That gay mike post having almost 3000 notes on it is funny and confusing to me because 1) The post does in fact have incomplete and false statements on it (such as Will using the word sister on screen) and 2) I did not realize there even was 3000 gay mikers in the first place

I don't know the name of his trope but I really enjoy the the idea of a corrupted lover refusing to hurt the one they love.

An example, Flayed Mike Wheeler.

As a host to the Mind Flayer, Mike would have no problem hurting the party, using their own actions towards him against them, and overall destroying moral. After all, with the heart is sick, the rest of the body breaks down soon after.

However, when it comes to El, he always hesitates. He goes easy on her. Monologues extra long. Gives her hints. Maybe even saves her.

The Flayer wouldn't understand why that's happening, but it would tell the others that he can be saved.

Listen, I love Mike, he’s my favorite character in the show, but I think Louis and Donna should look into having his tongue removed, for their own sake, since Harvey clearly becomes an ogre whenever they get into a fight.

Exhibit A: the first half of season 4 (although there also was a healthy amount of empty-nesting there...). Exhibit B: She’s Gone. Exhibit C: The Statue.

There’s no obvious direct link between the facts, but, considering we still haven’t gotten a good explanation for why Harvey wanted to take down Jessica in early season 3, I’m gonna go ahead and assume it was because he was fighting with Mike.
