew of bread and butter seems to settle him.
“You did good,” he mutters finally, almost like an afterthought. “For your exams. I heard from Miche.”
You blink.
“Don’t look so surprised. You think I don’t check in on my soldiers?” He sips his tea with a soft clink. “Miche said you held your own, even with the nerves.”
There’s a pause as the sound of Sasha laughing in the kitchen drifts through, a pot clattering in the distance. Levi looks down at his cup, steam curling against his face. “You’re right, though. There’s still things to be grateful for. Moments like this. Quiet. Warm. Not covered in blood for once.”
He doesn’t smile, but there’s a softness to the edge of his voice.
Then, after a pause, dry as ever, he adds, “Enjoy it while it lasts. Knowing our luck, some shitstorm’ll start tomorrow.”
And yet… he doesn't move. He stays there with you, sitting across the table, the faintest pull at the corner of his mouth like he’s just a little less tired around you.
You let out a laugh at his unexpected candor.
"Miche's exam was fine, though I think that's because I've simply admitted defeat. But," your eyes light up with renewed hope, "Hange's physics exam? I passed it! My first one."
You breathe out a sigh of relief. "I thought it wouldn't be possible, but I finally passed. Took me two failed exams though."
You shrug, clicking your tongue. "Maybe it helped that you weren't there to distract me."
You shoulder him teasingly, your eyes lifting from his gaze to look at Armin and Eren who had just stepped into the common lounge. Catching eyes with Armin, your gaze softens and smile brightens, mouthing a silent 'hi.'
Levi lets out a quiet, nearly imperceptible snort at your teasing, your shoulder nudging against his arm. He doesn’t lean into it, but he doesn’t move away either. That alone is something. His eyes narrow faintly, side-glancing you like he’s gauging whether you’re actually implying he’s a distraction… or if you’re flirting again. Maybe both.
“Tch. If my presence is what’s screwing with your grades, maybe I should just avoid you altogether,” he mutters dryly—but there’s a quirk to his tone, the kind that betrays a subtle smirk buried under all that stoicism. “Or maybe you just need to learn how to focus.”
Then, without looking, he flicks a small crumb of bread at your sleeve, the closest thing to playful Levi ever gets.
As your gaze drifts to the doorway, Armin and Eren walk in from the corridor, both brushing flakes of snow off their cloaks. Eren’s already mid-complaint about the cold, dragging his boots across the floor, while Armin’s hands are cupped around a steaming mug that’s too big for his palms. His blue eyes catch yours, and in that second—while Eren’s still talking about how the training dummies are frozen solid—Armin lifts his brows in quiet surprise and recognition.
Your silent ‘hi’ reaches him, and his expression shifts instantly—his eyes soften, his lips part just slightly in return. A small smile blooms, a silent one made just for you. Not overdone, not forced. Just warm. Armin lifts a hand, halfway between a greeting and a fond wave, and then glances away, cheeks tinged with the cold—or something else.
Levi follows your gaze for a beat, taking in the moment with that unreadable expression again. His voice lowers just a little, more thoughtful than sarcastic this time. “Arlert’s a good kid.”
He doesn’t say anything else.
The fire crackles faintly nearby. Sasha’s started humming something off-key in the kitchen, and Jean’s voice echoes from another hallway, arguing with Connie about whether or not they should start a snowball fight outside.
You feel it then—not just warmth, but something heavier. The weight of peace, rare and fragile as it is, pressing gently on your shoulders like a wool blanket.
You passed.
You’re here.
And for a little while longer… you’re allowed to rest.
You breathe in slowly, deeply, trying to absorb whatever air it is that was putting your mind at ease. Maybe it was the scent of Levi right next to you. Humming a song to yourself, you sit in silence for a bit as you simply... be. Your mind tugs back to a passing comment before biting your lip and nodding.
"Yeah, Armin has grown to be one of my closest friends here." You pause. "I suppose I resonate with his curiosity and desire for truth. Or, it could be the fact we end up studying so late together and he's always explaining class material to me or helping me last minute cram for exams." You add with a laugh, your gaze searching for him fondly.
Levi’s gaze flickers over to you—just for a moment. You feel the weight of it even before you look, that sharp yet quiet awareness of his settling somewhere over your shoulders like a coat you didn’t know you needed. He doesn’t interrupt. Just listens.
The quiet hum of your voice hangs in the air, layered over the soft clink of Sasha putting dishes away and the wind murmuring outside the frosted window.
You watch Armin across the room as he sits at the far end of the couch, tucking one leg beneath him as he flips through notes he’d probably been reading all morning. There’s a certain way his brow furrows when he’s focused, like the world falls away around him and only the pursuit of knowledge exists in that moment. When he notices you looking again, his eyes lift. A smile tugs at the corners of his lips, the kind that says you’re not bothering me—stay if you want.
Levi follows the direction of your gaze and exhales faintly, barely more than a breath. “He’s always had that in him,” he says, low, rough like a rumble against the wood-paneled silence. “That damn stubborn heart. Too smart for his own good sometimes.”
There’s a fondness buried beneath his tone, though it’s so subtle you’d almost miss it if you didn’t know what to listen for.
“I see why you gravitate toward him.” He looks down at his own hands, thumb brushing an invisible crease on his glove. “Tch. You both talk too much.”
You grin.
The fire pops and shifts beside you, the golden light dancing along the contours of the room, throwing warmth across your legs, the table, and part of Levi’s shoulder. His scent—tea leaves, fresh air, something older and grounded—lingers close, and you realize how rare it is to sit like this. Not in urgency. Not in command. Just… together.
He doesn’t say anything more. But he doesn’t move away either.
You catch Armin watching again—this time not just you, but the space between you and Levi. A flicker of understanding passes behind his eyes before he looks down at his book, hiding the barest trace of a smile as he turns the page.
And in that tiny pause of the afternoon, between the weight of past exams and the promise of the next mission, you let yourself be. Just as you are, with the people who’ve made the heaviness of this world a little easier to carry.
Even if only for now.
Outside, the wind shifts through the trees like a hush, like the whole world is trying not to intrude.
The fire crackles again. You pull your knees up to your chest and rest your chin there, warm from the gentle heat, the presence beside you, the casual chatter of Sasha and Connie arguing over rations in the corner. It feels like being wrapped in something wordless—this kind of quiet isn’t born from silence, but from safety.
You feel it in the ease of your muscles. In the way your breath doesn’t catch in your throat anymore. In how Levi doesn’t move away when your shoulder brushes his again, the second time in the last ten minutes. If anything, he settles deeper into the couch, almost imperceptibly—like your nearness has become part of the atmosphere. Expected. Welcome.
Armin glances up again, catching you watching him this time. He flashes you that half-smile that only your closest friends can give—tired, knowing, a little amused.
Eren walks by behind him, yawning dramatically before flopping onto a beanbag near the fire, groaning like he hasn’t slept in days. Mikasa steps in behind him, brushing snow off her scarf and shaking her head softly at his antics. She notices you and gives a quiet nod, her eyes trailing toward Levi for a split second before moving on. No judgment, no smirk. Just… acknowledgment.
The camaraderie of it all wraps around you like a soft quilt. Not perfect, not easy—but yours. These moments between the chaos, between the duty and danger. You can feel how precious they are by how gently everyone holds them, even the loud ones.
Levi’s voice cuts into the quiet, low and deliberate.
“You passed Hange’s exam?” he mutters, keeping his gaze forward, but there’s the slightest tilt of his head—curious, maybe impressed.
You nod with a proud little hum. “Took me long enough.”
“Tch. Two failures before you got it right?” His lips twitch. “That’s some real determination. Or stupidity. Maybe both.”
You scoff, nudging his knee with yours. “I like to think it’s charm.”
He huffs out a quiet breath, almost a laugh. Almost. Then, “You’re not the only one who had to retake Hange’s physics test more than once.” He sips from his mug without looking at you, but the admission lands like a secret you weren’t supposed to hear.
You blink. “Wait—you failed?”
He says nothing, which is as good as a confirmation.
A grin splits your face. “I’m never letting this go.”
He finally turns to look at you then, deadpan. “You try saying that again after she makes you build a functional pulley system using nothing but scrap metal and a broken pen.”
You laugh—loud, free, and honest. And the sound melts into the warmth of the room like it belongs there.
Levi doesn’t smile, not fully. But there’s something softer at the edge of his eyes now. Something proud, maybe. Or just at peace.
You lean your head gently against his shoulder again, sighing through your smile. He doesn’t move. Doesn’t flinch or tense or pull away. Just exists beside you, solid and steady.
The room settles into that bubble again. The fire crackles. Sasha is now arguing about who ate her bread from two days ago. Jean is trying to prove it wasn’t him, but he’s losing that battle fast. Eren is snoring quietly. Mikasa turns another page.
And for just this afternoon—for this small, unremarkable pocket of time—you let yourself believe that maybe peace doesn’t have to be far away. That maybe it's tucked right here, in the stillness between people who’ve seen too much but hold on anyway.
You stand up, walking to the window and place a hand against the pane. The glass was cool to touch, but not unbearable within the shelter of the barracks. "Hm, let's do something fun guys. Not crazy spontaneous, but I haven't had a chance to be with you guys and simply play in so long."
Connie immediately perks up from his spot near the hearth, one of Sasha’s knit socks dangling from his hand like he’s unsure whether to wear it or eat it. “Play?” he echoes, brows lifting as if you just said something revolutionary. “Like—childish, no-responsibilities kind of play? ‘Cause I’m so in.”
Sasha sits upright so fast her half-eaten roll topples off her lap and onto the floor. “I second that! Let’s play something fun,” she grins, eyes wide. “Let’s do something where Mikasa can’t kick our asses in under five seconds though.”
Mikasa, still quietly flipping through her notebook, doesn’t even look up. “That’s only because you two refuse to follow basic instructions.”
Jean, from the far couch, makes a dramatic ugh noise and tosses a small pillow at Mikasa, which she dodges with ease and zero attention diverted from her page.
You press your hand a little firmer against the glass and smile at the familiar rhythm. “Seriously, though,” you murmur. “No sparring, no studying, no strategizing. Just… one night off. Something silly. Something easy.”
Eren, still half-dozing, grunts. “Like cards?”
“Or charades,” Armin suggests thoughtfully. “We used to play that when we were kids. Back in Shiganshina.”
“Ugh, that game brings out the worst in people,” Jean groans. “Last time we played that, Hange mimed a decomposing titan and Sasha guessed ‘fermented cheese.’”
“I was close!” Sasha huffs, pointing at him indignantly. “You weren’t even trying to guess!”
Levi, still beside the couch, watches all this unfold with his usual half-lidded, unimpressed stare—but something about the way his arms are crossed, the slight tilt of his head… he’s not disengaged. Just listening.
You turn from the window and look at him. “Even you, Captain. No work. No forms. No brooding. Just…” You lift your hands with a shrug, your smile a little mischievous. “Play.”
He narrows his eyes. “You’re awfully bold tonight.”
“Because I passed physics,” you say proudly.
That earns a huff of something halfway between amusement and disbelief. But he sets down the clipboard anyway, very slowly and deliberately, as if to make a point of it. “One round.”
You beam.
Fifteen minutes later, the common room is transformed. The desks are pushed to the side, pillows and blankets strewn across the floor, someone has brought down a battered deck of cards and a random assortment of game pieces—some of which probably aren’t even from the same game.
Sasha and Connie have elected themselves “Chaos Coordinators,” which means they’re mostly running around arguing over rules and setting up pieces in the wrong order. Armin’s trying to organize something coherent while Mikasa sits cross-legged on the floor beside him, correcting Sasha’s attempts at shuffling. Jean’s already made himself comfortable with a mug in hand, declaring himself the future champion of whatever this becomes.
You sit back against the arm of the couch, knees tucked in, watching everyone fall into easy banter and laughter. And across the room, just outside the fray, Levi leans against the wall—arms crossed again, but no clipboard this time. Just him. Present.
His eyes find you through the mess of movement, and for the smallest moment, you share that quiet again. A wordless thread that stretches across the room, stronger than any game.
He doesn’t smile.
But he nods once.
You smile for the both of you.
“Alright!” Sasha yells, standing on the couch. “First round is a game of guess the weird object! We’ve gathered six mystery items from our rooms, and your job is to guess what the hell they are with your eyes closed!”
“What the fuck kind of game is that?” Levi mutters, under his breath.
But he doesn’t leave.
No one does.
Tonight, the walls of the barracks hum with laughter. The cold remains outside the windows. And inside—where your hand once pressed to the glass, wishing for something light and playful—you find it blooming, alive and real, in the warmth of your friends’ voices and the steady, silent presence of the Captain who chose to stay.
"Wait! Wait!" You spring up from your seated position, running to the door. "Let's ask the others if they want to join. The Commander might be busy, but it can't hurt to try at least." You stick your tongue out and laugh. "Or maybe Miche, or Hange squad leaders?" You bounce on your feet, restless and giddy with happiness, hoping to be fast enough so the moment wouldn't pass by the time you return.
“Oi—careful, you're gonna trip over your own feet,” Levi calls out flatly as you nearly stumble slipping your shoes back on. But there’s no sharpness to his voice—only the same dry tone that somehow always carries just enough weight to make you glance back at him.
The corner of his mouth quirks up, barely. “Don’t take too long.”
Your cheeks warm. You throw him a salute, two fingers to your brow with exaggerated flair. “Yes, Captain.”
Sasha hoots from the other side of the room. “Go! Go! Before the energy dies and we all remember we have essays due!”
“Speak for yourself,” Jean grumbles, sprawled across a cushion like a bored cat. “I’m not doing work tonight.”
“That’s because you never do work, Jean,” Mikasa says without missing a beat, still organizing the cards neatly by suit in front of her.
You’re already halfway through the hallway before the echo of laughter dies down behind you, your feet light against the floorboards. The barracks feel quieter out here, empty and cold again—but the memory of warmth from the common room seems to linger like smoke on your skin.
You pause outside Hange’s door first, catching your breath. Soft shuffling sounds inside—something being knocked over.
“Yeah, just a sec!” Hange’s muffled voice calls out before you can even knock. The door opens moments later and she blinks down at you, glasses slightly askew and a pencil tucked behind her ear. “Oh! It’s you. Is this about the sulfur experiment I forgot about? Because technically—”
“Nope,” you grin. “We’re playing games. No strategy, no studying, no explosions. Want to join?”
Hange’s mouth opens—closes. Her entire face lights up like a lamp. “Are you kidding? Absolutely I want to join. Let me grab my socks with the toes—those are my lucky game socks.”
You giggle as she spins back inside her room with wild energy, already muttering about battle formations for charades.
Next, you knock on Miche’s door.
It takes a moment, and when it opens, he’s already chewing something—dried jerky, probably. He blinks at you slowly, tilting his head like a very large, vaguely confused dog.
“Games?” you offer with a grin, bouncing on your toes. “Just for fun. Thought it’d be nice to get everyone in the same room without a mission or a meeting for once.”
He chews thoughtfully.
Sniffs the air once, in classic Miche fashion.
Then shrugs. “Why not.”
It feels almost like victory.
You dart back down the hallway, grinning so wide your cheeks ache. The warmth builds again in your chest as you hear voices growing louder from the common room.
The moment hasn't passed.
It waited for you.
The room erupts into cheers as you return with Hange in one hand, who’s now holding a strange rubber duck claiming it’s going to be her “good luck charm,” and Miche right behind, stoic but present.
“Nice!” Connie fist-pumps. “This is gonna be the best chaos yet.”
You reclaim your spot by the couch just as Sasha slides a new blanket toward you. “We saved you the coziest one,” she whispers like it's a secret.
“Damn right you did,” you say, dropping into it with a satisfied sigh.
Your eyes meet Levi’s across the room again.
He hasn’t moved much—still leaning near the wall, arms crossed. But he hasn’t left. And when he sees you settled, surrounded by laughter, eyes bright and chest rising with breathless joy—he looks away quickly, like he’s afraid he might be caught staring too long.
But not before you catch the faintest twitch at the edge of his lips.
A not-quite-smile.
You lean back against the couch, the noise of your friends enveloping you like a soft tide. And for tonight, you let go of every burden. The walls of duty. The expectations. The worry.
Tonight, you play.
The laughter in the common room is climbing now—rising in waves as Hange insists the rubber duck gives her “unparalleled deductive reasoning” in the card game she’s currently losing miserably. Sasha’s crying from laughter on the floor, face buried in a pillow as Connie dramatically reenacts Hange’s “moment of defeat” with flailing arms and sound effects.
“Behold, the genius falls!” he wails, pretending to drop dead with the deck of cards raining down like confetti.
“Unbelievable,” Jean groans, half-smiling despite himself. “We’re adults.”
“Speak for yourself,” you murmur, barely containing your own laughter as you wipe a tear from the corner of your eye.
Mikasa chuckles under her breath. Even Armin's shoulders shake in quiet amusement as he watches the chaos unfold with fond exasperation.
Levi stands at the edge of it all—arms still folded, expression unreadable, but there’s a certain softness to the set of his shoulders now. Something easier. Something lighter. And though he doesn’t join in the games, he stays. Close.
You feel it like a quiet weight beside you. Not heavy. Just... grounding.
And then—there’s the unmistakable sound of the front door opening. A hush falls, briefly, as boots step into the barracks. Heads turn.
Erwin.
His broad figure fills the frame, wind-chilled and dusted faintly with snow, the ends of his coat damp from the outside.
“Evening,” he greets simply, eyes scanning the room.
It’s surreal—seeing him here, outside of the strategy tables and early morning briefings. Not in uniform, just wrapped in a dark wool coat with gloves tucked under one arm.
Hange’s eyes go wide. “Erwin!” she gasps, scrambling upright and nearly knocking her duck off the table. “Did you actually show up for something not involving a war council?”
He smirks faintly. “I heard there was a gathering.”
“More like a temporary lapse in sanity,” Jean mutters, dodging the cushion Sasha throws at him.
“Games,” you chime in, smiling up at him from your blanket nest. “Cards, jokes, hot tea. You can join if you want.”
Erwin’s gaze drifts over the scene—the circle of soldiers seated on the floor, the half-eaten snacks, the candlelight flickering warm against the windows—and something subtle shifts in his posture.
“I won’t stay long,” he says. “But I think I can afford a few minutes.”
Connie jumps up like it’s an emergency. “SOMEONE GET HIM A MUG. NOW.”
“You act like he’s royalty,” Mikasa deadpans.
“He is!” Sasha argues. “He’s the Commander. And now we have the Commander and the Captain here! That’s double morale boost!”
“Double the scary,” Jean adds.
Erwin finally settles down on one of the floor cushions, nodding politely to Armin as he accepts the mug someone hands him. “Thank you.”
You watch the crew slowly reorganize around the new addition like puzzle pieces shifting. It’s not tense, not rigid—just... a rare thing. Everyone sharing a moment that isn’t laced with battle cries or marching orders.
Across the room, Levi meets your gaze again.
He hasn’t smiled, not truly. But there’s something in his eyes. A softness around the edges of his silence.
Something that says:
Thank you.
Not with words. Not with declarations.
But with presence.
The way he stayed.
The way he didn’t need to say he was here for you—because he already was.
The night stretches on with card games and whispered jokes, the occasional howl of laughter echoing down the hallway. Even Erwin ends up losing a round to Sasha, who claims it’s divine intervention.
You rest your head back against the couch, heart warm and full.
And for once, there is no need for titles.
No need for ranks.
Just you, and the people who have somehow carved their way into your life like light slipping through a battlefield.
And Levi—watching, nearby, saying nothing.
But still... there.
You quietly make your way to him amidst the playful atmosphere, standing silently beside him, though your fingers twitch to brush his for a brief second. You look at him and smile before sliding your gaze back to the random group of people who had gathered in a moment of reprieve.
Levi doesn’t move at first—not even when you step beside him. He just watches the group, expression as unreadable as ever. His arms remain folded, his shoulders steady. But after a moment, you feel it: the slightest shift. His hand relaxes by his side, no longer closed into a fist, no longer held in tension.
Then, as if caught in hesitation, his fingers twitch once. Almost like a question.
You don’t answer it out loud. You don’t need to.
You simply let your own hand linger near his—not touching, but close enough for him to feel the warmth.
And maybe that’s enough.
His head tilts the smallest degree, and though he doesn’t look at you directly, his voice comes low and quiet, meant only for you beneath the distant echo of laughter.
“…You look like you needed this.”
It’s not a question. It’s a statement, like he knew all along. Like he watched you—shoulders tense for weeks, heart heavy, eyes darting too often toward things unsaid. And now here you are, barefoot in wool socks, firelight dancing across your skin, surrounded by laughter and chaos and friends.
You nod softly, smiling at the distant sound of Sasha making Erwin taste her terrible tea blend.
“I think we all did,” you whisper back.
There’s another pause. Another beat of silent understanding.
Then, gently—like a secret passed between soldiers on the eve of something bigger—his pinky nudges yours.
It’s subtle. Barely there.
But the contact sends a quiet current through your chest, one that makes your breath catch just a little.
It doesn’t linger long. Just a second. Maybe less. But it’s enough.
Levi looks away again, but you catch it—
The faintest upward twitch at the corner of his lips.
And for the first time in a while, you realize...
It’s okay to feel this safe. To laugh. To be held in a moment. To want.
And even if you’re not sure what tomorrow holds—
Tonight?
He’s here.
"Thank you for your affirmations," you whisper quietly, "I don't think I'm a very secure person. I… I apologise. I'll probably continue to need your affirmations to retain trust in... us."
His eyes flick toward you this time, sharp but not harsh—like he’s scanning every word as it leaves your lips. You feel it before he even speaks: the shift in his attention, the full weight of it, like standing under a heavy snowfall that somehow feels protective instead of cold.
“Tch.” A soft exhale. Not quite annoyance. More like… regret. Something caught behind his teeth.
He turns just enough to face you. “Don’t apologize for needing something real,” he says, voice low and even, but edged with something quieter underneath—like emotion sealed in iron. “Not in a world like this.”
The flickering lantern light casts gold shadows on the side of his face, and when his gaze settles back on yours, it’s steady. Grounded.
“I’m not good at this shit,” Levi admits bluntly, voice softening only a fraction. “Not at saying what I feel. Or proving things the way people want them proven. But if I give you my word... if I say I’m here…” He lifts a hand—slow, deliberate—and presses two fingers against his own chest, just above the strap of his harness. “Then that means I am. No fucking games. No half-hearted promises.”
He lets that sit in the space between you, the unspoken warmth of it heavier than any embrace. Then his hand drops again, brushing slightly against your own—this time on purpose.
“You need my affirmations?” His voice lowers another notch. “Then you’ll have them. Again. And again. However many fucking times it takes.”
For a long moment, you just breathe—because there’s something in the way he says it. Not romantic in the traditional sense, no flowery warmth or soft poetic turns. But Levi’s love was never a blooming thing. It was forged. Earned. Fought for. Like iron wrapped around a heartbeat.
And now, you hear it in the steady cadence of his words. In the quiet spaces he makes for you. In the way he chooses to stay.
He glances away, then back again. “But you better give yourself a little goddamn credit too.”
You smile gently, throat tight with something that feels like relief and ache all at once.
“Okay,” you whisper. “Okay. I will.”
And for a moment—just a moment—the snow outside keeps falling, and time feels like it’s holding its breath. Safe. Suspended. Yours.
"Do you need anything from me? What am I lacking? I want you to be assured of me too."
Levi’s eyes flick to you again—this time slower, more lingering. The cold air seems to still between you both, muffled by the walls of the barracks and the hush of the snow pressing gently against the glass panes.
He studies you, but not like before—this isn’t the sharp gaze of a soldier, or even the narrowed squint of someone on guard. It’s quieter. Thoughtful. His lips part like he’s about to answer quickly, but then he hesitates… and looks down.
“No.” His voice is quiet—softer than you’ve heard all day. “You’re not lacking anything.”
There’s a breath. Not a sigh. Just space for honesty to land. He leans his elbow onto the edge of the window beside you, arms crossing lightly over his chest as he stares out at the snow, jaw working once, twice before he speaks again.
“You’ve already given me more than I thought I’d ever let myself need,” he says, blunt but not cold. “And that scares the hell out of me sometimes.”
He glances at you from the corner of his eye, tone flat but purposeful. “That doesn’t mean you scare me. You’re… the opposite of that. You’re the calm in all the noise.” He pauses, then adds under his breath, “The fucking ache I look forward to.”
It’s a strange thing, being someone’s ache. But from Levi, it sounds like the highest honor.
He shifts slightly, and this time his hand brushes yours deliberately again. The pressure is featherlight, not quite a grasp—just a whisper of skin against skin. “If I need anything,” he murmurs, “it’s just for you to stay. And keep being real with me. Keep showing up like you do, even when I’m a cold bastard.”
He finally turns fully to you, standing so close now that the edge of his cloak brushes the side of your arm. The heat from him is subtle but grounding.
“You’re not lacking,” he repeats. “Don’t twist yourself up wondering how to be more for me. Just be you. That’s what I need.”
A silence hangs. Warm this time.
And in that space, the wind outside picks up just slightly, carrying the snow in swirls past the windows. Somewhere behind you, Sasha laughs—loud, breathless—and you can faintly hear the thud of someone slipping in the snow, followed by Jean cursing under his breath.
But right here, in this still moment with Levi, everything else fades.
You look up at him, breath caught in your throat, and he offers something rare. A glance—not quite a smile—but soft at the edges. Almost… proud.
“C’mon,” he says quietly, his voice nearly a murmur. “Let’s go join the others. Before those idiots hurt themselves out there.” But he doesn’t move just yet. He stays right there, with you.
"Wait, Levi. But I can't ask this of you, to need more than what you give. How can I be okay with it when you just accept me just so? Isn't there anything I can improve on?"
Levi blinks once—slow, unhurried. The pause that follows is quiet and heavy, like the snow settling on rooftops, like the weight of everything he hasn’t said lingering just between your words. You feel the space close in slightly around you both, not suffocating, just... intimate.
He exhales through his nose. Not annoyed. Not distant. Just thoughtful. His gaze doesn’t flick away this time. It stays fixed on you, eyes darker in the low light, softer somehow.
“You keep asking that like this is some kind of fucking transaction,” he says, quiet but pointed. “Like you’re meant to match me blow for blow. Like we’re tallying something.”
There’s no judgment in his tone—just a tired kind of honesty. The kind that makes your chest sting a little because it’s true.
Levi shifts his weight, shoulders relaxing only slightly, and looks down for a beat. “You want something to work on?” he asks, glancing up again, one brow lifting in that dry, sardonic way that makes your stomach tighten. “Start by letting yourself be loved.”
The words are soft, almost hidden behind the rasp in his voice—but they land like a stone in still water.
He turns to lean fully against the wall now, arms crossed, boot scuffing lightly at the floor. “I know what it looks like when people beg to be more,” he mutters, tone sharper at the edges now—not at you, never at you—but at some ghost of his past. “When they twist themselves trying to be something that someone might choose.” His jaw tightens. “It eats them alive.”
Your breath hitches.
“And you?” he adds, finally looking at you again, really looking—his eyes steady, unblinking. “You’re already enough. I don’t say that to coddle you. I say it because it’s the fucking truth.”
You feel your throat tighten, but you hold his gaze. Because there’s something steady there. Something weathered but unshaken. Like stone beneath a storm.
“I don’t need you to give more. I need you to believe that what you give is already something I want,” he says simply.
And then—quietly, more gently—he adds, “I don’t love you because you’re perfect. I care because you’re you.” A pause. “Clumsy words, overthinking everything, biting your damn lip every time you hesitate.” His tone softens. “The way you show up even when you’re tired. The way you never fucking stop trying.”
Another beat.
“You keep doing that? That’s all I’ll ever ask for.”
You blink quickly, breath shallow.
Then he tilts his head, eyes narrowing with that small, familiar smirk—subtle but sure. “...Unless you want to stop losing your damn boots in the snow. That, I wouldn’t complain about.”
A laugh cracks through your chest like sunlight through heavy clouds.
Levi just watches you, quiet satisfaction flickering in his eyes—still leaning casually against the wall like none of this cost him anything to say… even though you know it did.
And as the voices of your friends echo from the distance—Eren yelling something about a snowball truce, Sasha howling with laughter, Mikasa sighing fondly—you feel a warmth settle deep in your bones.
This wasn’t a confession made under moonlight or roses.
But it was real. Solid. Steady.
And for Levi, that’s as close to poetry as you’ll ever get.
You  bite your lip before you even realize, then laugh once more. Nodding your head in satisfaction, your chest blooms with unfiltered, raw warmth. Your fingers reach out to grasp his, but you restrain yourself, letting them drop and twitch at your sides. "Levi, I-" You scratch your ear self consciously. "Thank you. Really."
Levi’s gaze lingers on you, his stance relaxed but never without edge—hands half in his pockets, shoulders squared just enough to remind the room who he is. The common lounge hums around you, the warmth of the fire casting a soft glow over the knot of mismatched chairs and the cluttered coffee table strewn with Armin’s books and half-finished tea mugs.
But his eyes aren’t on any of that. They’re on you.
He watches your fingers twitch at your sides, gaze following the movement like he noticed everything—because he does. Levi doesn’t say anything at first. He just breathes in slowly, nostrils flaring a little as if weighing the moment, judging the gravity of your restrained reach… and then acting in that quiet, calculated way that only he can.
He steps forward—just slightly. Enough to erase the distance, enough for the cold air between your bodies to dissipate. And without a word, he lifts his hand and brushes two fingers against yours. It’s not a full grasp. Not a tug, not a demand.
But it’s permission.
It’s presence.
You glance up at him, and the weight of his gaze is steady. There’s nothing overly tender or theatrical about it. It’s Levi—rough-edged and raw, but never careless. His fingers linger just enough to say: I’m here. Still here.
“Tch.” He clicks his tongue faintly. “You don’t have to thank me for saying what should’ve been fucking obvious.”
But the way he says it? There’s no venom in the words. Just that worn-down affection, so subtle you’d miss it if you weren’t already attuned to the shape of his care.
His hand drops slowly back to his side. “You already fight hard enough out there. Don’t fight me too.”
You swallow, blinking back a wave of something that rises—grateful and shaky and so deeply seen that it almost steals your breath.
A laugh rings out in the background—Sasha, probably—and Armin’s voice follows, light and bookish, explaining something to Eren. Mikasa shifts in her seat, her scarf tucked neatly around her neck, silently watching over it all like a silent sentinel.
And yet, none of it pulls you away from Levi.
He leans his weight on one leg slightly, head tilting, eyes narrowing in that way he does when he’s reading you—like you’re a battlefield he’s already memorized but revisits anyway, out of quiet obligation or something else he hasn’t named yet.
His voice is lower now, private beneath the buzz of the lounge.
“You’re not lacking. If anything, I…” He stops, then scoffs under his breath. “Forget it.”
You arch a brow, giving him a look that’s soft but inquisitive.
He exhales slowly, shoulders rising and falling.
“I just don’t want you thinking you have to change to earn anything from me.” His jaw flexes slightly. “What I give you, I give because I want to. And I don’t hand that shit out easily, you know that.”
You nod. Words too fragile to speak without cracking. Instead, you shift a little closer—shoulders brushing—and let the comfort of that proximity settle in your bones.
Outside, the snow continues to fall softly against the windows. But inside, inside the common lounge, with its peeling wallpaper and threadbare blankets tossed across old chairs, it feels like the kind of warmth you could actually believe in.
Like maybe, even in a world this broken, you’re not alone.

Drabble Month, Day 2: Pepper ˚⁎⁺ Miche x GN!Reader
CONTENT — Sick fic, fluff, cooking. Written for @thedrabblecollective as part of the AOT Vets Drabble Month. Divider by @cafekitsune.
Tumblr media
Whenever Miche gets sick, you’ve learned that his sense of smell disappears.
Behind you, Miche attempts to fight Mother Nature.
“I can’t smell for shit,” he complains, sniffing the simmering pot.
“My poor baby.”
Miche slides his arms around your waist. “Describe it for me.”
“Soup with carrots.” A kiss lands on your neck. “Mm… onions.” Another. “P-peppers.”
This time, you turn to face him, trying to capture his lips.
Miche stops you. “I don’t want you to get sick.”
“But—“
Miche engulfs you into a warm embrace instead.
You bite down a smile. Fine. For now, this will do.

Helloo, can I request priest! Dan Feng x fem! Demon reader? Where Dan Feng is devoted to his God but ends up being in love towards reader, a demon. But he would never admit his true feelings and was in denial, and that denial led him to go the church to ask for forgiveness from his God like "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned" and just blamed reader for making him fall in love, thinking she puts a spell on him or something. He was concentrating but then reader shows up behind him to annoy him as usual (you can come up with the scenario yourself, but if you can, please make reader have a teasing/flirting side since she's a demon)
‘Lovely Sinner’

chara : Dan Feng
cw : fluff, preist!dan feng, demon!fem reader, mentions of HCQ, modern-ish AU?, mentions of make-up, incorrect displays of Christianity (I’m Muslim lol...), ooohhh a flirtatious reader hehehehehe... Possible OOC with the lovely Dan Feng
a/n : HCQ MENTIONED EVERYBODY STAY CALM... I had 0 expectations when I started this, I HEAVILY doubted myself so try to bear with me here......... Also sorry that this is late!! Been losing motivation recently...
.⋆。⋆˚。⋆。˚。⋆. .⋆。⋆˚。⋆。˚。⋆.
-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈┈✩┈┈┈┈┈𝄞
‘That’s wrong.’ Dan Feng, laying on his bed, thought to himself. Over and over again, thinking about how wrong it is... How wrong it is, that — he, Dan Feng, a priest, has fallen in love with a demon? A demon of all creatures?! He’s a priest, a well respected one at that! You just appeared in his life out of nowhere, and decided to cling yourself onto Dan Feng. For what? He did nothing to deserve it — right?!
Oh but how his heart fluttered everytime he had thought about you. He was in denial, for so, sooooooo long! Now he’s here, laying in his bed as his heart almost leaps out of his throat at the constant thought of holding you! It drives him insane!!
“That’s it. It must’ve been a spell!” He says, getting up from his bed with determination. He needs to go to church, he needs to pray and ask his father above for forgiveness. That was the only logical explanation Dan Feng could think of — of course you casted a spell on him! Surely if he asks God for forgiveness, the spell will be lifted — no?
...
“Heading to church?” Yingxing asked, watching as Dan Feng was heading out. “Yes, I’ll be back as soon as possible.” His voice shaked. He couldn’t let anybody know about his greatest sin. No, not at all. After all, being in love with a demon is a far more grave sin than any other.
“Dan Feng!” You call out to him as he’s about to pray. He decides to ignore you, not even attempting to bat an eye towards you. Which, agitates you, so you call out again. Again, he ignores. He’s too focused on his prayer. He has to ask his father in heaven for forgiveness! He must!
So you stand in front of him, looking directly at his face and interrupt his prayer by slightly pushing him to the side. “You interrupted my prayer.” He scowls at you. You merely scoff in response. “Well, you were ignoring me and my good looks! I had to do something about it.” Your tail peeked out, wagging a little in joy he finally placed some attention to you. Dan Feng caught notice of your tail, and felt a bit flushed. ‘How adorable’ He thought.
And there, oh how the realization hit... You? Adorable? Blasphemy! You’re a demon! Dan Feng is devoted to his God, finding a demon such as yourself adorable is a sin, a tremendous one!
You caught him, a bit flushed, to which you took the opportunity to tease him for it. “Oh? Am I really that irresistible that you can’t help but blush?” You lean closer to him, smirk on your face, his breathing subconsciously stopping. “No, not at all. You never will be.” He refuted. What a blant lie...
You chuckle, causing his heart to skip a beat. “You and your blasted spell...” he mutters under his breath, inescapable to your ears. “Spell? What spell?” You sat yourself besides him, leaning a bit back, using your hands for support.
He stares at you, a bit perplexed. “The spell you casted on me... The one that makes my heart yearn for you.” Yearn for you? This was the first you’ve heard of this... “you’re a demon. You’re capable of such things! You caused my fantasies!” he tried defending himself.
“a spell...? Fantasies...???” you ponder to yourself. Your mind concentrated on wondering ‘what the hell is this guy talking about...?’ he stares at you in anticipation, hoping you would realize and undo whatever spell you casted upon him.
“explain your symptoms — fantasies in more detail.” you ask. In response, he obliges and starts to talk about his symptoms. The symptoms of where he wants to run his fingers through your hair, watch you put on make-up and occasionally help you, hold you as you drift off to sleep in his arms, let you do his hair in whatever style you want — all of it.
You could feel your heart thumping more and more as he continued talking about his ‘symptoms and fantasies’. Your train of thoughts was running wild, until he broke it with one simple sentence. “the spell that caused me to fall in love with you.” he admitted, looking you directly in the eyes which the moonlight was reflecting on. Hell, he looked so pretty...
You forget to speak. Dan Feng, looking down, thinks to himself. Just as you’re about to say something, he cuts it off with a quick kiss. He’s fallen in love, he can’t deny it. “It’s not a spell, is it?” Dan Feng asks you, pulling you closer to him, watching your face slightly blush before you let a grin break free. “Nope, you’re just a dummy in love” you tease. Instead of him getting upset, he grins back — kissing you once again in the church, moonlight falling upon the two of you. “Gorgeous woman, you are, aren’t you?” he surprisingly teases back. Your response being: “a thousand men could die to have me”
———————————
His grin, unfaltering as he kisses your cheek. “yet I am that one alive man, which managed to have you”
HOLY SHIT WHAT WAS THAT?????????????????????????????

The reaction of AOT characters to your relationship with Levi....
1. Erwin
I knew opposite attraction is always the strongest. Since y/n is sweet, friendly, funny and a wholesome person who can heal anyone with her words.... I thought maybe she'll be able to heal Levi's wounded mind too? After all she's a doctor... So I placed her in Levi's squad and ordered him to protect her. I took a bet and it seems like I have won again. I'm happy for both of them.... At least Levi isn't using too much slang or curse words like before. (Chuckle)
2. Hange
Y/n is a clumsy girl... But Levi is an organised one.... I love it that Levi's taking a good care of my bestie. And that y/n is healing both Levi's physical and mental wounds too! I didn't find it shocking at all.... I mean my bestie can make any guy fall in love with her sweet personality. Anyway.... (Psycho smile) I'm just curious about how Levi is in bed.....
3. Mike
Oh that short doctor and Levi? I don't know what to say..... I guess it's their own business that they're in a relationship.... And it wasn't shocking at all.... I've noticed Levi's protective and loving glance towards y/n sometimes..... Well I'm happy for them.... Also... (Chuckle) They smell nice together.
4. Oulo
Damn.... I was so curious one night to check if they really have sex together or not... Guess what? I pressed my ear into the captain's bedroom to hear their moaning sounds... But instead of that I heard the captain's voice telling me to enter his room. I was fucking scared.... As soon as I enter the room and look at him.... I swear I was about to piss myself.... I've never seen heichou glaring that dangerously to anyone or anything for fucks sake! He's voice was calm but there was a dangerous edge in it when he told me to mind my own business. And when I was returning to my room..... I found y/n sensei's door locked.... She was probably sleeping peacefully in her room.... While I pissed myself in my pants... Damn!
5. Gunther
I'm glad they're together.... It was obvious kind of... The captain was always so protective and kind towards y/n.... And y/n Sensei is a the sweetest doctor I've ever seen... Ngl but I've shared some of my miseries with her and she consoled me in the best way possible..... She probably did the same with Levi heichou too.... I can understand why heichou loves her so much.
6. Eld
I'm happy for them... I mean the captain seems more like a human when she's with him. And she always cheers us all up with her wholesome and sweet and energetic mental energy. She's a peace in the Levi's squad... Maybe in the whole scouts.... I'm glad heichou had finally find peace in her and that they're together now.
7. Petra
Y/n Sensei in the best person for heichou.... I'm glad for them. Y/n Sensei even knew that I had a crush on him.... And that I sometimes felt sad that he loves Sensei, not me.... But she consoled me, healed me telling maybe someone better is waiting for me? (Chuckle) She's really a sweet person.... No wonder why heichou is so protective of her.... I even noticed heichou smiling softly at her when she's not noticing.... Or always the peace in his face when she's with him.... She even cured his insomnia.... I'm so happy for heichou.... I'm so glad that he's happy.
8. Eren
Well... (nervous smile) What should I say? I'm happy for them? I mean I don't wanna say anything inappropriate and get kicked by heichou again.... But I'm glad they're in a relationship.... Sometimes we are saved from heichou's wrath for y/n Sensei... Maybe that's a good thing....
9. Mikasa
They deserves each other..... (Calm face)
10. Armin
Yeah I'm happy for them.... But sometimes it feels so weird when captain asks me with his jealous tone why she's so happy when she's bragging about some shitty books with me.... He even gives me some glares sometimes which makes me scared. (nervous chuckle) Maybe he's a bit jealous that y/n Sensei spends a lot of time with me about talking about her favourite books... It's also funny when captain sometimes asks for my suggestions on romantic books.... He's so sweet and even possessive when it comes to y/n Sensei.... I'm glad that they're together.... They complete each other.
11. Jean
Damn.... Why do sweet girls always have to be taken by dangerous scary boyfriends? No, I'm not telling I wanted a chance with Y/n Sensei... She's a lot older than me... But still I don't like the glance heichou gives me when she's joking with me and laughing.... Like he doesn't want to see her laughing with anyone else other than him. (Rolling his eyes) I mean man come on.... I'm not stealing your girl!
12. Sasha
(Cheeky smile) I'm so glaaaaaaad! After all y/n Sensei gives me some opportunity to steal food while keeping the captain busy... I'm so glad they're together really.
13. Connie
I don't know what to say.... They acts like the same even when they're in a relationship.... I never even saw them kissing even once... I mean aren't the couples supposed to kiss and touch each other?
14. Historia
(Smiling happily) I'm so happy they're together.... They seems so happy and cute.... I hope everyone will find happiness like them.... They complete each other..... So cute...
15. Ymir
I wonder when it is the time they fuck each other? I've tried to find out a lot of times but it's a loss project.... I've never even seen them kissing each other.... How that shortie can be so secretive? Also I wonder if he's afraid that he might hurt y/n Sensei while fucking her? I mean maybe yeah.... She's a soft person after all.
16. Reiner
(Mumbling) Well..... If she's gonna make Levi heichou weak, it's gonna be a plus point to us. (Jerking awake) Oh yeah yeah... I'm so happy for them... She's cute and sweet, captain's hot and strong... They're perfect....
17. Annie
Do I look like I give a fuck?
A.N - I used the word Sensei here for y/n because the Japanese people address the doctors as Sensei. Also heichou means captain which I have used for Levi just like Isamaya.
Y/n is a doctor working under the survey corps.... And since I think this role is more suitable for the main female lead.... So I'll always be making her a doctor.... But If you guys request me to change her.... I'll do that too.
Also English is not my first language.... So I may have made some mistakes... Please be kind and let me know if I'm wrong through the comments.... Also since it's my first time writing something.... I guess I haven't succeeded in making it a good one but I tried.... Also I tried to maintain the character's personality too.... I would love to hear your opinions on them if you think I'm making some mistakes in maintaining their personalities.... Please let me know.... My inbox is always open for you all 🩷
Finally.... Have a nice day ya all!

As the light of a new day peeks through the window, you yawn and blink open your eyes. Smiling you turn to your partner, only to frown instead, finding the bed empty.
Odd, it isn't like you to sleep past him. What time is it anyway?
Just as you turn again to look at the clock you hear shuffling from the hallway and soon he steps into the doorway of the bedroom.
"Morning!" You say cheerfully, removing the blanket, going to get out of bed.
Apparently that is not the plan though, because with his eyes still closed he makes his way to his side of the bed and falls in with a groan.
He is not a morning person.
You smile and shimmy back into bed, stroking his cheek.
"I just had to use the bathroom." He mumbles, sounding like he never woke up.
"Well now that you're awake, I'll go make you breakfast." You say, leaning in to kiss his cheek.
Before you can even turn a strong arm gets hold of you, and you are not going anywhere.
With a tiny laugh you try to pull out of his grip around your body. "Come on now."
He shakes his head and furrows his brow. "No." And his hold tightens.
"No? You don't want breakfast?" You ask softly, kissing his nose playfully.
You don't even get a response, his breathing steadying as he tries to fall back to sleep quickly.
You let out a contented sigh, looking at your lovers relaxed facial features and feeling his body language.
"You can sleep, it's okay, I'll do something else in the meantime until you're ready to get up." You don't mind letting him sleep.
"Just stay." Is his final answer, and with that he tucks you further into his body, assuring you will not be going anywhere.
With a soft chuckle, you don't fight it anymore and snuggle into his chest.
"Okay love, you win." You close your eyes and are soon lulled to sleep by his beating heart.
A tiny smile appears on his lips as you both sleep the morning away.
You both agree that any time you get to spend in each others arms, is something you'd always look forward to.

A thank you to @charlotteplsdosth for this reversal idea, I hope it's a bit of a comeback, however small :)

Your sparring post w/ levi finished me off 😭 would u ever consider doing similar stuff for Miche? I love the idea of sparring with him n havin to deploy some seductive techniques to distract him except u actually really like him n it works
Sparring 2.0 | CanonAU Drabble
☾ Pairings ➼ Miche Zacharius x gn!Reader
☾ Content/Warnings ➼ fighting, sexual tension, established-ish relationship?, suggestive themes?
☾ A/N ➼ HI! Okay sorry this took so long, I've had the worst bout of reverse imposter syndrome?? Idk if that's even a thing, I just know it was very disorienting to bring up Levi and NOT write about him haha. But I really enjoyed this as a writing exercise, it really brought me out of my comfort zone. The worst thing about how little time we got with Miche is how we don't have a lot to go on with his character. So with that said, this is kind of how I see him and I hope that's okay!!
☾ Word Count ➼ ~1.1k
Tumblr media
The mid-afternoon sun bares down on your already sun-kissed face while you watch your boyfriend get his ass kicked by Captain Levi from the fence separating the barracks and training grounds. Miche Zacharius towered over Levi by a good foot and then some, so you couldn't help but laugh out loud when Levi slams Miche into the ground with an arm pinned behind him.
"Are they at it again?" Nanaba leans against the fence next to you, staring into the pit with an amused smile.
"Yeah. Ever since Levi took his place as 'Humanity's Strongest Soldier'," you use air quotes as you speak, shooting Nanaba a matching smile. "Miche has been trying to prove something."
"Prove what? That he’s shit at fighting?" Her comment makes you snort.
“Oh I'm so telling him you said that." You jokingly chide, bumping into her shoulder affectionately.
"Telling who what?” Miche's sudden voice startles you but you're quick to hide your surprise with a teasing smile. He stands in front of you with only the fence separating you two. With his height compared to you, he makes the perfect sun-shield.
"Nothing. Are you two done?" You look around him to see an empty pit, no captain in sight.
"Levi said he needed to make sure his squad cleaned the stables correctly." Miche says as he pulls up the bottom of his shirt to dab at the sweat that drips down his face. You can't keep your gaze from sliding down his toned abs and blonde happy trail as he does so. "Nanaba, did you get those reports on my desk yet?” He drops his shirt much to your dismay.
"On my way to do that now, Sir." She smirks as she gives a half-assed salute then turns and leaves. When she's gone, you look back up to Miche with a cheeky grin.
"How do you get your squad to listen to you right away?” You arch an eyebrow at him.
“They know I’ll kick their ass if they don’t.” His response makes you chuckle.
“Nanaba didn’t seem too terrified of you.” He gives you a lopsided grin before sliding his fingers down your face then under your chin, tilting it up to face him better with your chin now trapped between his thumb and forefinger. He leans down as if to kiss you but stops abruptly, his face hovering right above yours.
"Hmm. Are you?" He traces your bottom lip with his thumb as he eyes your most likely dazed face. His expression is hard to read.
"Should I be?" You swallow hard. He only hums and leans in more.
Miche was never this forward, and by the time you realize his true purpose, it was too late. He grabs you by the waist and wrist then flips you over him into the pit. You've always been known for your agility so you were able to land without issue. The issue was the fact that your 6'4" boyfriend came barreling down at you the second you did.
"Miche, what the-" You barely duck out of the way in time. A rush of wind hits your face from a missed punch. It wasn't as fast as you'd expect from him, which you were grateful for. You jump back to give yourself some space but he fills it just as quickly, putting himself in an offensive stance. You only have time to cross your arms in front of your chest before his knee makes contact. A dull pain makes its way up your arms.
Throwing your whole weight back, you backflip out of the way and feel your feet kick something. Good. If you could just get a little more distance… but it seems like Miche knows your fighting style inside and out because he doesn’t give you a chance to think. He throws up another punch in which you counter it with your forearm, using this moment to pull your knee up into his groin.
As always, he expects it and moves a leg back to avoid your strike. With one swift motion, he grabs your thigh and pulls up which knocks you off balance and you hit the ground with a slam. You’re gasping for air when he pulls himself on top of you and pins your wrists above your head with his knees on both sides of your right leg.
“Ready to give up, yet?” He grumbles down at you.
“H-” You attempt to move an arm and notice there’s quite a bit of give. “Hardly. Why are you going so easy on me?” You quip back, a smirk tugging at your lips. His body shakes above you as he laughs.
“That’s not what you said last nig-” You lean forward to close the distance and lock your lips onto his, cutting him off mid-sentence. He’s so taken aback by the sudden movement, but you feel him relax which is exactly what you were hoping for.
As quickly as possible, you pull your arms out of his grips. This causes an imbalance in his stance, which you were happy to take advantage of. You wrap your legs around him and twist to the side at the same time that you use your hands to push him. He falls without resistance. When you both land, he’s now flat on his back with you straddling his chest with your full weight. You pin his arms to the side and smile down at him innocently.
“Are you sure you’re humanity’s second strongest? We might have to move you down the list.” You chuckle down at him.
“To my defense, I just sparred with Levi.” He grumbles back.
“And yet you still picked a fight… and lost.”
“Okay, okay. Yes, you win. This time.” You lean down to kiss him again, this time with no ulterior motive. After a moment, you break away and sigh. Looking down, you see dirt and dust caking your once pristine civilian clothes.
“Now I need to go clean up. I was headed into town before you decided to beat me up.” With that, you gently pull yourself off Miche and offer a hand for him to help himself up with. He just wipes at the dust on his uniform with his hands, grunting back in response. Turning to leave, you yell over your shoulder as you walk away, “You could help with that, if you want.” A quick pair of footsteps falling in behind you makes you laugh as you lead the way back to the barracks.

Hello!!
So, I've grown obsessed with your writing, and I was hoping to make a request? Would it be at all possible to have something written around fem!YN being involved in a polygamous relationship between Erwin and Mike? I don't have anything in particular in mind for setting, I'd just love to see something written of the three. It can be SFW or NSFW, I don't mind either. I would greatly appreciate it!! 😍
Tumblr media
Tall love
Pairing: Erwin x fem!Reader x Mike
Genre and tags: Modern AU, poly relationship, fluff, romance, protective partners.
Concept: Just some sweet moments with your two men in your sweet poly relationship.
Tumblr media
Erwin crouched down and hummed in thought as he gazed at a ring. "What do you think?"
Mike knelt and stared at the ring. "I think she'll love it."
"I was thinking it too, but it looks expensive."
Mike smirked. "Hm, you're right. She doesn't like us spending too much on her." He tapped the glass. "This one?"
Erwin rubbed his jawline as he thought. "The colour is close to the kind of stones she doesn't like."
Mike laughed. "You're right."
Erwin gasped. "That one."
"I was just about to say."
Erwin stood up with his friend. "This one please."
Mike pulled his wallet out. "We'll go half and half."
Erwin nodded and talked to the seller and paid half then let Mike pay the other half. "Perfect."
Mike walked with Erwin. "We should get her some cakes."
"Oh, you're right." He looked around. "That bakery, she loves that one."
Mike strolled in with Erwin behind him. He chatted and talked to Erwin as people gazed in awe at the two of them due to their charm and height. Both men were like walking Greek Gods to those around them. They didn't know the hold they had on others or their interest in them because they were so focused on you.
They paid what they needed to and walked and laughed together as they went to Erwin's car. They sat together as they made plans for a holiday to book so they could have some peace from work and they could spoil you. You were their everything and they just wanted you to smile and be happy.
Mike smirked. "I've been thinking about her all day."
Erwin's cheeks burned. "Me too."
"I wonder what she's been up to."
Erwin smiled softly as he thought about all cosy at home. He was sure you'd probably cooked, cleaned and played some games. Erwin and Mike tried hard to spoil you, but you were always spoiling them with the things you did for them and how kind you were. You took great care of your boyfriends.
Mike huffed. "She's so damn cute."
Erwin pulled up and climbed out of his car. "She is." He grabbed the bags and stood in the lift with Mike. "So, this holiday."
"We should go to Greece."
"That's a good plan."
Mike pulled out the key to the door. He opened it and blushed when you came running over. "Kitten."
Erwin smiled. "Pet."
You bounced up and down. "Welcome home!" You jumped at both and giggled when they both held you. You kissed Mike and then Erwin. "I missed you both!" You jumped down and looked up at your tall lovers. "I made a yummy dinner today and I bake a tasty dessert!"
"You take such great care of us."
Mike ruffled your hair. "We have something for you."
"A few things."
You gazed at them with wide eyes. "Really? You didn't need to."
"We want to." Erwin kissed you. "We really do."
Mike picked you up making you squeal. "He's right. Let's sit you down and we'll show you."
Erwin led Mike to the sofa and sat. "We think you'll love it."
Mike sat you on your lap and Erwin put your legs over his thighs. You blushed as both men touched and massaged you. You gasped in delight as Erwin showed you a ring. You offered your hand and smiled as they slipped the ring on.
Mike kissed your neck. "You're all ours."
Erwin smiled. "He's right. We're keeping you as ours and never letting you go."
You giggled as you admired your ring. "Well, I'm more than happy to be with you both for the rest of our lies. I love you both."
"We both love you."
Mike squeezed you. "So very much."
"We got you baked treats, but you've made a dessert. We'll save these."
You pouted. "You both spoil me so much." You patted your cheeks and sighed. "I should give you both lots of kisses."
Mike smirked. "You should."
You leaned over and kissed Erwin first as Mike massaged your chest. You pushed your tongue into Erwin's mouth as he reached around and grabbed your ass roughly. You pulled back and moaned in delight. You squeaked as Mike pulled you to him and kissed you roughly.
Erwin shifted on the sofa. "I think we should show our delicious pet how much we love her, don't you?"
Mike nipped your ear. "Oh, I really do. Are you hungry for us kitten?"
Your legs shook as you felt arousal build up. "Y-Yes. I need you both."

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: when you forget to bring your jacket, an unlikely hero comes to your rescue; is there more to his chivalrous action than meets the eye?
pairing: kaiser x gn! reader
warnings: fluff, kaiser being kaiser; i’m still on hiatus but i have to free this idea from my mind or it won’t let me go, also i thought it was super fun when they spoke german in the manga so here we are
blue lock masterlist
Tumblr media
“Is it me or is it chillier than normal in here?” You asked, rubbing your palms over your goosebump-ridden arms. As an assistant manager, you’d been next to the pitch more often than you could count, but on this day it seemed like someone turned up the AC.
“Hm, dunno. Seems normal to me,” Kurona said after contemplating for a few seconds. “You’re not getting sick, are you?”
“I don’t feel like it, no,” you wondered aloud as you watched the Bastard München and FC Barcha players walk onto the court. As much as you’d hate to miss the beginning of the Neo Egoist League, perhaps you should make the track back to your room. “I think I’ll go grab my jacket—“
Your sentence was cut off by fabric covering your head, making you flinch in the sudden darkness.
“Hier, nimm meine. (Here, take mine.)” A voice that had quickly become familiar since the foreign teams were introduced passed by and when you lifted the front of the jacket, you found none other than Michael Kaiser in your field of view. As usual, he was looking rather smug for no reason whatsoever.
Still, he was one of the last people you’d expect to help you out, so the raise of your eyebrow was somewhat inevitable.
“Versteh mich nicht falsch, (Don’t get me wrong,)” he continued, cerulean eyes trained on you, “ich mach das nur, dass du von Anfang an zusehen kannst, wie ich Blue Lock vernichte. (I’m only doing this so you can watch from the beginning as I crush Blue Lock.)
“Und da ich sowieso nicht auf die Bank gehöre, macht’s mir nichts aus, wenn jemand meine Jacke aufwärmt. (Also, since I won't be benched anyway, I don’t mind having someone warm up my jacket for me.)” And with that, he sauntered off towards the centre of the field, the self-satisfied grin still tugging on his lips.
“He’s such a jackass,” Raichi scoffed, his jaw locked and a vein protruding from his neck. “Now I wanna play even more, just so I can teach him a lesson.”
“Now now, let’s not get hasty,” you chuckled, holding the Bastard München jacket in your hands. “As much as I understand where you’re coming from, I don’t think it’s a good idea to pick a fight with our guests on the first match day.”
The fact that you knew about the auction system and livestream you’d keep hidden for now.
“While I really don’t like the guy,” Kurona cut in before Raichi could add anything else, “I still think you should wear the jacket. It won’t do anyone any good if you really get sick. You can still go get yours after the match.”
“As much as I hate to admit it, I agree,” Isagi sighed next to him. “It is probably for the best.”
“Fine, fine,” you mumbled, sliding your arms through the comfortable sleeves of Kaiser’s jacket, bunching it up at your wrists so it wouldn’t cover your fingers.
And with that, the whistle signalled the start of the match.
To no one’s surprise, the match was shaping up to be a great one from the start, the quality and speed of the plays upped significantly with the inclusion of the top league players. Though, for some reason or another, you just couldn’t tear your eyes away from München’s number 10, the same number currently decorating your back.
You knew Kaiser was good, considering he was hailed as a prodigy for the New Generation World XI. And yet, seeing him play was a whole different experience from watching the tapes. From his superb ball control to his efficient movements and precise awareness of the field, all culminating in a lightning fast Kaiser Impact, he basically demanded your attention to be on him.
So when his gaze crossed yours after scoring a goal, you felt like you were getting caught red handed by the amused crease of his eyes. With the way heat shot up your body in embarrassment, you might not have needed his jacket anymore.
By the end of the match, your brain felt as tired as if you had played yourself, trying to keep up with the new level to which football at Blue Lock had been raised. Subsequently, you zoned out for most of Ego’s explanation of the auction system, only to zone back in as Kaiser’s 300 million Yen bid was displayed for everyone to see. And while you swallowed hard at that number, the striker in question seemed rather unfazed.
Instead, he sauntered over to where you were standing, still wearing his jacket. You were halfway out of the garment already when he came to a halt in front of you, his long fingers tangling in the fabric to keep it wrapped around your shoulders.
“Hast du nicht gesagt, dir ist kalt? (Didn’t you say you were cold?)” He asked, blue eyes sparkling down at you with an unreadable expression. “Behalt sie an. Zumindest bis du deine eigene holst. (Keep it on. At least until you get your own.)”
“What? No!” You protested, further trying to shrug off the jacket. Despite shoving it back down to where it came from, a small part of you agreed with him, not wanting to give it back quite yet. “You need it more than I do!”
“Hm? Es ist süß, dass du dich um mich sorgst, (It’s cute that you’re worried about me),” he teased, amusement written all over his face, “aber es ist wirklich unnötig. (but, really, it’s unnecessary.)”
“Absolutely not! If you get sick because of me, I’ll never hear the end of it,” you groaned, finally wrestling yourself out of his jacket and shoving it in his arms. “So just take the damn jacket, Kaiser.”
“Nenn mich einfach Michael, okay?) Just call me Michael, alright?)” One finger tilted up your chin, so you wouldn’t avoid meeting his gaze any longer. “Immerhin kennen wir uns gut genug, dass du dir meine Jacke leihst. (After all, we’re close enough for you to borrow my jacket.)”
“Whatever you’re trying to play here, cut it out!” Before he could have a chance to feel the heat rising to your cheeks, you whirled around to make a swift exit and get your thoughts in order again.
In that moment, you were so distracted by the blond, you’d forgotten the whole world could see you wearing his name on your back. You’d later be reminded of it when seeing comments flooding social media, cooing about the gesture or speculating about your relationship with one another. But that was still far from your mind at present, which was still trying to figure out his reasons for behaving like he did.
Meanwhile Kaiser, who watched you retreat into Blue Lock’s hallways, couldn’t stop the smile from tugging at his lips. Perhaps someone here was worthy of devoting his time to after all.

I Think I Wanna Marry You
Pairing: Levi x fem!reader
Warnings: fluff, light angst but it’s a happy ending, levi being nervous about proposing.
Summary: You take great care of Levi, you always have. When Hange reveals your intentions of marriage to him, Levi does everything he can to make it happen- just be sure to add a few bumps.
So I know I promised this Levi fic out yesterday, but sadly life got in the way. My bad for any mistakes, I wanted to post this asap. ANYWAYS, I kinda got carried away with the original idea and went super wordy with it, so enjoy a longer fic <3
Tumblr media
Making your way outside was a struggle. Your vision was slightly obscured from the various items held in your arms.
“Excuse me.” You said as multiple scouts dodged out of your way. Some of them chuckled at you and others offered you help.
“You got it, (l/n)?”
“All good!”
Your boots scuffed across the dirt path as you walked carefully to the training grounds. The sounds of grunts and shuffling filled through your ears as you approached the open ground. You set the items down gently on the floor, careful not to knock anything over.
Taking a seat next to the pile, you rested your arm on your propped up leg, taking in the scenery in front of you.
Your eyes scanned over the crowd of soldiers sparring with each other until they settled on one.
His scouts jacket was set on a nearby bench and his white button up was untucking slightly from his movements. Sweat beaded down his face and his hair was swaying back and forth in front of his face.
The sun was brutally beating down on the grounds and you never understood how they could train so heavily in the scorching heat.
Levi was training with Miche. The two men, although different in size, were evenly matched. Miche threw a fist at Levi, but he quickly retaliated by knocking his arm away and sending a powerful kick to his abdomen. Miche grunted from the attack, but quickly straightened up as Levi charged at him once more.
The men threw hits back and forth until Levi managed to knock Miche off balance. Levi sent his leg to the back of Miche’s knee before jabbing his elbow on his back. The tall man hit the ground with a grunt.
“It’s not even a fair fight anymore.” Levi said, holding a hand out to help him up.
Miche chuckled and took it. “Let’s not forget I’m the one who kicked your ass first.”
Levi scoffed at his response, but he couldn’t deny it. He gave it his best, but Miche did manage to take him down in the Underground.
Miche wiped the dust from his uniform and met your watching eyes. He nodded his head at you and Levi turned around, looking at your sitting figure just feet from him.
You smiled at Levi as he approached you, a more mellow look on his face. “What are you doing here? I thought you had paperwork to finish.”
“I did, but I finished early and wanted to see you.” Standing up, you turned to the pile you brought with you. “Here.”
“What’s all this?” His steel eyes scanned over the pile.
“I got you some water.” You handed him the jug, which he graciously accepted. “Then I brought you a towel.”
Again, he took the item.
“And some food in case you were hungry.”
“(Y/n).” Levi started, but you rambled on, pulling out various items.
“I didn’t know if you were getting sunburned or not, so I also brought some of that cooling balm from the market.”
“(Y/n).”
“Oh! I also brought some of that bug spray Hange made. I know the mosquitos are brutal this time of year-”
“(Y/n), darling.” Levi said firmly. You paused mid sentence and looked up at him. “I appreciate it, believe me I do, but you didn’t need to do all this.”
“But I wanted too.” You answered back.
Levi chuckled. “I can see that. How on earth did you carry everything?”
Shrugging, you wrapped the towel around his neck and used the end to wipe the sweat off his face. Then you opened the cooling balm and slathered some of the goo on your fingers. “I have my ways.”
Before Levi could speak up, your fingertips attacked his face and started spreading the balm on his reddened cheeks and nose.
You notice a few scouts staring at your actions. Clearly trying not to laugh at their strong Captain getting pampered. “The hell are you staring at? Get back to training!”
The scouts quickly ducked their heads and walked away.
“I don’t need all this, darling.” He insisted.
“Your face says otherwise.” You smiled. “Finish your water.”
Levi wrapped an arm around you waist and pecked your cheek. “Thanks.”
————
After a brutal day of training and working on the new scout formation with Erwin, you were beat. You settled into your sleepwear for the night and made your way to Levi’s office, a tray of tea balanced in your hand.
Your knuckles wrapped against the door briefly before you shoved the door open, taking a second to rebalance the tray of very hot tea. Levi was doing his infamous resting face as he saw your figure unceremoniously enter the room.
“Tch, I could’ve been in a meeting.”
You walked over to his desk and placed the tray down. Setting a cup in front of him, you carefully poured him his tea. “Yeah, and…? The higher ups love me.”
“If you say so.”
You shot him a playful glare and he gave you a small smile in return. He picked up his tea from the top of the cup and brought it to his lips.
“Careful, it’s hot.” You warned him.
“Really? I couldn’t tell with the all the steam.”
“Okay, Mr. Grumpy, finish your tea and we’ll head to bed. I’m tired.” You poured a small amount of milk into your own cup, stirring it gently with a small spoon, a gentle clinking sound echoing in the room.
Levi took a sip and placed the cup down, picking up his pen and scribbling his signature down on a few spots. “I’m not stopping you, darling. If you’re tired, go to bed. You know I don’t go to bed at a decent hour.”
“Yeah, that’s gonna change.” You said nonchalantly and took a small sip. “Finish up, cause we’re going to bed in 20 minutes.”
“Darling-”
“No, I want to try something.” You cut him off.
Levi let out a small sigh, but nonetheless nodded at you. “Alright.”
After about 15 minutes, Levi shuffled his papers together and placed your empty cups back on the tray.
“C’mon.” His hand grasped yours and he led you to his quarters. The room was very simple and tidy, not a speck of dust either. You looked at the small bookshelf in the corner of the room filled with countless romance novels you recommended to him.
“Did you read ‘Just Us’ yet?” You asked and settled into his bed, the scent of fresh linen filling your nostrils. The book was laying on the nightstand, the bookmark peeking out of the bottom of the book.
“I started it, but haven’t had time to finish it.” He said and started to undress.
“You should! It’s about a young couple that fell in love instantly and their life- oh my god, the wedding scene! Ahh~” You rolled across the bed and draped an arm frantically over your forehead.
Levi deeply chuckled at you. “Yes, you’ve told me countless times about it.”
“Yeah, cause you should read it.” You rolled your eyes.
“I will, I will. Now, what did you want to try?” Levi sat on the edge of the bed and turned towards you, now dressed in more comfortable clothes.
“Come here.” You quickly sat up and made grabby hands towards him. Levi obeyed and sat closer in front of you.
“Now what?”
“Lay down.”
“Darling, I cuddle you, not the other way around.” Levi crossed his arms.
“Shut up, you old man. Just do what I say.”
Levi scoffed and hesitantly laid down against you. His head was leaning on your chest as you sat up against the headboard and shuffled under the blankets.
Levi was stiff against you, clearly not used to the position.
“Relax, Lee.” Your hand brushed through his hair, trailing down his undercut. “Close your eyes.”
So he did. He let his eyes drop shut and focused on trying to fall asleep. The steady beating of your heart lulling him into a relaxed state.
He threw an arm around your stomach and pulled his body closer to yours. You tried not to coo at the sight and continued trekking your fingers through his hair. Levi seemed to like the gesture and you thought if he was a cat, he’d be purring up a storm.
The room was silent as you picked up the book on the nightstand, your hand fumbling to set up the book in a way without disturbing Levi.
Flipping through the chapters, you found your favorite part. The wedding.
Levi was snuggled up against you, soft snores escaping his lips as he was clearly knocked out.
Idiot. Watch me find out he’s a bottom, too.
You read through the book, the vivid detail and dialogue playing out perfectly in your head. You could only hope it could be you and Levi in the novel.
The main character reminded you so much of Levi. Very strong and intimidating, until he met the love of his life.
After the ceremony, the couple in the novel secretly snuck out into the garden of their reception. A stolen dance away from everyone else. The scene was intimate and private as the couple swayed under the moonlight. Drunken laughter heard from inside their venue, but they didn’t care. Their dance was something you only dreamt of with Levi.
“Maybe one day.” You murmured, now very sleepy. Sagging down against the headboard, you pulled Levi tighter against you and shut your eyes.
——————
“You seem well rested.” Hange commented at Levi. She was right, while he still remained his usual self, he was more relaxed and not so much on edge.
“(Y/n) helped me sleep last night at a decent hour.” He replied and looked over some of Hange’s notes.
Hange hummed in response.
“You know she wants to marry you, right?” They said.
Levi froze in place, his eyes widening at the comment. “W-what?”
“Don’t act stupid, Levi. I knew you were a guy, but I still thought you were one of the few that had a brain.” Hange laughed at the stiffened man, their smile faltered slightly as he didn’t seem to relax. “You did know that, right?”
“I-uh. W-well-” Levi couldn’t find the words. “How do you know?”
“Cause she told me.” Hange replied, sticking their face in their microscope, analyzing some new Titan sample.
“When?”
“A few weeks ago.”
“And you’re just telling me now?” Levi said clearly irritated.
“Damn, shorty, I thought you knew. That girl loves you to death. Have you seriously never thought about it?”
Of course he has. He’s thought about it every day. Levi was hesitant, though. Not about wanting to marry you, just scared something bad will happen after everything he’s been through. Everything he’s loved in his life was brutally ripped from him, so he’s always carried that fear inside of him.
“I have- I do want to marry her.”
Hange smiled at him. They rolled their eyes and gave out a loud laugh. “Then what the hell are you waiting for?! Get to it.”
—————
“Levi, I bought some of those nice smelling oils you like. Ya know the ones from that small shop in town?” You opened the small bag and set the vials on his desk.
Levi didn’t look up from his papers, a small hum leaving his lips as he was clearly not paying attention.
“Lee, you okay?” You asked and tilted your head at him, you noticed he tensed up as you got closer to him.
“Mhm.” He didn’t look up, his eyes still scanning through the papers.
“You sure? You seem distracted.”
He let out a heavy sigh and his hard eyes met yours. “I’m fine, just trying to work, (Y/n).”
Your shoulders sagged at his tone, clearly confused. “Maybe you’re just stressed. Do you want to head to bed? You slept so good the other night, like you woke up and your hair was sticking-”
“Trying to work, (Y/n).” He repeated sternly, making you frown.
“O-oh. Okay, I’ll leave you alone, then.” You said quietly and reached for the vials set on his desk.
Putting a few back in their bag, your hand grazed the last one when it fell forwards and collided with the ground.
The small glass jar shattered upon impact, making Levi’s eyes scan to the mess now on the floor. You flinched at the sound and quickly bent down the pick up the broken jar, nose wrinkling as the strong scent invaded your nostrils.
“Shit, sorry.”
Levi abruptly stood up, the chair screeching against the floorboard and his hand reached up to touch his forehead. “(Y/n)…”
Your eyes met his from the floor.
“I’m trying to work. Please just go.”
“I know, I’m leaving. I just thought these would cheer you up.”
Levi rolled his eyes and opened the window behind his desk. “Yeah, and now I’m going to have a headache from the oils scent. Thank you.”
Your lip wobbled at his words, clearly feeling hurt by his annoyed mood. “Look, I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but you don’t have to take it out on me.”
“I’m trying to work! For gods sake, (Y/n).”
You stood up from your spot on the floor and bit your lip in a weak attempt to not cry. “You don’t have to be an asshole.”
Turning on your heel, you made your way to leave the room. A body suddenly blocked the doorway and you glanced up, before ducking your head down and brushing past him.
“Commander Erwin.”
Erwin looked at you with a confused expression and tried to ask what happened as he noticed the tears escaping your eyes, but you quickly left before he could.
His gaze looked towards Levi and then the broken vial on the floor, a stern look adorning his features. “Care to explain?”
Levi let out yet another sigh and angrily rushed a hand through his raven hair. “I’m stressed out and I took it out on her.”
Erwin let out a ‘hmph’ at Levi’s explanation. “She’s just trying to help you.”
Levi knew that. Of course he knew that. Everything he’s been doing has been stressing him out lately trying to make everything perfect for you.
Yeah, you were right, he was an asshole. Levi reached into his drawer and pulled out a rag. He crouched down to the spill and covered the liquid. “I know, I just don’t want her to find out. I left the fucking book on the desk and I thought she’d see it.”
Levi removed a few papers off his desk and revealed the open book of ‘Just Us’ flipped to the wedding chapter. He had several lines were underlined and circled with details annotated.
Erwin shut the door behind him and stepped closer, letting out a grim chuckle. “Well, you certainly took care of that, didn’t you?”
“Tch.” Levi glared at the commander. “What the hell are you doing here anyways? It’s late.”
Erwin pulled out a a few papers folded together. A letter. “I managed to get in contact with the jeweler. Told him about the rather sad income out soldiers receive along with your story.”
Levi crossed his arms hardened his gaze. “So you made me out as some basket case?”
“Not necessarily. It doesn’t matter, what matters is that he cut the price in half.” Erwin handed Levi the papers. Levi tore the papers from his grasp them and scanned over the writing, his eyes widened as he read through.
“He wants me to pick it up in the morning.” Levi whispered and felt his hands getting clammy. This was it. Tomorrow morning he’d have the ring.
The ring he picked out for you, his future wife.
———
“Levi?” You knocked on the door to his office.
You woke up to an empty bed this morning and you thought he was still mad at you from last night, so you made him some tea as a peace offering.
No answer. You opened the wooden door to the room, the loud creaking ringing out in the empty room.
“He’s not here.” You recognized Erwin’s voice from behind you. You jumped at his words, not expecting him to appear behind you.
Your hand rebalanced the sloshing cup of tea in your grip. “Where is he?”
“He went into town.”
For what? Levi never really liked to venture into the city on his own and if he did, he always took you with him. You knew he’d much rather prefer a nice stroll in the forest or around the courtyard, so hearing this was a surprise. “Oh, alright. Would you like some tea, sir? I’d hate to see it go to waste.”
Erwin nodded and took the cup from you and set a hand in your shoulder. “Are you okay? You looked rather upset last night.”
You stiffened at his question and nodded your head. “Y-yeah. Sorry about that, sir. We kind got into it.”
The commander gestured for you to walk with him and so you did. The halls were mostly empty, only a few scouts lingering before starting their daily duties. “Stop with the formalities, (Y/n). You don’t have to apologize for your feelings. He’s under a lot of stress right now and I had sent him to go meet up with some of the MP’s.” The lie easily slipped off his tongue as you both stopped in front of his door.
“I understand he’s stressed,” you started and turned the corner to his office. “I just don’t want him to feel like he can’t talk to me about it.”
Erwin took out the key to his office and unlocked the door. “If I know Levi, he doesn’t want his own stress to add on to yours.” The door opened with a loud creak. Give him some time to cool off and figure things out. You didn’t do anything wrong, please don’t forget that.”
His words brought you a sense of calming. It was nice to hear it from someone else. But until Levi wasn’t upset, you’d continue to think otherwise.
“Thank you, Erwin.” You smiled up at him through watery eyes.
“Of course, my office is always open when you need me.” He gestured to the opened door, making you laugh. “Why don’t you go help Miche? He’s dealing with the new squads and you know how hard he can be.”
“Yes, sir.”
—————
The day dragged on slowly with your mind being clouded on Levi. You weren’t mad at him, just concerned. Both of you had worked so hard to communicate your feelings and concerns throughout your relationship so that situations like this wouldn’t happen.
“Squad 3 advance in! Give Squad 1 their chance to recover!” Miche shouted at the training soldiers. The squads were practicing with some of the new Titan dummies, thanks to Hange and some of the Garrison soldiers, they were able to have more movement and spin on the mechanisms. It gave training more of a purpose since they weren’t just stiff pieces of wood anymore.
You stood next to Miche, surprised by the new recruits. “What do you think of them?” You asked.
“They’re good, still need work though. They won’t be truly ready until they’re face to face with the real thing.” His arms were crossed and a hardened expression carried on his face.
You nodded at his words and a small silence washed over you both as you continued with training.
“Are you going to address the elephant in the room?”
“We’re outside.”
“Don’t be a smartass, you know what I mean.” He gave out a small chuckle.
“Erwin?” You asked and sighed when the man nodded. “Dammit.”
“Everything okay?” Miche always treated you like a little sister. Watching out for you and being protective before you and Levi had started dating. Miche wasn’t too happy when he found out you liked him and knowing how Levi could be, but as he saw how Levi was allowing himself to become closer with you, he eventually pushed you two together.
“Yeah, I guess I just caught him at a bad moment.” Shrugging it off, you tried to downplay the situation. The more you talked about it, the more it wracked your brain.
“Still doesn’t excuse it though, (Y/n).” He replied, voice now more serious. “Just give me the signal and I’ll beat his ass.”
You laughed. “Didn’t he kick you to the floor the other day?”
Miche’s response made you squeal as he wrapped an arm around your neck and dragged his knuckles across your hairline. “Ah, I’m sorry!”
—————
Levi hands felt clammy, he was nervous. Very nervous. He was walking through the halls at a brisk pace, desperate to find you.
The small velvet box in his pocket felt like it weighed a hundred pounds as it gently bumped against his thigh with every step.
Levi took a deep breath and knocked on your door. A faint ‘come in’ was heard and he pushed the door open slowly.
“Levi?”
His steel blue eyes met yours hastily. You were still in your casual clothes, your sleepwear in your hands.
“I-I, uh. Shit.” He muttered, losing his confidence.
“Is everything okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost, want me to put some tea on?” Concern was laced with your voice.
Fuck, how the hell were you so sweet to him? Even after he snapped at you last night for no reason, you still found a way to take care of him. Swallowing the bile in his throat, Levi straightened his posture.
“No, darling, I’m alright.” He made his way over to you and he took both of your hands in his. You gave Levi a concerned face, why was he acting so strange?
“(Y/n)…” Levi started, thumbs nervously rubbing over the back of your hands. “Listen, I need to apologize for last night. I was being a jerk and you didn’t do anything for me to speak to you in that way.”
His thumb then trailed over to your left ring finger. The area naked and bare, but not for long, he hoped.
“Aw honey, why do you look so distressed? It’s okay.” Your gaze softened and you reached up to rub your thumb against his cheek, you raised a brow when you realized his face had a thin layer of sweat. “Erwin told me everything.”
Levi almost choked on his spit and his eyes widened. “H-he what?”
“Yeah, he told me how he had to send you in town for all those errands with the MP’s. I’d be mean about it too.”
Oh, thank god.
Levi let out a sigh in relief. “N-no, that’s not w-why-shit.”
You started to become concerned for him. The poor guy was starting to sweat and now he’s stuttering. He only did that when he’s nervous.
“Levi, I need you to be honest with me right now, you’re letting your thoughts get the best of you. What is going on?” Now your own thoughts started to haunt your mind. “Are you…”
Oh god, you didn’t even want to finish your sentence, afraid it going to be true.
“Are you breaking up with me?”
“Oh, no- god, fuck no.” Levi quickly reassured you. He wrapped his arms around your frame and pulled you close to him. Your arms remained at your side. You were beyond confused on what was happening. “Just come with me outside, it’s like a sauna in here.”
Levi knew you were getting really suspicious now, hell it was the middle of autumn and it left the stone castle feeling like an ice tundra, but he couldn’t help the way his cravat suddenly felt like it was suffocating him.
Leading you through the hallway, his hand never left yours, and neither did the puzzled look on your face. You thought it was going to be a simple apology, he literally just gave it to you, but for some reason he’s dragging it out.
The chilly air surrounded your figure, making you instantly shiver. The breeze was light, but the air cold. Levi was sure to cool down in this weather. The full moon lit up the base with hues of blue casted shadows. The crickets and cicadas chirped their songs along with the rustling of dead leaves as they plummeted to the earth.
“Here, darling.” Levi said and draped his jacket over your shoulders, you graciously accepted it. The man now stood in front of you in just his white button up and black slacks.
“Okay, sorry about that whole mess back there.” A slight red tinted his face. “I’m nervous about this.”
“What-?”
“I love you, so fucking much. I was scared as hell when we first got together, because I was afraid you’d leave me like everyone else. Besides, Miche made it very clear he didn’t like me.”
You let out a small giggle at his words, and he continued.
“Eventually he came around, and surprisingly enough everyone supported us. Sure, a bit of teasing here and there but that’s the fun part. Anyways- fuck, sorry, I don’t mean to keep rambling on. What I’m trying to say is Hange told me that you said you’ve been thinking about marriage-”
Your eyes widened and you mouth dropped open. Dammit Hange. This could go one of two ways…
“And so have I.” His finger reached up to your chin and pushed your mouth closed. “It hasn’t left my mind since I realized I love you, and I was scared you weren’t ready yet, but hearing it gave me all the reassurance I needed.”
Levi’s hands patted the pockets of his slacks and he could swear his stomach dropped 6 feet when he couldn’t find the small box. His gaze suddenly shifted to his jacket you had wrapped around your shoulders. With an awkward reach and a disappointed sigh, Levi reached into the coat pocket and pulled out the box.
“The reason we got into a fight yesterday was entirely my fault. Erwin lied to cover for me, I went into town for this and I was trying to work on the proposal and there were things on the desk that might have spoiled it.”
You gasped and covered you mouth with your hands when you saw the velvet box. There’s no way. Tears immediately welled in your eyes as he opened the ring box.
It was stunning, a silver band with a glimmering diamond in the center along with smaller diamonds strewed around the bands.
“Now, there’s about a thousand different ways I wanted this to happen, but I wanted to do this now. I need you to know that I will always love you. No matter what stupid fights we have, no matter who is angry at who, I’m here for it… all of it. You care for me so much, as I do you and no one has ever treated me as kindly as you have. So I ask you…”
Levi dropped down to one knee, his fingertips brushing against the box. “(Y/n) (L/n), will you marry me?”
You were speechless for a moment, trying to decipher if this was real or not. Sniffling you nodded your head and rushed out your answer.
“Yes, of course.”
Levi slipped the ring on your finger with tears in his eyes and stood back up. His hand brushed away a few tears that escaped down your face.
You pulled him in for a hug and started crying into his shoulder. “I love you.”
Levi pulled you tighter against him, his lips planted themselves across your forehead. “I love you too, darling.”
“I can’t wait to marry you.”

“Your hands are cold.”
Miche holds onto your icy fingers, his lips pressed into a taut line.
You shiver, goosebumps darting beneath your clothes; clearly, you didn’t dress warmly enough for this weather.
“No need to suffer needlessly, baby. C’mon here.”
Miche tugs you close, enveloping you into a warm hug. Your hands find purchase in his sweater, which smells just like him. Pine, cinnamon - home.
“What am I gonna do with you?” he chastises. “You’re not going to survive our trip to the mountains at this rate.”
“Gimme a break. I’ll buy gloves.”
“Oh, I’ll make sure you do.”

Chapter 2: Moving to Monaco
Y/n spent the next few days finalizing her arrangements. Moving to Monaco was a significant step, and she wanted to be well-prepared. She packed her belongings meticulously, making sure to include her favorite books, her design tools, and some comforting items from home.
One of the hardest goodbyes was with her best friend, Emma. They had been inseparable since childhood, sharing countless memories and adventures. As the moving day approached, they decided to spend one last day together, creating new memories to hold onto until their next meeting.
They met at their favorite café in the heart of Stuttgart, Mókuska a cozy place filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of soft chatter. They found a quiet corner and sat down, their favorite drinks in hand.
“Ich kann es nicht glauben, dass du wirklich gehtst, (I can't believe you're really leaving,)” Emma said, her voice tinged with sadness. “Es wird so komisch sein, wenn du nicht mehr immer hier bist. (It’s going to be so weird not having you around.)”
“Ich weiß, (I know,)” Y/n replied, her heart heavy. “Aber wir werden in kontakt bleiben. Vidoe calls, nachichten schreiben, social media - Ich werde dich über alles auf dem laufenden halten. (But we’ll stay in touch. Video calls, texts, social media—I'll keep you updated on everything.)” Y/n had to smile a sad smile back eventhough she was happy for this new chapter in her life leaving the old one behind still hurt. She wouldn't let her friendship with Emma end just because she was leaving the country but she knew it would be hard work for both of them to keep the contact.
They spent the afternoon reminiscing about their adventures, laughing at inside jokes, and promising to visit each other as often as possible. As the sun began to set, they walked to Schlossplatz were ther was a smal park with a small lake in the middle of stuttgart, their steps slow as they savored their last moments together.
Standing by the lake, Emma turned to Y/n, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Ich werde dich so sehr vermissen, (I’m going to miss you so much,)” she whispered.
Y/n pulled her into a tight hug. “Ich werde dich auch vermissen Emmchen. Aber wir veravschieden uns nicht für immer. Es ist nur der Anfang eines neuen Kapitels inunserem Leben. Außerdem sobald ich mich eingelebt halbe kommst du mich natürlich besuchen. (I’ll miss you too, Emmchen. But this isn't goodbye forever. It's just the start of a new chapter for both of us. And as soon as I have settled in you will of course come visit me"
They stood there in silence, holding each other, until the sky turned a deep shade of blue. Finally, they pulled apart, both knowing it was time to say goodbye.
“Versprich mir du rufst mich sofort an wenn du landest. (Promise me you'll call as soon as you land,)” Emma said, her voice trembling slightly.
“Verprochen. (I promise,)” Y/n replied, smiling through her own tears. “Und du musst mich auf dem laufenden halten was hier alles passiert. (And you better keep me updated on everything happening here.)”

Two weeks flew by in a blur of packing, goodbyes, and final preparations. Y/n stood in her now almost empty room in Stuttgart, suitcases by her side. She took a deep breath, feeling a mix of anticipation and nostalgia. This was the start of a new chapter in her life.
As she made her way to the airport, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement coursing through her veins. The thought of leaving behind the comfort of her hometown and stepping into the unknown filled her with a mix of trepidation and exhilaration. Yet, beneath the surface, there was an undeniable sense of eagerness—a palpable excitement for the opportunities that awaited her in Monaco.
Upon arrival at the airport, Y/n's nerves gave way to a surge of adrenaline as she checked in for her flight.
Y/n's family gathered at the airport to see her off. Her mother hugged her tightly, whispering words of encouragement in German, while her father gave her a reassuring pat on the back. "Remember, Y/n, this is an incredible opportunity. We're so proud of you," he said.
Y/n smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Thanks, Dad. I'll make the most of it."The anticipation of stepping onto that plane, bound for a new destination and a new chapter of her life, filled her with a sense of exhilaration that bordered on euphoria.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the plane soared through the clouds, carrying her closer to her destination, Y/n found herself lost in thought. She couldn't help but marvel at the serendipitous twists of fate that had led her to this moment—the chance encounter with the job listing, the nerve-wracking interview, and now, the thrilling prospect of starting anew in Monaco.
______________________________________________________________
Upon landing in Monaco, Y/n's excitement reached a fever pitch. Stepping off the plane and into the warm embrace of the Mediterranean air, she felt a surge of gratitude wash over her. She was ready—ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead, ready to immerse herself in the vibrant culture of Monaco, and most importantly, ready to become an integral part of the Wolff family.
As she made her way through the bustling airport, Y/n's heart raced with anticipation. She couldn't wait to meet Toto, Susie, and Jack, to begin her journey as their nanny, and to embark on this extraordinary adventure together. With each step she took, Y/n felt a sense of excitement and determination building within her—a determination to seize this opportunity with both hands and make the most of every moment.
As she emerged from the airport, Y/n scanned the crowd, searching for a driver holding a sign with her name. Toto had arranged for a driver to pick her up. "Welcome, Miss Müller. I'm here to take you to the Wolff residence," he said politely. Y/n smiled at him. “Its so nice to meet you. Y/n is fine.” She shook his hand.
as she was driven through the streets of Nice over to Monte Carlo, Y/n marveled at the stunning views of the sea and the luxurious yachts in the harbor. The journey wasn’t a long one but long enough for Y/n to think about all the possible scenarios about how the Wolffs would react to her standing before them.
Tumblr media
Suddenly the car stopped by a massive tower block. It looked luxurious. Many cars were standing on the side to the foyer. Among the people walking in and out of the building, Toto was standing. To Y/n surprise he was much taller than she had anticipated sure she had seen some pictures of him online but seeing his height in relive was different than seeing him standing next to other tall people. Slowly she made her way out of the car.
"Welcome to Monaco, Y/n," Toto said warmly, his voice filled with genuine hospitality. "I hope your journey was pleasant."
Y/n felt a wave of relief wash over her at Toto's kind words. "Thank you, Mr. Wolff,” she replied, returning his smile. "The journey was smooth, and I'm thrilled to be here."
Toto nodded, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Please, call me Toto. We like to keep things informal around here, we're delighted to have you join us," he said, gesturing toward the waiting car. "Let me help you with your luggage."
With practiced ease, Toto assisted Y/n in retrieving her suitcases from the car, his strength and agility evident in every movement. As they worked together to unload the bags, Toto engaged Y/n in light conversation, asking about her journey and expressing his excitement at having her as part of the family.
As they finished unloading the luggage, Toto stepped back, a warm smile on his face. "There we go," he said, his tone cheerful. "All set. Now, let's get you settled in. I'm sure Susie and Jack are eager to meet you."
When she arrived at the Wolff residence, Susie was waiting to greet her. "Welcome, Y/n," she said, giving her a warm hug. "How was your flight?"
"It was great, thank you, Mrs. Wolff” Y/n replied, feeling instantly at ease.
"Come on in," Susie said. "I'll show you to your room and then we can have a tour of the house. And please, call me Susie.”
Y/n followed Susie through the beautiful home, taking in the elegant yet cozy decor. Seeing all of the shades of blue that were color accents in their home. Susie led Y/n to her room, which was spacious and bright, with a balcony overlooking the Sea. It felt like a perfect sanctuary.
"We've prepared this room for you. I hope you find it comfortable," Susie said.
"It's perfect, thank you," Y/n replied, placing her bags down.
"Once you're settled, come downstairs. Jack is eager to meet you," Susie said before leaving Y/n to unpack.
As Y/n unpacked, she thought about the journey that had brought her here. From the initial interview to the whirlwind move, everything had fallen into place. She was ready to embrace her new role and the adventures that lay ahead.
______________________________________________________________
After freshening up, Y/n made her way to the living room, where she found Susie and Toto sitting on the couch inviting her to sit next to them.
Suddenly, a door swung open, and the sound of small footsteps echoed through the hallway. Y/n turned to see a young boy with tousled blond hair racing towards her, standing shyly at the doorway, his eyes wide with curiosity and nervousness.
"Jack!" Toto called out with a smile, beckoning the boy over. "Come meet Y/n, your new nanny."
Jack hesitated for a moment, glancing between Y/n and his parents. With a gentle nudge from Susie, he slowly made his way over, his gaze darting up to meet Y/n's.
Y/n crouched down to Jack's level, offering him a warm smile. "Hi, Jack," she said softly. "It's nice to meet you. I heard you love racing cars."
Jack's eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite topic. "Really?" he asked, a hint of excitement creeping into his voice.
"Yes, really," Y/n replied, her smile widening. “I only now started watching it. Do you have a favorite driver?"
Jack's shyness began to melt away as he launched into a spirited discussion about his favorite drivers and cars. "I like Lewis Hamilton," he said, his voice growing more confident. "He's so fast!"
Y/n nodded enthusiastically. "Lewis is amazing! Have you ever been to a race?"
Jack's excitement was palpable now. "Yes! Daddy took me often," he said, looking up at Toto with pride.
Susie and Toto exchanged a pleased look after seeing how easy it was for both of them to connect.
After unpacking and making her room her new home, Y/n joined Toto, Susie, and Jack on the expansive balcony overlooking the breathtaking Monaco skyline.
"Wow, this views amazin'!" Y/n exclaimed, her eyes wide with awe as she took in the panoramic vista spread out before her.
Jack, now more comfortable, eagerly grabbed Y/n's hand. "Come see my secret hiding spot!" he exclaimed, tugging her towards the edge of the balcony.
Laughing, Y/n followed Jack as he led her around the balcony, pointing out his favorite spots and telling her about past adventures. "This is where I like to watch the sunset," Jack declared proudly, gesturing towards a cozy corner with a cushioned seat.
As they settled into comfortable lounge chairs arranged around a small table, the gentle breeze carried the scent of sea air, while the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing backdrop to their conversation.
"So, Y/n, tell us a bit about yourself," Toto said, leaning back in his chair with a warm smile. "What made you interested in joining our family?"
Y/n felt a rush of gratitude at Toto's genuine curiosity. "Well, I've always had a passion for childcare and creating nurturing environments for children to thrive in," she explained. "And the opportunity to work with a family as dynamic and inspiring as yours is truly a dream come true."
Susie nodded in understanding, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "We're thrilled to have you with us, Y/n," she said. "We hope you'll feel right at home here."
______________________________________________________________
As the afternoon wore on, Toto suggested they take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque promenade that lined the Monaco coastline. With Jack skipping ahead, they made their way down to the water's edge, the salty breeze invigorating their senses as they walked.
Jack bounded along the promenade, his excitement palpable as he explored every nook and cranny. "Look, Y/n! I found a seashell!" he exclaimed, holding up a delicate shell for her to see.
Y/n smiled at Jack's enthusiasm, feeling a warmth blossom in her heart. "That's beautiful, Jack," she said, reaching out to ruffle his hair affectionately.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the city, they decided to head back indoors for dinner. With Jack eagerly leading the way, they returned to the elegant dining area outside on the balcony, where a sumptuous spread awaited them.
The table was adorned with crisp linens, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance. Toto and Susie had prepared a feast fit for royalty—a tantalizing array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, from fresh seafood to vibrant salads and decadent desserts.
Tumblr media
As they gathered around the table, Jack couldn't contain his excitement. "This looks amazing! Thank you Mommy.” he exclaimed, his eyes wide with anticipation as he surveyed the feast before him.
As they settled into the cozy ambiance of the dining area, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling within her. The warmth and laughter of the Wolff family enveloped her, making her feel right at home.
"Um, Toto, Susie," Y/n began tentatively, her voice breaking through the lively chatter. "I wanted to ask if it's okay with you if I share bits of our daily life on my social media platforms? I like to document my experiences and share them with my followers, but I want to make sure it's alright with you first."
Toto and Susie exchanged a knowing glance before Toto leaned forward, a thoughtful expression on his face. "We understand, Y/n," he replied, his tone gentle yet firm. "While we respect your desire to share your experiences, we do have some conditions regarding what you can post."
Y/n nodded, eager to hear their conditions. "Of course, I completely understand," she said, her eyes earnest.
"We value our privacy as a family, especially when it comes to Jack," Susie chimed in, her voice soft but resolute. "We ask that you refrain from posting any photos or videos of Jack without our permission."
Y/n nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of respecting Jack's privacy. "Of course, I would never want to infringe on Jack's privacy," she assured them. "I'll make sure to always ask for your permission before posting anything involving him."
Toto and Susie exchanged a satisfied nod, pleased with Y/n's understanding and respect for their wishes. "Thank you, Y/n," Toto said, his tone warm with appreciation. "We appreciate your willingness to respect our boundaries."
With that settled, they returned to their meal, the conversation flowing effortlessly.
The dining room was alive with the sounds of laughter and animated conversation as Y/n, Toto, Susie, and Jack enjoyed their first dinner together. The delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal spread before them was a feast for the senses.
As the meal drew to a close, Y/n felt a sense of excitement bubbling within her. She wanted to capture this moment and share it with her friends and followers back home, but she was also aware of the importance of respecting the Wolff family's privacy. She took a deep breath, deciding to broach the topic carefully.
"Um, Toto, Susie," Y/n began tentatively, her voice cutting through the lively chatter. "I was wondering if it would be alright if I took a candid picture of just the two of you at the table and posted it on my social media? I want to share this wonderful experience with my friends and followers, but I understand if you'd prefer to keep things private."
Toto and Susie exchanged a quick glance. Susie's eyes sparkled with curiosity, while Toto's expression became more thoughtful. He leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming lightly on the table.
"I'm not particularly fond of social media," Toto admitted, his tone measured. "I've always been wary of how much of our private lives are shared online. It can be invasive and sometimes even dangerous."
Y/n nodded, appreciating Toto's honesty. "I completely understand, Toto. I want to respect your privacy and boundaries. I wouldn't post anything without your approval."
Susie reached out and placed a hand on Toto's arm, giving him a reassuring smile before turning back to Y/n. "I think it's okay, Y/n, as long as we're mindful of what we share. How about you take a picture that focuses on us and the ambiance, without giving away too much of our personal details?"
Y/n's face lit up with relief and gratitude. "That sounds perfect. Thank you, Susie."
Jack, who had been listening intently, chimed in with a grin. "Can I be in the picture too?"
Susie chuckled and ruffled Jack's hair. "Maybe next time, sweetheart. Let's let Y/n capture this moment for us.”
Y/n looked over at Jack and smiled. "You know what, little man? How about we take a picture of all of us right after this one, just for the four of us. What do you think?"
Jack's eyes widened with excitement, and he bounced on his toes. "Yes, yes! Let's do it! I wanna be in the picture too!" he exclaimed, clapping his hands.
Y/n quickly retrieved her phone and framed the shot, capturing the beautiful spread of food, the warm candlelight, and the genuine smiles on Susie and Toto's faces as they interacted. She snapped the picture, making sure it conveyed the warmth and elegance of the evening without compromising their privacy.
After taking the photo, Y/n showed it to Toto and Susie. "What do you think?" she asked.
Toto studied the picture for a moment before nodding. "It's nice. You did a great job capturing the atmosphere."
Susie smiled warmly. "I love it. Thank you, Y/n."
"Do you have Instagram?" Y/n asked, feeling a bit bolder. "I'd love to tag you in the post, Susie."
Susie's eyes lit up with interest. "I do, actually. Here, let me find you."
They exchanged Instagram handles, and Y/n felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of staying connected with Susie through social media. She quickly edited the photo, adding a filter that enhanced the warm tones of the candlelight, and posted it with a heartfelt caption about her first dinner with the Wolff family.
Tumblr media
As they settled back into their chairs, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. She had successfully navigated a potentially tricky situation with respect and care, and in doing so, she had forged a deeper connection with Toto and Susie.
"Thank you for being so understanding," Y/n said sincerely. "I really appreciate it."
Toto smiled, his earlier reservations softening. "We appreciate your willingness to respect our boundaries, Y/n. It's important to find a balance."
Susie nodded in agreement. "And we're happy to share these moments with you."
“Thank you guys again for giving me this opportunity" Y/n replied, feeling a renewed sense of belonging.”
After a delightful dinner and capturing some candid moments, the evening began to wind down. Susie glanced at the clock and then at Jack, who was starting to show signs of fatigue.
"Y/n, would you mind taking Jack to bed?" Susie asked with a warm smile. "It's getting close to his bedtime, and I think he's had quite an exciting day."
Y/n nodded eagerly. "Of course, I'd be happy to.”
Jack took Y/n's hand, leading her towards his room with a sense of eagerness. "Come on, Y/n! I'll show you my room."
As they entered Jack's room, Y/n took in the cheerful decor. The room was filled with stuffed animals, books, and toys, with posters of race cars adorning the walls. Jack's bed was a cozy little haven, complete with soft blankets and his favorite stuffed animal, a plush race car.
"So, Jack, what's your bedtime routine?" Y/n asked, wanting to ensure everything went smoothly.
Jack looked up at Y/n with wide eyes. "First, I need to put on my pajamas."
Y/n nodded and helped Jack pick out his favorite pajamas, a set decorated with little race cars. Jack changed into them with Y/n's assistance, his excitement making the process a bit wiggly but ultimately successful.
Once he was in his pajamas, Jack climbed onto his bed and looked at Y/n expectantly. "Next, we have to read a story. I like the one about the race car that wins the big race," he said, pointing to a book on his nightstand.
Y/n picked up the book and settled into a chair next to Jack's bed. As she began to read, Jack listened intently, his eyes lighting up with each turn of the page. After the story, Y/n noticed that Jack seemed more relaxed, his eyelids growing heavy.
"Okay, Jack, what's next?" Y/n asked softly.
"We have to turn on my nightlight," Jack replied, pointing to a small lamp shaped like a car. "And then, you have to tuck me in really tight."
Y/n switched on the nightlight, casting a warm, soothing glow around the room. She then tucked Jack in snugly, making sure he felt secure and comfortable.
"Anything else?" she asked, smoothing his blanket.
Jack nodded, his voice becoming quieter. "You have to sing the goodnight song. Mommy always sings it to me."
Y/n's heart melted at Jack's request. She hesitated for a moment before saying, "I don't know the song your mommy sings, but I can sing a song my grandma used to sing to me when I was your age. Would that be okay?"
Jack nodded sleepily, his eyes half-closed. "Okay."
Y/n began to sing a soft, soothing lullaby that her grandmother had sung to her countless times. It was a German song.
Aber Heidschi Bumbeidschi, schlaf lange, es is ja dein Muatter ausganga; sie is ja ausganga und kimmt neamer hoam und laßt das kloan Biabele ganz alloan! Aber Heidschi Bumbeidschi bum bum, aber Heidschi Bumbeidschi bum bum.
As she sang, Jack's eyes slowly closed, and a contented smile spread across his face.
When the song ended, Y/n whispered, "Goodnight, Jack. Sweet dreams."
Jack murmured a sleepy "Goodnight, Y/n," before drifting off to sleep.

Y/n quietly tiptoed out of the room. She returned to the living room, where Susie and Toto were now waiting for her on the couch.
"How did it go?" Susie asked, a hopeful look in her eyes.
"It went really well," Y/n replied with a smile. "He's asleep now. We read his favorite race car story, and I sang him a lullaby my grandma used to sing to me. He seemed to like it."
Susie and Toto both smiled, clearly pleased. "Thank you, Y/n," Toto said. "We appreciate you helping with Jack's bedtime routine. It means a lot to us."
"It was my pleasure," Y/n said sincerely. "Thank you both for a wonderful first day. I can't wait for the next one."
Susie nodded, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "We're so glad you're here, Y/n. You've already made a great start."
Y/n took a deep breath, feeling a surge of gratitude. "Before we call it a night, is there anything important I should know about for the next week? Any appointments or events?"
Toto nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, we do have a few things coming up. Jack has a doctor's appointment on Wednesday afternoon, and on Friday, we have a family dinner with some friends. We'll make sure to fill you in on all the details."
"Perfect, thank you," Y/n replied, appreciating their clear communication.
As the evening drew to a close, they all stood up to head to their respective rooms. Susie gave Y/n a warm hug. "Goodnight, Y/n. We're so glad you're part of our family."
"Goodnight, Susie," Y/n replied, feeling a sense of belonging.
Toto extended his hand with a smile. "Goodnight, Y/n. Sleep well."
"Goodnight, Toto," Y/n said, shaking his hand warmly.
With final goodnight wishes exchanged, Y/n made her way to her room. She reflected on the day's events, grateful for the warm welcome and looking forward to the days ahead with the Wolff family.

After getting ready for bed herself, Y/n was eager to share her experiences with her best friend, Emma. She pulled out her phone and started a FaceTime call.
"Hey, Em!" Y/n greeted as Emma's face appeared on the screen.
"Y/n! Wie ist Monaco? (Y/n! How’s Monaco?)” Emma's eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Das was ich bis jetzt gesehen habe ist wundervoll! Wir haben grade zu Abend gegessen. Es war sehr wahrmerzig und einladend. Hier, ich zeige Ihnen die Aussicht von meinem Balkon, (What I have seen of the country is just amazing! I just had dinner. It was so warm and welcoming. Here, let me show you the view from my balcony,)” Y/n said squiling, turning the camera to capture the breathtaking Monaco skyline.
Emma's jaw dropped. “Wow, dass sieht so wunderschön aus! I kann nicht glauben dass du wirklich dort bist. (Wow, that's stunning! I can't believe you're actually there!)”
“Ja ge? Und Susie und Toto sind so nett. Sie haben mir sogar erlaubt ein bild von ihenne beim Abendessen zu machen und ein Gruppenfoto von uns allen. Warte ich schike es dir, dass andere bild siehst du in meiner story. (I know, right? And Susie and Toto are just lovely. They even let me take a picture of them at dinner plus a groupe picture of all of us. Waite i'll send it to you the other picture you can see in my story."
As they chatted, Y/n felt a comforting sense of connection to her life back in Stuttgart. Despite the distance, she knew that her bond with Emma would remain strong, buoyed by their shared excitement and regular updates.
“Danke für den Anruf Y/n. (Thanks for calling, Y/n,)” Emma said warmly. “Ich vermisse dich aber ich freue mich so für dich. (I miss you, but I'm so happy for you.)”
"Ich vermisse dich auch, Em. Wir bleiben in Kontakt, ich verspreche es, (I miss you too, Em. We'll stay in touch, I promise,)” Y/n replied, feeling a pang of homesickness mixed with gratitude for her friend's unwavering support.
