Practical scare (re-uploaded)
Summary: Some of the guys at Roosterteeth decide to play a prank on Gavin, which turns out to be his worse nightmare. Can Michael find him in time before he breaks down. This will be a short, I wanted to do this one for a while.
It had been a rather uneventful day at the Roosterteeth office, no one really had anything interesting to say, all too busy with their own projects that needed to be done. That was until Kerry came into one of the conference rooms where Chris and Miles were talking. "Hey guys... I can't stop laughing at this video" The light haired man choked between laughs as he carried in his phone. "Which video is that?" Miles asked as he swivelled on one of the chairs. "Michaels' rage quit one with slender. It's fucking hilarious" He wiped away a tear as he chuckled more. And now he was in the room, the screams and yells were obvious. "Yeah, that was a classic" Chris smiled brightly. He enjoyed that video also. "I mean look at Gavins' face" Kerry shoved his phone in Miles hands, making him watch the clip. It was a funny sight indeed, one second Gavin was laughing and joking with Michael, then next he was screaming like a banshee. "Haha yeah, God Imagine what he'd be like if he actually saw slender?" Chris laughed. "He'd shit himself" Miles commented. Kerry just watched the clip over and over, an evil smirk crawling up on his lips. "Guys I have an idea" He pulled his two friends in and went through his devilish plan. ............ "A party? Here?" Gavin quizzed as he listened intently to the three lads who were standing behind him whilst he worked. They had suggested that they have a "Young lads" Night out, and thought it'd be cool to have it at the office at the dead of night. "Yeah, Michael, Ray you guys can come too" Kerry chirped. "Nah I can't sorry" Ray replied, not that he would be drinking anyway. "Yeah I'll come, sure why not" Michael responded. "Awesome, so see ya bout nine yeah?" Kerry beamed. Gavin seemed unsure, but if Michael was going then he'd go. "Ok, will be top" he said, the three older lads left, leaving a dumbfounded Gavin in their wake. "That was bizarre" He stated. Michael just shrugged his shoulders. "Ofcourse it was, it's Kerry, Miles and Chris" He simply stated before returning to his work. Gavin nodded in agreement before doing the same himself. ........... "Alright, now time to get the big guns in" Kerry laughed maniaclly as he dialed a number on his phone. Chris and Miles could only watch as their friend spoke animatedly on the phone to whoever. "Yeah.... At Roosterteeth yeah.... Uh huh.... Sure bring them.... That be great. Oh yeah that's awesome.... Hahaha this is going to be cool... Have you all got suits?.... Awesome.... Right then, will see you guys here soon" He ended the call with a satisfactory look on his smug face. "Guys... Tonight s gonna happen" The two other lads were starting to think, maybe this wasn't a good plan after all. ........... The work day had come to an end, everyone had finished their work and were happily heading home, all except Chris, Miles, Kerry, Michael and Gavin. They hung out in the Roosterteeth office, drinking booze, playing xbox a proper lads night. However Michael was soon getting bored, he had been playing games all day, he didn't want to do so again that night, it had been a rather stressing day for him. "I'm going to head out for some air" He excused himself. He walked out of the building cussing lightly as the chilly air struck his bare arms. "Shit it's freezing" He muttered as he rubbed his arms. He longed to be home, all snuggled in a warm blanket, watching game of thrones or something. ....... "Right lads... I'm going to go the little boys rooms, be back in a sec" Gavin slurred as he staggered out of the room. Kerry smiled as he watched the Brit leave. "Alright guys, he's going to be awhile. Hopefully my guys get here soon" He stated as he checked his phone for the time. Anytime now. ......... Michael was still stood outside, he had no idea how long he had been out there, but he was now freezing. He was about to return inside, when he saw about six figures walking up the drive way, six very tall people. "What the fuck?" Michael muttered as the giants approached the building. "Hey, is this the place where Kerry is holding the party?" One of the lads asked. Michael could only nod as he looked up at the gang, how was it possible to be so tall? He was practically bending backwards to look up at the guys. "Thanks little guy" Another giant chuckled as the gang walked in. Michael just stood there, staring at the door. "Little guy? LITTLE GUY?!" Michael raged. He wasn't little, they were just freakisly tall. Now he was definately not going back in for a while. So he went to his car and sat in it. He didn't really want to leave Gavin on his own, so he decided to just chill in his car until the Brit realised that he wasn't coming back. ......... "Ya came!" Kerry cried out as the six giants entered the room, they had to duck to avoid hitting their heads on the door frame. "Of course, anything for a good laugh" "Who the fuck are these guys?" Miles asked as he and Chris just gaped. "Oh just some basketball friends of mine. Knew each other at school" Kerry responded. "So did ya bring ya gear?" he asked the gang, they all nodded, raising som kit bags. "Awesome, I found these also." Kerry said as he pulled out some white mask things, he gave them to the guys and then showed them where they could get changed. He returned, with the biggest shit eating grin possible. "Alright guys, you ready?" He asked, Chris and Miles nodded, waving their phones in response. "Good remember the plan now, Chris in charge of sound control. Miles lights" "Yes we know" Chris groaned, it had taken him a while, but he'd managed to set up tiny cameras along the hallways, and along those cameras were sound speakers, all connected to an app on his phone. Whilst Miles has downloaded the app which controls all lights in the building you're in. The six guys suddenly returned, all dressed in similiar black suits. "You guys look great, now remember guys, try to avoid each other, or else it won't work" Kerry instructed as he showed the guys the spots that they'd be based at. After their brief session, the giants left the room. "Now the fun begins" ........ Gavin had just finished his business and was just in the middle of washing his hands when suddenly the lights went out. "Oh bollocks" Gavin grumbled as he fumbled with the faucet. He struggled to find his way to the door, but when he managed to find the handle, he quickly pulled it, only to be met with more darkness. "Bloody hell..." Gavin spoke quietly, the hallway was quiet and eerie and it made Gavin very uncomfortable. He stuck to the wall as he travelled the way he thought was the way to the office. But he stopped in his tracks when he heard a light crackling noise, like a television on white screen. He looked up into the darkness, there was nothing he could see, but he could still hear it, but there was soemthing else, a low beating sound, like a slow heart beat. "Hello?" He called out. His drunken mind was not helping him trying to find a logical explanation, instead he just swayed, still clinging onto the wall for support. Then in the distance a light flickered on and off, and Gavin almost died right there. Standing in the flashing light was a figure, clad in a black suit, outrageously tall and to Gavins' horror... No face. "Sle...Sle..." Gavin tried to stutter out, the light turned off completely, only for the next one to start flashing again, with the faceless man underneath. The crackling noise grew louder as the beat got faster. Gavin was trembling. "SLENDER!" Gavin finally caved as he ran down the corridor, in the opposite way of Slender. ........ "HAHAHAHAH Oh my God, this is fucking amazing" Kerry laughed as himself and Chris and Miles watched on one of the monitors. Chris and Miles felt somewhat bad for Gavin, but it was fun. "OKie guys, let's see where he is" Kerry said as he flicked through the different camera shots. "Ah, first floor... Heading for the main conference room" .............. Poor Gavin could barely catch his breath. He had ran up those stairs like his life depended on it, and to Gavin it did. He looked behind him, and smiled tiredly as he saw no one following. But his hope was dashed when that dreadful sound came from in front of him. He peeked up to see Slender staring at him, from behind one of the conference rooms window. the lights in the room flickering. One second he was there, then he was gone. Gavins' heart raced as he staggered around. He ran past the conference rooms, not daring to seek refuge in any of them. He was now heading towards Burnies' office, but that was no safe haven either. He was there, just standing there one moment then being somewhere else the next. He was getting closer to the Brit. "Stay away from me!" Gavin cried before darting down another set of stairs. ............. Michael had grown pissed off whilst waiting in the car, Gavin surely must have noticed that he wasn't there? But then again, it was Gavin. So letting out a frustrated sigh, Michael left his warm car, to brave the cold to enter the building. He was surprised to find it completely submerged into darkness. He made his way blindly down the hall to where his office was, only to bump into someone. "Hey!" Michael cried out as he stepped back. He looked up to see a tall figure in the dark "Oh you're that kid from earlier" The figure said with disinterest. "I'm not a kid, and what the fuck is going on?" Michael asked, the figure opened the office door, allowing light to spill out. Michael almost gasped out in fright when he saw Slender standing in front of him. "What the fuck?" Michael hissed out. He wasn't overly keen on the guy in front of him parading around in what he considered one of the scariest games he's ever played. He swiftly entered the office to find Miles, Chris and Kerry all watching one of the monitors. Chris and Miles looked like they were committing a huge crime, their expressions one of worry and concern whilst Kerry was pissing himself. Chris and Miles spotted Michael and they gave each other uneasy looks. The Jersey boy walked behind them to peer at the screen, and what he saw made his blood boil. There were at least 8 screens on the monitor, all in night vision, it was pretty dark none the less, but occasionally Gavin would walk or run in front of view, and then get absolutely petrified as Slender would pounce on him sending him screaming in the opposite direction. "What the fuck is going on here?" Michael growled, his anger peaking to boiling point. Kerry turned to the face the man, a huge smile on his face. "It's just a joke man, it's brilliant" "No this is bullshit, look at Gav, he's terrified!" Michael pointed out as they watched him run past camera 6 it seemed. "He'll be fine" Kerry assured him, but he recoiled when Michael got in his face. "Do you know how scared Gavin is of Slender? He couldn't sleep for days after we played it. And now you're toying with him, whilst drunk. So I'm warning you, if this has scarred him for life, I'm going to make you pay.... Big time" and with that threat hanging in the air, Michael left the room to search for Gavin. "Kerry are you ok?" The light haired man remained frozen on the spot, his face a sight of pure terror, as if he just met the devil. ........... Michael was so pissed, he stormed throughout the building, threatening every bastard that posed as Slender. Soon he had removed five of them, but he knew that there was one more, hunting down his Gavin. "Where could they be?" He asked himself. He was about to head for the upstairs conference rooms again when suddenly... "AAAAHHH!!!" "GAVIN!" Michael screamed, he ran down the stairs, and headed towards the more desolate part of the building. The lights were completely off, obviously Miles didn't want anything else to do with this prank gone wrong. "Gavin where are ya buddy?" Michael called out into the darkness. "Mi... Michael?" a voice whimpered from further down the hall. "Gav?" Michael traveled further down, listening to the sniffles and sobs that were most likely coming from a drunken, scared Brit. He found the messy haired boy, huddled up in a corner, his hands covering his head as he rocked back and forth. "Gavin it's me, you're ok now" Michael ushered as he knelt by the boy. But Gavin continued to tremble. "Michael... He's here" Gavin whispered. Michael looked around them, but in the darkness he couldn’t see shit. "Gavin, you've got to believe, Slender isn't real... Kerry and the guys are being dicks and jerking with you" Michael tried to explain, but apparently the "dicks" had other plans. Soon the creepy sounds started again and the lights flashed on and off frantically. Now Michael could see him, the last bastard. He must have walked right past him. But now he was there, walking menacingly slow towards them. Gavin tried to huddle in on himself more as he cried. "Please don't kill me, please don't kill me" he chanted. Michael was pissed, this has gone on long enough. "Alright I've had it now" he stated as he stood up. His hands balled up into shaking fists. "Kerry, I fucking hope you're watching" He said, knowing full well that they were. The "slender" kept advancing, obviously unaware of the danger he was putting himself in, for every step he made, every tear Gavin cried, only made Michael more furious. So when finally the bastard was too close for Gavins' comfort... Bam! "OW!" The guy fell flat on his back, clutching his "nose" "And there's more where that came from!" Michael roared as he stormed up to the guy. But the guy didn't want more, so made the right choice of running for the hills. "Miles put the lights on" Michael demanded, and instantly they came on. Michael wasted no time in returning to Gavin who now was just sniffling, his eyes red from crying and his cheeks flushed from the alcohol. "Michael?" Gavin squeaked. "I'm here Gavin, come on, let's get you home" Michael said as he expertly picked up the Brit bridle style and carried him through the building. The lads were waiting for them at the Achievement office, Chris and Miles apologized, whilst Kerry said nothing. "If you pull another stunt like this, I'll fucking kill you" Michael warned as he walked out of the building with Gavin. Let's just say, the next day the two of them didn't come into work. And Kerry never plotted another prank against the two of them again.
So what do you think????

Tally Marks (4/?)
Summary: Everyone who has fallen in love has tally marks. Some were black and some were red. Others only had a scar to remember their loved ones and Michael was one of them. Now, after about a year, Michael never found another love, that is until he met a strange British man in the middle of rush hour in a cafe. (Inspired by this |x|)
A/N: Yo! Yeah I have no excuse of not updating besides, I was a tad lazy... whoops. (;^-^) Sorry about that, but anyways Enjoy!

Beep

Beep
Michael's eyes shot wide open at the sound of his alarm. He turned over to grab his phone and shut off his alarm with a groan. He checked the clock that hung on a nearby wall and it read 6:00 am. Again, a groan escaped his lips. Michael wasn't much of a morning person so usually he slept until the last possible minute he had for his slumber.
But today was different.
He smiled. Well tried to, it looked more like a grimace due to his sleepiness. Today he and Gavin had made plans to go to the cafe.
Michael sat up and stretched. The sounds of joints popping and quiet moans filled the room.
"Today's gonna be fucking great, I know it." Michael whispered to himself. He got up and fixed his side of the bed as quickly as possible. And then basically ran towards the bathroom to take a shower.
By the time 6:45 rolled around, Michael was as clean as can be, dressed in his usual jeans and t-shirt, and ready to go. He put on a jacket before he exited the room.
He bolted towards his front door, he was filled with excitement. With a swift swing, he grabbed keys out of the bowl and put them in his pocket. He glanced around his apartment quickly, making sure he didn't forget anything. With one last precise look, he turned and pulled the door open.
Yeah today's gonna be great.
-------------------------
In another area in Austin, during the time Michael began to get ready, a lanky British man was just beginning to arise. Gavin shifted around his bed for a bit until he outstretched his arms and sat up. A yawn escaped his lips as he turned and looked at the nearby clock that was placed on top of his bedside table.
6:05 am.
Perfect. He had just enough time to take a shower, get dressed, wake up B and double check.
Gavin stepped out of his bed and made his way towards the bathroom, leaving his bed in a heap of messed up blankets and crooked pillows.
Around 6:35, Gavin was all finished his personal grooming. He was sporting a gray sweater with some dark blue jeans. Union Jack converse covered his white socked feet and a small black satchel rested on his shoulder. It was filled with small wires and a couple of USBs that held personal slow motion videos he had shot during lunch breaks and his days off. He needed to bring them for work, they (the company) were working on some more animation for a bit so Gavin needed to busy himself since they weren't going to need him for a while.
With one last hair ruffle, he made his way towards Dan's room.
Ever since Dan agreed to move to Austin because of the job Gavin had snagged for him, he and Gavin have been living together. At first, when Dan was still up in England, Gavin lived in a smaller apartment, alone. He didn't mind living there before, it was just that it could get lonely at times. Before his American residence, Gavin was a part of a family of 5 so the sudden change to 1 threw him off for a bit.
For instance, whenever he thought of some theoretical question or had an 'epiphany' he had no one to share it with, it was just him and the silence of his apartment. And Gavin hated being alone, it actually distracted him. Usually a person would want to be alone so they could focus, but for Gavin, being alone made him want to do things, anything that could possibly bring him closer to a human presence and farther from productivity.
So living with Dan had it's perks. Especially since they're best friends. At times, it was as if Gavin and Dan shared one brain but other times they were polar opposites. It was how they worked. How they clicked. Dan was the listener, Gavin the talker. Gavin was the playful one, Dan responsible. They were Dan and Gavin, best friends for life. (AKA BFFLs as referred to by Gavin when he wanted to be a prick)
Without even knocking, Gavin waltzed right into Dan's room, the sound of small thumps from his footsteps filled the silence. Once he made it to the edge of the bed, Gavin stared at his friend's sleeping stature.
Dan was laying belly first and his head was tilted towards Gavin. His limbs were sprawled across the bed, splitting off in different directions. Despite his haphazard position, he seemed well relaxed.
Gavin couldn't wait to ruin it.
Gavin turned and walked to the wall parallel to the bed. He swiftly went into a running position and faced Dan. He was going to sprint and jump. His favorite way of waking his friend.
A smirk formed on his face as he began to count down.
"1." He began.
"2."
"3."
The second the '3' escaped his lips he bolted. It only took 2 long steps to get into the right spot, perfect distance from the bed for jumping.
"GOOOOOOO!" Gavin yelled as he sprang up and began falling towards Dan.
Dan's eyes snapped opened at the sudden change from silence. His sleepy vision focused on the body falling towards him. He barely had any time to react before the man child crashed onto him.
Squeaks of laughter filled the room along with some groans from Dan.
"B!" Dan yelled, not as angry as he sounded.
Gavin looked up from his position on top of Dan and grinned. "Yes? Something the matter?"
Dan rolled his eyes at his friend's childishness and began to push him off. Gavin of course, resisted.
"You'll never get me to let go!" Gavin yelled, determination filling his voice.
Dan smirked and replied, "Oh? We'll see about that."
He flipped their positions so that now he was the one on top and Gavin was the one laying in the bed. Not even sparing a second, Dan's fingers trailed up and down Gavin's sides, tickling him.
Laughter rang throughout the apartment from each of the boys.
After about five more minutes of tickle torture, Dan finally stopped. Both boys let out airy laughs and grins plastered their faces. The air was practically filled with their energy.
Bzzzt.
Gavin felt a vibration come from his pocket. Dan threw him a confused look.
"Who's texting you so early in the morning, Mr. Popular?" Dan asked slightly teasing.
Gavin laughed and shrugged as he grabbed his phone from his pants pocket. It was reminder. It said:
Go to the cafe ya bloody fool! Don't keep Michael waiting!
Gavin smiled at the notification. Oh yeah he had a thing to do with Michael. His smile quickly fell as he checked the time.
6:43am
"Oh Shite! B I ought to be going!" Gavin struggled underneath Dan, pushing slightly at him as a way to get him off of his legs.
Dan began to get off, confused at what just happened. "What? Wait. Why? Where are you going?"
Once freed, Gavin stood up and checked his appearance in the small mirror on Dan's bedside table.
He turned and made his way to the living room. Dan in tow, still looking for an answer to his questions. "B? Earth to Gav. Where're headed off too?"
Gavin grabbed his apartment keys off the coffee table and made his way to the door. Signaling Dan to come closer, Gavin started to put on his shoes.
Dan approached him and waited for his answer.
Once his shoes were on, Gavin grinned at Dan. "I'm meeting up with Michael at the cafe nearby."
Dan's eyes furrowed, but quickly changed to an 'excited' expression. He gave Gavin a half smile.
"Oh, that's nice."
Gavin noticed the sudden change in his best friend's tone. It worried him. "B, you alright?"
Dan only nodded. He pat Gavin's shoulder and turned away, making his way back to his bedroom. "Have fun. I'll pick you up when you're done." Dan said, barely above a whisper.
Right at the doorway of his room, Dan turned and threw a sly wink at Gavin. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." With that, Dan disappeared into his room.
Gavin's eyes widened as he blushed bright red. A series of unusual sounds escaped his lips, before even a simple 'B!' was spoken. "Goddamn, B. You can a real twat at times." Gavin childishly mumbled to himself as he opened the front door.
"Alright I'll be back soon!" With that the door shut behind Gavin, leaving Dan alone in their apartment.
Back in his room, Dan sat himself onto his bed. It creaked with the new but familiar weight of his body. Dan slowly raised his arm, making the mark more evident.
He sighed as he stared at the tally mark embedded onto his arm. It seemed as if it were staring back at him, mocking him.
"Goddamn it."
Dan plopped onto his back with his arms splayed out, trying to get the mark as far away from him as possible, and let out a deep breath. He groaned in frustration mostly for himself. He knew he and Gavin would only ever be friends but that didn't stop the feelings from forming. It didn't stop his heart from racing just at the sight of Gavin or the slight pain he had when he knew Gavin didn't feel the same. Honestly, Dan was proud to be at least friends with Gavin, even more proud to say they were best mates. But at times, he couldn't help but wonder how things would be if they were together.
No matter who Gavin ended up trusting with his heart, Dan would always be there for him. Making Gavin happy was always the goal, whether it be with him or with someone else. Dan would always support Gavin, no questions asked. Sure he loved him but he did love him first as a friend. And friends protected each other, they made sure they're there for each other. Of course Dan knew that this happiness was a two way road, he knew Gavin would wish for his happiness too. Which is exactly why Dan hasn't told Gavin about his feelings, that and because he was too bloody afraid to.
Dan knew that if he told Gavin, Gavin wouldn't know how to take it. He would want to say he returned Dan's feelings, but then he'd be lying which would end up hurting Dan. On the other hand, Dan knew that Gavin wouldn't want to reject him because Gavin would know that would end up hurting Dan too. Because of this internal confusion, Gavin would probably end up pushing him away, and Dan certainly did not want that to happen.
Damn, Love was hard.
----------------------
Just like every morning, there were a few people scattered about in the small, but homey cafe. When Gavin entered, a nearby barista who was sweeping, greeted him.
Gavin offered a small wave as he made her way towards her. "Hello Emily! How are you today?"
Emily giggles and stops sweeping for a moment to reply. "I'm doing well. You seem happier than usual today. Something good happening?"
Before Gavin could answered, a bell chimed, signaling someone entering the cafe. A smile formed on his lips at the sight of Michael, completely forgetting a question was even asked. Emily let out a breathy laugh and turned to leave. "You two have fun now with your date and all."
Well that pulled Gavin out of his thoughts. He turned red upon hearing her response and he frantically squabbled for a retort. "I-it's not a- Emily!"
"You seem way too energetic for this early in the day." A voice commented, sounding amused.
Gavin jumped in his place and turned to face the man of the voice. Again, a smile formed on his face. Michael stood in front of Gavin, a smile on his face as well. Both boys stood in there, staring at one another, neither one wanting to be the first to turn away.
"Hi Michael." Gavin offered, still smiling.
"Hey Gavin." Michael replied, just as happy.
A strange sound filled their tiny silence. Gavin looked down sheepishly. It was his stomach, it was growling in desperate need for food. Michael let out a laugh and pat Gavin's shoulder.
"Looks like someone's hungry. How about we grab something to eat first and then converse."
Gavin laughed as well and nodded. "That'd be top."
A few moments later, both boys were seated and ready to dig in. Gavin had bought a small Earl Grey tea and a blueberry muffin. While Michael ordered a small caramel latte and an apple strudel. A comfortable silence fell upon them as they sipped and ate their food.
Gavin looked up towards Michael and began to speak, completely oblivious to the crumbs on his face. "So Michael, what do you do for a living? Oh! Actually let's start with favorites. What's your favorite color? Food? Hob-"
Michael stifled a laugh when he looked at Gavin, slightly droning out his fast paced questions. Without thinking, Michael stretched his hand forward and gently rubbed the crumbs off Gavin's face. Gavin stopped talking, his eyes wide.
Michael froze. Surprised by his own actions, he pulled his arm back like it had just been burned and began to stutter as his face grew red. "I-I uh didn't mean t-to- well technically I did, but you had- uh-" Michael turned away and slumped in the defeat of unable to form sentences.
Gavin still slightly surprised, grinned. "Thanks for that. Wouldn't want to look like an idiot with those crumbs and all."
"With or without crumbs, you still look like an idiot." Michael muttered, still embarrassed by what he had done.
"Michael!"
"Micool!" Michael faced Gavin with a smile and mocked him, teasingly.
Gavin pouted playfully and then took a bite of his muffin. "Mhure fa pfrict." (You're a prick)
"Aw you don't mean that, Gav."
Gavin swallowed then stuck out his tongue. Michael chuckled. "You're such a child."
"You're a child!"
"Good retort there, Gavin."
"Sod off, it was quality."
"God, you're a fucking idiot." Hearing Michael call Gavin an idiot, brought a smile to Gavin's face. He didn't know why. It was basically an insult, if taken out of context, but it was like Gavin knew it wasn't meant to hurt him. There was no malice laced in the word, just amusement. It was as if they were old friends and not just getting to know each other.
"-rth to Gavin. Gaaaaaavin. Hello in there. Honestly I wonder if something is even up in there."
Gavin blinked back into reality. He stared at Michael and finally registered Michael's previous statement. "Hey!"
"Finally, well before you drifted off I was answering one of your goddamn questions. So fucking listen." Michael smiled for good measures, making sure Gavin took note that he meant no harm with his words. "Anyway, as I was saying, I work for this company and basically I play video games for a living."
Gavin suddenly stood up, mouth open in wonder and awe. "You play video games for living?! That bloody amazing! How'd that happen?"
Michael chuckled and motioned Gavin to sit. He was attracting all sorts of unwanted attention to their conversation. When Gavin finally complied and sat down, Michael couldn't help but grin. "Well, first things first, I work for a company called Rooster Teeth. Specifically, I work mostly in Achievement Hunter, the section that focuses primarily on making recorded Let's Plays. We post them to our site and we get views, honestly we get quite a good amount of viewers, if I do say so myself."
Michael folded his arms in front of himself, proud of his workplace. He loved where he worked especially the people he worked with. He would never trade it for anything in the world, Rooster Teeth has been the best company he has worked for in his lifetime.
Gavin sat opposite of him, jaw slack in surprise. And then he squeaked. He goddamn squeaked in excitement. "That's bloody top, Michael! So you're just sat about the whole day playing video games? That seems like so much fun, is it?"
"Well, usually it's fun but every now and then I have to record a Rage Quit. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're fun to record but they can get so fucking frustrating and tiring." Michael replied, scratching the back of his neck.
Gavin raised an eyebrow, seeming confused. "Rage Quit?"
"OH! My bad. A Rage Quit's when I play a frustrating game and yell at it. I basically just suck ass throughout the gameplay and complain. People love it for some reason. They eat that shit up like there's no tomorrow."
"Ah, I now see why you use such filthy language." Gavin commented.
Michael let out a breezy laugh, amused by Gavin's assumption. "Actually, I've always spoken like this even before Rage Quit. Ha, would believe me if I said I spoke like this to my own mother?"
Gavin slammed his hands onto the table in front of them. "You do not!" Gavin would never speak to anyone in his family with half the words he's heard Michael use, let alone his own mother.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Mr. Goodie Two Shoes, but I do indeed speak to her like this. I'm a bit of a bad boy." Michael said with a wink. Michael surprised himself. What the hell was that? Did he just wink? What the actual fuck.
Gavin didn't seem phased by the flirtatious implement, he just continued to look flabbergasted by the obvious disrespect Michael had for his mother. "Michael!"
Michael laughed through his nose as he shook his head at Gavin's surprise. Eh, he was used to it. He remembered when Ray overheard a conversation he was having with his mother on the phone one day. He will never forget the look of shock Ray displayed, it was hilarious.
"Alright, enough about me. What do you for a living? Besides you know, act like an idiot. Cause I don't imagine that pays well."
Gavin's eyes glistened at the question, he was excited to share the dream he was living. Michael rose an eyebrow, curious at the reaction he received from Gavin, he too was quite excited as well.
"Well, as you could tell I'm not originally from America-"
"Oh you're not? I wouldn't have fucking guessed!"
Gavin sent him a playful glare, causing Michael to smirk. "Alright Alright, continue."
"Anyways, I'm actually from Oxfordshire in England and moved here about 2-3 years ago to work at RWBY Productions. Over there, I specialize in Slow Motion cinematography, which basically means I fool around with a camera pretending to be all science-y."
Michael nodded in interest, "Slow Motion cinematography? How'd you get into that?"
Gavin grinned at the fact Michael actually seemed to care. "Well my interest and now love for Slow Motion began around the age of 9, when I figured out how to play a movie frame by frame on the remote. I was quite fascinated with all the small details I hadn't seen while the movie was playing at normal speed. It was like I had seen a completely new world that was hidden from the naked eye. To this day, these small and probably unimportant details to others, still amaze me."
Michael stared at Gavin, taking notice to the evident glint in his eyes and the awe in his voice. Damn, he's so cute.
Whoa. Wait. Cute?
Michael blinked hurriedly before he shook his head. "I meant the fact he has a dream not him...I think."
"Hm? What are you on about Michael?" Michael's eyes widened. Oh shit he said that out loud.
"Uh... N-nothing! Um uh, I'm gonna throw my cup out!" With that, Michael got up and headed straight for the trash bins near the front of the cafe. Once there, he threw away his cup and then nervously glanced over his shoulder, towards where he and Gavin had chosen to sit.
Well to be honest, Gavin definitely wasn't lacking aesthetically, even with the gigantic nose (alright fine larger than average). Somehow it suited him just as well as his wild sandy locks that always appeared to be in a forever state of bed head and his shining green eyes that resembled emeralds basking in the sun.
Crap. He is cute.
Back at the table, Gavin was just sat in his chair, patiently waiting for Michael's return. Michael's abruptness confused him but eh, he'll let it go. One of the things he's learned from living in America for the past couple of years is that Americans were weird.
Just as he was finishing that thought, Michael returned with a small smile on his face. "Hey, I'm back." He said as he settled back down into his chair.
Gavin sent him a grin. "Welcome back, mate. How were the bins?"
"Eh, not the best conversationalists. They were all full of shit."
Gavin chuckled. "Yeah they didn't know what they were missing. Cause you on the other hand are a top conversationalist."
"Heh, thanks man. Same goes for you."
"I'm glad we agreed to meet up again, it was nice getting more about you, Michael."
"Yeah, same goes for you." Michael said, sounding more shy than he what he wanted.
Again, Gavin chuckled. "Maybe I was wrong about being a 'top conversationalist'. You basically just repeated what you previously said!"
Michael playfully rolled his eye. "Oh says the one who uses 'top'."
"It's a common saying!"
"Bullshit! No one says 'top' over here."
"Well maybe you lot ought to be taught how to be a little more cultured." Gavin retorted, a smug look forming on his face. Fine, maybe Michael was a top conversationalist.

So this is it huh, the end of my first ever fanfic. I've got to say it started off with pretty bad writing skills but I think I've overcome a lot of bad writing habits an although I've definitely improved there is still much more room for even more improvements.
I also wanted to say a great big thank you to anyone who's stuck around this long!, you deserve a prize for living through my late uploads jeez.
Enjoy!
Gavin was fast asleep when his phone rang so late into the night that it could be considered morning. He woke up slowly, his mind dazed in confusion. It took him a while to realise what was happening and once he did he reached for his phone and squinted angrily at the number. He recognised it as Michael's and his heart began to race. He put it to his ear and said "Hello?" "Gavin?" Michael asked
"Yes Michael it's me"
"Oh, I found your number but I thought it could be different Gavin because of the whole amnesia thing" He said it casually as if they were talking on the street, not like they were talking while the sun was still down.
"Are you checking numbers or something because it's" Gavin looked up at his alarm clock and the number glowed 3:19 "It's twenty past three and you should probably do things like this during the day"
"No, You're the only person that I called or will call, I wanted to tell you I was sorry for what I said to you earlier"
"What?, why?"
"I remembered that we're friends, all those days we spent at rays and that flag thing..." his voice trailed off like he was remembering it all again right now "Anyway, I didn't mean any of that shit I said today, I didn't know what I was talking about"
Gavin smiled to himself "it's okay, my boi, I'm glad you remembered something"
"I'm still missing a few months but they'll come back... I'm lucky, really, aren't I?"
"I suppose you are... I don't know what I'd have done if you had gotten permanent amnesia"
Gavin considered this. What if Michael had forgotten him completely. Would he have given up on him and moved on or would he have rebuilt their relationship, no matter how long it took?.
"Well I hope you'd try to get to know me again, I know I'm an ass hole but It can't have been that hard to be my friend"
After he had said that Gavin was sure that he would've done anything and everything to be with him again.
"You'd be surprised"
"Shit" Michael said
"You okay?" Gavin asked pulling his knees up to his chest
"Yeah" he whispered, his voice was muffled "There's a nurse wandering about and I'm meant to be asleep- shit I think she heard me!, she's coming back I gotta go"
"Bye, I lov" Gavin stopped himself and felt embarrassed,he'd dodged a bullet there "...uh...bye"
"Come tomorrow okay?"
"I'll be there"
Gavin heard the faint voice of the nurse telling Michael off before he hung up. Then he was alone again. He slid back down into the covers and smiled from ear to ear. He was not forgotten.
Later that afternoon Gavin found himself sprinting up the hospital stairs following a streak of bad luck in which Gavin had missed his bus, waited an hour for another one, which broke down too far away to walk and once he'd finally arrived at the hospital there was an out of order sign on the door.
He groaned and muttered "fuck it" before making a dash for the stairs.
A nurse who had witnessed this tried to call after him, knowing that there was another elevator just a few steps down the hallway, but he was gone.
Gavin rushed to the front desk of the third floor, gasping and panting. The woman at the desk giggled a little at his appearance then asked "Who are you here for honey?"
"Michael" He took a breath "Jones"
She tapped on her keyboard then laughed again, covering her face.
"What?"
"Honey, He's been moved out of the I.C.U to the first floor, ward 118"
He groaned
"Do yourself a favour and use the elevator over there" she said pointing "It still works"
"Thanks" he said shuffling away followed by the woman's faint laughter, he forcefully prodded the button for the first floor and crossed his arms angrily.
The elevator shuddered to a halt and he walked out and searched for a sign for where to go, he called out to a nurse "which way is ward 118?"
She looked at him confusedly "Didn't you just.." she looked at the stairs and shook her head "it's down that way around the corner, there's a number over the door"
"thanks"He turned his back on her and fast walked away arriving at the room at top speed. He opened the door and Michael beamed up at him, Gavin recalled the look of disregard he had received yesterday, a wave of pure happiness washed over him and suddenly everything that had happened was worth it for this one smile.
"you can come in, you know"
Gavin stepped inside and closed the door "Hey, sorry for being so late"
"No problem" Michael replied, shaking his head at the apology "I was asleep until about twenty minutes ago anyway" Little did Gavin know this was a complete lie. He'd actually gotten up a few hours ago, long before Gavin was supposed to be there and he had waited. He was more than a little disappointed when he hadn't come. He assumed he'd been late but after waiting two hours he had decided he wasn't coming at all. This was the reason he'd been so overjoyed when he'd arrived.
"where's everyone else?, I thought they'd be here too"
"um, well, I just wanted to talk to you" He looked away and Gavin thought he saw the faintest hint of red on his cheeks.
"Did you remember anything else"
"No"Michael said, breaking eye-contact again. "I didn't"
"That's alright" Gavin replied, maintaining his smile "Dr. Jenkins did say it would happen slowly"
"Yeah...did Lindsay tell you why we broke up?, I remember doing it but not why"
In truth Michael knew exactly why he'd broken up with Lindsay. It was Gavin, He had remembered all his feeling's for him and had, again, come to terms with being gay. Which was ten times more easy the second time around. The only thing was he didn't know whether or not Gavin knew. So he held off on this little piece of information.
Gavin also knew exactly why as well, but he didn't know if Michael would believe him if he told him the truth. And if he did tell him his reaction could be something altogether undesirable. So he also kept hold of this knowledge.
"Nah, I never asked her and you didn't tell me either, anyway" he said changing the subject "how is your hand, did it heal well?"
"well" he replied, lifting it up in the air and turning it around " it's a bit weak and I can't really make a fist any more" he tried to curl his fingers but they stopped a few centimetres away from his palm.
"ah, that's not too bad, can you walk?"
"Yes and no, I'm kind of like a toddler, my legs aren't strong enough to keep me up for long" He sighed "I was doing some physical therapy yesterday and I can keep myself up for a bit but then I feel all weak and fall down, It's annoying"
"you'll get there, and when you do, I'll be there" he said, instinctively reaching for Michaels hand but quickly bringing his arm down before he'd actually grabbed it.
"when you're better there's somewhere I want to bring you"
"yeah, where?" Michael asked, curious.
Gavin smirked "you'll have to wait"
Michael jokingly pouted like a child "Asshole, I'm bedridden, look at me! you can't keep a sick guy waiting"
"I'm pretty sure that I can"
They spent they next few hours talking with the occasional innocent flirt thrown in before Dr Jenkins came in and said it was time for Michael to go to Physical therapy.
"Can I just say one thing to Gavin in private before he has to go?" Michael asked
"Of course" Dr Jenkins said before exiting
"I want you to be here at seven thirty sharp on Christmas day, no exceptions"
"But that's after visiting-"
"No exceptions"
"But"
"No exceptions"
Gavin sighed "I'll try my best but no promises okay?" "'kay, see you then"
"wait, can I not come back until then?"
"that's right" He replied nodding
"But that's not fair"Gavin protested
Michael shrugged "bye, Gav"
"Bye" he muttered, catching a good look at Michael before he left.
Christmas day, Gavin estimated, took four entire years to arrive. Every minute was an hour and every day felt like an the day had finally arrived he got a fairly strange text from Michael.
M: Bring me a beanie, scarf and coat later.
G: why?
M: reasons
G:?
M:...you'll see ;)
G: :(
He packed everything that Michael asked for and sat around for an hours before it was finally time to leave, he took one of the only running buses that day to the hospital.
He walked the up the road which was illuminated by street lights to the hospital which was still buzzing with drunken party-goers that had partied too hard. Slipping in was far more easy than Gavin thought it should've been. He just walked straight in and through to the ward, letting himself into Michael's room.
The light was on and Michael was pulling on pants, he turned and saw Gavin "oh, hey are you ready to go?"
"Go?"he asked
"yeah, you said you wanted to take me somewhere, didn't you?"
"yeah I did, but I meant when you were better, not while you can still hardly walk!, you're in no condition for me to take you anywhere!"
Michael laughed "holy shit, I'm fine, they did tests and everything, it's just the muscle thin now"
"I don't think you understand Michael, what if you fall over and bash your head, I don't know about you but I don't think I can handle the prospect of your death twice in my life!" Gavin's bottom lip quivered.
"Sorry... I just thought it would be fun to go out with you" he said "I think we should go, I'll be fine I promise, and you'll be there"
Gavin sighed "If you can walk to me, I'll consider it"
Michael stood up and spread his arms wide for balance and he lifted one leg slowly, swinging it forward and landing heavily on it before he brought the second up with it, he repeated this process until he fell into Gavin's arms.
"I did it" Michael laughed "now we have to go"
Gavin sighed again and helped Michael back over to his bed "alright we'll go but you have to take it easy, I don't want any incidents, donot under any circumstances let go of my arm, you will fall and I don't want that"
"got it dad"
Gavin tipped the contents of his bag across the bed and let Michael dress himself then he helped him up and they linked arms. Getting out was slightly harder than getting in. This was because Michaels slow moving attracted a little bit of attention but they were away before anyone acted on their suspicions.
"Do you have any money?" Gavin asked
"I do, my parents gave me some, I don't know why but they did" He shoved his hand in his pockets "here" he handed Gavin a small wad of tens, it amounted to forty dollars.
They walked down the street a while and Gavin called a taxi, informing Michael that it was much too far to walk, especially with him in this state.
Ten minutes later a taxi pulled up and they piled in, Gavin gave the creepy looking driver the address and they were off. It didn't take all that long to get there but the price was way over the top, the driver claiming it to be a "Christmas tax".
They got out in front of the park and headed through the gate.
"he was so fucking creepy and I think he was wearing a kilt" Michael said
they walked, and they walked and they walked.
"are we nearly there?"
"yes, shut up, I need to concentrate so we don't get lost"
"oh god we're gonna freeze to death out here" Michael said sarcastically "I'm going to die in the middle of nowhere"
"shut up"
They trudged trough the wet leaves, the water penetrating their shoes and seeping into their socks. The cold night air stung at their lungs, not allowing them to relax in any way. The trees toward overhead, their branches cracking the star filled sky with great black lines.
"We're here"Gavin whispered pushing a low hanging branch out of the way and stepping slowly forward.
The sky opened up before them, stretching in all directions.
"wow" Michael said, his jaw hanging open "it's so…wide"
He stood in shocked silence for a few moments before looking up at Gavin and saying something he'd been meaning to say for a while "I remembered it all Gavin a few days ago, I love you, I really do"
"..W- what?" Gavin stuttered in reply, he feared that he had somehow imagined everything he had just heard.
Michael looked deeply into Gavin's sparkling eyes and smirked, you heard me. He hooked his fingers inside Gavin's belt loops and pulled his forward until their hips knocked against each other, then he leaned up to match the other boy's height and kissed him at first gently then more passionately , easing his to tongue inside Gavin's slightly dry mouth before sliding out again. Gavin's arms wrapped around Michael, supporting him. They broke away hesitantly and slowly.
Michael whispered into his ear "I. Love. You. and I'll never forget that, never ever again"

so I once read this really sad fic and it was about Michael and Gav breaking up, and Gavin moving on but Michael still loves Gav. Then on every voicemail message Michael would say "P.s if this is Gavin, I still love you." and I just thought of it again and now I'm a little bit sad :[

Pairing: Mavin (Michael/Gavin)
Notes: Well fuck guys, the last chapter is soon. This is my first chaptered Mavin story that I've written. This is actually not my usual writing style too, usually I write in first person.
Words: 700+
March 1, 2:00 P.M
"Hey Gavin, It's Michael. I know I probably freaked you out by asking you on a date, but we don't have to if you don't want to, please call me back."
  March 3, 5:00 P.M
"Hey Gavvers, still no sign of you, well uh, you haven't been on xbox and you haven't come to the shop in a while, just call me when you can."
  March 7, 10:00 A.M
"Gavin can we please just talk? Please, Please just call me back, give me a sign I'm not cut out."
  March 7, 3:00 P.M
"Gavin. Call me back."
  March 8, 12:00 P.M
"Gavin please, did something happen to you?"
  March 8, 2:00 P.M
"Gavin just answer the fucking phone you British prick!"
  March 8, 1:00 A.M
"You know what fuck you, I'm trying so fucking hard to make things better and you won't even fucking speak to me! Fuck you Gavin Free, fuck you and you're stupid fucking face."
  March 8, 1:10 A.M
"I didn't mean it Gavin, please just, just let me know you're okay."
"Michael, are you okay?" Barbara asked as Michael came into work the morning of March ninth. Michael nodded his head.
"I'm fine, just," He paused, "Just didn't sleep well last night."
"You don't look like you slept at all." Barbara stated, frowning at him.
"Ha, isn't that ironic." Michael laughed bitterly and put on his apron, going behind the counter right as the door opened and the bell chimed.
"Welcome to the Cock Bite Coffee Shop, how can I help you?" Michael droned, no emotion carrying across his face.
"Well for one, you can stop being a fucking pussy." A familiar voice said causing Michael to actual look at the person.
'Of course, of fucking course it would be him.' Michael thought to himself, gazing plainly at the man in front of him.
There stood Geoff Ramsey in all his glory, his handle bar mustache still present, same fatherly look in his eyes, same tattoos.
"Fuck off and get your drink dick." Michael responded bitterly.
"What happened to you Michael?" Geoff asked, looking legitimately concerned.  Michael didn't respond, but Barbara surprisingly did.
"Why don't you just ask Gavin." Barbara shot off, Michael rose an eyebrow at her, a slight look of surprise flashed across his face. "Kerry filled me in on Gavin's family." She then explained. Geoff furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"What did Gavin do? Last I knew you two were like, best buddies or something." Geoff questioned.
"Barbara I'm taking a sick day, call in Kerry or Miles." Michael responded, ignoring Geoff. He started to walk out of the store and Geoff followed.
"Michael answer me, what happened. You look dead, last time I saw you, you were bursting with life and to be frank you were a bit of a dick even id Olivia liked you. What happened and why is Gavin involved?" Geoff pestered, following Michael down the sidewalk. Michael turned around, eyes flashing in anger.
"Have you ever liked someone so much that it shouldn't be possible? Becoming attached to someone in just a matter of weeks at a time. Putting everything on the fucking limb just to be ignored and shot down apparently. it fucking hurts Geoff. I put it all out for Gavin and to only be rejected and kicked out of his life." Michael paused, biting down on his lip. "I don't even exist anymore when it comes to him."
Geoff stood there has Michael was panting. People around them had stopped walking in order to listen to what was going on.
"Gavin is gone." Geoff finally said.
"What do you mean." Michael asked, shooting a look to the on lookers.
"He isn't in America right now, he left last Friday, after he visited you. He's currently in England doing a movie shoot with his Slow Motion shit." Geoff explained. Michael stood there, frozen. "That fucker didn't tell you after you confessed?" Geoff asked rhetorically.
"I've been trying to call him, and text him, I've tried everything Geoff." Michael muttered.
"His phone doesn't work in England dick weed, he has a different phone he uses since the services are different." Geoff stopped talking and shook his head, "What a fucking idiot. Michael, how would you like to come over to my house today?" Geoff asked.
"Why?"
"Because Gavin is coming home today in a couple hours and Olivia wanted to see you again anyways." Geoff said causally, "Now, come get in my car and let's go."
