Rookie: SF WR Brandon Aiyuk . Pro comp: HOFer Isaac Bruce . I compared Taylor to the legendary Beast Mode, so why not aim high with Brandon Aiyuk as well 😝 I'm stealing this pro comp from Kyle Shanahan when he compared Aiyuk to Hall-of-Fame WR Isaac Bruce. I truly believe Aiyuk's ceiling with Shanahan is Isaac Bruce, but he is nowhere near that now as a receiver. Right now Aiyuk possesses elite return skills, is a YAC master and has great quickness and speed. He is faster on the field than his 4.50s 40-time shows and a core muscle injury reportedly was the reason for the underwhelming 40 time. When it comes to evaluating wide receivers and getting the best out of them, always trust Shanahan over a fantasy football analyst like myself. . Expect Aiyuk to start as a returner his rookie year and be used similar to how Deebo Samuel was last season. I wouldn't draft Aiyuk in a 10-team redraft, but in deeper redraft leagues I like him as a late-round flier. In dynasty leagues I love him knowing the potential he has for the next 2-3 years. . Isaac Bruce averaged around 15 yards per catch on the Rams and consistently made big plays. Even though Aiyuk averaged an outstanding 17 yards per catch at Arizona State, that probably won’t translate to huge plays in the NFL right away.
